Broken Alchemy


It had all hapened that time the Elrics came to the town. They just had to meddle in people's affairs, all to get what they wanted. They caused the flood of red water, that flood that had nearly killed us all.

It's funny, how red water is used to create a philosopher's stone. After that 'accident' we were able to use alchemy, and not just use it, but bypass it. Alchemic laws didn't always apply to us. Sure, we still had to follow certain laws, but each of us could ignore using just one. I didn't have to worry about equivelant exchange, for example.

We were Broken Alchemists, but we were also scattered, until he found us. Our leader, who now calls himself the Chimera Master. He's been taking us on something like adventures ever since, but whenever anyone found out what we could do, special agents were sent in to try and abduct us. We were outcasts, but outcasts with power.

Now, we would show the whole world what we could do. The Chimera Master was able to copy Tim Marco's notes before the first branch burned to the ground when the Elrics returned to Central. We found out how to create a philosopher's stone, and were determined to finish our transformations. We would make the stone, hundreds of them, no matter the cost, just to become human stones ourselves. Then we would sell what was left to either the State or the Ishbalins.

This war had come at the perfect time, and unless either side bid for us, they would bid for the stone. All we had to watch out for was the Full Metal Alchemist and the tin can he called a brother. But there could be others. Not that they could take our work from us. No one could fight the Broken Alchemists, and win.


Well, I hope that this spread some light on the situation. Basically, in BA, we'll play as either Broken Alchemists or hunters searching for the Broken Alchemists. A little note though, I don't want more hunters than BAs because that would be unfair to them. Sorta.

If anyone wants to keep playing their character from Blood of the State, you'll have to sign them up again. Each person can have a maximum of three characters being played by them, if you can handle it of course. I've made some modifications to the Sign Up sheet from Chapter 1 just for this occassion.

I hope that this installment is as sucessful as the last one. Please join if you're interested, because the above story only introduces the backstory. The rest of the tale is yet to be shown.

I know what some people are thinking. What, no gender option? Well, that's part of a twist. Most names pretty much tell you if the character is a guy or gal in the first place, so looking back there's no real need for a gender category.

Like last time, I want to make sure that at least someone else is interested in this. So I'll post my own sign up after someone else at least posts here. Please join. If you're an original member, you remember all the pretty cool things about the first installment and I hope you join this one too.

[B]Personality:[/B] Celia has had a hard time since her mother's death. She lived with her crazt aunt who hated anything that dealt with alchemy. She is a hard worker and acts cheerful and carefree even though she is very lonely on the inside. Celia tries her best to hear both sides of a story before making a descion.She is very a very caring person because of her job. She had to learn to care for others and doesn't like to see them get hurt. Celia is very easy to talk to and likes to listen to people in hoping that she can solve their problems.

[B]Bio:[/B] Celia's parents were both State alchmists who feel in love at first site. They married and a few months after the wedding her mother became pergent with her. Because of the pregency her mother had to take a break from alchemy. As the body prepared for the birth of Celia her father started becoming more reserved. Nine months later Celia was born and her mother was sent on a misson. As Celia's mother worked her father fooled around with other women in the village. When her mother heard of this she killed herself from the shock. When her father relized what he had done he left young Celia on his sister's steps and went to away. No one ever heard from him again.
Celia's aunt was kind and gentle at first raising Celia as her own. That is untill she found out that Celia had an intrest in alchmey. Her aunt tried to give the know ten Celia to her mother's brother, Mustang, but he refused. As Celia grew more fasintated by the art of alchemy her aunt went deeper into insanity. She begane to beat her every night she practiced the art untill she finally gave it up. Or so she thought.
Celia pretended to be an ordinary apothacary but during her down time she practiced and read from her father's large library of alchemy books. She studied to become one of the best alchmist and made a vow that she would use her powers to help people. But as they war came closer to her home her secret became harder to hide from her aunt. When her aunt finally relized what Celia had been doing in the dead of the night she cut Celia giving her a large scar across her face. As she left Celia in her blood she had muttered something under her breath that upset Celia very much. She had said, "No good will ever come from the child of saten worshipers." All the years of secret training and hidden hate caused Celia to erupt in an explosion of anger. She had passed out and reawoken with her aunts mangled dead body of the ground beside her. SHe looked in horror and saw that her own hands were stained with blood. Celia began to cry out for what she had done was cruel and distasteful.
In the back of her mind however, a small feeling grew. One of comfert and happiness. She was now free of the chain that had wrapped its rusty links around her throat so thightly in her years of youth. Shortly after the war finally reached her hometown and ravaged it completly. Celia and a few lucky others survived together they worked to rebuild the town smaller though because ofthe lack of people. Celia did most of the work with the aid of alchemy and had saved a few lives in hope of repenting for killing her aunt. Mustang came to the town to see if Celia had survied and after witnessing her skills in alchemy tried to get her to join the State Alchmist. She refused saying, "I rather die than join the orgination that lead to my parents demise."
After her statement she left the village taking with her a promise and an oath. Celia is now a State Alchmist but, only by blackmail. She never toke the money from Isis and decided to ask her uncle for money. He said yes but, only on one condination , she had to join the state alchmists. He told her that she would be a shoe -in for the state. She was hestite at first but, gave into his demands. He was right too, she was easily expect and given the name the Firecat Alchmist for her temper and her use of fire when she performs alchemy, just like her uncle. Not many alchmists know of the relation between the Flame Alchmist and the Firecat Alchmist and they both keep the sercet well hidden. Another reason she was given the name was for the alchemy she used during the feild test. She had connjured up a flames in the shape of a lion. She id known to conjuor up firebirds to and use them as transportation. She is immune to the flames so she does not get burned.
Celia is also half Isbalian due to her father. Her father was alive during the Isbalian Massacre and escaped with his younger sister. To hide their identies they went to an ahlcmist who altered their eye color though he could do nothing about the skin tone. No one knows that Celia has Isbalin blood flowing through her veins. Since joining the State she has forgotten about Isis and has increased her realtionalship with Tai.

Bio: Captured by the homoculi because before becoming a Ba was a master at mixing potions called the azure alchemist because of her abiility to turn water into a thick blue liquid she called Omnipuddy she was captured to see if she can turn the fake blood of lust into real blood she was started fighting against Lust thier blood mixed for weeks after she tried to find a way to extend tehe period of transformation when she found an old book with the anwser she used the book to extend the period for a year and she amphied it useing her knowledge of alchemy to make the symbol last forever she is the only one who knows it

Personality: Kyoske is dark. He doesnt like to be talked to, well to hold a conversation with anyone really. He normally gives short answers to any questions, but will give a lengthy one if need be.

Weapons: He normally uses a sword his father made for him and a single .9 mm pistol that was made by his mother right before she died.

Bio: Kyoske was born into a military family. When he was old enough, his father took him to the place of the Ishbalin massacre. His father kept telling him how wrong it was, yet there was nothing he could do about it. From that point, Kyoske swore that he would never be able to help anyone that was involved with it and left his parrents.

Before he left, they each gave him a present, his father gave him a sword that was said to never be able to be broken. His mother,while on her death bed from an illness that Kyoske didn't know about, created a gun that had strong alchemic power.

Before he left, his father had given him a name that had to do with the type of alchemy that he uses. His father named him the 'Soul taker Alchemist'. The name has no meaning to the state, but most of the state members know who he is by that name.

During his time with Michael and the others, he began to open up with his attitude. He now acts like a 17 year old, but still has his normal, dark sides. Now that he has heard about the Chimera Master, and agian teamed up with the Ishbalins to protect them.

To business. Aura Star, it hasn't even been an entire year since BotS. It's been more like seven months. It was built a good deal around Isis's situation with becoming a humonculi, but also with enough time to rest and rebuild.

I have to have two characters now!

Name: Michael
Age: 23 (he had a birthday since last time)
Side: Ishbal
Job: Gunslinger

Description: Dark skin, red iris, and black hair down to his shoulders. Wears a black undershirt, black pants, and a heavy black coat with silver trimming (3 black items? Goth much?) Has no real limbs, automail arms and legs. These are a dull grey now, and he covers his hands with gloves and his feet with (guess the color, go on, guess!) black boots.

Personality: He never acts exactly how he feels, having complicated emotions about people. He naturally distrusts everyone even if he knows that he can trust them. He always seems unsure of how to act if it means cooperating, but he also has a deep sense of loyalty that never lets him do the wrong thing.

Weapons: His two trusty pistols that are holstered inside his coat, hidden from view.

Bio: The typical child who didn't know what was right or what was wrong. As a child during the Ishbal conflict, before the massacre, he snuck food to injured soldiers. One time, he was caught by extremely volatile guards. They were planning on killing him slowly and cut off his arms and legs for the torture, making sure he lived till the end.

Luckily, a superior officer found them and ordered the two away. He personally delivered Michael back to his home, and he would never forget that Alchemist's name, Marco. Tim Marco.

His family escaped the slaughter, and found a mechanic willing to perform the operation on a small boy. That's how he gained his new arms. He couldn't feel pain, and practiced on reaction time and accuracy when he was given a gun at age seventeen.

During the ordeal with the humonculi, Michael grew close to a local Ishbalin girl named Reycha. He plans on proposing if they survive the war. But even before that he wants to help save Isis, because he feels slightly responsible. They've contacted each other several times over the past year, but with no end to the disease in sight.

Alchemist Name: Inequivelance

Description: Light skin, green eyes, and brown hair. Not thin, but not close to overweight either. Wears a black (again?) cloak with the hood up to cover his face. Has a deep purple loose cloth mask and jumpsuit. The mask is pulled up over his nose, like all the other Broken Alchemists.

Personality: Demented would sum it up pretty well. He lost his ideas of good and evil a long time ago, and follows orders to the letter. He is loyal to the Chimera Master only. He would kill mindlessly, if he could kill at all.

Weapon: Uh, nothing. He uses whatever he transmutes, usually a knife.

Bio: Was one of the twenty or so people lost in a flood of red water that was held to a mountain by the Full Metal Alchemist. The prolonged exposure to the substance gave him, and the others, certain aspects of the philosopher's stone.

Jason was able to ignore alchemy's first law of equivelant exchange. He can now take anything and transmute it into anything. His favorite thing to do is transmute pebbles into knives, a very clear show of his power.

Chimera Master plans on using him to transmute a huge amount of red water so that they can create philosopher's stones. Jason knows, through the grapevine, that a mercenary is searching for one of the Broken Alchemists. Which one, he doesn't know. None of the Broken know who each other are, possible a deadly mistake.

usually harmless, in battle, he's one of the most deadly fighters you'll ever see.
He of course wears a military uniform. He has blue eyes that are very reassuring his
hair is black and very nicely groomed.
Personality: He's very kind and respectfull towards nature. He despises murders and outlaws. If you ever fight him in battle, his face will probably be the last thing you see.
Weapons: Transmuted weapons(swords, spears, staffs.)
Bio: All that's known is that he started studying alchemy after his parents were killed by thieves. He became a State Alchemist when he was 16 years old. He's been loyal to the military since.

Description: Below expect a black trench coat

Personality: Free spirited and loves to flrit with the ladies. If he has somthing to say he will say it even though it might hurt someone, he does get serious when neeeded.

Weapons: Asword like in the pic but also has a katanna hiden inside his trench coat and has two of the semi auto guns. His left hand is also made out of metal and has two claws that come out. He uses it as a last resort.

Bio: Kyoske's best friend. His hand got cut off during a raid on a Ishbalin camp when he tried to kill the person who killed his entire family. H met Kyoske shortly afterward who fixed his hand. He can't really remember his past.

After the last meeting with everyone, he parted ways with Kyoske, trying to find out his past. He jasnt found much out but he knows now that his family died trying to give him a chance to get away.

One day while he was on his own, he was asked by a stranger to hunt down and kill some people that have went up agianst the law. Damon kept telling the stranger that it had nothing to do with him but the stranger offered him alot of money and Damon finally agreed to hunt down the BAs.
