ChibiHorsewoman
Now here's a pointless thread I can be proud of. What's your favorite candy? And why? And do you have a certain way of eating it? Yes I am weird, what do you want me to do about it? Okay as for me I have a few favorite candies- mostly chocolate ones, but I go for 'healthy candy (hello oxymoron) now and then. I love Hot Tamales and Jelly Bellies. The best ones are: Cinnamon, tangerine, grapefruit, strawberry daqurrie, peach and chocolate. I hate buying them though because they run about $5.99 a pound :animeangr As far as chocolate goes. Snickers, Almond Joy and KitKat. Snickers are only good frozen though. Nad KitKats are best eatten chocolate first. I couldn't eat almond joy around a former co-worker because she's extremely allergic to coconut. I don't know why I like them. Maybe because it's a false sense of security. Or they taste good with ice cream. Nothing else to say, but I hope that maybe this generates discussion. Maybe I know that I once had a food fight invloving jellybeans, and I used to steal teh above from my brother's candy bags at halloween.
Sui Generis
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of candy. I mean most of it is really way to sweet for me. Normally if I eat too much of a candy I get very very sick, but there are a few exceptions. There is this candy that has just recently came out (within the last year or two) around my area called Ferrero Rochers and they are probably the best things since...peanut butter. They are absolutely deliciuose, I got a pack of 40 for Easter and they were all gone before the lunch. I could eat these things all day long! Has anyone ever had them before? Oh man I love them. Another favorite of mine is Haribo Gummi Bears. I'm an absolute sucker for Haribo Gummi Bears! I really don't care for many other gummi bears, but man Haribo just hits the spot!!! Haribo is a german company, so pretty much all of their gummi bears are imported into the U.S, but they are still pretty darn cheap. And my last candy would have to be Chocolate Covered Gummi Bears. Probably the most expensive candy I could mention, running at 9.99 a lb around here, but man these things are so freaking delicoiuse. I rarely get to have them, considering how expensive they are, but when I have them they are gone quicker than the Rochers. Its a perfect blend of chocolate and gumminess....*smiles* They're soooo yummy!

I'm a candy fanatic, which is bad because no matter how much I brush my teeth, I still get cavaties(getting fillings hurts!) Anyhoo, one of my most favorite candies would be gobstoppers! Those are so addictive and colourful. My fav one is the green one. I also love nerds!! They are so sweet and have a unique taste. I like to add them to bubblegum when it loses its flavour. I love smarties, hershey's (the almond or almond and toffee kind), and peanut m&ms. However, when I go to the states I cannot eat the chocolate because its too bitter!! :animestun
Godelsensei
Interestingly, you're more likely to contract Mad Cow from Gummi Bears than a t-bone. I am not a big fan of candy: Nerds, Gobstoppers, chewing gum...eh. It's all kind of dull. However, I adore chocolate. Just about any kind of chocolate, with anything in it, on it, or whatever. I can't resist it. It's just so yummy and endorphin-releasing. That said, I guess I'm more into pastries than candy. Butter > marrow extract.

I love candy, which means I don't really have an all-time favorite it depends on what I'm in the mood for. As far as Gummi things go, I don't really like the bears and I prefer Sweedish Fish. Those things are delicious, and sour. Yum. For chocolate, I'll usually settle for Rolo's or Twix. I love Chocolate and carmel together, it's just the best. I also love skittles, gum, nerds and lollipops. You gotta love blowpops. I can't help it, I'm addicted to them.
Delta
There's this chocolate from Cadbury that local stores only release during Valentine's season. Pinky's the name and I heart it to pieces. It's got this ultra-sweet marshmallow center (in pink!) smothered in divine Cadbury milk chocolate. Ah, heaven.
Interestingly, you're more likely to contract Mad Cow from Gummi Bears than a t-bone.
Oh really? Ah well, the symptoms won't set in until some 30 years after ingestion, yeah? BTW, bite the Bear's head off first. That's the best way to eat them Gummi fellas.
shinji172
bite the Bear's head off first. That's the best way to eat them Gummi fellas.
How very true :animesmil . My favourate Is constantly changing. Currently it's Twix but last month it was Mars bars :animestun . In my oppinion, The best way to eat a twix is to eat the top layer first, leaving the bottom layer which should considt of the biscuit and most of the chocolate (same applies to mars bars). if theres nothing chocolate then i settle for some gummy bears, Jelly babies or something similar. Fall
Im not too fond of lollies. Any kind. I mean, I don't mind 'em, but if I cant have 'em, it isn't a big deal. Chocolate, I'm not that fond of either. Except, honeycomb. Or caramel. Or nut-chocolate. Love it. Also, peppermint. I like that too.
Kanariya
I'm not a big fan of candy anymore (Which I suppose is kinda odd because I'm young), but if anything, I adore Cadbury eggs and Bazooka Joe. XD I love the little comic things, and one my friend found was actually kinda perverted..
Sara
Gummi Bears (Goldbären!) are awesome. :) I'm a huge sucker for melt-in-your-mouth foreign chocolate. Mimmi sent me some scrumptious chocolate wafers a few months ago--dear goodness. The best chocolate you can get in America is Seroogy's. They supply chocolate bars ($1 each) for fundraisers. And good gosh. You could pay for a trip to the moon selling that chocolate. It is so good.
Lord Dante
I like old-english sweet shop favorites, like pear drops, pinaple cubes, and rhubarb and custard. but when i went to germany, i found a really small shop for chocolatiers, and i must say, the stuff in there would have blown your head off, it was so nice. kinda put a dent in my wallet, at ?21.50 a pound.... Sure, cake is good, but Candies are kinda powerful... *shrug* But, I'm a sucker for Starburst. I love all the flavors and all that jazz. THey really rock my socks off! ^_^
bimbo69
I don't really eat sweets that often. My favourite is the Haribo Starmix because it has loads of different types of sweets in it. I also like blackcurrent Chewits and Opal fruits (Starburst) I prefer chocolate, i love anything by Cadbury's but i think my fav is the Creme Egg it is beautiful. It's a shame that it isnt avalible for the whole year.
Sapphire Flare
HARIBO! I eat their gummy frogs all the time mmmm... Wow I really need to try that cadbury stuff, sounds good. :animeknow I have jelly bellies in my house, my sister got to them first so now only the nasty flavors are left... but my ALL TIME FAVORITE candy has got to be... COOKIE DOUGH BITES! mmmm a glass of milk and a box of cookie dough bites and I am set for the rest of the day. I like to flatten them (because they come in spheres) and then they look like actual cookies and you can eat them... yum...
Sara
I also really like Bit-O-Honeys. Honey candy, heheh. Yum! I got a big bag of those once, munched (well, chewed) on them for days. I'm also a fan of saltwater taffy--there's something wonderfully good (and heralding back to childhood) about eating chewy candies wrapped in waxed paper. Speaking of which, Tootsie Roll Pops. Oh, and Ring Pops! Anyone remember those? I only had a few as a kid, but I was always SO happy when I got one, because the commericials were always so tantalising. They really were messy, though--you tried to eat them, and you ended up with sticky slobber all over your hand. Push Pops were the same way--the whole contraption got wet and icky, heh. And did anyone else have the little things--just long strips of paper with colored sugar drops on them? They really weren't that good, but I'd get them at the corner drug store because they'd last forever. Yes. I was one of the lucky children who lived by a corner drug store. Be jealous. Be oh-so-jealous.
sakurasuka
My favorite candy bar would have to be those S'Mores bars. The marshmellow layer is kinda funky, but I love the 'golden grahm' layer... I wonder how they make that. It has the slightest hint of a brown sugar/honey taste to it. Next would be any kind of chocolate. I actually like dark chocolates the best because they are so rich. Not too sweet ~_^ The only candy I like that isn't chocolate or some kind of chocolate bar would have to be Jolly Ranchers. If you've ever had one, you know what I mean.

When I was in first grade, my favorite candy in the world was Jolly Ranchers. It's like they've got twice as much flavor as they should, heh. Amazing. Anyone else ever wonder about all the "blue raspberry" candies that taste nothing like raspberry? Just an excuse to turn kids' mouths blue (but hey, who's complaining?) I always liked red candies because they made me feel like Snow White ("her lips like blood...").

Lord Dante
Honeycomb. I'm not sure if this counts as a candy or not but it's frickin' sweet (literally). you can only buy it off of the farmer's market where i live though, and that only comes twice a year... :(
DeathBug
I will eat any product produced in the Reese's line of candies. Even if I think it'll be bad, I at least have to give it a shot. Having said that, my favorites are white chololate Reese's Cups and Reese's Pieces. Yes, I like white chocolate better than dark choclate. And yes, I'd kick a monkey for more Reese's Pieces right now. Reese's Pieces are my favorite candy of all time. However, Chocolate Lover's Reese's and PB-Lover's Reese's are an abomination against God, because they change the ratio of chocolate-to-peanut butter in the cups. That ratio is perfect! That's why Reese's are so good in the first place!
celestialcharm
I forgot to mention that another one of my favorite candies is Maple Sugar Candy!! When I went to Quebec, I bought a bunch because it's just so good and sweet. They're also shaped like Maple leaves(well the kind I bought.) Oh yeah!! HAPPY CANADA'S DAY PEOPLE!!! :animesmil
Whiteblaze
I?d have to say that most candy just doesn?t satisfy me anymore except chocolate stuff. Chocolate will never let me down! So most of the time I don?t eat any because it?s nothing exciting; for example I used to love a Snicker?s bar, but now I just don?t have any craving for them anymore. Reese?s Pieces; most people that I know love them and so do I! The one candy that I find to be just so good and really my favorite are these lollipops called Big Slice Pops. They have so much delicious flavor they put Jolly Ranchers to shame. They even come in two rather uncommon flavors: Peach (my favorite), and Pineapple. Also, I like how they?re shaped like water melon slices unlike other lollipops save for this one Mexican pop which I forget the name of. They really aren?t the ?mainstream? kind of candy in the sense that not many people know of them.
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of candy. I mean most of it is really way to sweet for me. Would you beat a conservative republican to a bloody pulp for a two pound bag of Reese's Pieces? Sorry, I couldn't resist. If it makes you feel any better, I'd beat the crap out a of a liberal for a bag of Kit Kat bars. :animesigh Personally I prefer good old fashioned milk chocolate to either white or dark chocolate. Goodbye, Face
Like Sui Generis, candy makes me sick very fast, especially M&M's, so I try to avoid those. I like fruit candies more than chocolates. I love those Japanese candies they sell at anime stores, I have a friend who stocks up on that stuff and I always steal a bag from him, lol. I have no idea what they're called, but they have a little cartoon frog on the packaging. I also like Jolly Ranchers, Dots, and Gobstoppers.
