WW2
Well its been a while since I last posted some of my artwork, and I've been pretty busy. But now, since I've nothing better to do, I've decided to post once again. Over the past few months I've taken a computer art class at my college, which introduced me to the wonders of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. While taking the class I managed to create some pretty good work. Now some of the images may look a little grainy, thats because they're scanned versions of printouts. Thicker than Water This is the first picture I ever created with Adobe Illustrator. I drew the entire thing with one of those electronic pen things, and it took me about 2 weeks to complete it. Looking Glass This weird looking thing was done on Photoshop. It was originally a photo of a bunch of multi-colored glasses (thus the title), but I used the liquify tool to make it all screwy, and added some colors of my own. Ok...I think thats enough for one post. Please tell me what you think......otherwise I won't be able to post more. :D
Who Am I?
Out of the two I have to say my favorite one is the Looking Glass... But I gotta comment on both of them... Thicker Than Water: I like the background. It's like an aura surrounding the man. I'm not sure what the picture means but it looks nice. My favorite part on that was the lighting on the guy's arm. It looks cool. Very bright and bold. Looking Glass: It is my favorite because of the colors and how you mixed them together. Like abstract. Very bright and unique. One side of the picture though, looks like flowers. Very creative on this with the colors. Well there's mine! -Who Am I? sakurasuka
Wow, these are quite impressive. thicker than water- I really like the fact that you actually drew this one. Two weeks is a long time... Anyway, you did an awesome job on this one. You are apparently a good artist, and I'd love to see your freehand sometime. looking glass- Also nice. It looks a bit forced on the bottom left, like you were trying to make it look like the rest of the image. It looks kinda like you tried too hard to make it match the swirls on the top right. *srugs* Maybe it's just me, but I think that's why it looks particularly grainy in that area. Other than that minor detail (Though details count, that is one that is just personal preferance, so don't worry about it.) You have done an awesome job! You mentioned taking a collage course. How long have you used PhotoShop?
WW2
Hey...people actually replied! Yay! :animesmil Thanks for your feed back. A for sakurasuka's question, I was only able to use Photoshop that one semester: about 4 and half months. Now since people posted, I can display more of my work. City Nights Like the one before, I did this one on photoshop. I used the same method, only this time it was a photo of a city skyline that liquified. Oh and since you wanted to see some of my freehanded stuff, heres a couple of pics. Note: Some of these might seem kinda freaky and or disgusting. Crimson I basically drew this pic to test out some red pens that I'd just gotten. I wanted the entire pic to be in different shades of red ink. Lust This weird looking pic was just something I did in class one day. I pretty much made it up as I went along. Its supposed to be a physical representation of Lust: with the woman luring you in, so the beast can devour you. Heh...my art teacher said it looked like something H.R. Giger would do. Well thats it for now....please tell me what you think
sakurasuka
Yay! More art! City nights- This one is basically the same as Looking Glass, since you did use the same effect ~_^ I do like this one. Not quite as much appealing as looking glass, but a nice piece. Since that effect makes everything so... Well, liquidy, it may be a good idea to either go light/colorful or dark/muted, since light/muted would look bad and dark/colorful (What yours is) doesn't flow as nicely as the first one. (looking glass) Yet again, may just be personal preferance. Crimson- I really like this one. The contrast in the dark feel and the brigt red (Being the only color) is pulled off AMAZINGLY. Also, I notice she is wearing a cross around her neck. Is this meant to have sybolic meaning, or am I just reading too far into things? Lust- I have nothing bad to say about this one, it's simply awesome. It perfectly portrays the danger, anger, ugliness and heartbreak that follows when you let lust lead you rather than love.
WW2
Well thanks for the reply...as for the symbolic meaning of the cross...um...it means whatever you want it to. Ok, moving on....these will probably be the last pics I post for a while, at least until I upload more onto my computer. Gangsta Blast ad Heh..ok this was a ad I did as one of my final projects. As you might be able to tell I took a pic of me (dressed as a thug) and a pic of a brick wall, scanned em' into Photoshop and added all the text, the cigarette, and paint. Oh and the bullet holes in the shirt were actually there, me and my brother shot it up with a shotgun and magnum. Who needs gun control? Guns are fun!!!:D ToGetHer Ok..I'm not sure if I ever posted this pic before...its pretty old. But odds are none of you've seen it. Eh...its basically just a pencil drawing I did, with a black ink outline. Ok...until I post again, keep those replies coming. See ya
