You... rock... so... much...
I love the way you did the 'fish-eye' shape in the first image and the whole lot of details in the background. Each lamppost even has it's own glow o_O! I also love how you made yourself sepia-like while the background is very colourful. And... your expression is cool xP
The second one is awesome aswell. I've always been terrible with cutting and pasting in real, so this really rocks me out of my shoes. It's really my taste of something I'd love to have on my wall ^^

Whoa! Please, please, please stay in the Art Forum please! You rock so much it's scary.

The first one is pretty good. I can't really give you any feedback as I 1) don't draw and 2) it's too awesome to feasibly critique and not look like a jerk-face.

The second is exactly what I've been trying to imitate in my digital medium. Sadly, I haven't been able to do something like this. I mean, it looks like you must've cut something out of a magazine, but being drawn kicks some major-***. All I don't like is the red space at the top. It's a bit too much... but I like this.

I'm safe in giving these both 10s/10, as these (in my opinion) are as close to perfect as I'm going to see.

Number three. Jesus. Awesome. Same comments apply as number one. Meaning nothing. You rock so much it's scary. *worships*

I'm going to say this now, keep posting and your going to develop a fan club here.

*** I'll edit this post later, I need to stare some more.

First of all, let me complement you on your art style as a whole that I'm viewing on these two images. It's wonderful, pleasing to both the eyes and the mind. I've been staring at these things since I saw then. Looking over them repeatedly, every time it's like I'm finding something new that I've missed before.

In your first image the way you've build up the city is very well done. It all really lights up or 'glows' against you the brown/orange, blue, and black in the sky. You've merge that colors so that it gives a sense of movement, I absolutely adore it. The curving buildings seems to be thought out just right, giving them slight deportations as it hits the white, red, and black sign on the corner. Everything flows well, and the person's personality and expression is really brought out by the colors of which you've used. Nice hair curlers.

My favorite of these [strike]two[/strike] three images of which you've posted. I love the cutout feel of this collage, and it sends a rather strong message. Good placement and good use of mediums. I'm in such awe of this image I'm kind of in a loss of for words.

Your third image would work greatly in an image series with your second. Both direct strong emotions and can send ideas to the viewer that are in the same subject area but totally revamp the other. The way you have created the smoke, blending in the shades of grey and red against the blue is lovely. Placements of the planes and the soldiers in contrast to the foreground and background. Especially as it rises up to form desert like peak from the rolling green and torn dreary base. I love the man in front design. Very powerful expression.

here is a more fan based pic i did today of Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi.

EDIT: here is another collage based piece with acrylic and charchoal.

this one is all collage based, its a representation of Masami Yuuki(creator of Patlabor)

Yes, I'm afraid that we don't allow double posting on OtakuBoards, despite how cool your artwork is. :p If you wish to add something to your previous post, you can use the Edit button, or if you want to show some more stuff you can wait until someone else posts. It's not like you'd be waiting long, haha. -Syk3

Ehh... double posting isn't allowed, but these are too good not to critique now.

Ahh, the first one is great! I love all the colors melt together -- it gives the piece alot of brewing emotion. The detail of the ...woman's? neck is great, and how 'her' back is turned on the gunman, who also has his back turned. I only wish you topped this great piece off with making the gunman a bit more 3d. He feels flat... or perhaps that was your intention. Interesting...

*drool* Wow, I'm staring at Yuuki, and he's amazing. All the framents uniting to create something larger that just colors. I love the background especially, with all the crumbled paper and other assorted textures. Really makes things feel 3d.

You're the best thing since sliced bread, so don't leave. Got it?

i actually wanted the gunman to be flat in the sense that there is a high constrast, blinding light, cascading around his body, which creates a shadow. That piece was one of the funnest ones i created, it was ment to go together with Protect and Serve(one with planes and soldiers). When creating pieces like that you need to let go and just create, not focusing on what will become of the piece of paper.

Heres are two more that fit in with a concentration.

I actually feel bad for not noticing this sooner. I'm not much of an artist concerning photoshop and things of that nature, however the more traditional art I truly love and am passionate about. However, I don't see much of that here, hence my lack of posting in this forum, in this particular area. However, after rambling as such I must say I will be more attentive in this forum. Your artwork is truly amazing and as those above me have said you have a great deal of talent. I don't believe you need any praise from me, however, since you've already gotten it from Retri, Boo, etc, some of the best around here, in my opinion.

Anyhow the last two you posted were my favorite of the bunch. I enjoy your character very much, and his placement in the assortment of pieces you've shown make the meaning that much more blatant for those who observe your artwork. I havn't really read anything you've written since I like to see the work and percieve what it means for myself, even if it turns out to be wrong or off the general topic you were going for. Anyhow, congrats on your popularity here and kudos to you for all the fantastic artwork you've shown. Thanks

Woo, go riots! I liked that one because of the kid's facial expression. He seems to say "come 'n get it, suckers!" His eyes, alll crazed and clearly exuding excitement. I think you should color it some day; it'd be a blast, in more ways than one ^_~

The second picture looks as if it should be a camera advertisement. Very focal, and that tower in the background demands your attention. Not to sure about this one, but it's amazing nonetheless..

Yuu could say im heavily influenced by 80s punk, its what i listen to the most. It probably explains the mohawks. :D

this is one of my, more humerous creations. done in you guessed it, acrylic, charcoa, and collage(girl in background is collage)

l

This is another tokyo influenced piece done in water color and charcoal.

Oh man, maybe it's me, but I adore all the Tokyo influences. I can't specify what exactly it is--perhaps the movement and colors. The humorous one, I can't quite figure it out--but I do like it ^_^ I love the man's facial expression. He looks like he's in a state of euphoria or relaxation. I absolutely love the water. Water is a subject matter that is tough to make look tangible. But yours is nicely done. In fact, it looks as if there's a spotlight on the man..now that I continue to look on it. There's so much to look at in these pictures. Every one of them that you've posted, I never get bored looking at them.

Hey,
Wow, you're really really really x 123637 good. I think my favorite picture has to bte the one of the jet. IT's just so...dare I say...cool. Freakin' awesome, schweetzorz roxors, and other random internet things work well too. The jet, and the person, and..I don't really know how to say it but it's awesome. I think the only thing I would like different would be for the person in the Jet picture to have a face. I wasn't quite sure what was up with the crossed mask.

~RtT

PS. My second favorite would be the Tokyo/Japan picture you based your first picture on.

And it also explains why I'm catching hints of Clockwork Orange in some of your pieces, notably the riot piece. Add in some more eyeliner, a bowler hat, and you'd have Alex DeLarge. ~_^

This piece was based of the SARS epidemic in China, it was done in marker.

I created this piece out of complete randomness and slight boredom. It was done in water color, magazine, and charcoal.

Retribution's signature is correct, OB did get pwned. Your work is amazing. I was thinking of putting some of my stuff up, but the pictures I've done that are around your pics' quality amounts to very little, as in 3, 4... at the most 5. My favorites are the city pictures, as well as the plane and the Godzilla-inspired picture (lol).
