Anime Best Anime Girl Tournament R2 M7: Naru (Love Hina) vs. Lucy/Nyu (Elfen Lied)

Short-tempered brawler vs. dual personalities!

My only rule is to not spam up these threads. Don't just post the character that you voted for's name. If you're going to say who you voted for, then explain why you voted for who you voted for, even if that explanation is just quoting someone that shares your sentiments. It doesn't need to be complicated. Even something as simple as "I voted for Asuka because she has a lot more spunk than Rei" or "I voted for Asuka because she has a lot of spunk" will work. So long as it has more substance than "Asuka" or "Asuka's better", its fine.


Lucy/Nyu probably will win. A lot of Love Hina fans seem to dislike Naru, while pretty much every Elfen Lied fan seems to like both Lucy and Nyu.

(like I said last time: small eyes = Lucy; big eyes = Nyu)

I thought that I was going to have to think on this one for a bit, but actually wasn't that hard to decide on. Lucy/Nyu gets my vote.

But that doesn't mean that Naru isn't a good character in her own right. Sure she's a short tempered hypocrit when it comes to Keitaro, but she's really friendly and caring to everyone else, without seeming like a softy/push over. It would really hurt to get hit by that right...

In case you couldn't figure it out, Lucy and Nyu are two different personalities that live in the same body. Lucy's hardcore. The first 5 minutes of EL is a bloodfest of Lucy tearing people apart. I get the feeling that we don't know a lot about Lucy's character at this point (episode 4), but it seems like she's going to develope into a misunderstood sentimental character that retains her badass streak. And Nyu's just cute. I wouldn't mind having a pet like that. I don't really have anything bad to say about either personality. Did I mention that I really hate that green jester hat that Yuka gives her? How could anyone keep that in their wardrobe? That's thing's terrible, even for clowns.

Looks... I like them about the same here.

I never thought i'd have a difficult time choosing between two characters. damn this is a difficult choice.

I'm going to have to choose Naru. I love the love hina series, and naru is one of my favorite characters, so i'm casting my vote for naru.

Lucy easily. Naru was probably one of the few characters I liked in Love Hina, but someone from Love Hina has already moved on so Lucy gets my vote. Also Lucy has a great split personality and both her sides are very enjoyable to watch in the Elfen Lied anime.

Also, Naru was to much like a typical female anime character taking [spoiler] up to around the last episodes to confess her feelings to whatever the main guys name was in Love Hina [/spoiler]. Lucy is probably the only one i have left in this since Haruka, Kanzaki, and Caska are all out of the tournament....some how.

That's the one thing that really irritated me with Naru, and also the reason why this wasn't too hard. I would have directly confronted her a long time before the chase if I were in Keitaro's shoes.

Naru's makes up for it in the rest of the series, though.

I'm still trying to figure out how anybody can like Su, and its even more of a mystery how anyone could vote for Su over Kanzaki... that little ***** annoyed me every step of the way.

Naru looks really generic anyway ~_~ At least Nyuu is cute (plus she's got pink hair... I have a weakness for girls with pink hair).

:animestun *sighs* Man, these are getting tough...well, I liked Naru, but I thought she was much better in Love Hina Again...she had more of an elegant touch to her...but in Love Hina, she was always so manly and muscular :animedepr Not appealing...but, even though Lucy rips peoples limbs off and is a devastating killer...she has a cute side when she's Nyuu :animesmil so...I vote for Lucy

She is beautiful, talented, agrovating, annoying... But she is very cute. Lucy does indeed look stunning, but does she have the same appealing characteristics as Naru? To be truthful, I am only voting for Naru due to having seen the Love Hina series: in which I fell in love with her. Perhaps if I had seen the other contender in action my oppinoin would be different, however, untill then...
