Wishing people a Happy 4th of July is nice, but it doesn't really give much to discuss. So how about what traditions do you follow or what types of activities do you do on this holiday?

My dad's birthday is actually on the 5th of July so we pretty much ignore the 4th except to watch the big fireworks and then we have a huge barbeque and party the next day to celebrate both the 4th and my Dad's birthday. It's alot of fun! I look foward to that as much as I do to seeing the fireworks. ^_^ Some of my friends go camping or have a big get together with all their family. How about all of you?

[COLOR=Navy]My birthday was yesterday, so my family mostly celebrates that instead of the 4th of July. I can't complain. Though it is nice to celebrate two things instead of just one.

The one thing I hate about the 4th is that everyone is away at their lake cabins or out of town. No friends to celebrate with me.[/COLOR]
