Just a thread to share unusual things you've seen going home from somewhere... I'm pretty sure no one esle has made one like this, which is why I'd like to! :animesmil

I'll start!

On the way home from school, I was walking looking at the sky, when the group of teens in front of me stopped and where looking at something behind a wirefence. Wondering what was so interesting, I glanced over to see a ZEBRA!!! :animestun :therock:

I was really surprised by this, until I remember that we live behind Safari Texas, because I'm a walking distance from my house to my school, I just was lucky to see a zebra that wondered so close to the gate.

Come on, man! How many people can say to their mom, "No, nothing interesting happened at school today...OH! But I saw a zebra on the way home." :D

So, what do you think? ;)

On the ride home from school once, I saw a drunk man stumbling down the street with a bottle in hand. We had to hit the breaks suddenly, as we didn't think he would stay in the street after seeing the car for so long. After we stopped, he walks to our car, taps on the window with the bottle, chuckles a bit, then goes along his merry way.

I'd say that was a bit strange.

Well, I just got back from a mission trip in Belize, and there were tons of cool things to see there. But I think that the weirdest thing I saw was two dogs... Yeah, never want to see that again.

I was actually walking back to school to get my bike (I can walk or bike and I forgot that I biked. :animeblus )

But anyways,on the way back to school to get my bike I saw the quietest kid in my school mowing an old ladies lawn. But he wasn't very quiet. He was singing at the top of his lungs, and when I came past the hedges and he saw me, he was quite red. But when I got to the corner he started singing again! I could hear him about 100 feet away. I was...interesting.

One my way home (San Francisco area) from San Diego, I saw a crossing sign on the highway depicting a family of 3 running hand-in-hand. It ain't in my DMV handbook, either.

I stand by the theory that it's a "immigrant crossing over border" sign. And if you find what I said offensive, then you probably haven't seen the sign.

This did not happen to me: but on driving to a dance, my friend saw a pigeon being hit by a car... only to be hit by another. I do not mean to sound rude, but that is rather unusual I would think.
The other day I was walking to a friends quite late, and we passed some drunks in a dark alleyway who shouted in our ears as we walked past. And then another (who was urinating up against the wall) told us to stop scraping... That just about sums up my village really.

I've seen that sign. It's around the Camp Penelton area, right?

Hm. The weirdest thing I have ever seen on my way home from school would be a hearse at the carwash. Now, it wasn't a hearse for a funeral home or anything. It was someone's private hearse. It had a bunch of fake bones on the dashboard and a plastic bat hanging from the rearview mirror.

I was lucky and I had a disposable camera, so I took a picture of it. I still need to get those pictures developed though... Heh.

WAGH! So cool! T_T I want one so bad~

Weirdest thing I think I've ever seen was... (tagged cause it's sorta violent?)
...some sort of animal O_o it had been hit a little while before I drove by, I guess... but it was dragging the top portion of it's body across the road. I was like O_O It was sorta gross and cool at the same time ^^; the thing was movinv pretty fast too XD;;;
There was also this time I saw wild turkies. I'd never seen them before... my brother was driving and there was like a whole ton of them near the road. I was like "WTF, what are those?" and he was like ".....turkies, you moron." XD; I tried to get him to hit one to see what would happen *laughs* But he wouldn't ^^; (that would've been mean anyway, of course)

(both things happened on the way home from school)

On my way home from a trip to Las Vegas, it suddenly began to snow. Not just a light snow storm, either; the stuff was coming down strong. The flurry lasted about a half hour or so... maybe a little less. It made our windshield tough to see through lol. That's weird, right? As far as I know, snow isn't a very common occurance in deserts. :whoops:

On the way home from the beach, we were passing by farmland, and out the window I saw a bull riding a cow, well, you know what I mean.

The weird part was that all the other cows were standing in a circle around them and watching..... as thought they're waiting their turn.

I forgot about this one, cause it happened around Christmas time:

I was walking home from a friend of mine's house, and then it started to SNOW

The surprising part is that I live in Sugar Land, Texas, and it snowed enough to have a snowball fight. I was so happy because I hadn't seen snow fall in front of me for over ten years...:)

Ahhhh....memories...

I've seen a lot of weird/odd things...for example, the Hoeflinger Funeral Home that I saw on the way home from our class trip. That killed me with a mental image of a 'Hoeflinger'.

Although one that stands out in my mind was seeing a Yu-Gi-Oh cosplayer in the ghetto of Detriot. It was so random and weird, there was no conventions or anything like that. He was just walking down the sidewalk in the ghetto (and yes I mean ghetto).

I need to carry a camera around just in case...

Hm, not so much weird, but irritating and disappointing. A group of 7 seven year olds starting there rounds by thrwoing bricks through windows, smoking, and drinking bottles of AfterShock.

What's the world coming to?

And, maybe the drunk guy making out with a pole...

I'm in the same boat as you.
My friends and I were coming home from a midnight showing of The Goonies, and we were heading up a pretty major street. We just passed a whole bunch of bars, and then my friend suddenly slams on the brakes, lifts up his emergancy brake, and we go fishtailing into the other side of the street. We come to a stop and he gets out of the car. We follow suit and get out. There's a man passed out right in the middle of the street. The friend that was driving was pissed. But my other friend and I dragged the drunk guy to the sidewalk and propped him up against a building.

Okay Sean, you totally stole my wierdest moment lol. Except he was a bum. And except he wasn't making out with the pole, he was trying to "frisk" it.

I've had a similar situation as well. I was on a field trip when I was in the 4th grade and we went on a bus. The teacher told us to look out the window and look at the pretty horses, just as we were passing by, we saw one of the horses mounting the other and the teacher got dead quite and some of the kids stood speachless. Some went "ewww" and there was one kid in the back that said "I don't get it".

On the way back from vacation once, I saw a navy blue truck in the Drive-thru line at a McDonald's. In the truck's bed, a life-size plastic black cow was strapped there. A woman with red hair(yeah, I've got photographic memory sometimes, but my short term memory sucks) was driving the truck. What the heck was she doing with a black, plastic cow?? :animestun

HAH! That made me laugh.

Okay, I wasn't going home, but I was going to camp. Near two retention ponds, there were two muscovie ducks lying in the road. Dead. Squished. My mom thought it was one, torn in half. Eeeew.

And at camp, I found out that the boy cast as the Baker in Into the Woods jr. accidentally killed the muscovies. That crazy baker!! I wonder what he was doing, driving...?

Well, this was a funny yet random thing I saw---

My parents are divorced, and live over 700 miles apart, so we always take the highway to get from one parent to the other when visiting. Well, after visiting my dad for two weeks, we were on the highway to go home, when we see that some dark green painted limo is alongside us, and someone has their head sticking out of the sunroof, and-for reasons beyond my realm of understanding-a cat is clinging to his head. I dunno who the heck he was, but we all started laughing hysterically when we all saw that.
