gaarasgirl90
I don't know if this was ever a thread, granted i havent been on in a few months but anyway... Have you noticed certain things your favorite characters have in common? I for one seem to notice that they all have the (semi) same hair color. All three have red/orange hair. (I'm a brunette by the way.) 1. Kyo Sohma-Fruits Basket 2. Ichigo Kurosaki-Bleach 3. Gaara-Naruto Here's another hair color scenario of my best friend. This time white/grey hair. 1. Kakashi Hatake-Naruto 2. Dilandau Albato-Escaflowne 3. InuYasha-InuYasha(Duh) 4. Sesshomaru-InuYasha 5. Nagisa Kaoru-Evangelion
Kenji
Here's one that really doesn't involve hair but actual characteristcs and actions of the characters along with the plot of the two animes. Comparison of Flame of Recca and Yu Yu Hakusho. Koganei and Hiei are similar in that they both are small and are most likely the fastest out of everyone. Domon and Kuwabara are similar in that they rely on their brute strength and are very much prideful. Mikagami and Kurama are similar in that the long hair that makes them look like a girl and that during fights they are the most calm and show the least emotion. Recca and Yusuke are similar in that they both gradually grow stronger through a tournament and that they both act like the best out of everyone. Yanagi and Yukina both have healing powers and are both rescued at some point in the anime. Even the plots are similar where first the main girl gets kidnapped and the people go and fight to rescue her. Then they end up having to participate in a tournament. THough Flame of Recca only has 42 episodes and Yu Yu Hakusho has 112, they are both really similar and were even made in the same year. Freaky huh. Guest Sesshomarusbabe
Seriously, here are some comparisons. Sesshomaru and Hiei, both don't talk often and are virtually emotionless. Yusuke and Inuyahsa both seem to be getting caught with the wrong person by the wrong person...*cough kikyo and Botan cough*And Shigure and Miroku...both are perverts with black hair and both seem to..."live"(if that's wat miroku does) with innocent gurlz!Even if Miroku is a tad bit more refined...I mean he doesn't just blurt out what he has done in the past to other gurlz... Bloodseeker
With the female characters, I almost always prefer the spunky and/or confident one over the soft-spoken and/or subdued one. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Asuka > Rei .hack//SIGN: Mimiru > Subaru RahXehon: Megumi > Quon Outlaw Star: Aisha > Melfina Ai Yori Aoshi: Tina > Aoi I can only think of one exception, I prefer Ayeka over Ryoko for some unexplainable reason. Maybe its the purple hair and red eyes? I dunno. My top favorite male characters almost always have an intense attitude. Berserk: Guts Fullmetal Alchemist: Roy Yu Yu Hakusho: Hiei Gungrave: Brandon There are some exceptions to this one, including Onizuka and Wolfwood, but usually... IceRose
The comparisons that I usually see are between Sasame from Leaf Knight and Yue from Sakura Card Captors, they are both quiet and have a sad smile, they both protect the people they love with their lives. Kyo Sohma and Inuyasha, they both loose their tempers easily but protect their loves one. Tonrhu Honda and Momiji Fujimia from Blue Seed, they are caring, clumsy and kind. Kaede from Blue Seed and Kikyo from Inuyasha, they are both cold and will stop at nothing to get what they want. All the people who I just compared are not just compared by the way they act but look at their pictures and they have the same expressions and way of walking and talking. Fyxe
Ehem, the reasons for these comparisons are... With the whole hair color thing... yes, a lot of anime characters have the same hair color. And a lot of people in the real world have the same hair color. Anime creators have different tastes, and yet, a lot of them like certian looks... and that look can be very common. Plus, there are only so many colors. And with the way characters act... normally animes have the typical stereotypes. The quiet person; the pessimistic person; the happy-go-lucky optimistic person; the clueless blonde/ditz; the short tempered/blunt person; the joker; the dark person... etc. Just all your normal stereotypes. There will normally be a lot of those in an anime, no matter whom the writter is, no matter where they are from... and so on. The question was wether or not you noticed certain comparisons between anime characters you like/or dislike by the way some people are going.
