Well, I have a dog named Pippin. He used to have a brother named Merry but Merry was mean and kept picking on him so Merry had to go...We aren't sure what blood runs through that mutt's veins because his mother was a stray who happened to have her puppies under our shed...So it goes. My sister and I got to keep one each and the others we gave to a pet store. They were so cute. Anywho, it would be no good trying to describe him so I'm just going to put up a picture instead.

We think he has some beagle in him and we know that his daddy was a black Lab, but apparently that didn't affect his outward appearance. He looks just like his mum. He is about a year old now and still doesn't know how to sit properly...shows how smart he is. But he is very loyal and a excellent watch dog. I love him.

P.S. I took that picture in our backyard, that is my brush he is chewing on. :animeswea

I recently moved in with my dad, who has no pets, but before I did, I had a dog. His name's Buster, and he's a black lab / collie mix. Why we named him Buster, though, is beyond me. Guess we just liked the name. He was a present given to me for my tenth birthday nearly four years ago, but when I moved, he stayed behind with my mom, stepdad, and brothers.
As for any funny stories...well, I have two to share.
First off, Buster has a nickname, and we call him "The Curtain Dog". Most people don't know why, but the reason is that, well...in the living room of my old house, we have really long curtains that reach to the floor. Buster has a habit of sleeping behind the curtains, and when he wakes up, he tries to poke his head out from under them, but ends up with the curtain covering his eyes, which is a really funny sight.
Then, we also learned that he's a better mouser than some cats.
During winter, we got a mouse in our home, but our cat we had at the time didn't bother trying to catch it. One day when we got back from visiting a friend's house, we actually saw that Buster was in the kitchen, growling, for some reason. We went in and saw that the mouse was out, in the middle of the floor, and it kept pawing at him, which made Buster keep batting his paw back at the little guy. This went on for about ten minutes, until finally Patches (she was the cat we owned at the time, but she ran away a week after this happened) comes in and scares it away. A week later, just before Patches had run away, Buster was the one to catch it, not her.

I have two cats. A adult black cat named Winston, and a smaller Calico long hair called Mitsy. Winston came with the house when we moved in, but at first she didn't like us. Later, the neighbors down the street had a litter. So we adopted one, and that was that. Mitsy used to only let me pick her up, pet her, and she would spend each night with me. She looked up to Winston, but Winston didn't like her. Later on, Winston got used to us and Mitsy, and Mitsy lets other people pet her and pick her up. But Winston is getting old. As for Mitsy, she's still running around, and such. But mom dosn't like her outside, because she eats grass. She does that to help with hairballs, because she's a longhair, and they get hairballs sometimes.
