Red Alert! Red Alert! Target has breached Hallway 3974, I repeat, Target has breached Hallway 3974. Evacuate to higher terminals now, emergency lockdown in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Lockdown Commencing.

?

Lockdown complete, Target trapped. Releasing gas into Hallways 3966-3989.

?Will that hold the bastard? Or are we going down like the other 15 ships??

No-one was brave enough to answer, so the commander turned back around, space greeting him like the cold of the icy mountain tops of Hymanaic 9. A breath of fresh air was all the commander needed, but out in the remote islands near Tokyo, all you had was the recycled air that you breathed in and in again.

Red Alert! Red Alert! Target was unaffected by the gas canisters, Target is breaking through emergency lockdown doors.

?********! ******* ********! Send in a squadron to take that piece of **** to the dump. Now!?

?Yes Commander, a squad will be prepared and sent down momentarily.?

?I said now! Do it now!? the commander roared at the AC Unit who scuttled away telling his comrades to get ready for battle down on the lower decks.

The commander rested on a seat, the room around him was a dazzling white, with many seats surrounding the outer walls, helmets hanging down from the ceiling with complicated wires surrounding them. After a few minutes the commander heard the noise of a dozen troops heading his way.

?Set the uplink to our ship, we?ll take those bastards on.?

Uplink connected, awaiting communicants.

?Right soldiers, look after yourself when you?re in there, but remember, this virus is the worst opponent we?ve come across, and you may have a very difficult time destroying him, so I?m assigning Asceon to your group, you?ll meet him in there, where you will have a more thorough briefing on the situation. Again, good luck soldiers, and take down that ***** once and for all!?

The soldiers nodded and sat down on the chairs lining the outer walls, the helmets lowered down and millions of wires came from the wall and ground connecting to several nerves, the helmet covered the soldiers heads completely and the soldiers were strapped fully into place. They were entering cyber space, where anything could happen if you had help from the outside.

---

Asceon: Welcome Soldiers, our target is running the full of the bottom hallways, we?ve got intelligence that he?s attempting to break the blast doors to this section. We cannot allow this, the monster can?t bring down another ship!

Soldier Unit #279: Is it just us going down sir, or do we have more back-up?

Asceon: I was hoping some-one would say that, soldiers, I want you to meet our specialists. The best of the best, up-linked from all across the real globe.

The war is just beginning?

CHAPTER 1: Attack on the Control Ship

Characters: All*
Scenario: This chapter will be focused on the Target, a virus which has taken down many of the other ships in the area. The military are refusing to give any more help at the present time. It is up to the specialists and the group of new uplinks to solve the matter and make sure the Target is destroyed.
Next Post: Should contain the group setting out, and perhaps some small talk going on in the background. They should be making there way to the Main Shaft Elevator.

*Any character can post at any point during this chapter, this will be the same for most chapters unless there has been a private one arranged.

And finally, good luck and write well.

 • 2 weeks later...
Nova yawned as he made his way from his quarters down the hall. Figures they'd wake me up in the middle of resting to deal with something... He thought as he stretched his back out. Where the hell is everyone else anyway? He looked around, the hall seeming extremely empty. "Dammit don't tell me I'm late!!" Nova started to run down the hallway. He slid to a stop as he reached the end of the hallway, even though the wall had stopped him.

He rubbed his face in pain as he continued running down the hallway. That'll leave a mark... Nova came to a halt as he saw no one at the elevator but also saw that it was still on their floor. "I guess no one got here yet." He said as he leaned against the wall. I guess I'll just wait for them to show up. He slumped down to the floor with his head leaned back against the wall.

"Nova wake up...it's rude to greet your peers on the floor." A voice said.

"Huh?" Nova looked up and got to his feet. "Oh it's you...damn smartass." He grinned as he saluted.

OOC: That can be anyone...doesn't matter who. And sorry for the short post Sean.

Sora sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes sleepily. She yawned widely and threw the covers off herself, sliding out of the warmth from her bed. She changed into her usual clothes and cleaned herself up, washing her face free of sleep and brushing her hair. Sora looked herself over quickly and left her room, heading toward the main elevator.

She stretched herself as she walked through the halls, no doubt some of the others would also be tumbling out of bed. As Sora moved through the halls quietly, she could see someone with spiky blonde hair sitting in the elevator, even though it was on the otherside of the long walkway. She smirked and went over.

"Nova, wake up..It's rude to greet your peers on the floor." she told him.

Nova looked up at her, "Oh, it's you...Damn smartass." he grinned and saluted mockingly.

Sora smirked and got in beside him, leaning against the metal wall behind them. The two of them talked, yawning sometimes, still tired from waking up. Sora mainly kept her gaze directed at the walkway, seeing if the others were coming.

Another morning and that damned virus still hasn't been brought down. The military won't provide anymore assistance, so it's up to us specialists to take care of this mess. It may be more than we can handle...but we'll find out soon enough. I had another sleepless night worrying about this virus...

Requius closed his journal and stood up. He was fully dressed, had already showered, and was ready to fight the target. He walked out of his room, grabbing a pair of high-tech goggles and slapping them onto his head. He walked for a short disctance before reaching the Main Shaft Elevator. He wasn't paying attention, and almost tripped over Nova's feet.

"Shit!" Requius fought to regain balance, then loked at Nova and Sora, who had jumped up to salute him. He saluted back and then crossed his arms over his chest.

"Just what are you two doing, sitting inside of the elevator? And where is everyone else?" They plopped down again, and Nova adressed Requius.

"We're waiting for everyone else, and we're both to tired to stand." Requius sighed and leaned against the wall, putting his right leg up. I hope everyone get's here soon...That virus won't wait for us to all roll out of bed...

?It?s a tad too early in the mission to lounge around,? drawled a voice from down the corridor. A blue haired woman leaned against the elevator doors and gave the company a mock salute. ??Lieutenant.?

?Mornin?, miss,? Nova replied. He raised two fingers to his forehead and returned her salute. Sora and Requius followed suit, in a more proper way. ?How?s that gunshot wound of yours??

?Still smarting, thank you very much. You gotta be more careful with your Magnum, Sniper.? Opera adjusted the valve on her left glove and proceeded to punch out numbers on the elevator panel.

?It?s about time,? Sora sighed. ?I was starting to think you got lost in this tin can.? The pretty brunette gave Nova a soft kick on the side then walked up to the elevator doors.

?What, we're leaving the others behind??

Requius pushed himself off the wall and straightened his uniform. ?They can take care of themselves.? With an outstretched arm, he made an offer to pull his comrade up. Pretty soon, the four of them were looking up at the blinking numbers above the doors. ?Besides,? he continued as the doors opened, ?Asceon?ll give us hell if we?re late. ?Said it wouldn?t impress the new uplinks.?

?New uplinks, huh??
Opera nodded. ?Yep, this mission must be easy to clinch. The party?s looking pretty green.?
A few more numbers into the interior console set the elevator moving. Spacious as the lift was, they had to shuffle around the gear scattered on the floor. Numbers blinked overhead as the company got ready to meet Asceon.

OOC: I hope I got everything right... PM me if you want something about your character changed.
IC:

Santus readjusted his shirt as he walked out into the hallway, only to see Requius and the rest of his group proceeding up the lift without him. Immediately, he questioned why they were leaving behind their other 1st Lieutenant, and why Requius was not telling them to wait for him.

"Halt immediately," Sanctus snapped at them. The lift stopped, everyone looking down with an expression of slight shock, disbelief, and finally, an awkward silence fell upon them. "Explain yourselves. Why are you leaving a first lieutenant behind?"

"Very sorry, Sanctus; I thought you had already left." Requius' explanation was suitable, but Sanctus remained questioning.

"Is that so? It's protocol to be sure of these things, Requius. For now, I will overlook this, just bring back down the lift, thanks."

The metallic cage moved back down its track, and the gates opened up. Sanctus realized how cluttered the lift was, but found a way to squeeze himself into it, and effectively shut the doors. Boxes of gear lay about, probably holding assorted calibur rounds, light ordinance, or replacement parts for computers. But the gear paled in comparison to Kera, his stunningly beautiful co-worker. He had harbored a secret soft spot for her, but dared not make it known that a first lieutenant was soft.

"When we meet Asceon, give him your best salute. Nothing sloppy; just crisp and firm. Address him formally, a bit more formally than you treat Requius and I." Requius briefly grinned at truth to statement, and proceeded to add in his own two cents.

"Sanctus is right. Not only should your salutes be crisp, but your mission execution as well. Nothing other than the best -- We're the elite!" The pep-talk was cut short by the lift halting, and the doors swinging open to reveal a waiting Asceon.

"Here we are, greetings to you all!" Asceon nodded towards the specialists.

"As I said before recruits, these are the best of the best, they're not here to mess around, this is cyber-terrorism warfare, and we plan to win it."

The recruits saluted towards Asceon. "Now, Requis, I understand that the situation is reaching critical?"

"Asceon sir, the virus is spreading through the pipes, we've tried frying him and freezing him, he just keeps moving, the gas doesn't effect him in the slightest."

Asceon nodded slightly, "Thank you Requis, now people, we shall move towards the Main Shaft Elevator immediatly, the lockdown will be put down to Orange to let us through, but not allowing access to the terminal and engine area's."

"Nova, I wish for you to set up the emergency jack-outs just in case we need a quick escape, but that won't be necessary will it lieutenant?"

Nova nodded slightly, "Do we have any clue how to destroy it, sir?"

Asceon replied, "We're going to try an ion bombardment, for those who are not equipped with an ion based weapon, shoot with as much force as you can, attack with eveything you do have."

"Those who need to re-read or go over what we have to do, it is being uploaded into your main server HUB." said Nova when several recruits looked bewildered.

"Let's head out men, to the Main Shaft Elevator, from there we shall find out what the virus' weakness really is." Asceon finished.

As the team moved down the hall for the main elevator shaft, Nova pulled a small object from his pocket and pressed a button as he held it in front of him. It projected a virtual computer screen, on which Nova began to type. He mumbled to himself what he was doing as he did it. Still nothing... He thought to himself as he continued to analyze the virus. "I can't get a single weakness from what we've tried already."

Sora glanced over, "Why don't you try something we haven't?" She looked forward to the elevator. "That might be your best bet."

Nova nodded, feeling foolish for not thinking of that himself. He began typing quickly, coming across the conclusion that the ion weapons would be their best bet. Figures it's the one type of weapon I hardly use, Nova thought, laughing to himself. "This thing has no apparent weakness that I can just find on this computer...it has to be found out in the field."

Asceon nodded, "Alright, Nova. We'll go with the ion bombardment and worry about its weakness later."

"Yes sir." Nova said as he continued typing in his computer, opening the emergency jack-out program. I hope these new recruits can handle a battle like this....I don't want to see any casualties.....
