SilentSecurity
Because there is a growing craze for anime does it mean there are going to be more perverts out there making hentai for good animes. Just the other day I was surfing the web for inuyasha pics and I came across a ton of hentai. If some kid's parent sees that then they could forbid them from anime thinking it's some new porn craze. Does anyone feel the same way. ~Rod~
Shinichi Kudou
well...theres already alot of hentai for almost every single anime thats been released. So, in that way, more anime probably would mean more hentai. Which sucks... but, what can you do? And, on the topic of parents and Hentai. My friends mom forbid them from watching SailorMoon, because when she was looking it up she found a whole bunch of SailorMoon hentai, and though that was basically what the real SailorMoon was. ...eventually though she found out otherwise... but for awhile there...eeh ....x_x
Solo Tremaine
I don't think demand for hentai ever actually increases, but the number of different characters to portray it does, so it probably expands at the same rate as the growth of anime itself. But at the same time you get a lot of hentai which isn't from any series in particular- it's just generic characters in hentai situations. So... yeah.
dposse
I think its true that as the demand for anime increases, so does the demand for hentai. But its the parents responsiblity to know the difference between anime and hentai. Anime has fanservice, but it never goes as far as Hentai does. Parents today need to sit down with their children and say "This is alright, this is not". Until that happens, stories like yours will become more and more common. magikpiggy
Hmmm. in most cases yes the demand for hentai will increase with the new coming animes :animenose ,seeng that alot of hentai depends on an anime so they can make parodies, but not to worry theres no chane of it taking over, whats hentai without the original anime...wait that didnt come out right did it...um yah, i do suggest though that people looking for wallpapers or images of any certain anime often look for shrines, for instance if you want lets say an Ed(FMA) wallpaper then under any search engine type in Ed FMA Shrine or somthing like that, and often they have links to other good sights as well. Darker Alucard
Definitly hentai is considered anime. so if the demand for hentai increased so could anime's demand increase. and the reverse happens too. some Anime Drawer could draw and anime with equal rtios of story/Hentai. that would be a good anime that's for sure. When i was searching for my little brother son (His favourite is Digimon) and i searched it on Google (With the filter On!) and there were some Hentai and it scared the death out of me, Luckily i had to close the window very fast (Cuz my brother's Son was with me) And that was something i won't forget..Boy,thank god he didn't see anything :animesigh Cheers, Pumpkin Head
Solo Tremaine
The problem is, as long as the internet retains its freedom of speech and expression and the companies don't bother trying to enforce copyright infringement laws onto the artists who draw hentai doujin, it's always going to be there (along with all the hideous lemons that plague fanfiction sites). If it wasn't allowed on the internet at all there'd be little to no problem with it- the hentai would remain in its own little subsection of the anime/manga shelves where they needn't offend anyone unless they're actually bought by mistake.
SilentSecurity
That's another problem, I was in a DVD/CD store the other day and the Anime DVDs we're right next to the Hentai. If people just saw the Hentai that can turn potential customers into people who think Anime is for perverts. ~Rod~
Darker Alucard
What you are all saying is true but let's not completly outrage hentai. Hentai along the internet is DANGEROUS for kids, because the internet holds the liberty to every single kind of image\Text. But Hellsing for example started out as an Hentai manga. you see TV series and Dvds have warningds on wheter the anime has hentai content or no. but in the internet it rarely happens. now that's outrageous. Rick Hunter
I'll put this into the most simple terms possible. For every anime that is made or currently in production. There is a hentai made during that same time. Sadly as much as I dislike hentai and wish it wasn't part of the anime genre it is. And as long as anime is being made so will hentai. Based upon the fact that the japanese people are extremely open in terms of sexuality. And also that hentai sadly flourishes in business. As far as parents go I can see how certain parents forbide their kids to see anime because of this. It's horrible...that if you go searching for pics or clips of your favorite anime characters you may run into hentai or doujinshi's on the net. But there's not much you can really do. Hentai is just as mainstream as the rest of the anime world in Japan and American. Do I like hentai? Answer to that is no. Do I watch hentai? Answer to that is no unless I stupidly get tricked by the title cover. Sometimes there really sneaking in hiding it from the cover of certain titles. But I'm probably the most Anti-Hentai fan you'll find out there....ugh I hate it!
Guest kid41212003
type "anime" in google and they give u 100wedsites, 80percents is hentai sites OMG! :animenose and like 80percents site i visited got link into hentai sites
foolycooly6363
No matter how much we hate it we're going to have to deal with it because there are sick perverts out there who enjoy seeing kenshin
I did this so it looks like i'm typing something disgusting but i'm not hehehe
. Anyway if video stores have a hentai next to anime talk to a manager and ask them to move it to a different location. There's nothing you can do when it comes to the internet but set your internet preferences so it filters out most of the hentai, that's all you can do. ChemAngel
I've been fortunate enought that stores like "best buy" have kept their hentai DVD away from their anime section (i honestly have never seen their "dirty" section so I don't even know if they have one) One of the problems I get with hentai is when looking for anime pictures to use for my wallpapers. Unfortunately, you put a series name and you are always guarenteed a picture or two that make you either disgusted or turn your head sideways in confusion wondering what that is....and whether or not you really want to know. i suppose with the good you get the bad. Who knows, we might one day see an hentai section on the playboy channel..... :animeblus
Meggido
I can see that everyone seems to be completely anti-hentai. Me, well I'm indifferent. I don't really care that there is hentai out there. I just love anime. I can understand that parents may have a problem with there kids seeing hentai but if their kids and they ever saw the original Japanese episodes of some of the "kiddie" shows they would probably be shocked. I have a friend who has the subbed version of Cardcaptor Sakura who says that the show has themes of incest in it. I know the dubbed version, Cardcaptors, removes this and is toned down sufficiently for younger audiences. Sailormoon is another example which had gay and lesbian themes in the original series but this was removed, with characters sexes being changed. I remember that Australia never saw the whole series, and so Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune never appeared and so avoiding the lesbian relationship. In Australia though the only stores that stock hentai are actually adult only stores. You won't see it in your ordinary video store. Also in the point made by ChemAngel about Hentai on the playboy channel, I remember reading a while back in a videogame magazine I subscribe to that Playboy was actually gonna release an issue where they showed female characters from videogames completely nude.
