Halo movie?

I just read something [url]http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/halo3/news_6127307.html[/url] that said they'd be making a Halo movie, I've heard rumors but now i see it in print. Are my eyes deceiving me.

Yeah, Universal and Fox are teaming up for this one. I still think it was weird that they had a guy in a Master Chief costume deliver the script, but it got through, so I guess it didn't matter.

Since Bungie put together a big book about what the movie people can and can't do with the movie (and they've all threatened to quit if the code is broken), this may prove to be one of the few faithful game-to-movie adaptations. Of course, that doesn't automatically mean that it's going to be good. It's one thing to work with an immersive concept of a world, and an entirely different one to work with a concept of a story. Not to say that Halo doesn't have a story.. I just think that it wouldn't be right for them to just follow the games closely, and that they would need to focus on something else.

I don't think a lot of the casting will be an issue. Master Chief always wears his helmet, so they can get any random stunt guy to do it and overdub his voice with the official voice actor.. Cortana could still be computer-generated, I guess. But who said that it was 100% confirmed as live action? For all we know, it could all be CGI.

As indifferent as I am toward Halo, I am interested in seeing how they're going to do this movie.

I can't say that I am proud about this, Game based movies have ahabit of being, well, crap and this movie is what I think will also be crap, although this is because I am not fond of Halo. It won't stop it from being a Box Office smash because of the fact that it is Halo.

Do you think they'll get kids or something to play the grunts, or will that all be done with computer animation. i still don't see how they're going to pull off some of the Weapons and vehicles.

In my Opinion there going to give this movie lots of hype with teasers and little snip its of the movie to get the fans moving and it'll probly be bad like most other Movies from games. But if they get the Hype and make a decent movie then i'll be very surprised. As for master Chief why not just use the regular thats his voice in game on movie The fans will feel better about hearing the same voice. Overall this movie is gunna make big on opening Night as for the rest of the week we have to see
