Annie
Oh, before I begin, I'd like to let everyone know that the story begins in New York City. Have fun! And, as always, have at it.

Year 2073, New York City, New York
I-I?m so cold. Where am I..? How did I get here, wherever ?here? is? The smell of ether lingered in the air as it were oil floating atop water. Faint sounds of clattering and distant voices echo dully. His eyes began to twitch, and finally slowly open into narrow slits. However, the searing light from the overhead lamp convinced him to clamp his eyelids shut fiercely. "Doctor! I am seeing brain activity! I think this could actually work!" an overly-excited voice danced over the sterile atmosphere; almost like Dr. Frankenstein?s impish assistant. A drilling sound, hydraulics depressurizing followed a series of scatters and clanking forced him to try to re-open his eyes again. Only now, he was more aware of what awaited his sensitive sight and brought a shaky hand to his face. "Good, now be careful. He's still in critical condition and unpredictable,? a darker and more sinister voice slithered forth. "Yes sir,? the youthful, anxious voice grew louder before he felt a pair of almost feminine hands grasp at his shoulders and chest. "Mr. Bailey, do you know what we have done? Can you imagine the possibilities, the power we now possess?!" a cold and empty chuckle stumbled. "Look, Doctor! He's waking up!" Eyes slowly flickered open, focusing and absorbing his odd surroundings. His hands ventured over the surface he was laying upon; flawlessly smooth and cool. Colors and figures run together. He shook his head lightly, sweat beading down his naked body. Finally, the figures separated themselves from abstract shapes. "Who are you?! What is this place?! What am I doing here?!" he fell off of the steel table, landing with a thud and an odd clank on the sterile, linoleum floor. "Careful," the man who appeared to be the doctor approached, reaching out. "Don't touch me!" crawling backwards and stumbling over a lab cart, he landed on his back, staring up at a lazy ceiling fan. He lay silently, and gritted his teeth as discomfort laced through his spine and ribs. A great deal of pressure, not a pressure one would apply for a massage, but that of a dull blade pressing deep into the tender flesh; desperately trying to pierce through. He managed a groan, and a slight lift of his body. Head still reeling, he looks up at the ceiling to find that it wasn?t as cleanly-looking as the rest of the room. It was a dropped ceiling, meaning the material used was merely a cardboard mix and it was extremely flaky. Disgusting yellow and rust-colored stains blotched the cheap tiles; he assumed they had a roof problem, and whenever a storm moved through, it?s stormed in this room. During his examination, a fluttering shadow caught his attention; a black feather fluttered and spun carelessly, ending its journey on his nose. He plucked the feather from his face and studied it. A feather? Where did it come from? "What is this?" he asked aloud. The two scientists looked at each other, then at him. They pointed towards the broken mirror. He rose to his feet only to collapse to his knees as if he were being weighted down with an anchor. Again he stood, slowly this time and fully balanced. Shards of glass pricked at his feet, yet he did not flinch. Edging himself in front of the distorted mirror, a sudden punch of detest and confusion struck his distraught body and mind. He did not see himself, only a stranger. Hair darker than the midnights with no moon, pale but flawless skin, and two-toned eyes. His left was ice blue; his right was black. He traced a crescent moon-shaped scar over his left eye and cheek. However, these slight changes proved to be petty with what he was about to see. Wings. Cybonic, stainless-steel and titanium, mechanical wings. Their metallic skeleton peeked through patches of molting feathers and shredded flesh. He jumped back, insane with rage and confusion. "What's going on here?!" he spun on the two scientists. "All in good time, Azrael, Arc Angel of Death," a maniacal chuckle and a glimmer of a madman's glasses, "...all in good time..." ?Yo, Az? You awake in there?? a bony knuckle tapped him on the forehead. ?Oh, what were we doing again?? Azrael shook his head and rubbed his face. They had been sitting on top of the good ol? Dr. Allington?s new office building. It was a nice décor, of stone gargoyles and Gothic arches. Azrael?s favorite spot to perch was on top of the head of the gargoyle that looked over the entire span of New York City. This is where he?d come to get away from the overly-curious press and reporters. Ever since that day, Azrael has never been able to go into public; it was sheer coincidence that he ran into Drew Gregeson. ?You were daydreamin? again, weren?t you?? Drew jumped off of his cornerstone and leaned against it, ?God damnit, Az. How are you going to get back to Hell if you stay in La-La Land?? Drew dug an index finger into the depths of his loud mouth to pluck out the gum he was viciously chewing. He studied it a bit, looking for whatever his mind told him to look for. Azrael watched his companion with the utmost interest. Drew always had a way to entertain the dark angel; whether it be his dry jokes, or disgusting obsession with sex. ?What are you doing, Drew?? Azrael stretched and folded his arms across his chest. ?Looking for that popcorn kernel that I couldn?t get out earlier,? he shrugged, apparently giving up, and stuck the abused rubbery substance in the nostril of a smaller gargoyle. ?When did we eat popcorn?? ?Three days ago, ?member? That movie with the blonde chick who could bend backwards and look at you from between her legs? That was hot, by the way..? Drew rubbed lightly at his chin stubble. Azrael groaned and leapt down from his ?throne?, as Drew called it. The kid could not stop making witty remarks, usually about sex, in any situation. It was as if ?sex? were his second language, aside from the most-of-the-time jibberish he spoke. Sometimes, Azrael couldn?t follow what he had said. ?I suppose I fell asleep during that movie,? the angel chuckled and adjusted his overcoat. ?How could you fall asleep?! Az, I seriously think you?re gay.? ?How in all the universe could I be gay? Or have any interest in that sort of trash?? ?Trash, you say. You call a knock-out, double D, size three waist ?trash?? Especially, when she?s deliberately hosing herself down?? ?Not that it matters to something of my being, but I happen to think a woman who doesn?t know she?s sexy is much more of a ?turn on?. Not some fiend destroys her beautiful, God-given body with moral disrespect and shame,? coyly, Azrael waltzed past Drew, ?Now, I think we should go out on the streets. I am feeling a bit uneasy with staying in one spot.? ?You are so gay.? ?Drew, please get off of the subject and focus.? ?Yeah, yeah,? he slipped his tattered beanie cap over his head and followed Azrael, ?So, you think they?re here in the City?? ?I?m pretty sure.? ?Do you know who they?d be?? ?Their aura?s are faint, but I can tell there are three of them, and I can definitely peg one of them.? ?And that is??? ?Arc Angel Gabriel. His purity is sickening, I?ll never forget his soul. So pathetically sympathetic for every living human being. Nothin? personal, D,? he pulled on the door, forgetting his strength and pulling it off of its hinges. ?There you go again, Hercules,? Drew chuckled and walked into the stair case, ?And don?t worry about what you said. It?s impossible to offend me.? ?Of course,? Azrael fumbled to attempt putting the door back, but quickly gave up. ?So, if Gabriel?s here--? Drew started, digging in his pocket for another piece of gum he?d eventually maul and stick it to a car window. ?Metatron is here, too. They are very close friends, Gabriel and him. I remember, every meeting we had, those two showed up together and left together. They were inseparable, and obviously still are. But the third party, I--I can?t figure. It?s very innocent, but there?s something?..missing from the soul.? ?Well, we?ll just have to go find out for ourselves, eh?? ?Yeah.?
DeadSeraphim
They were everywhere. Their scent polluted the air, and their endless noise destroyed any chance of finding solitude. They were a plague - spreading quickly, destroying everything. They were humans. And Dead hated them so. Looking around, his preternatural eyes examined the aura of the humans in the crowd, reading their sins, judging their eligibility for God's love. None were worthy. All of them were tainted with hatred, or death, or envy. Not one of these advanced apes deserved God's preference. With a sigh he turned and retreated to the darkness of the alleyway from which he'd emerged, trying hard to keep himself from lashing out and destroying every one of them. It was hard enough imitating them - he'd had to retract his horns and wings, and decrease his physical girth many times - but the added stress of not destroying the path of each one he crossed was only serving to further crack a deranged mind. 'Are you okay man?' The lonely, ragged voice snapped Dead out of his thoughts. Looking around he saw the source of the voice - an old, weathered man, in faded and torn clothes slumped against the wall, a tired box filled with feeble possessions next to him. His aura was dark and tainted but had the unmistakable feel of one who believed himself to be in God's good graces. Dead laughed. He was not. 'I am fine, sinner,' he said finally. 'I can't promise the same for your err... 'fine' self, however.' The man slowly got to his feet and balled his fists. 'What are you sayin' man? You sayin' I'm a sinner?' Dead laughed again at the human's display of force and anger. This was so predictable of them - they never thought things through, always ruled by their petty emotions. 'That's exactly what I'm saying.' Moving faster than the human eye could see he rushed the man, his right hand gripping him by the throat and slamming him against the wall and his left hand doing the requisite hand movements to summon his mighty, Lucefiran blade. With a flash of flame, and a long haunted moan it appeared - and was quickly pressed against the man's throat. 'Do you repent, sinner?' Dead breathed. 'Do you reveal all your sins before his most Holy God?' The man choked out a feeble 'yes'. The Fallen Angel's face twisted into an evil grin. 'Too bad... your God can't save you today.' With a mighty roar Dead assumed his true form, the roar petering off into a maniacal laugh as wings tore from his back and his muscled bulked up and expanded. His eyes - formerly dark and brown - now burned with the unmistakable fire of hell, and the small perfect horns just above each emphasised this. 'Wh-what are you?' the man managed through Dead's choking grip. Dead grinned. 'You may have heard of me... but then again maybe not... I've had many names... not liked a lot... some were positively divine though, you should hear them sometime' He tightened his grip on the man's throat and the unmistakable sound of his larynx being crushed graced his ears. When the man coughed up blood it only confirmed it. 'Hmm... I have no idea what they're calling me in this day and age, though.' Piss ran down the man's legs now. 'Let's just say I'm mad and call it a day.' With utmost precision Dead sliced through the man's throat and threw up the body, catching it's wayward head before it hit the ground. Dropping his sword, he raised his left hand and faced it palm-first at the rapidly descending body - and unleashed a fireball of massive proportions on it. The explosion lit up the night sky, and charred bits of corpses rained down on Dead as the screams of people in the crowd outside filtered into the alley. He was chuckling as Belial's voice found it's way telepathically into his mind. 'Well played, Dead,' the angel said smoothly. 'But do you forget our purpose here?' 'I forget nothing,' Dead scowled. 'But it will not waste this visit to the mortal plane, Azrael or no.' Flexing his wings he flew up and out of the alley, soaring to the top of the nearest skyscrape and dropping the head into the crowds below (which prompted many more screams, much to Dead's delight). Before he'd even hit the roof he'd reverted to his human form, and began walking instantly toward the fire escape, his mind playing over one thought: 'Where art thou, Azrael?'
Orcus
"What path will today lead us on?" Light shone brilliantly through the window and into the apartment. And, sitting on the windowsill, legs dangling out, was Gabriel, smiling down at and watching the people of New York. Behind him, eating breakfast, was Metatron. They had both been awake all night, unable to sleep after their decent to Earth. Raphaelle had slept easily after their arrival. They met Johanna, their "guide" on Earth. She graciously accomodated an apartment for the Angels to stay at while they were searching for Azrael. Metatron adressed Gabriel. "I'm not sure, Brother. Hopefully are search for Azrael will be short, so we can bring him to God." Gabriel shrugged and spun around, jumping of of the window. He grabbed a chair and sat down, serving himself some food. Metatron and him were good friends, but did not see eye to eye on all matters. This subject was one "I'm not entirely sure I want to leave. I know that Azrael is our top priority...But I would like to be able to stay on Earth for as long as possible." Gabirel spoke dreamily. Metatron sighed and waved him off. He was tired of hearing abour Gabriel's obssession with Earth and it's creatures. He was slightly repulsed by them, having been one himself at a time. He knew what they were truly like. "The amount of time spent here is irrelevant. We are here to find Azrael. No more. And the sooner we leave, the sooner we can seperate ourselves from these sinners." Gabriel nodded, knowing Metatron was right. But he couldn't help but love his time one Earth. Sure humans were imperfect, and sometimes fell to temptations, it didn't matter t him. He loved it here. It was a reminder of God's work. Although...It's sometimes a reminder of Satan's treachery. He stood up and walked towards the hall, tilting his head back to speak to Metatron. "I'm going to awaken Raphaelle. I know she must be tired...Traveling to the mortal realm is no easy task. But I know she, even moreso then us, is anxious to find Azrael." He frowned slightly. He had never thought it right to erase Raphaelle's memory. She would always love Azrael, and not realize why. She'll never be the same... He walked to her room and knocked on the door. It swung open, and she was sitting there, writing. She looked up and quickly put her stuff away. She stood up and smiled at Gabriel. "Good morning, Gabriel. I trust you've rested well?" Though Raphaelle was smiling, her eyes looked sad, and he felt sympathy for her. She shouldn't have to live like this... Gabriel smiled and nodded. "Yes. Sorry to disturb you, but we've got to head out soon, and I wanted to make sure you had something to eat before we left." She nodded and walked towards the doorway. Gabriel gave her a hug as she walked up to him. "Are you okay, Raphaelle?" He let go of her and looked at her face. She held a look of sad confusion. He wished he could help her. But he wasn't allowed. "Yes...Well not...I'm not sure. There's something bothering me, and I don't know what it is. But please don't worry yourself over me." Gabriel nodded and walked with her to the kitchen. Metatron greeted Raphaelle and motioned to her spot. Gabriel walked away, grabbing a cd player and his shades. He gazed at the CD player inquisitively. Such odd music humans listen to... He threw in Crimson by Alkaline Trio and sat down on the couch. He reached to his side, searching for something. He found it, and raised it up. It was Aquacius Requiem's hilt. He carried around his blade like that, so as not to draw attention and to have it nearby for use. Metatron and Raphaelle stood up and walked towards the door. Gabriel stood up as well. "Seeing as we really don't know our way aroung town, I say we rendezvous with Johana." They walked out of the door and Metatron and Raphaelle began walking down the stairs of the apartment building. Gabriel locked the door, his mind troubled slightly. How long do you think you can hide, Azrael?
Lostcause
The fallen angel took form slowly. A skeletal structure formed right out of mid-air. It seemed like a skeleton of a gargoyle with it's nightmare like wings, than an angel. Organs materialized within the skeleton just as miraculously as the bones. As the skeleton uncurled from the fetal position it entered this world in, sinew slowly began to cover every inch of the angel's frame. Veins appeared, pulsating through the muscle fibers, creating a heartbeat. The moment the heart first beat, skin flowed down over the creature, turning it from a hideous lump of fibers, to a gorgeous woman floating in mid air. As she took in her first breathe, hair slowly grew from each follicle at an amazing rate. Simultaneously feathers sprouted from the wings on the back of the angelic creature. As the creature touched earth for the first time, a blinding light pierced through the empty warehouse, giving the creature a glowing white robe, and two black knives, each with three blades attached to them. Woe stumbled over to some crates, dropping her blades, and slamming against the hard wooden surface. "AGGHHHHH!!!!!" The scream shattered the glass windows surrounding the top of the room. Immediately Woe heard humans readying themselves to check the area. She knelt down, grabbed her blades, and returned to the shadows of the warehouse. Security stormed the room. The three large men walked around carefully, never letting a shadowed corner remain hidden. Soon, they found Woe between two boxes, with her head in her hands, crying. "This is patrol, we found the problem, send an ambulance, we have a woman. She might have been hurt when that explosion went off." The other two security guards slowly walked over to Woe helping her up. "Calm down. We're not here to hurt you. We're security. Don't be worried, we'll help you out." As the guards crept towards Woe, she looked up. The tears stopped. "See, it'll all be fine. Just calm down, and come with us. " The men graciously helped her up. With courtesy, they checked the ground where Woe was laying. They didn't want any of her belongings left if there were robbers. As the largest of the three men searched, he came across the blades Woe had received. "What the hell?!?!? HEY BOB, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS." As two of the security guards stared at the blades laying on the floor, Woe quickly learned what was about to happen. She hung herself from the security guard still kind enough to help her. "May the blood of the Lamb of God keep you from eternal suffering. " The moment the words reached the man's ears, his eyes enlarged. Swiftly, she spun his neck around, breaking it with ease. A tear followed the guards body to the ground. As the sound of the fall made it's way to the other guards' ears, they turned, only to be met by Woe's foot. She heard the impact of her feet on theirs skulls. It was a definite concussion for both victims, and a horrible ache in her foot. " Patrol, do you read me, the ambulance is on its way with a few police officers. Patrol? Do you copy? Over " No, not yet. Woe quickly knelt before all three of her victims. Lord, please, spare these three from the hell I have recieved. Let them live in your good graces, and await my return. In your name I do pray, Amen. Woe grabbed her blades, holding one in each hand. Looking up through the shattered windows, she knew the only way for her to escape. With her arms at her side, her wings flew from underneath her massive robes. Taking a deep breath, Woe flew up through the warehouse. Right as she was about to clear the window, a bullet came in contact with her blade, throwing her into a sudden spin. Luckily, there was a large enough gap for her to fit through without harm. As she soared up into the dark sky, Woe looked down. She saw a light emanating from the guard's arm. Lord, I ask for your forgiveness, yet my life I shall not throw away so easily for you. Woe looked around as she steadied herself in the air. She saw a massive figure fly through the air on wings of darkness. Lucifer's other minions. So I'm not alone in this. Flying towards the figure, Woe saw the creature drop something right before reaching a tall tower. It hurled itself down into the crowd far below. Screams shot out from the ground. Not paying any attention, Woe flew after her target, hoping to reach it before losing it to the night. As she neared the top of the tower, the creature seemed to decrease in size and girth. It's wings disappeared too. Such control. Has to be one of his higher-ups. I'm going to have to stay near this one. As the creature neared the stairwell leading to the ground, Woe quickly shouted towards it. "LUCIFER'S MINION, STAND STILL. " With a disgusted look the creature turned about. Seeing the white light emitted from the angel, its eyes widened. "Make no mistake, I am on your side oh dark one. These robes are of the past, yet they represent a hope for the future. " Woe landed on the roof. Flipping her hair out of her face, she began to introduce herself to her fellow fallen angel. "Ahem, I am Woe. Nice to meet you. " Bowing before the dark figure, Woe felt lower than ever. Bowing to a fallen angel, an action that never crossed Woe's mind until she had bowed before Lucifer in return for this mission, and acceptance into his elite core of minions. Never would Woe do such a thing, unless it meant she could possibly return to God's side. As she raised her head to the demon, their eyes met. Stunned by his beauty, Woe felt herself blush. "And to whom would I be talking, good sir??
KarmaOfChaos
She breathed in his strange scent, a mix of unearthly angel smells, a soft spice like cinnamon, lavender, and green tea, stirred with an psuedo human scent, something they called "cologne" which Johana had left them, among other things called "shampoo" and "soap". Her arms barely reached around his waist, while his arms swallowed her tiny body entirely. They let go, and she looked up at him with eyes overcast with a sense of lost sadness. She couldn't explain why she felt so empty, why she felt as if she was bound to eternally search for something, or someone. Gabriel asked her if she was okay, and she expressed her vague feelings, but quickly reassured him. She didn't want her brother to worry over her, especially over something so undefined. Besides, his presence, as well as Metatron's, was very comforting to her--she felt extremely out of place on Earth; so having fellow angels here, especially Gabriel, who was so experienced with humans, and Metatron, who could take command of any situation with grace and ease, made her feel quite protected. She and Metatron were the first down the stairs, assuming they were going to see Johana again. "Good morning, big brother, how are you?" she asked, looking towards him. "Fine, little sister," he said with a smile at their simple nicknames for each other, "I just hope we can find--" he stopped short. God had given them specific instructions not to mention Azrael or their search in front of her. He had told Raphaelle that Gabriel and Metatron were there to observe humanity and see how it had changed, and to watch out for Hell's demons appearing on Earth, and to stop them if they could. Which wasn't really a lie. "Find what...Metatron?" she looked up at him with almost knowing eyes, as she was expecting an answer that she had been waiting for for forever. "Johana. I hope we can find Johana soon, this human body of mine is hungry, and there's nothing in the kitchen," he said, plastering a half-smile on his face. Disappointment flashed in her expression for a moment, and then she smiled widely back at him, laughing a bit. He looked away, wishing more than ever he could relieve his dear sister's anxiety. It made him almost phsyically sick to lie to her, she who was so trusting. Raphaelle looked down at her feet. She knew something was bothering Metatron and Gabriel, and that it had something to do with why they were here on Earth. And, her heart seemed to add, something to do with why she felt so lost. But she knew better to question her orders, or her brothers. All would be revealed in due time. On the walk to Johana's house, Gabriel and Metatron were lost in some strange debate about humanity, while she walked silently behind them, watching people and buildings, depressed by the cold and dark way this world looked and felt, and trying to get used to her human body. She was still exhausted from her trip down, one she hadn't made for at least a millenia, and one she was not built for. Gabriel, who came down to Earth much more often, was completely at home in his human form, and Metatron, although he didn't come down as much, still seemed to handle his body with some decorum of grace. After the third time she stumbled, Gabriel turned around and looked at her with concern, "Do you want me to carry you, Raphaelle? I know the trip down was hard on you, and it's no trouble at all..." "Oh, no no, I'm fine, I promise! I just need to get used to this body a little more. I'm really okay. You don't have to carry me," she reassured him feverently. She hated when people had to worry about her, especially because she was more fragile or delicate. She was determined to be strong, so that her brothers and God could be proud of her. Gabriel didn't look convinced, but he turned around anyway, and continued his debate. Before they knew it, they were at Johana's house. She was waiting for them outside, car keys in hand. For a moment, it was awkward and strange, these three angels and a human girl, brought together in something so much bigger than all of them, in this ageless battle between Heaven and Hell. When they had first met last night, the angels had been utterly exhausted, and it was all they could do to follow Johana to their apartment and collapse in the beds. Now, they were awake, and aware. The silence, for a few moments was complete. Then Raphaelle stepped forward with a smile on her face, and embraced the girl. Stepping back, she said, "Hello Johana. I want to thank you for welcoming us here, and for taking such good care of us last night. We are eternally grateful." Johana smiled widely, blushing, and waved her hand, "I was more than happy to help you. I mean, come on, how often do you get a chance to help out a bunch of angels on a mission from God??" They laughed, and relaxed. "So, you guys must be pretty hungry, right?" she asked, jingling her keys, "I know this great place that has the best pancakes ever. D'you guys wanna go?" They nodded simulatenously, and got into the car, Gabriel taking what she called "shotgun", while the two more reserved angels sat in the back. God told me that I'd have to start going to the hospitals and clinics as soon as I was well enough...to help the stillborn babies. And he told me to watch out for anything my intution told me was strange, and to follow any feelings I had. I know God has a purpose in everything he does, but I wish he'd just've told me what we were really doing down here... Her thoughts receeded as she drifted further and further from consciousness, finally falling asleep in Metatron's lap to the soothing sound of quiet conversation and the running engine. - - - - OOC: Oh my freaking gosh guys. DeadSeraphim
'And to whom would I be talking, good sir?' Dead regarded this 'Fallen Angel' with suspicion. She claimed to be of the inferno, but the Holiness that oozed from her like a benign cancer spoke otherwise. White light surrounded her, and her wings were sharp contrast to Dead's leathery monstrosities - each feather, placed carefully by God, was still in place, like a perfect sculpture. On the other hand, she had shown respect with her bow - only the most morally degraded and corrupt would bow to a Fallen Angel, and it was impossible to make an Angel of God prostrate themselves without threatening death. This was all extremely odd. Dead would have to approach this situation carefully. Very, very carefully. 'I am...' He framed his words carefully. 'I am the one all humanity fears... I am the one who was loved the most of all the Seraphim... I am the first to have fallen from grace in the Holy Father's eyes.' A cracked grin spread across his face. 'Humans in ages past called me Dead Seraphim, though what the angels called me is lost to the ages. I suggest you call me what you will. I've no preference.' She didn't say anything for a long while, awed by him. Impatient, Dead's grin quickly turned to a vicious snarl. 'What do you want with me woman? You come to me and strike conversation, yet you say nothing! What do you want? Tell me now, lest I destroy you where you stand!' Woe gasped and stepped back, obviously shocked by Dead's sudden (but - to those who knew him - expected) change. Smoothing down her robe she tried not to show fear, but her wings betrayed her as they surrounded her protectively. Yet again, Dead changed. A self-content smirk was etched into his features now. 'I'm... I was sent here, on orders of Lucifer, to assist in the search for Azrael,' she said after a time, her eyes downcast. 'I am new to the ranks of the elite Fallen, and know not to whom I should report, and what my expected behaviour should be.' She looked up, hopefully. 'I was hoping you would instruct, not unlike a master to their student.' Dead turned away, as if considering this. Slowly Woe's wings drew away from her body as she felt herself becoming more at ease around the angel. Then she was on the floor, her stomach screaming in pain as Dead stood over her, having delivered a hard kick to her abdomen. His movements had been super-human, she'd not even felt the air shift. Looking up, she saw he was grinning like a depraved mad-man. 'Look where you are, woman. At my feet. This is your position, and thusly it will stay if you take me as your master.' He turned and walked away once more, summoning his blade out of the air and swinging it carelessly before turning back to her. 'Look at me, angel. Look upon one who has embraced the darkness. To be one of the fallen elite is to simultaneously hate and love the Holy Father, it is to tear away those things that mark you as one of his, and forge your own righteous path, with darkness as your guide.' With a mighty roar Dead assumed his true form, his wings stretched wide in each direction. They were horrible and beautiful, perfect and grotesque. The wings of a bat, not the beautiful wings of an angel. 'To be my student, will you do this? Will you become little more than a monster in the eyes of God? Will you learn to hate and despise his children, the humans?' Dead's eyes narrowed. 'If not, I suggest you leave my presence post-haste, lest I lose control and destroy you.'
Darth Vectis
Metatron had been sitting in their new aprtment all night, Gabriel and him couldnt get very much sleep. Gabriel had stayed up for unknown reasons, Metatron had stayed up because of the feeling he had back on earth. These people disgusted him for how they changed over the centuries, these people had no honor, no sense of right or wrong anymore. Crimes in this centurie were more horrendous, more sensless and more destructive. "Suddenly, I remember why i dont want to be here." When the sun rose he felt hunrgy, and started to cook up breakfast. After about 5 miuntes with trying to cook something he gave up and grabbed a box of cereal. Their human guide was the only person he could really respect, since she was pure soul and could still some how have contact with God. "Gabriel, we need to find Azrael quick so we can get out of here and get back to God." Gabriel had been walking around and put on some music, Metatron couldn't tell what it was. "Metatron, I like it here. I think we should stay for how ever long we can." " Your saying we should purposely delay to stay on this rock?" "No I'm saying it is a rather nice place and that we should stay here and live among its people." 'Thanks Gabriel, but I've already done that. They were honorable people back then, poeple you could depend on and trust." Metatron unsheathed his sword and held it in front of his face, looking at it, "Now, this is the only thing you can rely on anymore." He reasheathed the sword and went back to his breakfast, he thought to himself while he continued to eat, "Gabriel, and I may be friends, but this is one topic i will not agree on with him on." After Metatron had finished off his food and cleaned up, he went to the room that was supposed to be his and found a few things he never seen before, something for bathing use and some thing for listening to music. It had a note attached to it from Johana, "Here are somethings youll need if your gonna be here very long." He picked up the device for listening to music and on the back it sayed, Ipod. He had never heard of this, but of course he wasnt around when these things were made, so Metatron started to fidel with it and found out how to use it after about 10 minutes. He put the ear pieces in and started to listen to hard rock music. He liked it alot, this music was something he would definatlly grow on. After awhile Raphaelle finally woke up and and they were off down the stairs of their building, while they walked down he reminded himself of how they cannot say a word to Raphaelle about Azrael. He was talking to her and almost slipped on what they were actully there for, he felt like an idiot for almsot ruining the mission like this. She really didn't deserve to be kept in the dark like this, but it was something that had to be done for them to finish this job quickly. They had walked outside and Metatron had already started the hunt for Azrael, Gabriel and Raphaelle were enjoying the view of this new city, Metatron had put in the ear pieces and started to play his music. He carried his sword in plain veiw, he really didn't care if these disgusting creatures known as humans saw it. He was their just to do one job and one job alone. To find or destroy Azrael. Half way down the street to Johana's house Gabriel tapped Metatron on the shoulder and he removed the ear pieces, Gabriel then started to lecture him on how his sword was exposed to everyone. He told Gabriel he didn't care, these people carry weapons as well, so they started to get in to an arguement about how humans could or could not handle seeing someone carry a weapon around. When they reached Johanas house they stopped their argument and started to talk to her, Johana said they could get food so all three angels were very excited about this. All of them hopped into the car after about a few moments of sitting in the car, Raphaelle seemed to just pass out on his lap, he smiled at the litte person laying in his lap and stroked her hair gentle, he suddenly felt the sting of how they had to lie to her all this time, he whispered to her quietly. "When this is all over, you will know the truth." He looked back up and put the ear pieces back in, listening to his music and looking throught his window watching the people that they passed carfully. "I'll find you Azrael, then you can see the disappointment in Raphaelle's eyes and the pain you are causing her."
Lostcause
Woe laid on the ground as Dead finished his unholy speech. He turned his back to her continuing to babble on about righteousness of one's own path. Woe would have nothing to do with such vulgar remarks towards her lord. Shaking off the pain, Woe stood before the angels dark wings. Sticking her hands out to her sides, Woe summoned her to blades to her hands. A faint glow emitted from her eyes. As her eyes began to shine, a dark aura consumed her body rapidly. With this dark haze overwhelming her form, Woe quietly walked over towards Dead. She took in a deep breathe. She smelled the hatred and impurities that covered Seraphim. Cocking her head to her side, Woe placed both blades around the neck of her victim. " Let me restate my claim for you oh arrogant one. What I seek is a teacher, not a dictator. " Dead's body stiffened. " I have been sent forth for Azrael, the corrupted fool who tends to frolic on this plane far too long. I came to you for a possible agreement of services, never did I expect such stupidity from an elite of Lucifer's handpicked. I threaten not your life. Which ever way you chose to hunt the fiend is of your own accord, although, I have a feeling your company could come of use." Woe took a blade down the demon's chest, careful not to scratch the skin. Backing away from the demonic hunter, Woe returned to her previous form. The dark mist that had just covered her body had dissipated into the air, along with the glow and her tools. In her robes of white, Woe once again bowed before her new acquaintance. "Once more, what shall it be m'lord Seraphim?" As Dead seraphim turned, he gave the strange creature an odd look, as if questioning her motives, along with her side. Innocently as could be, Woe put her hands behind her back, bit her lip and gave a smile. O.O.C. Aiyisha, it's up to you. If you want to have our characters hang out then I?m good, if not, that?s fine too. Either way it'll work. WOW, this is like my shortest post ever. Onix
Belial let out a long sigh as he swung his wing-tipped shoe-clad feet up onto the desk. An unlit cigarette dangled between his lips as he fished around for a lighter in the pockets of his suit-jacket. He quickly gave up and simply snapped his fingers, a tongue of flame now curling up from his thumb. As soon as he lit the tip of the tube, he took a long drag before letting smoke curl out from his lips. "Nothing like a smoke..." he said, chuckling darkly. He placed the cigarette back in his mouth and lifted one leg up, examining his shoe. It was speckled with blood; so was the other. And, in fact, so where his hands and his (until recently) clean white shirt. "Well, shit," he muttered. He languidly dangled his other hand from the side of the chair, blood-smeared knife dangling limply in his fingers. His other hand plucked the burning object from his lips again, leaving him free to blow satanic and obscene smoke-figures at his leisure. True, his demonic powers made it easier, but he still enjoyed it. With a slow, bored movement he turned his head, surveying the room in which he sat. Blood was spattered, dotted, and smeared over most of the surfaces, most of all the bedsheets which had been ripped off the bed. A trail of gore led over to the desk at which Belial now sat, and then moved around to the door, blood specks on everything in the way. The pale, flayed corpse sat in the door way, the fierce red streaks the only remnants of color on her body. Belial grinned slightly. The carnage gave him...what did humans call it?...the "warm and fuzzies." Made him glad that he had seduced a married woman, made her guilty of the sin of lust, and then slowly cut her to ribbons until she died of blood-loss. A fitting end to an unfit existance, he thought. One of the best things about humans, really - always more to play with. He leaned back in his chair, finishing off the cigarette. He was briefly tempted to leave the lit butt and burn the woman's house to the ground, but then decided that he'd already done enough to the poor, cuckolded son of a bitch - even if Belial knew full well that the man regularly visited prositutes. So, he simply pressed the lit end to his skin until the sizzling stopped, the foul smell of burning flesh a reminder of his real home. The demon swung around off the chair, stepping around the mutilated corpse, and walked down the stairs, relighting another cigarette as he went. Belial enjoyed smoking - gave him something to do and, despite most of the media, he still thought it looked damn cool. Besides, not like it was hurting him any, just the poor bastards who got the chemicals second-hand. He was about to step out the front door when a loud voice boomed in his head. Do you forget your mission, Belial, King of the Incubi? Belial smiled slightly, taking a quick drag before speaking. "'Course not, oh Black Prince of Hell. I was just handin' you another worthless wretch to work the flames. Don't worry, I'll be gettin' after Azzy real soon." You will refer to him as Azrael, Angel of Death. Belial rolled his eyes. "Just trying to have a little fun, thou Enemy of Mankind." And lay off on the titles, already. "Sure, sure. Well, can't stay and chat, Master. I've got angels to track down, and sinners to tear apart." Bring him back soon, Belial. "Oh, I will. Mister Azrael is coming back whether he wants to or not, because I'm tired of rotting in Hell." As am I. The voice faded, and Belial walked slowly out into the moonlight street, wondering how long it would take for the whore-using prick to come home and find his slut of a wife dead on the ground. And got the warm and fuzzies all over.
JJ
Drew blinked in the sunlight. He and Azrael had just stepped outside and were heading for his car. They had decided to drive around and see if they could pick up on any of the three angels. ?So, you got a guess at who the third one is?? Drew asked, chewing his gum. ?No idea. It could be anyone. Even with the different aura.? Azrael said, staring out the window. ?Should be loads of fun.? Drew said, taking his wad of gum, and sticking it to the windshield. He had developed the habit since he started hanging around Azrael. He wasn?t sure whether it was him personally, or the way Azrael affected him. ?So, you getting? anything?? Drew asked, stopping at a red light. ?No, their aura seems to be getting fainter if anything.? Azrael said, still watching the scenery. ?Probably means they have a point of contact here. Could mean serious trouble for us.? Drew said, turning the car around. ?We?d better head back.? ?No, their aura is faint. We can ?hang around? a little while. Maybe even go see something.? Azrael said, still gazing out the window. ?Sure, sounds good. What?s outside that?s so interesting?? Drew asked, trying to look over Azrael?s shoulder. ?That?s the direction that their aura is coming from.? Azrael said. ?So, they?re in, oh shit. Which area is over that way?? Drew asked, scratching his chin. ?The CITY! You idiot!? A voice yelled, surprising Drew. ?You guys back?? Drew mumbled, pulling back from Azrael. ?Hmm?? He asked, thinking he was talking with him. ?Man, we couldn?t leave you a street from your house and expect you to find it again.? The voice said, sighing. ?I?m not a child anymore.? Drew said louder. ?You don?t have to act like that.? Azrael knew that Drew was having a ?spell? and let it go. ?Well, by the way you act?? The voice started to say but was cut off. ?Drop it, Jesus.? Another voice interjected. ?Just wanted to help, that?s all.? ?Fine.? Drew said, slamming the accelerator, and forcing Azrael to grab onto the side of seat. ?Do you have a death wish?? Azrael asked calmly as they flew done the almost deserted path. Drew was silent and kept driving. He didn?t want to tell Azrael about what had just happened. It made him feel so shitty knowing that they were right. He probably couldn?t find his way out of a paper bag. Drew slowly let up on the speed as they approached the main road again. He didn?t really remember going this way, but sometimes time was lost in thought. As they began the drive back to the lab, Drew tried to think of something to say. ?So, you, still wana go to the movies?? ?Sure, as long as something other than last time.? Azrael said. ?Got anything in mind?? Drew asked, looking bored already. ?Nope, let?s see what?s playing when we get there.? Azrael said, glancing out the window once more. ?Sounds fine. So, got any gum?? Drew asked, smiling slightly.
Annie
"Sure, D," Azrael chuckled so lightly, he barely heard himself, "But why don't you concentrate on driving, before you--Fuck!" Azrael clutched onto the dashboard as Drew veered into oncoming traffic. Horns blared harshly, piercing through the glass and into Azrael's ears. Grills soared just inches away from his door. The desperate screams of the people on the sidelines weren't enough to overpower Azrael's yelling. And yet, all the while, Drew continued to weave in and out of consistent games of chicken with semi trucks, dump trucks, and other insanely large vehicles. "Drew, what the fuck is wrong with you?! Do you want to die?!" "Drew doesn't have a purpose here anyway, right? All he does is get himself and others around him in trouble, right? He's useless, right?! Tell me, Azrael, is this how he dies? He knows it's coming! Look at his face!" As if on cue, the front end of Drew's junk car took a clip, and in a blink of an eye it was chunked over the side of the bridge. Azrael grabbed onto Drew, and clasped him tightly to his chest. The remains of the mutilated spun around furiously, nearly creating it's own tornado of debris. "Azrael, what the-" Drew, who came to, slapped and tried to reach for the steering wheel. His eyes widened in sudden terror as the hunk of metal plunged into a pillar. 20 minutes later "Drew, wake up man. Don't die on me, you piece of shit," Azrael groaned, not at pain, but at the annoyance of his friend's actions. Sirens chorused in the distance, and speckles of blues and reds danced on the horizon. Grunting with dissatisfaction, Azrael stood up and pulled the limp, tormented child to his feet. "Jesus God-damned Christ, you're heavier than I thought," smirking with the slight humor of a skinny human being so heavy, the angel limped off into the shadows of fallen piece of the highway's overpass. Unfortunately for them, their escapade with the lips of Death landed them in the very wrong part of the City. The area was littered with escaped convicts that cops were to frightened to chase after. Not for the fact that the convicts were their problem, but the entire neighborhood would jump on their backs like ravenous dogs on a small bowl of food. Over the years, many police officers fell at the hands of this neighborhood. The word on the streets and in the departments was that "no one comes out standing, and no one goes in brave enough". Azrael sighed, plucking the shards of glass from both of them. The day bustled along as normal, soon the calvary of ambulances and fire engines would show up. But for now, all they could do is wait and breath in the filth of the congested streets. "Good going, Drew. God couldn't save you even if he wanted to," the angel sniffed. He stood slowly, taking in longer breaths. "Show yourself, you lust-starved monster," Azrael dropped his arm to his side. "Oh now, is that any way to speak to your loved ones?" a smooth, yet chilling voice delicate evil whispered over Azrael's shoulder. Again, he turned around. But this time, he faced his company. A red-haired, devilishly handsome man clad in a streamlined, black suit. A half-burnt cigarette dangled playfully from his peachy lip. "And how did you know it was me, my dear?" "I know the smell of sulfur too well. And the smell of a defiled blood plagues you. I trust you're having the time of your life, Belial, my sweet," Azrael plucked the cigarette from the demon's lip and thrust it to the pavement. "Quite so. She," the charming devil paused to dig through his breast pocket to find another cigarette, "was delicious with dirty blood." "Oh, I can imagine. You only go for the best," Azrael grabbed the pack from Belial's clutches, "You always have." "There are a few that I have yet to touch," Belial pounced onto the bridge's railing and perched, "And as you might suspect, that is why I am here in front of you." "You know you will not get to me." "Oh, stop flattering yourself, you arrogant ass. I'm not here to fuck you. I'm here to escort you back to Hell," Belial glanced down at Drew, "Your human looks a bit--out of commission." "He'll be fine. Now, you didn't come alone, did you?" Azrael fingered the sticks of tabacco in his hands. "Of course not. But you know our parties never stay together for long. In fact," Belial stretched lazily, "we should probably go look for the other two." "Who else did he send?" Azrael, who never tried smoking, gazed at a cigarette with child-like curiousity. "Aside from my wonderful self, whom he could've let come alone, the evilness assigned Dead and some--Heaven-loving angel," the lustful demon jumped from his seat and struck up a match, "Put it in your mouth, the cotton end first. When you see the end smoke up, take a bit of a breath through your mouth." Azrael did what he was told, and took a short puff. And, as Belial expected, the angel coughed and sputtered, throwing the lit cigarette at him. "How can you enjoy that?" Azrael laughed through gagging. "You really are a child, Azrael. Come now, get your human and let's go find Dead. I have a feeling he's not going to enjoy the purity of that Woe." Scooping Drew into his arms, Azrael followed after the demon Belial who proceeded to pick off imaginary fuzz off of his suit. "Oh, how rude of me, what happened to you two?" "Drew, here, has a sickness." "Deadly?" "Well, you could say that,'' Azrael mumbled, "Actually, it's a sickness that controls his mind. He hears voices constantly. And sometimes, they take over his free will. Today was one of those times." "So we've got a nutcase to protect you. Good going, Boss," Belial wagged a slender finger at the ground.
Darth Vectis
"Something smells good." Metatron had his window rolled down and he could smell the pancakes and his stomach rumbled with eagreness to feast. They began to park just outside of the pancake resturant called IHOP. Metatron caocked his head looking at the weird name of this place. "Raphaelle, wake up. Were here." He whispered while lightly shaking her. She opened her eyes slowly and squinted, adjusting to the light and looking around, trying to see where they were. They all unblucked thier seat bealts and stepped out of the car and looked at the strange building with the giant sign saying IHOP again. All the angels stomach rumbled almost simulatenously. "You guys ready to go eat?" Johana said and they all sparked with excitment and nodded eagerly and the headed for the resturant. They entered the resturant and got a table for them, they sat down and looked over the menus. Metatron saw on the menu something called "Endless Pancakes." He thought that sounded really good. Johana finally looked up from her menu, and looked at the angels. "You guys ready to order yet." "I am." Metatron responded instantly. Johana looked surprised and nodded. "Gabriel, Raphaelle. You ready yeat to order?" After a few moments they looked up and nodded. Johana called over the waitress and they all placed their order and the waitress left. Metatron tapped Gabriel on the shoulder and motioned for him to lean in. "Did you sense something evil out here, or was it just me?" "No, i definatly sensed something not right." "Mabye its the humans you like so much. Mabye the massive absence of God here is what that feeling is." "No, It couldn't be Metatron. There may be an absence of God, but these humans can change that." "I doubt it, but whatever you want to believe." "Hey, what are u two talking about?" Raphaelle suddenly asked. "We were just talking about what we ordered, thats all little sister." She giggled at the little nickname. "Ok big brother." Metatron smiled at her response, right then the waitress can over with the orders. Gabriel had three pancakes with bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. Raphaelle had pretty much the samething except for not bacon and sunny side up eggs. Johana had some Pancakes and hasbrowns, Metatron only had three pancakes on his plate. Gabriel looked at his plate oddly. "Only three?" Gabriel asked. Metatron smiled "Just watch Gabriel." Metatron cut the pancakes in half and scarfed donw one half then the other, another plate of pancakes came out and he stuufed thos down too. the pancakes just kept coming and he would scarf down each batch then drink his coffee that came with the meal, along with everyone elses, Gabriel, Raphaelle and Johana all watched in awe of Metatron eatting this food like it was nothing. 13 plates later Metatron leaned back and sipped at his coffee. The others were still wide eyed and shocked at all the plates he had eaten. Metatron looked at all of them and raised one eye brow. "What?" "You ate 13 plates of pancakes in like 2 minutes." "And, your point is." "Your an animal Metatron." "Well i was hungry, I've seen you eat like that Gabriel." "Good point." Metatron then reached for his sword out of habit, and suddenly remembered he had to leave it in the car, so not to freak out any innocent by standereds. After they had all finished they payed their check and started to walk out of the resturant when a little boy accidently bumped him from behind, Metatron turned around and kneeled down in front of the kid. "Hey there little fella. What are u up to?" "Nothing mister." the little boy responded happily "Where's your mommy and daddy?" He pointed to the counter where his parents were talking with the cashier, Metatron looked and over what they were talking about how they couldnt pay their check and how they needed to get the the airport to pick up their family for a reunion. Metatron looked back at the little boy. "Don't worry about it buddy, ill handle this." He winked at the little kid then stood up and started to talk to Johana, she then handed him about two hundred dollars and he kneeled back down to the little kid "Here, take this to your parents over there and when they ask who gave you this money just say an angel gave it to you." The little boy nodded and ran over to his parents and Metatron smiled and walked out the door with everyone following. Gabriel sped up his walking pace to catch up to Metatron. "What was that about?" "What, I'm and angel. It's what we do isn't it?" "Well, yes it is. But didn't you say humans are a disgusting race?" "I did." "So why help that family?" "Because I just cant resist the charm of little childern." Gabriel raised on eye brow. "Really?" "Nah, he was just to cute to not help." Gabriel started to laugh hysterically at the joke Metatron had justt told. Metatron made a fack laugh and started to think back on his human life. "I really do miss my boys, I'll just have to wait until we get back to heaven until I can see my family again." They all got back in the car and started their long ride home. Metatron pulled out his cross from under his shirt and turned it around and looked ok the back and read the ingraving on it. "For my dear husband and loving father and the Arch Angel Metatron, we love you very much and hope that we meet again in the Heaven." He then kissed his cross and stuck it back in his shirt. This time he slowly began to fade into the dark of his dreamless sleep.
Orcus
Gabriel watched as Metatron fell asleep. He had choosen "shotgun" this time, so Gabriel sat in back with Raphaelle. He, however, didn't speak with her. The presence of evi, very close by actually, was overpowering. But something about that evil was familiar. Who was it, though? They drove for a couple of minutes before he realized who's aura that had been. It was Belial's. And apparently, he was in a neighborhood with an aura almost as dark as his. Gabirel grew anxious. Belial's aura hadn't been the only one he'd sensed. Ther was two others. One human...and one was something else entirely. Azrael. Gabriel leaned forward and spoke swiftly to Johanna. "Take us to the worst, most vile part of New York." Johanna nodded, slightly bewildered. Raphaelle truned to Gabriel inquisitively. "Why there, Gabe?" Gabriel looked at Raphaelle. He could tell her now, pretend to let it slip. He shook away the thought. She would get most of the truth anyway. "Fallen Angels. Here in the city. That Dark aura we felt was Belial. You remember him, correct? He also apparently has a guide, like us." Raphaelle was stunned. A fallen angel happened to show up in the same city as they did, with a guide as well. Now it was definite that she wasn't being told something. Gabirel shook Metatron awake, and leaned over to whisper in his ear. "I think we've found him. He's with Belial. And some human." Metatron shot up. He gripped his blade tightly. Though Belial was unbelievably lazy, if push came to shove he'd fight. And he was quite the advesary. Elsewhere... "So, can we leave now?" Belial looked at Azrael and Drew intently. Azrael nodded and took not but a step before being sturck with a mass of holy energy. Belial felt it as well. Gabriel and the cavalry were on their way. Belial laughed, taking a drag. "Oh, joy. Angels." He smiled and turned to Azrael. "Stay hidden. We wouldn't want them to take you away, now would we dear?" Azrael rolled his eyes and walked off with Drew. Moments later, Gabriel, Raphaelle, and Metatron were face to face with Belial. Gabriel smiled and walked over to him casually. He looked around. No sign of Azrael. But he could feel him. "Belial. It's been a while. You wouldn't happen to just be taking a stroll through downtown New York would you?" Belial took another drag and lew into Gabriel's face. "You know as well as I do why I'm here. But don't fret. We've got Azrael attended to." Raphaelle's heart skipped a beat. Azrael? That name...so familiar...but who is he? Gabriel looked to her, and then back to Belial. "If you would kindly hand him oer we won't have to fight." Belial took another drag, blew out, thre down the cig, and crushed it with his foot. He took a step back and surveyed the angels. "Don't bullshit me, Gabriel. Now draw your weapon." OOC: Hope that's alright ULX and Goddess. JJ
Drew slolwly came around to the bouncing of being carried. After swimming for a couple of seconds, the pain forced him totally awake, and he winced, surprising Azrael. Azrael set him down to see if he could support himself. He quickly crumpled under his own weight, and Azrael picked him up again. ?What..what happened?? Drew asked groggily. ?You lost control and crashed the car.? Azrael said, looking at Belial. ?What? I remember just waking up, then, nothing. Are you sure?? Drew asked, trying sit up. ?Yes. I wouldn?t lie to you about something like that. Besides, where would you explain the wounds?? Azrael said, trying to reasonable. ?I don?t know.? Drew said, sliding out of Azrael?s hands. ?I don?t need you to hold me. I?ve got control of my legs.? Drew tried to prove it, but he couldn?t move a couple of steps before collapsing. Azrael walked over to him, and got Drew to use him as a crutch while they walked. Drew went along with it, only because he didn?t have any other choice. To help things move quicker, Drew tried his hand out with talking to Belial. ?So, are you here to do something, or just to watch over Azrael?? ?Supposed to escort him back home to Hell. Then, we get to go to war against God, and all that good stuff.? Belial said, taking a puff of his cigarette. To Azrael, he asked, ?Are we going back to the lab, because if we are, Dr. Allington?s gonna maul me into little pieces.? ?No worries, I wasn?t hurt at all, and your wounds, as painful as they are, won?t cause any long term problems.? Azrael said, smiling. Belial suddenly hissed at Azrael, and he drug Drew off, muttering. When they reached a safe distance, Azrael shrugged Drew off his shoulder, and balanced him up against the side of a building. ?What was up with him?? Drew asked, looking around. ?The angels were there and he didn?t want them to catch me or you. Though, he was probably most worried about me.? Azrael said, looking back in that direction. Not a sound could heard from that direction which could mean any number of things. No waves of doubt on Belial?s ability flowed through Drew, instead worries of the angels abilities racked his brain. ?Can he take all three of them?? Drew asked, seeming worried. ?Probably not, but I?m betting that Gabriel and Metatron won?t make it an unfair fight, because in some form or another, God would frown upon it.? Azrael said, bending over. ?We need to keep moving.? ?Sounds good, but let me try to walk.? Drew said, wiggling out of Azrael?s path. He stood up OK, and seemed not to be too unbalanced when he stood, and his walk seemed OK, but Azrael didn?t want to take any chances, and made Drew use him again. They trudged deeper into the slums, and things seemed to get worse. The graffiti covered every open inch of the walls, and most windows now had bars on them to prevent break-ins. Drew didn?t feel particularly uncomfortable in this area. He just didn?t want to attract the wrong kind of attention. ?So, you got a plan?? Drew asked, trying not to smile. ?Nope, I figured, eventually, we?d end up somewhere that I could hail a taxi back to the lab.? Azrael said, looking Drew in eye. ?And what about Belial?? Drew asked, looking back. ?He knows where we?re going. No worries. Now, let?s keep moving.? He said, grabbing Drew again. It was going to be a long night.
DeadSeraphim
Dead sneered and looked away. Folding his wings around him like a leathery coat he walked to the edge of the skyscraper and looked down on the hoardes of humans below, a mix of pity and hatred etched into his features. How could she not hate these abominations? How could she not want to see them destroyed? With a laboured sigh he turned back to the defiant God-lover, the same look of hatred gracing his handsome features. He observed her for a long time, analyzing her, wondering how she could still adore God after he had cast her from heaven. And, after a long time, his fragmented mind came to a conclusion. And everything seemed so clear. And the course of action was obvious. 'It's the wings,' he said quietly. 'The wings are what keep you mistakenly loving God.' Woe stepped back and drew her wings around her. 'W-What do you mean?' she stammered. Her grip on the blades in her hands tightened as Dead started his slow advance on her, his wings unfolding to reveal the Luciferan blade held in his left hand, and the small, deadly fireball slowly growing in his right. 'I mean...' Dead said slowly, stopping about three metres from her and cocking his head slightly. 'The wings are what keep you so close to the Holy Father. The wings are what remind you of the bond you two once shared. The wings...' He paused, for effect. 'Are what keep you in a healthy state of delusion.' He raised his right hand and winked. 'So I think it is my duty to remove them.' The fireball that had been quietly growing was now the size of a basketball, and was crackling dangerously. 'I don't think... I don't think you should do that...' Woe had been slowly stepping backward, and was now at the very edge of the rooftop. 'In fact, I think it's the worst idea I've ever heard.' Her wings slowly unfolded and she held her arms out horizontal, pressing them against the soft feathers of her wings. 'It is for this reason, that I take my leave of you.' She stepped backward and disappeared from Dead's view as she whistled head first through the chill air between the buildings, catching herself moments before impact and soaring up and out of the alley at breakneck speed. Dead half-grinned. 'It won't be so easy, angel,' he muttered, allowing the fireball to fly from his hand. The small molten ball tracked the fleeing angel like a cruise missle, ducking in and out of her direct path before seemingly making up it's mind and colliding with her. Dead chuckled for a moment as the explosion lit up the night sky, allowing himself a moment to enjoy the feeble screams of the shocked humans before launching into the air and slicing through it at supersonic speed. He caught the stunned woman mere seconds before she hit the ground and flew up into the night sky once more, his sword arm pulled back ready to deliver the fatal blow to her left wing. 'Say goodbye to your Lord, woman,' he said through menacingly. Woe merely whimpered, prompting a maniac laugh from Dead. 'You didn't need them anyway.' Dead never got that far though. Seconds before he performed the dealdy deed, a bolt of lightning had arced through the air, hitting Dead full in the chest and forcing him to let go of the woman. 'WHO DARES?' he roared, but then he saw the reason. A techo-organic monstrosity floated before him, Woe held in it's seemingly frail arms. It looked at him slowly, then grinned. 'Dead, I presume?' Dead's eyes narrowed. This couldn't be him. It was all too easy, he'd not even taken any time to look. It wasn't exactly in his experience that the quarry came to him. 'Azrael?' he queried carefully, a small ball of fire growing in his hand again. 'The very same.' The cyborg looked at the woman held in his arms. 'I'll take it this is Woe then.'
Annie
"He will be all right, Azrael?" Drew, growing surprisingly concerned it threw Azrael off guard. "Yes, for the third time, Drew. Belial can handle his own. May not seem like it, but he can be obscenely brutal," the angel tried to reassure his friend. The two had stumbled and limped a good few city blocks before Azrael paused and stared into the sky. Drew, now able to half-walk on his own, continued without realizing no one was at his side. "Az, what's up? Don't just stop like that and let me wander forth like a blooming idiot!" Drew protested and shook a dried up bloody hand at him. Azrael did not say a word; only, he lifted one hand as to shush Drew. He turned ever so slightly as if he were trying to catch the wind better in his ear. Drew could always tell when he was concentrating by the excited twitching under his over coat. It was his wings, itching to stretch out and take flight. It only happened whenever Azrael was excited or angry. This is where Drew always wound up confused. Azrael's emotions never showed in his face until it was too late; meaning, if he was mad, you could only tell just seconds before he delivered a blow to the face. Drew found this out the hard way. But that's another story. For now, Drew pondered on what his friend was up to, and his silence was annoying. "Azrael, hello?" "I think--I think we've come across the second member of Hell's party," Azrael's face lit up with a child-esque charm, "Quickly, before we lose him!" With this, Azrael leapt into the air, leaving poor and injured Drew to fend for himself on the ground. "Hey! That's not fair, you fucker!" Drew scrambled to run down the alley and keep an eye to the sky. Azrael zoned out during flight. It was near impossible to get through to him when he went airborne. This was the one time Azrael could truly be the magnificence he used to be. Soaring through the air was the most amazing feeling he could ever relate to being pure and releasing. Though, it had changed quite so because of the extremely difficult to control mechanics of his modernized wings. His first time testing his metallic wings was chaos. He nearly killed Dr. Allington and the rest of the scientific board. He had to control a series buttons on a small panel on his chest. Electricity would then be powered to his wings and with a touch of the red button, the wings would thrust open and release a magnetic field powerful enough to raise Azrael's body off of the ground. All he had to do was balance his weight; whenever he wanted to thrust to the left, he just had to shift his weight to his left. You can imagine the extensive training he had to endure to perfect flight once more. Ahead, Azrael caught a glimpse of action in the sky. A woman being tossed around in the air like a ragdoll, and a dark pair of wings swooping to catch her. Azrael assumed her to be Woe for her stark white wings, which the darker figure now gripped in his hand. "And he must be Dead Seraphim," Azrael snickered and watched on curiously. Below, Drew collapsed onto a dumpster for support. He gasped for breath as he climbed atop of the dumpster and looked for a blunt object to chunk at his floating angel companion. Azrael gazed at Dead's swift, cold movements. He showed no compassion or mercy for the angel he held tightly to in his frightening clutch. His sword flamed with anticipation as he took aim to the angel's back. Sighing, Azrael decided enough was enough. Although, he always wanted to see what would become of a wingless angel. He knew very well they would become a mortal, but he also knew of rumors. Rumors that once an angel's wings have been severed from their bodies, that angel would become insane with pain and anger. Azrael only knew of one angel that this terrible end had happened to. It was said that Casamaran, Angel of Summer, was given this punishment for gloating in his practice of causing humans suffering with his powers of extreme heat and droughts merely just for fun. So, snapping out of his day dreaming, Azrael held out his hand. Sparks and crackles of pulsating energy shot out from his fingertips, finding its way to Dead's open chest. He reeled backwards, releasing his grip on Woe. His face flushed red with rage and slight embarassment. "Who dares?!" the fallen growled, pointing his blade in Azrael's direction. "Hello," Azrael waved playfully. In a matter of minutes, the two sat side by side on the edge of the roof. They gazed down at the pouting human that is Drew, and a furious angel cleaning her wings as best she could. "What happened?" Dead plucked lazily at his blade. "Drew and I were in a bit of a car accident, and Belial showed up. After he told me that you and this Woe," Azrael waved his hand at her, as if he were tipping a hat at her, "were on Earth, Angelic putrids showed up." "Who, may I ask," Dead yawned and looked towards the bridge. "Gabriel, Metatron, and a female," Azrael's voice trailed off. "A female? You don't know who she is?" "She...looked familiar. Almost as if I'd known her before. Her spirit is so clean, but empty." "Eh? Could you do me a favor? Stop mumbling, and speak up. My hearing just isn't what it used to be," Dead grumbled. His hearing was just fine, and he knew it. However, in the mortal realm, most of his exquisite senses were diluted; hearing was one of them. "Oh, nothing. Probably my imagination, and she's probably a newly born angel sent down to get some training. Needless to say, I don't like leaving Belial on his own. I know he can take care of himself, but I don't trust Metatron. Never have, never will," Azrael grunted as he stood and jumped from the building. He landed in front of Woe, who stepped back before she could get stomped on. She glared up at Azrael. He bent over slightly to appear in her face. He sensed she was disgusted with Dead and she was not liking the looks of Azrael. "If you have something to say, m'lady, do say it. I have no patience for the likes of God-loving angels," he spoke as cooly as he could manage without bursting into laughter at Woe's fuming eyes. The girl stared up at him, her anger spilling out of her every pore; almost giving her a glowing aura. Her jaw twitched, as well as one of her eyes. "Speak up, Angel!" Azrael boomed, thrust a hand forward, grabbing a hold of her white robs and pushed her against the brick of the wall. "Get your hands off of me," she growled in response, "You are not my master." "Oh, really? What, you think Dead is your master?" Azrael pointed up, "Or do you still believe God is? Don't make me laugh." "You're nothing to me. All you are to me is an assignment that needs to be completed." "Child, do you know whom you speak to?" Azrael jerked her face to his, "I am the Angel of Death. And you, every living creature, soul, and being, is on my rather tempermental list. Don't piss me off, dearest Woe."
Pumpkin
Johana had an unusual two weeks living with three angels in her apartment. Although she was 20 years old now, Johana still occasionally acts like a child and could not help her playful nature. Maybe in the end, that is why God chose her. She was use to bizarre things happening ever since she met God when she was 16 in a park. Every since then, her life was never the same again. Even so, the angels had just learned to earn her trust and she in return had grown fond of Gabriel, Metatron and Raphaelle. Meanwhile, they were eating at a local IHOP for breakfast when the angels began to feel uneasy. "Did you sense something evil out here, or was it just me?" "No, i definately sensed something not right." "Maybe its the humans you like so much. Maybe the massive absence of God here is what that feeling is." "No, It couldn't be Metatron. There may be an absence of God, but these humans can change that." "I doubt it, but whatever you want to believe." Johana watched them argue quietly as the conversation begun to get serious. She was their guide after all, but every once in awhile they would let her in on some of their secrets and missions. Next thing she knew, they were in her car, driving fast towards a bad neighborhood in New York City. Her stomache began to churn and her mind racing. A fallen angel named Belial. She had never met face-to-face with a fallen angel before, nor heard of them also having a guide. The anger of a human helping the other side overwhelmed her. She could only wonder what idiot is with Azrael now. She was going to do everything she could to help find him. Her foot hit the gas abruptly. "What are you doing Johana?" scowled Metatron, he had bumped his head on the window and was rubbing it furiously. "Sorry, I just want to get there in time, we might find Az-" grumbled Johana but stopped when she got a warning look from Gabriel in the back. "Ah....we're almost there." she said while laughing trying to break the tension off. Raphaelle seemed to mope in the back seat while staring at the scenery. "We're here." stated Johana proudly. The angels stepped out of the car and gave their thanks before heading off. Before they dissapeared, she shouted out to them " I'll be waiting here when you come back!" only to get a smile and a friendly wave from Gabriel before the three figures dispersed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OOC: Sorry that I haven't been posting lately, RL issues came up and I got busy. Lostcause
" You think your hollow empty threats can tear me down? " Woe stood in front of the "Death-bringer". As her anger grew, Woe slowly became consumed by the dark haze once more. Clenching her fists, the knives returned once more to her hands. " I care not what you think of me, but my God I do stand for. When in doubt he has always been there to deliver me from evils hand. I stand before you as a fallen angel. You might think this has destroyed my faith in The Lord, but it has not, for our bond can never be broken. If you wish to test my patience then I give you the first strike my dear Azrael, for you will much need it. I would watch my tongue if I were you, for the wrath of an angel is horrid, but the wrath of a woman is feared by all. " Azrael stood, baffled by Woe's speech. " You believe you can harm me? My powers are those above God, and you wish to challenge me? " Azrael chuckled at the thought. With amazing speed, Woe leaped around the fallen angels, assuming a place behind the mental challenged mortal. " I understand this one is a little sad today, shall I answer his wish? SHALL I GRANT HIM DEATH? " With a frightening laugh, Woe inserted her blades into the man's chest. He screamed in horror. Laughing, Woe removed the blades and pushed the mortal unto the ground. No blood dripped from the corpse. The fallen angels stood with a deranged look on their faces. Woe could only guess what floated through their minds as she laughed. Slowly, Drew stood up. He looked at his chest to find no source of pain on him. " What did you do to me? " " I simply impaled you with some air, just enough to knock the wind out of you for a bit. What, you thought I would waste my time removing you from this world? Do not make me laugh simple-minded fool. Although, if it would prove my worth, I would love to spar with one of you, possibly you, the new one. " Looking over to Balial, Woe focused on his eyes. She knew he controlled some sort of power, yet she could not explain what it was at the time. Calmly she walked over to the fallen angel. She bowed, and then walked to the other side of the roof top. " Demon, come what have you! " As the dark mist swirled around Woe, Balial licked his finger and pointed it skyward. "Oh, look at that, high elevation, and strong gust, looks like you are going down tonight sweetie.? Dead, Azrael, and Drew all moved to a side of the building that would not let them interfere with the ensuing battle. Azrael saw this as a test of strength for the little girl. Who knows, maybe she isn't all that bad. Woe's eyes flashed open. She soon found her target and darted towards him. As she neared in towards Balial, she saw him take his cigarette and throw it before him. As soon as Woe entered striking distance, she was blown away by a strong fiery gust. Quickly, she flapped her wings, sending the flames back down. She then glided over Balial to face his back. " You are quite the trickster my dear Balial. You shall be an, interesting opponent in the wars to come. " " Sugar, I haven't even gotten started yet, trust me. " " Oh, but I can't my dear comrade, for as you are my friend, you are my enemy. Enough with this chit-chat are you going to be a man, or am I going to teach you a few tonight? " " I like the way you talk, makes me feel right at home. " Their eyes met on the roof top. As they readied themselves for another strike, the sudden murmur of a helicopter reached their ears. " Oh my. Comrades, run! I'll stay, trust me, humans are no challenge. " The other three angels ran to the fire escape with Drew in tow. Woe stood there walking toward the edge of the building. The helicopter soared up the side of the building and above Woe. " Ma'am, freeze, you are under arrest..." Freeze? I was thinking flames my dears. Woe flew up to the helicopter, and stared at the two pilots through the windshield. May God keep you from Hell. Woe slowly brought the blades up to her face. Suddenly they began to burn with intense flames surrounding them. Sprinting through the sky, Woe made her way for the fuel line. Quickly, she threw a knife into the tank. Within a second, the mechanical contraption exploded, sending shrapnel everywhere, and a blade right back into Woe's hand. Woe hovered in the sky for a minute or two, to see the chaos below her, and the panic she had caused. Returning to the rooftop, Woe walked over to the door and flung it open. " Now, I suggest we move before more return. "
Onix
"Don't bullshit me, Gabriel. Now draw your weapon." Belial chuckled darkly as he surveyed the three Holy agents before him. Gabriel was the sword wielding master of water, and a skilled healer, among a few other talents. Metatron was said to be "second only to God," and Belial had heard stories claiming he wielded all four elements. And then there was the little girl, who was pulling out...bells? However, Gabriel put his hand in front of her, stepping between her and Belial. "Stay back, Raphaelle..." the angel murmured, voice cold and resolute. She looked up at him, confused. "Why, Gabriel?" "Because I have seen this demon fight, and you are...not a good match," Gabriel said, casting an appraising glance at Belial. "Besides, you are inexperienced. It would not do well to thrust you into battle against - " "Such a powerful demon?" Belial said, grinning at the two. "Well, I promise I won't kill your little lolita pet...at least, not until I'm done with her." To further his point, Belial slipped out his tongue and licked his lips, baring his sharp teeth. "You filthy snake!" Metatron roared. In a flash, the mighty angel charged, drawing his angelic blade, cutting through the air. His speed was incredible - a mortal couldn't have seen him move. Belial, on the other hand, was counting on the charge. He had leapt over the enraged warrior, and used the moving air created by his movement to summon up an invisible blade, cutting through Metatron's shoulder. The demon of lust laughed as he touched ground. "Angels...so predictable." Metatron turned and shot Belial a fierce glare that would've caused most to wilt. "You make me sick," he growled, turning to face the demon. He quickly raised a hand and instantly cauterized the cut. "It's time to finish you!" "Finish?" Belial asked, pouting slightly. "But we've only just begun." "Gabriel!" Metatron barked. "Take Raphaelle and find Azrael! I'll deal with this lascivious curr." "Tch...no need for name-calling, Metatron," Belial said, waggling his finger in a very condescending manner. "Go, now!" Metatron snarled, eyes blazing. "But Metatron..." Gabriel began. "Go now..." Metatron growled, cutting his ally off. A bolt of fire shot past Belial, lightly scorching the side of his jacket. His face flickered, the cocky smirk twisting into a cruel glare. The flames struck a garbage can behind the demon, causing it to erupt into a piller of hot shrapnel. "...So I don't have to hold back!" Gabriel hesitated, but nodded, tugging on Raphaelle's arm. "Let us go...quickly." Belial and Metatron locked eyes as the two angels flew off. The heat between the two was high, and the fires around them had nothing to do with it. Slowly, two wings sprouted from Belial's back. At the same time, his hair grew longer. The clothes slowly melted from his body, leaving his pale skin gleaming in the fire light. His human guise vanished - the Demon Lord Belial stood in the bare street. "Well, without the child here, I don't have to hold back either..." Belial said, sneering at his opponent. "You would've killed her anyway," Metatron shot back, twisting his katana in his hand, sliding to the ready. "I already told you, Metatron, I wanted to keep her around. Have some fun, you know." "You would rape an innocent angel?" Belial turned his head, eyes sparkling with mad glee. His lips slowly twisted into a cold leering grin. "Oh, come on...it's always more fun when they scream..." "Vile wretch!" Another bolt of flames shot at Belial. With a quick step he dodged, taking to the air. The brief wind that followed Metatron's weapon swirled around his enemy, and Belial crafted it into another blade. Papers twisted around his feet, and the flames coiled in his hand, making the weapon visible. The blazing sword flickered, illuminating his face with fierce red light. "As much as I'd love to play, I really don't have time, Metatron." "Then I'll make it quick." Belial laughed softly. "I always knew you were a quick finish..." The wind howled around him as Belial streaked towards Metatron. Fire and wind met holy steel, flames flashing in the faces of Demon and Angel. The clash had begun.
Darth Vectis
Belial and Metatron had locked together with their swords, Belial's fiery wind sword, and Metatrons katana. For a few moment they both stood their trying to push each other back both grunting with the strength that it took to just hold it. Belial was now taller then him because of his true form but their strength was evenly matched, Belial had a sinister grin on his face and leaned over close to Metatrons face. "This is fun Metatron, I havent had a challenge like this in a long time. But unfortunetly i will need to end this."Belial started to push harder and Metatron started to lose ground. "No! I will not die to a demon like you! You are nothing but a vile, disgusting creature who should stayed damned like the rest of you traitors. I WILL WIN!" Metatron then took his foot and kicked the demon in the stomach making him fold over, Metatron moved back away from the demon to get a breather. "Wow Metatron. That was very unexpected of you to do, very un-angel like if I might say." "Well, when your against a demon you must fight like a demon to win. You fight dirty and ruthlessly and shockingly humans fight the same way and if you remember i was once a human."Metatron then gripped his sword with both hands and changed his sword into water, as he swung his sword into his figthing stance you could hear the water swish. "Are you ready to continue Belial or is your sloth like spirit telling you to avoid this fight any further." "You know Metatron, your tattoos are very intersting. Why do you have them, but more specifically why is your right arm have a demon sword on it with angel blood covered in it."That question threw Metatron off a little. "I wear this one because it reminds me of how i shouldn't betray God like you fools did." Belial took a step closer as he saw what was happening slowly to Metatron, he was losing his confidence. "Are you sure thats why that tattoo is their or mabye, just mabye that tattoo is to show your weakness to our dark powers. To the darkness that resides in your heart like every other angel, like the innocent female angel you have with you. Her heart proabably has mountains of darkness but you just dont know it."Metatron gripped his sword tighter in anger. "No, you are wrong. None of us would would fall away form God like you did and we never will!" Metatron shot another fire bolt past Belial, just barely missing the demon. Belial had dodge the bolt barely then looked back at Metatron, he was caught by surprise when he saw Metatron lung at him. Belial dodeged that blow as well. As soon as Metatron was behind him he swung his blade behind him cutting Belial in the back. Belial was caught off guard and fell forward on his knees. "That was a cheap move Metatron, especially from an angel, you are turing to our side slowly aren't you?" "No im not, im just fighting the only way i know to beat you." Belial laughed heartily. "Beat me? Never Metatron, with my powers their is no way you can defeat me." He then stood up and used his firey wind blade to seal up the wound on his back. "We could be here all day angel." "And we will until one of us falls." Replied. Suddenly they heard a scream in the direction where Gabriel and Raphaelle had gone. "Looks like your companions are in trouble." "Are you sure, they could be yours angel."Belial Responded coldly. Metatron put some thought into it realizing that it would be three versus two, and they were all of dark forces so they would use their numbers to their advantage. Metatrons sword turned back into steel and he resheathed it. Metatron pointed at Belial. "I'll get you later curr." Metatron then opened his wings and took off into the air towards the sound of the scream. Belial watched has Metatron flew off, he then turned back into his human form and took a deep breath. He then pulled out one of his cigarettes and lite it with his fingers. He took a deep breath then blew it out. he laughed softly. "Damn, almost got him. And he almost got me. He's pretty good, he won't be as lucky next time." And he started to walk to where Metatron went, not caring how long it would take him to get there. "Lets hope the others do fine without me, because im certianly not gonna stay here on this planet alone if thier is no reason to be here." He said to himself as he walked of into the darkness. "Shit that bloody wound he gave me hurts like hell." Belial said as he rubbed the wound on his back, he removed his hand and a rune symbol glowed red over his wound, Metatron would have the last laugh. JJ
?Sonuvabiotch!? Drew cursed kicking the dumpster he had climbed on top of. Azrael had soared off into the sky, and left him alone, which made him nervous. He hadn?t seen anything, and he figured it was an angel thing. He then say with his back up against the wall, sighing. Today had been a real bitch, and he would have killed just to get back home to his bed. As he slid down the wall, he felt something in his back pocket poke him; he dug around, and pulled out a .9mm Eagle pistol and smiled. Azrael would say carrying guns around in your back pocket is like asking to die, but Drew suddenly felt like it was one of the best ideas he had ever had. As he admired the sheer blackness of the gun, and couple of shadows took a sentinel stance at both ends of the alley. Drew, still fascinated with his gun, didn?t notice. He polished it with his shirt, and stuck it in his front pocket, whistling to himself. He stood up, and was about to leave the alley to look for Azrael, when he noticed the two shadows guarding the exits. He chuckled nervously, and looked at the dumpster. There, stood the most idiotic looking kid Drew had ever seen. He couldn?t have been more than 18 years old, and he was dressed like a gangster from the early period of 2000. A white hoodie with the hood pulled over his head, and the strings tightly stringed. His jeans were blue and baggy, his underwear practically showing from the front. Around his neck about three or four gold chains with his name, a crucifix, and money signs hung from the front like neon signs. ?What the hell you doin? on my land fool?? He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. Drew laughed at his accent. He?s been watching one too many old music videos. ?Where does it say this alley belongs to you, shorty?? The kid threw his hood back, and Drew had to restrain himself from laughing. The kids cheeks were fatter than a squirrels carrying nuts. His hair was all shaved off, as were his eyebrows. His pale white skin only seemed to accent his missing hair, and his blue eyes seemed almost non-existent. ?Nigger*, I?m gonna kick yo? ass!? Drew was taken back at this. No one had used that word since his childhood, and everyone had jumped the kid that had said it, so Dreew wasn?t expecting it to come into play. ?Little shits need to learn to keep their tongues before they?re ripped from their mouths.? ?Fool, I?m gonna pop so many caps up yo? ass, you?re gonna die from a ruptured, organ!? He yelled, jumping down from the dumpster. Drew couldn?t control himself anymore, and he busted out laughing. This kid had obviously dropped out from school at an early age. The kid?s facial features smooshed together as he began to growl. He made a hand gesture at the two shadows, and they began to come closer. Drew wasn?t scared, because as soon as this punk pulled a gun on him, all three of them were gonna die a very, very, painful death. ?What, you not learn to say things like kidney, heart, and lung?? Drew asked, tears starting to stream down his face. The pudgy boy let out a yell, and whipped out a simple handgun, pointing it unsteadily at Drew. ?Foo?, you don?t know who you be messin? with. I am 75 Cent, and I?m gonna fuck you up big time.? Drew kept a solemn face and said, ?I could a bullet between your forehead, and your two associates before you could even think to pull the trigger in response.? ?Prove it, bitch.? He said, sliding the safety off of his gun. ?Alright, but only since you insist.? Drew said, smiling. Drew reached into his pocket, and whipped out his prize, and smiling wildly as he aimed and shot, causing a round, red hole to appear on the boys forehead. His eyes began to roll into the back of his head, and he began to have a spasm as he body flailed around, then drop dead to the floor. Drew smiled, and blew imaginary smoke away from his gun. ?You boys wants some too?? The two shadows stepped into the streetlight and reviled themselves to be muscleman like in terms of arms and chests. They were ripped all over, and tried to intimidate Drew as the closed in on him. Drew just smiled and said, ?I have you a chance.? He pulled his gun up, and fired two shots in concession, bullet holes appearing in the middle of their shirts, rather than their foreheads. The circle quickly grew, and the pair could only look down before totally passing out. Drew had tried not to aim at any vital organs, but sometimes, it just couldn?t be helped. Drew smiled at the mess he had made. Idiots like the boy needed to die early, so as not to make people?s lives a living hell later. He meant no offense to his employers, but Heaven just didn?t seem like an appropriate term. He chuckled, and noticed a sound wafting from above, which Drew assumed to be one of Azrael?s escorts. He walked around the building, and noticed a window on the ground floor that didn?t have bars on it. It was locked, so Drew whipped out his gun, and blew the window open. He wasn?t one for waiting, and he wanted to make sure that Azrael wasn?t dead. As he walked through the room towards the stairs, he stopped. He dug into his pocket, and found a piece of gun. ?Winterfresh, always a good choice.? He said aloud, popping it into his mouth. He continued his trek out of the room, and exited to a dark, damp staircase. He began to climb, and prayed it wasn?t a huge staircase. Luckily for him, sitting there a floor later was a small elevator, sitting there waiting. He gladly got in, closed the door, and waited as the old thing slowly chugged up to the roof. When the bell of arrival chimed, Drew smiled. It may have been a long ride, but the whole time, he could hear that voice from earlier. As he quietly opened the door to the roof, he chuckled. Whoever it was, was going to get a big surprise. ??and the bond between Him and I are stronger than ever. As soon as he realizes I still work only for him, he?ll surely?? The Angel said, almost preaching to the other two. ?SHUT THE FUCK UP! JESUS CHRIST!? Drew yelled, firing into Woe?s backside. He heard her stop, and whirl around, blades at the ready. ?Who dares fire upon me?? ?Me ya fucking idiot. God?s disbanned you. He doesn?t want you anymore. You work for Lucifer now. Get the fuck over it!? Drew said, coping a cap in her front side. Woe sped towards him, blades pointed straight at him. Drew didn?t flinch, but instead tried to step to the side, but watched as Woe?s blades stuck into him. He didn?t feel pain, but then again, he had never been stabbed before. As Woe pulled her blades back out, Drew noticed that, there wasn?t any blood. Woe began to laugh and said, ?Stupid Mortal, I simply impaled you with some air, just enough to knock the wind out of you for a bit. You think I?d actually waste time on a puny thing such as yourself?? Drew could only looked from Woe?s blades, over to Azrael, before passing out from sheer overexcitement. Orcus
Gabriel had respected Metatron's wish to leave him alone to fight and, with Raphaelle, took to the skies. Up in the air, Gabriel was on lookout for Belial's comrades. Raphaelle waited patiently for Gabriel to finally tell her what was going on. Her anxiousness got the better of her, though, and she quickly burst out. "Gabriel! I'm tired of this facade. Please tell me what's going on! Who's Azrael!? How come his name seems so familiar to me?" Gabriel looked at Raphaelle thougtfully. Though he had been forbidden to mention Azrael, she had still heard of him. Gabriel decided he would tell her what was going on. "Azrael is the Arch Angel of Death. He once lived in heaven with us, but...you could say he was the black sheep of the Arch Angels. God could always sense the dark force he held, but never mentioned it. He was sure it would stay at bay." He gave Raphaelle a moment to take all of that in and continued. "After Lucifer launched his rebellion against Heaven, there were many of us who believed that Azrael would join him. Amazingly, he didn't. Not untill much later. I'm not sure what made him leave, but other of the Arch Angels, especially Metatron, spoke of God betraying him. Azrael was banished to hell." Raphaelle heart throbbed. Something's still missing here... I can't remember any of that. And very few angels can banish other angels. I'm the most proficient at it. Why can't I remember? Why? Gabriel could see the discontent in Raphaelle's eyes. He took his hand and placed it over her heart. "God erased your memory. For your safety. Your happiness. But he couldn't erase your feelings. If I can let those lose...You should remember everything." Gabriel concentrated deeply, searching the confines of her heart. Finally he found what he was looking for. He unleashed it, and Raphaelle's eyes opened wide. She remembered. Gabriel caught her as she collapsed. She was shaking, and tears were streaming down her face. She buried her face in Gabriel's chest and cried harder. He wrapped his arms around her and spoke gently into her ear. "I'm sorry. I'd have told you ages ago...I even tried to stop God from doing it. But he felt it was in your best interest...He was wrong though. It only ate at you inside." Raphaelle clung closely to Gabriel, then let go, stood up and straightned herself out. Gabriel rose as well, and Raphaelle adressed him. "So we must find Azrael and bring him back to God? Will...will God destroy Azrael?" Gabriel looked at Raphaelle. He wanted to lie more than anything right now, tell her God wouldn't. But he was done lying to her. "If Azrael doesn't cooperate, he might." Raphaelle nodded, looking worn out. She let her wings lose and took to the sky. She stopped midflight and motioned for Gabriel to join her. "Well, now I'm of more use to you. Now that I know who we're looking for."
Annie
Azrael sighed heavily, and walked over towards the pile of bones and the steaming angel. Her aura was pulsating with rage, and it was over-flowing through her eyes. Dead yawned, what can you say, he gets bored rather quickly. He picked at his fingernails, and let out a heavy huff; his attempt to communicate to Azrael that he was getting fed up with this angel. Azrael knew exactly what Dead wanted, but he also knew it would put them in a crimp if anything were to happen. Hell's Army wasn't strong enough yet, and they needed all the able bodies they could muster; even if they were Heaven-bound. "Woe, I know he shot you in the ass, and I'll take care of him," Azrael knelt beside his friend, "but we must control ourselves. We can't be wasting our energy and strength on each other. There are 3 very powerful angels of God that want to maim us-" "Specifically, you," Dead pointed, blowing Azrael a half-felt kiss. "Ahem, yeah. That doesn't mean they'll hesitate to decapitate you if given the chance. And Dead, don't say 'let them try' because I know you are extremely powerful..but you can't speak for Metatron and Gabriel. I am not even aware of their current strength. For all we know, they could be just as strong as us. This is something we must be prepared for," Azrael rolled Drew onto his back. He bit at his thumb to produce a small puddle of blood. He rubbed his thumb into the palm of his right hand and drew the pentacle star. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, Azrael pressed his hands together so that the star was on both hands and began to massage over Drew's chest. "What's the deal with him anyway?" Woe grumbled, looking at the small hole in the backside of her robes. "He's got an illness that controls his mind at random. He hears voices, and since his soul is weak, he listens to them. You really have to be patient with him," Azrael began massaging over Drew's chest. "Psycho?" Woe rubbed her rump. "No, he's disturbed. I'm psychotic," Dead started, "Well, maybe I'm both." "You can say that again," Azrael chuckled. "What are you doing? Are you healing?" Woe crouched beside Azrael. She was attentive, but cautious to get too close to Azrael. Whether he'd try to strangle her again, or he would be distracted if he was healing, Woe was not going to find out. Which was a smart move because Drew's body began to hover slightly and started to glow red. Azrael's hands trembled and Drew fell back to the ground. The dark angel clutched his right hand and sunk fully to his knees. After a few minutes of silence, and focus on Drew, the human moaned and blinked his eyes open. "Am I dead..?" "No, idiot," Woe stood and balled her fists on her hips, "Fortunately for you, Azrael healed you." "I didn't know ya could heal," Drew slowly sat up and shook his head. He looked down at his hands and saw that his wounds were gone. He felt over his forehead to run his fingers over smooth, dry skin. Azrael smirked and stood slowly. Dead soon stood beside him and gave Azrael a narrow eye. "When and where did you learn to do that?" "Well, when you live in the mortal realm for so long, you pick up on different cultures. I happened to take a keen interest in the occult and learned many things from it. Healing was one; though, you have to sacrifice your blood," Azrael shrugged, "Luckily I'm immortal again." "So, can we go after the angels now?" Dead groaned, helping Drew to his feet. "I think we should. I have a strange feeling things are going to heat up," Azrael smiled. Drew, Dead, and Woe stood back. It was the first time Drew and Dead had seen Azrael smile, and it gave Woe the chills. So maniacal and chesire-like, it would make even Belial uneasy if he had seen. He was excited. The group climbed down the fire escape and started towards the bridge. Of course, Azrael led them in a different route, hoping not to run into Gabriel just yet. But to his disappointment, he felt a gush of purity and knew they were too close for comfort. "Azrael," Drew started, but was hushed by Dead's hand. "He's not too far, and I feel that third party...." Azrael snuck to the edge of the building to take a look. Cautiously, he peeked his head around the corner to see three figures. A human woman, who must be their contact and Gabriel who was holding the third angel. She was so stunningly beautiful, Azrael couldn't take his eyes from her. She was so delicate and innocent, but her soul was shaken. It was as if someone had just given her word that something dear to her was dead. Her body trembled in Gabriel's arms, and her face was twisted with pain. "Why...why do I feel I know her.." he whispered to himself as he grasped at his chest. "Who's that chick angel?" Drew called over Azrael's shoulder. "I don't know for sure. Somehow, I feel that I know her from a long time ago," Azrael shoved Drew off. "She looks tormented," Drew smoothed out his shirt. Azrael continued to stare. He wanted to see her eyes, just to get a confirmation. Azrael stood back a bit as they began to move. The human woman first, then Gabriel followed. He took the female angel by the hand and pulled her to move. However, she did not budge, and Gabriel turned around to see what was keeping her. She turned her head to look Azrael directly in the face. Her eyes sparkled with a blue so bright, it cut through the shadows he lurked in. A gentle gust of wind forced her long, glowing blonde hair to dance around her. As if her precious face couldn't be anymore breath-taking, she smiled. "My....Raphelle.." Azrael gasped and stumbled backwards, nearly toppling over Drew.
DeadSeraphim
'Goddamn it,' Dead cursed, pulling Azrael further back into the alley. From the angel's reaction Dead assumed they'd been seen - for better or worse, he did not know. 'Who was it?' he asked curtly, propping Azrael against the wall. If they were to fight, Dead at least wanted to know whom he would be destroying. Azrael gazed blankly for a moment before seemingly coming back to his senses and looking oddly at the dark winged angel standing over him, seemingly perplexed by his presence. 'Pardon?' Dead snarled. 'Who saw you, who was it that made you stumble back into the alley?' Azrael didn't answer, electing instead to look away, hoping it would somehow spare him from the fallen angel's questioning. Dead's eye ticked as his patience came to its end. With a mighty heave he lifted Azrael by his shirt and slammed him against the wall, bringing his face close to the angel and looking menacingly into his eyes. Nearby Woe only watched disinterestedly. She cared very little for either of the two male angels whom she was forced to associate with. 'Who saw you, Azrael. Tell me now.' With a sigh Azrael resigned himself to his fate. It was in their best interests to tell such details anyway. 'It was...' he paused and Dead's scowl deepened. 'It was Raphelle.' With a gasp Dead dropped him and turned away. 'No wonder...' Woe raised an eyebrow. 'What? Am I missing something?' Dead turned slowly to her. 'You don't know? Raphelle is the one who was ordered to cast Azrael from heaven.' --Elsewhere 'What is it Raphelle? Did you see something?' Gabriel's voice was concerned. Raphelle slowly looked back at Gabriel then raised her hand to point in the direction of the fallen angels. 'A man... very haggard looking.' Gabriel frowned and probed at the area telepathically, but found only darkness. Not a soul to be found. Still, it seemed suspicious. 'Go ahead with Johana, I shall investigate this.' Raphelle nodded and hurried to catch up with their human guide. Watching her for a moment Gabriel allowed his six wings to appear and drew his long sword, slowly stalking his way to the alley to which Gabriel had pointed. When he finally came to it however, it was oddly dark, with not a speck of light entering it or leaving it. 'Who goes there?' he called, his voice suspicious. A low cackle echoed out of the darkness in reply. 'Your worst nightmare...' With a mighty roar Dead appeared, his sword flaming and his dark wings stretched wide. Gabriel stepped back slightly but did not show any signs of fear. Dead grinned. This would be interesting. 'Woe,' he called back into the alley from which he'd emerged. 'Make sure Azrael escapes! I'll take care of this one.' He spun his flaming sword deftly in his hand and assumed a fighting stance. 'Or die trying.'
Orcus
Gabriel stared at the creature in front of him. He was powerful, Gabriel could tell. But he wasn't concerned with this demon. He was concerned about Azrael. Gabriel merely looked at the demon and started walking. "I don't have time for y--" Dead swiftly swung his blazing sword at Gabriel's chest. Gabriel masterfully brought his blade up, deflecting Dead's blow, and then jumped backwards as Dead swung again. Gabriel landed and growled. Dead had hit his sweater, and it was starting to burn. He took it off and threw it to the side. "So you won't let me pass, eh? I guess I have no choice but to fight you. But before we do battle...What is your name?" Dead laughed mockingly and spat at Gabriel. "You angel's and your chivalry. My name's Dead." Gabriel nodded and brought Aqacius Reqiuem up before him. He quickly telepathically linked his mind to Metatron's and Raphaelle's. Quickly, come to where my aura is. Don't help me though. Keep going further. There, Azrael, his guide, and another Fallen, named Woe, are fleeing. "Hurry angel! I grow weary!" Dead's wings stretched full span, and he rushed at Gabriel. Gabriel didn't budge, he only extended his wings to their full size as well. Dead dispised the holy aura that cam from Gabriel , so he quickened his pace and began attacking Gabriel. Dead's blade was swift and hard to deflect. Dead pounced up and made to drive his blade through Gabriel's back. "You can't defeat me that easily!" Gabriel spun quickly emitted a geyser of water from his blade, launching Dead back into the air. Dead quickly regained balance, and stared down at the ground. But Gabriel was gone. Dead looked all around and laughed. "Fleeing? How pathetic!" Dead laughed even louder. Then a voice came from directly behind him, and along with it, an overpowering holy energy. "What made you turn from God?" Gabriel pressed his palm against the back of Dead's head and entered his mind. Memories, thoughts, emotions poured into Gabriel, and Dead screamed in rage. Only it wasn't just Dead screaming. Gabirel was to. Finally Dead pushed Gabriel away, and the two fell to the ground. "B...Ba..astard!" Both Dead and Gabriel had been shaken up. Gabriel's heart ached from the pain he had felt in Dead. Gabriel slowly pulled himself up, as did Dead. They stood facing each other, breathing heavily. Dead gripped his blade again, and lunged at Gabriel. The battle ensued again, and Gabriel took a beating. He still hadn't regained his mental mainframe, and couldn't concentrate. Dead knocked him against the wall and smiled. "Angel...This is pathetic. I expected more from one of God's toys. But now...it's time for me to have my fun with you--" A sound from behind caught his attention. Metatron, Raphaelle, and Johanna had ran up. Dead smiled playfully at Gabriel. "And then I'll have fun with your friends. The screams and cried for mercy that will come from them when I rip the bodies apart will be music to my e---" Dead stopped, the wind knocked out of him. He looked down, to find Gabriel's blade inserted into his stomach. Gabriel drove it in and sneered. He mpved close to Dead and whispered into his ear. "Don't worry about my friends...You and I aren't finished having fun." Dead's body was propelled backwards by a centerd stream of water.
