*raises hand* I'm a fencer! I play on my high school's team and this past year was a good year for us, as we got to the Junior Championships and met some Olympic fencers who happened to be watching their future competition.

Other than fencing, I skateboard, I used to play hockey and participate in Karate, but I pretty much dropped out since they weren't being taken that seriously. My Karate class was mostly six or seven-year-olds and for me there just wasn't any progress.

Anything with a racket but mainly badminton. I rarely play doubles unless I can find someone else who actually knows how to play at a good level considering the 10 people besides me who play here. It'd be easier if I lived near the harbor where they have areas for you to play but it cost too much for the properties.

Anything else: volleyball, football, and track. Something else I don't get to do a lot unless it's in my own yard. When school starts up, these are something that I might think about. Football, I prefer just a punter. I've met few people who can punt better than me which gives me a chance of actually making the team. Track, I'm all about short distance. I have little endurance and I refuse to try and leap over anything higher than my thigh.

I currently play Rugby League, have been for as long as I can remember. I used to play Cricket, but I dropped out, I have no idea why, I wish I was still playing.

I have a very passionate interest in the car racing sport, V8 Supercars, I'd love to be in that. I've watched every race I can on tv, and any chance I get to go and see one of the races for real, I take it. I'd love to have a career as a race-car driver in the V8 Supercars, even just be in it, I'd love it. It's to do with racing and cars. Why wouldn't I?

I ran Track in high school. Mostly middle distance.

Got down to a 2:03 half mile. I might keep training just for fun and to maybe see if I can break the 2:00 marker. So far this summer all I've done is lifted weights, but there's nothing wrong with taking a break in your training, especially after four years of hard work.

I edited my man spelling errors on my first post here. I am also into bits of baseball and no football. I just have not gotten into that yet. Baseball is ok but I still beleive I will forever like basketball the most.

When I used to play this one kid would always encourage me. I didnt play willingly at first. It was a PE requirement thing. But i grew to like it.

The only sport I'm actually pretty good at is tennis. I started playing tennis when I was a sophomore in high school, and I played with my friends every year afterward. The sport's a lot more fun than it looks, trust me. I don't really care for watching it on television much, but it's very fun to play, especially with friends. I've had some incredibly entertaining tennis wars, haha. I've not played tennis in a long while, though. :(

I'm decent at plenty of other sports... I like playing football, basketball, and baseball.

Sports? I love sports! Even though I am in band (drumline), I'm really a jock at heart.
I just about love any sport you can throw at me, except basketball and anything with a racket...though hitting the ball really hard at someone is always fun. :animeswea

I guess my main and favorite sport would be soccer, since I play that for my high school team. Defense rocks! Rugby is a close second though. Anything else ties for third except the above mentioned basketball which I absolutely hate to watch and play. I'd sooner watch golf than basketball. I don't even know why I hate it that much, I played it for my middle school and all but know *sighs* Such is life.
Cheerleader!!!!!! Nuff Said
I'm afraid that by our standards that isn't enough said, Osaka. We like a bit more detail in posts here. Check out the Rules and FAQ (on the sidebar to the left), take some other people's posts as examples, and keep posting! Any problems or queries, try messaging me or one of the other moderators.

I've never been massively sporty, but I do enjoy a game of softball as long as enough people play to make it interesting (and not impossible to field...). I also practise Shintaido Bo-jutsu, a recently invented non-aggressive martial/defensive art. That's my weekly strenuous exercise, heh.

I'm not exactly an obsessive, athletic, sport's loving, jock-person, but there are some sports I am really fond of.

For one, I have always loved soccer practically since the day I was born, but I don't think I'd ever be accepted on a team for it, considering I am as bad at it as the sky is blue. :animeswea

Another sport I really like is baseball, which I used to never be into until my dad took me to a baseball game at Cinergy Field in Cincinnati before it was torn down and rebuilt recently. After seeing an actual live game I've really gotten into it, but like soccer and other sports, I like it, but I'm not god at it.

Thirdly, I'm a huge football fan, hence my hyperactively excited personality when Superbowl Sunday starts coming around. But, for the third time, I watch, not play.

Finally, the one sport I like and can play, is lacrosse. I never really knew anything about it until just this past school year when we took a P.E. unit on it, and it turns out it's actually a sport I'm good at. Sadly, the year was almost over when we took that unit, so I wasn't able to join the Girls' Lacrosse team, unless there's one where I'm living now.

Not a lot of sports listed, but they're all my favorites.

Two words: Field Hockey
I love hockey, no matter how you slice it. Street hockey, field hockey... I would try my hand.. more like feet... at ice hockey, but I just don't have the "skills" to use ice skates. >> You can only really get me to run if I am involved in that sport. Well, unless I am trying to dodge my ever famous "Squirtle Attack" (being used against me by my friend John, of course...)... then I'll run, only because I don't feel like having sticky pop sprayed all over my clothes.
ANYWAY...
Yes, field hockey... it's a shame we don't have a field hockey team in my town, I would definitely sign up. It's the only sport I enjoy and try at. Otherwise, I stay inside, pouring over a story I am writing, or a book, or a computer, or a video game... you get the point.
I guess I like swimming too, but the problem is, I can't really swim.

I play soccer aka 'football.' I've been at it for nearly a decade (makes me sound old, neh?), and it's still just as fun as when I picked it up. As my skill increases, it becomes more and more of a mental, tactics game rather than one of endurance.

I play hockey [indoor & outdoor, not ice] in a recreational style. I also enjoy playing friendly soccer, but don't play it particularly often. I enjoy rugby as well, both watching and playing. Sports are always enjoyable, and give you a sense of achievement when you do well. More people should be active ~_^

I play soccer aka 'football.' I've been at it for nearly a decade (makes me sound old, neh?)
Nah. I don't think so. A lot of my friends have been at it since they were about two or three, and they're about nineteen now. I myself have played for just as long.
As my skill increases, it becomes more and more of a mental, tactics game rather than one of endurance.
I totally agree with you. Being on defense and playing against an agressive team requires quick thinking in most situations, so yeah, it's not all about speed or endurance, that's for sure.

Soccer is one of my favorite sports of all time. I love playing defense and midfield for my teams. It feels good knowing that you can save plays and help out your offense by giving support when they need it. However, the action and local rivalries attract a lot of our peers to watch, and then this becomes a popularity contest between teams. The only good thing to this is that it brings out the more competitive side in a lot of people, making a better game.

Soccer is also a little 'laidback' compared to other sports. Players don't have anytime limit as to how long they can keep the ball on one side. Most referees will allow our age group to slide tackle, which makes me happy. :p

Don't you mean football aka 'soccer'? ^^

Nah, I don't think that makes you sound old at all; it's quite understandable to have started playing a sport like soccer when you were a kid and continue as time goes on. I'm pretty sure many who play soccer have a similar story.

When I was little I used to wonder how soccer players could keep on running the way they do and with plenty of energy.

I enjoy playing soccer for fun, although I don't do so very often. I also like watching games on TV via FSC (Fox Sports World) with my dad. He got me into that a while back and now I just casually keep up with certain teams or clubs as some are quite fun to watch.

I think soccer is still quite underrated compared to other 'popular' sports in the US. And by this I mean with Americans as a whole; it just doesn't get the same sort of devotion as it does in most other countries in the world. And it's kind of ironic because it's really the only team sport that people can get world wide recognition from with being competitive.

For example, take pro-basketball, the team that rises to the top is dubbed "World Champions", but you know, the U.S. isn't the world, right? But yeah...

I love soccer and my dad used to play it all the time when he was a kid back in his home country.

I understand the whole "America's teams aren't as well recognized as European teams" or something on those lines.

But yet soccer is recognized as the world's most popular sport. You can see why, you just need a ball and a pair of legs. Nothing big about that. I guess it just depends on what area you're in and how much of an influence soccer or any other sport has on the community.

Wouldn't be much of a Canadian if I didn't love hockey, eh? True to my nationality, I am a hockey FANATIC, I love everything about the game with the exception of the NHL, considering that, despite the end of the Lockout, they still plan on making drastic changes to make the game more apeasing to Americans (No offense, by the by) and that completely ruins it for me, and most Canadian fans. The CHL is my League of choice.

I play hockey, as well as watch it, as a defensmen, and a damn good one I'm told. Last season my team only had 17 goals againts while I was on the ice. Than again, I set the record for most penalties in a season so I wasn't on the ice as often as I, or my teammates, wanted. Great sport, good fun, very violent to appease my evil side, all good overall. Can't fathom why it needs to be changed to get Americans interesting, but than again, I don't actualy give a ****, so long as they dont try to change to the CHL or the European Elite Leagues...

Personally, I hate Football (Both European and North American) and Rugby. Most boring sports on le planet...

Man I'm really into alot of sports!
Sports are awesome overall because you can do things you can't do in the house without being screamed at.

I'm really into the hardcore sports and my mother and father really think I shouldn't be to tough because; "Your a girl... It doesn't seem right." - quote father.

But I guess I do make my parents proud. As long as I continue with passing grades I'll be allowed to play some things.

I'm going to be spending my last year in Junior High (8th grade) and I'm thinking about registering for; Lacrosse, Ice Hockey, Soccer, Track, Softball, and Tennis.
But what I love doing most of all is Karate and Skateboarding. My Sensei really gives us a workout. I just wanna be like my oldest brother, who's a black-belt martial artists.

I'm not to much of a competitive person, I'm just doing all this for the fun of it.
