Gaming Cowboy Bebop

Does anyone else remember that cowboy bebop game that they where making for the PS2? they talked about it in some of the gaming magazines and it was supposed to come out late last year but i never heard anything about it. did it not come out or was it just under the radar?

I read something that said it would be released 10/11/05. From the looks of the trailer the graphics have that 'killer 7' look to them. I wonder if it will be rated 'M'.

You shouldnt reffer to it as "killer 7" type graphics. It's called cell-shading and it's been around for years. Killer 7 would only be the latest game to use that style.

Someone asked the same thing to PSM. PSM asked the company that makes it, and they don't even know anything about it. The game was supposed to be released in March or something, wasn't it?

According to the sites I found, it'll be released October 11 by Bandai.

I actually haven't heard of this before this thread but it looks so interesting! ^^
They kept the Anime Seiyuu and tried to imitate the Anime style. This is definately going on my "to-buy" list. Though, I'm not sure, if the release date is for J, E, or U. The trailers are in full Japanese but EBgames says it'll ship on October 11.

Considering how unlucky animes are when it comes to having games based on them, I'll wait it out until I hear what critics have to say about it. Just skimming the links you've provided, I see a dissapointment waiting to happen. Then again, I don't know how both anti-grav and earthbound fighting could work in the same game... so I guess it's good that they chose one, even if it's the easy route.

Also, people are comparing it to Gungrave, but slower? Not a good sign in my opinion. I love the anime, but I'm just not very trusting of games that are based off of movies and anime.

Also, isn't there already a PS Cowboy Bebop game released in Japan? It has StarFox-like gameplay from what I've seen of it. I could be wrong, I only saw the cover and a few screenshots a while back. It'd be cool if they were the same game, I've always loved the original StarFox.

The game was originally supposed to be released October of last year, but the developers pushed it back a year, since it was uttter crap and they needed more time to work on it.
