A night like no other was upon us. Even in the darkest of corners light had shown, if only temporary, hope had been given to all in a time where faith had run thin. The birth of the Chosen One had finally occured. The most divine of all beings, the shell containing the greatest power known to both man and divine creature alike. It baffled even those of the purest faith, how a boy could harness such an immense power, or bare the weight of the world on his shoulders, for that matter. But they had been assured that this boy held the fate of Earth in his very hand, and he would be the one to decide the future of God's most beloved creatures.

However, Heaven was no place for a child such as this. He was meant to live among his people, those he was destined to save, destined to love. A life among angels would only draw him away from his true purpose. And so he was sent to Earth, to live a life just like any other. No one would know of his divine ancestry and he would be treated just as any other young boy would. However, many perils plagued the people of Earth, it was dangerous to relinquish control over such an important child to that of unpredictable humans. So the Guardians were created. Ordinary humans burdened with the weight of protecting the Chosen One. It was their job to ensure that he stayed true to all that was good and fulfilled his destiny to return Earth to it's former greatness. By saving him they would essentially save themselves, and find that the fame once desired is nothing more then an illusion created by fellow man. And as legends, they would never die. Their place in history to forever be remembered, and their destiny fulfilled even beyond ones' greatest expectations.

The Guardians, lead by the controversial Sasurai Hitorine, are of utmost importance to the Heavens and the Chosen One's perilous endeavor. No ordinary human could hope to combat the powers of evil, so each Guardian had bestowed upon them a special weapon. Each possessing the power of the Gods yet none revealing the true nature of Chosen One's beginnings. And so the Guardians gathered, one by one, to form the Divine Kinship, famed protectors of the future ruler of all that is Earth.

There I stood, outfitted in my normal clothing, yet the surroudings were far from normal. Where was I? What was this? I was in some sort of building. It was nothing like I'd ever seen. But it was far from glamorous, I was in some sort of prison. Surrounded by all types of devices of torture, yet no one was here. And then the door swung open.

"Chain the little bastard to the wall!" shouted one of the three men who entered the room with a child no older then 14. He was chained to the rough brick by the iron tyrants, while the third man stood back, watching silently. "Whats your name?!" one of them shouted, shoving him and twisting his arms to their limits. "Screw you..." mumbled the prisoner, spitting in the man's direction.

Wow was this kid a trip. As much as I, well, didn't care, it was inspiring seeing such a small kid with such a sharp tongue. But that wasn't nearly the end.

A whip cracked, black leather caressing the child's back and creating an instant welt which soon bled the liquid of the famed Chosen One. "I suggest you start talking, or it will only get worse," spoke the third man for the first time since they'd entered the room. "I've got nothing to say!" shouted the kid back at that men, another crack of the whip interrupting his plea. "Leave him down here until he's changed his mind," spoke the the man once again, and motioning for the other two as he left the room.

It was weird. I didn't know the kid, not at all. But I felt some sort of connection to him. When he was struck, I could feel the pain in my back. It lacked the identical welts but the pain was definitely there. What was this? What am I seeing? Didn't have much time to think about it though, cause then I woke up.

Sasurai leapt from his bed after an abrupt wake-up call. "What the hell was that?" he mumbled to himself, scratching his forehead. With all the commotion he failed to notice another man in the room, dressed in a flowing white garb, a beard of the identical ivory color covering his lower face. "Who the hell are you?" asked Sasurai, reaching for his swords. "Calm down, I've brought you a message," spoke the old man. "The vision you just had, was no ordinary dream. The boy is Fuki, you'll be calling him master soon enough."

Sasurai looked at him curiously. "Whoa whoa whoa, I don't call anyone master. I think you've got the wrong guy," he said, laughing nervously. The old man shook his head, "No, you are exactly who I've been searching for..."

Explanation
The past has been corrupted, and faith has run thin. All of the current area in feudal Japan has been overtaken, and all of it's people, enslaved by an evil lord, the man from the dream, Lord Takanaka. He has absolute power, or so he thought. Until he caught word of the Chosen One, a small boy supposedly holding the greatest power ever created. The boy is destined to be the ruler of the Earth, however, Takanaka will not stand for this and has captured the boy. He is currently being tortured and questioned for information pertaining to his great power. However, the fight is not lost just yet.

Guardians are being awoken, and the Divine Kinship is soon to be born. A group of choice humans selected to protect the Chosen One, and in this case, rescue him. The legendary weapons are being envoked as we speak. Various arms scattered across Earth and obtained by those worthy of weilding the true weapons of God. Each one, however, acts on it's own. The weapon chooses it's capter and only that person has the ability to use the weapon to it's full potential. Even the creator has no power over the decisions they've made, but he has the utmost of faith in each of the people chosen to form the great Divine Kinship.

Time is of the essence, a new dark era has shown it's intentions, and although the dark lord Takanaka's motives are unknown, he possesses a great power, a threat to even the Chosen One upon retrieving certain information. Each Guardian is bonded to the Chosen One, refusal to participate will only make things harder, and if he dies, they die. Sasurai is the closest to the boy since he is leader of the Kinship, he will begin to feel the boys pain, the burden of each plea will echo through his mind. The rest of the Guardians will soon suffer the same fate, each person haunted by the thoughts of a dying boy, unknowledgable of just how important he truly is.

Your Sign-Up
You will be playing a Guardian, a member of the Divine Kinship and one of the people responsible for the retrieval of the Chosen One from the dark clutches of Lord Takanaka. You may be from anywhere, as I said before the weapons of faith were scattered all throughout the world. However, when the story begins we will all meet in the same place, feudal Japan, the center of the story's setting. My character, Sasurai, resides there, and he is in the same situation as all of you. He knew nothing of this boy and nothing of the Divine Kinship, but he has reluctantly accepted his duty and so must all of you. I'll be asking for the following details concerning your character.

Character
Name: (Partial to whichever place you hail from)
Age: (I'm not very particular about this, choose whatever you like)
Gender: (Self-explanitory)
Appearance: (A picture, detailed description, or both. I'll be doing both to give the most specific description I can)
Personality: (Pretty wide range of possibilities here. You know the drill, try to vary a bit from stereotypical characters if it's possible)

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics: (Picture, detailed description, or both. It can also be in the picture of your character as well. Your weapon can be anything really. From a sword, to a mace, to spear, even a divine bow. No guns, but I'm sure you guys can deal with that. These weapons resemble ordinary ones at first, but after their spirit is awoken they take on a more flashy appearance, feel free to describe both or just after the transition)
Technique: (This is merely your form of weilding the weapon you possess. My character uses two swords each of identical length. I call this the Twin Dragon technique, having both it's pros and cons but an overall solid fighting power. Choose whatever name you like and describe it a bit)
Weapon Power: (Each weapon is unique and different in it's own way. They've been forged each with different purposes, so what does your's do? Extend to unmentionable lengths? Manipulate air to your advantage or simply offer a little extra speed when fighting? This will also influence your technique)

History
Bio: (I don't need an indepth biography or anything, just simply a little about your past. Feel free to leave mysteries or loopholes as you see fit for the rest of us to find out later, or never find out, depending on the difficulty. I find that characters work well together when a lot is known about each one, allowing for easier interaction)
Character Snippet: (Feel free to do anything here. Merely an example of your writing. I know most of you and I'm sure I already have a good idea, but don't worry, have some fun with it)

Final Thoughts
I'll be posting my character after a few others have been posted, merely for something different, since I usually post my character before. I want the sign-ups to be free ranged, open up your mind a bit. I won't be putting up an Underground thread as of now, but when we begin I definitely will with additional information and such concerning the RP. I expect active posters and people who wish to have some fun and add something new to the story I've developed. It took quite awhile to actually finish and I hope you guys like the end result.

Thanks to...
-Imi for the amazing background and help with the title, shes awesome.
-Everyone who helped with the story, it's greatly appreciated.

Appearance/Weapon Specifics: Bow and arrows... you should know what that looks like.

Technique:

--Flying Arrows--
It looks like she's shooting one arrow but when it flies out she's shoot three.. no wait! There's more! This helps the opponent get distracted while fighting. It may or may not be an illusion so you better watch out!

Weapon Power: Instead of reaching to her back to get arrows, it magically appears out to her hand making it easier for her.

Bio: Riah grew up in a small village where everyone is friendly with everyone. Riah had two older brothers and a younger sister.

An accident had occur on one day, Riah was look upon a beautiful waterfall on the edge of a cliff. She loved to draw and paint. She sketched the beautiful waterfall and once she was finished somebody knocked her down. She screamed with her might and never knew who the person was. She drowned in the lake.

Someone rescued her. She didn't know who that person was but he or she saved her life. She wanted to thank that person but she fainted.

But all she said was, "Who are you? You know me?"

Character Snippet: (I'm putting this in first person if you don't mind.)

A lady(mother) who stood in front panicked, "What?! You don't know me?!"

"No.." I responded looking a little confused.

"Dear, calm down." A man(father) stood by the lady and patted her back.

They must be married..

"Who are you?" I looked at a boy(brother) who was about a year or two older than me.

"I'm Lee. What's your name?" He asked me.

"I'm Riah." I smiled.

He smiled back. "This is my brother, JinYoo and my sister, Minori."

I looked at them. I smiled and then peered at them closer.

They seemed oddly familiar to me but I couldn't quite put my finger to it.

"Brother!!" The little girl known as Minori tugged at Lee's sleeve and asked, "Why doesn't sister know who I am?!?!"

Sister?? Since when did I have a sister.

Flashbacks soon popped into my head.

Minori was there.

"Come on!" I shouted. It looked like I was in the water.

"No. I'm gonna drown!!" She whined.

"Here! I'll hold you."

"No."

"Please! I promise I won't let you go." I held my arms out.

She pondered for a moment and then nodded her head. "Okay!!"

We splashed around and we were having a great time.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

That was odd.. she's my sister? And so they're my brothers? Why don't I remember?

So we can have fun with this? Seriously? All right! ^_^

***
Name: Senka Hjorrdis
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: Click.
Oh, I am well-aware that the person in the picture is a boy, not a girl. But I seem to like making my female characters very un-girly. That, and I have a thing for chains. ^^;;
Personality: As mentioned above, Senka is a tomboy, thorugh and through. In battle her personality is usually rough, tough, and very jagged, ready to bite the head off of the next thing that tries to bug her. Otherwise, she's very laid back, loving to joke and lighten up unnaturally moody atmospheres. Therefore, she is prone to being hated and viewed as "childish" by those who set up the angsty situations.
Still, even in relaxation mode, Senka is still sharp-tongued, and become quite moody when somebody barks out orders. (Ouch. She isn't going to like being led by somebody.)

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics: Kodachi Swords (Click!) The handles are black, but the light reflected off is more of a blue-silver. Also, when the kodachi is in "tube" form, it makes for a very handy, light-weight club.
Technique: Jigen-ryu - a style used in the manga version of Rurouni Kenshin. It's based on one-handed draws and cuts, which is good, seeing as how Senka typically has two swords. Jigen-ryu also mixes in a lot of turns and pivits.
Weapon Power: The one drawback (to Senka) of the kodachi is how short the actual blades are - shorter than a standard school ruler at 11.5 inches. Luckily for her, the blades can extend to the length of a standard katana (no horribly bad pun intended, my friends) on a split-second whim. Handy when she feels like shish-ka-bobbing opponents.

History

Bio: Senka grew up in a bustling city with two older brothers and two older sisters. Because her closest sibling was her two-years-older brother Yuro, Senka learned about the boys' side of the world than the girls' (probably about 55/45, really). Her eldest brother, Kaittu, started teaching her the art of swords when she was eight. Although far apart in age (he was teaching her at the age of 15), the two were undoubtly close.
When Senka was ten, Kaittu was called off to fight in a bloody but short-lived war. (650,000 dead within the span of two months.) Unfortunately, he was one of the many to perish at the young age of 17. Since then, Senka vowed to live both her life and her brother's, which was when her appearance because nearly indistinguishable between male and female.

Character Snippet:
Bare feet punched the ground as they ran. Heavy breathing. Heart pounding. I reached out my hand and -
"TAG! YOU'RE IT!" I hollared at Yuro, snatching his collar. Immediately, we both collapsed onto the ground, panting.
"Okay, fine, I'll show you," he huffed out.
"No lie this time? You will seriously, honestly show me?"
"Yeah yeah, I will. You've gotten pretty damn quick since the last time we ran like this."
"Yep," was my succient reply.
My eyes were scanning the sky above, splattered with the puffy white clouds. It was sometime in the late morning, because we had yet to eat lunch. Any minute now...
"YURO! SENKA! Come in the house!"
The two of us sat up in an instant, grinning at each other. We bolted for the house, racing yet again. Yuro won this time.
"Sit...sit down," my mother told us, and we obeyed quickly, plopping down on the wooden bench designated for me, Yuro, and Kaittu at meal times.
Within moments of sitting, I knew something was wrong. There was no smell of food, not even bread baking. Mother turned to face us, her eyes red and puffy, tears streaking down her face.
"Kaittu is...Kaittu is..."
But I knew what she was saying before she spoke the word.
"...dead."
"Oh...Mother!" Yuro bolted up as our mother broke out in sobs again. He hugged her tightly, not even loosening his grip after several minutes.
But I sat there on the bench, a blank exression on my face. Kaittu...dead? The words were so far off and didn't seem possible. Death didn't happen to me. It happened to my friend's family, not ours. It was one of the last things I thought could ever happen.
Without a word, I stood up and quietly walked outside again. My feet automatically carried me to the small patch at the side of our house where Kaittu had taught me the art of swords. There, laying on top of the pratice stick, was his ripped up and dirt-streaked tunic, smeared with rusty patches of blood. I sat down, my stomach churning with fire and dread. Slowly, I picked up the tunic and pressed it on my face. His smell still lingered there, the familiar scent I knew only as Kaittu.
" - AND THAT BLOODY SISTER OF YOURS WON'T EVEN BREAK A TEAR!"
But I am, Mother... I thought as my tears soaked the tunic of my brother that would never return.

Name- Tomoya Yujin Woo (Family Name, Given Name, Second Family Name)
Age- 28
Gender- Male

Appearance- Tomoya Yujin Woo
A rebellious person is what people would think of him at first glance, having a punkish look to him. People would think him too be a bit isolated and keep their distant because of the way he looks, when in fact, Tomoya is someone who does not congregate with such faux personas. He has been wearing that type of attire since he had been out on the streest. Unlike the people who wear the fake urban styled clothes that come from rich companies, Tomoya's clothes were his own and authentic. Other than the fact that Tomoya wears a black leather jacket with black pants, black gloves, and black shoes, Tomoya is a fairly well-groomed and good-looking guy.

Tomoya stands at about 6 feet and weighs at 160 lbs. He is slightly muscular yet doesn't flaunt it as if it were his only trait.

Other than that, Tomoya can be seen riding on a Yamaha YZF-R6 with his gloves on his hands.

Personality- Tomoya is the type of person who would rather sit alone in his thought, watching the inner beauty around him in a world filled with hatred, sin, and destruction. He is someone who likes to speak when he wants to and has an open ear, as well as an open eye and mind to all that is around him. He is not the seemingly asocial and apathetic person that everyone points him out to be but more of a complex and enigmatic person who keeps people second-guessing.

Sometimes, Tomoya is quite the unpredictable character who is calm, cool, and collected. He is a suave person with a sharp tongue and a quick wit. He is someone who lets nothing stand in his way, not even a leader, but he respects those who deserve it. He also is somewhat of a lady?s man and an old-fashioned guy when it comes to romance.

But should it come down to it, Tomoya is all together a man of honor, integrity, and bold attempts, living through a life of death-defying acts and living each moment as if it were his last. Albeit, he has a tendency to fight those who challenge him or lay a hand upon anyone he loves. He is someone who has many hidden secrets and thoughts that he keeps to himself but when it comes down to it, he is one of the most reliable and responsible people that God himself may have created.

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics- Tomoya carries around a pair of Clawed Gloves that have a durable and seamless deerskin palm and a moisture wicking nylon back, as well as three metalline holes for the titanium claws that extend from the inside of the gloves. On the back of the gloves is a circular insignia that soon turns into the face of Chimera.

After a while, when the claws? spirit awakens, the gloves will taken on the appearance of a medieval gauntlet with the Chimera insignia fully shown. The claws, itself, become a bit more elegant with a decorous design on the blades and are made of a strange metal.

Technique- Gokeiken is the technique that Tomoya uses. It is also called the Wu Xing Fist, as well as the Five Form Fist. The Five Forms of this technique are the Dragon, Snake, Tiger, Crane, and Leopard. Each form has its own power and skill that can benefit and collaborate with each other, as well as with each form comes the insignia of the animal its form or forms take.

Weapon Power- The full extent of the Gokeiken is incredible and extremely unorthodox. Tomoya is able to call upon Chimera, which then pours its spirit into the gauntlets and creates a full body armor that is light and almost untouchable. The claws on his gauntlets have a power that have random powers that have different effects to them. It is the most unpredictable weapon known.

History
Bio- Tomoya Yujin Woo, that is what they call me. I?m not sure where I cam from or who I came from but I know where I?m from and where I'm going for it doesn?t matter to me that I have not a single thread of knowledge of whoever birthed me, all I know is that my adopted family has led in the right direction, allowing me to find my path and follow through. They have helped me through hardships and downfalls, even when I was at my weakest, even then they were still with me.

My adopted father and mother were both of Japanese descent and knew that I had Japanese blood within me but what they didn?t know was that I had Korean blood in me as well. They didn?t know much about me because they had taken me in when I was severely beat and carrying a smaller child in my arms. They had found in their hearts, pity and sorrow. In those times, people didn?t even have the heart to give money to the poor, let alone take in two abandoned and homeless children.

I was only nine, you see, and my younger sister was merely six when this had all happened. I don?t remember much before but I do know that I was taken in and since then I had been grateful, though I did fall at times, getting into fights in school and out of school. It wasn?t easy when you were the result of a bastard child in Japan, as some would put it. It wasn?t easy at all but the people that love me had helped me through it and are still with me.

After some years, a strange man appeared before and handed me a box. Within that box were a pair of gloves and they had three holes in them. It was puzzled as to know what they were but once I slid them on, my question had been answered but many still arise. I knew that the gloves had meant something but I wasn?t sure and even till this day, I await the answers.

Character Snippet- Darkness. A beautiful this, it is. Everything moves quicker at night, knowing that the light would soon come and reveal them for who they are. I also move in the night, amongst the shadows, but the difference between me and the others is that I have already been revealed for who I am and I do not fear it.

?Welcome back, Tomoya. How is the family fairing??

?They?re well. What is it that you want me to do??

Behind the table was a man by the name of Lord Dokuja, a man well-known for his venomous ways, striking those who seem unworthy of serving him or allying with. He is a man that all is threatened by and fear the most but there is only one man who does not fear him, yet challenges him. That man is Tomoya Yujin Woo.

Lord Dokuja threw a folder onto the table and it slid towards Tomoya, who stopped it and opened the manila folder, reading the content within it. It appealed to Tomoya and interested him enough to question Lord Dokuja, which many do not do. If one would have questioned Dokuja, they would have been dead on the spot but Tomoya is different, he always has been.

?Will you be able to do the job or should I ask for someone else??

?Sending someone else would require someone with a brain and we all know that most of your ?people? do not have one or have very little of it.? Closing the folder and giving it back to Dokuja, Tomoya stood. ?This will do, Dokuja. It?ll be less than twenty-four hours when I finish, I suggest you don?t wait up. I may want to have a little fun afterwards, but I still want the money, understood??

Chuckling, Dokuja nodded and Tomoya bowed and left. He knew that this was a job unlikely of him but it was a job nonetheless. If someone had overheard his conversation with Dokuja, they may have believed him to be either a hitman, dealer, or even a thief but Tomoya is, in fact, what someone would call a transporter, deliverer, and destroyer. All in all, he is the one man no would dare mess with, unless they had a death wish.

The starting of a motorcycle was heard and Tomoya could be seen riding off down the street in the middle of the night. He then arrived in front of a large building, he guessed that it was an office that was either used as a law firm or even a business enterprise.

Upon entering, the person he thought he was to take the item from was not a man but a woman. She was tall with slender legs and a beautiful frame. She had gorgeous green eyes and vivacious brown hair. At once, Tomoya knew that she was from the States but he did not know that she spoke japanese fluently.

?Konbanwa, Tomoya-dono. O genki desu ka?? The woman was formal and polite, a bit too nice.

?Hai, genki desu. Sumimasen, anata wa eigo o hanashimasu ka?? Instead of speaking Japanese, Tomoya thought it was best for the two to speak English.

?In fact, I do. I?m guessing that you're here for the Golden Snake that Lord Dokuja wants you to take to him. Wait here a moment, please. I?ll bring it to you.?

As the woman walked away, Tomoya couldn?t help but notice that she had a strange tattoo on her wrist. It was the sign of the Russian mafia that Lord Dokuja most dearly despised. Tomoya wasn?t worried nor did he feel the need to run away. He merely stayed in his place and awaited until the woman returned with the golden snake. She presented it to him and showed him that there were no flaws but, like the smart shopper he was, Tomoya held it over the lamp and waited. Not a drop of gold fell onto the light bulb and he was satisfied.

?Pleasure doing business with you, ma?am.? He walked away but before he left the room, Tomoya turned to the woman. ?By the way, I suggest you hide that tattoo somehow. It?s unappealing to know that you are giving this snake, though it is a fake, to a man who would kill any of your men in a split second and that you work for the man that he loathes so much. Without further ado, I leave you. Have a wonderful evening.?

Smirking, Tomoya left with the snake and another item not on the list. It was valuable to the woman and the Datrovsky mafia but they would never know who had taken it.

OOC: I'll finish the rest as soon as I can, let me know if I should change anything.
EDIT: Complete! I may change the Bio if I feel like it.

Character
Name: Sakura Hiwatari
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Appearance: Here, she wears a pale blue robe-like top with white hemmings and navy blue pants.
Personality: Sakura's a determined person who has gone through many hardships in life. She has overcome each and feels she can accomplish anything that she sets her mind to. She's awfully stubborn and usually gets her way eventually after putting up a strong argument.

She's a quiet person, more introverted than most, only talking a lot when she's comfortable, though she will voice what she thinks at anytime.

Sakura doesn't accept love anymore and prefers to be cold, her reasoning is that she won't get hurt if she doesn't let anyone into her heart.

A single glare from her can ward away many and she wields power in her tone and words. Everyone in the Hiwatari clan respects her and will protect her at any cost, and she will do the same for them.

Weapon of Faith

Technique: Curse of the Storm
She draws in the air a series of ancient symbols, and depending on which combination she uses, a different kind of storm attack will form, including anywhere from rain, thunder, lightning, to cyclones, floods, tornados.
Weapon Power: Helps allow her to manipulate the weather, though she can still use her attack without it, simply drawing with her fingers, just its enhanced and she can use more attacks more frequently and stronger, since the Glaive has energy stored within it.

History
Bio: Sakura was born into a quite famous clan, the Hiwataris, and since they were famous, they also had a fair share of enemies, many that wanted them dead.

Sakura was only 9 when the terrible incident befell her and her parents. She had gone off to school for the day, and when she returned, the area that the clan owned was buzzing as it usually did, but not in a loud way, more of a quiet, hushed whispers way. As she walked past each of them, they looked at her with a strange gaze that she didn't recognise, some faking smiles. She was afraid and walked through, heading toward the back where her house was, as her father was the current head of the clan. She got home and called out a greeting, with nothing in reply, while usually her mother replied.

Sakura walked up to her parents' bedroom and peeked in, wondering if they were just asleep. She was shocked when she found them on the floor, surrounded by blood. She pushed open the doors and ran in, crouching beside the bodies. She pounded her fists on the wooden floors, sobbing loudly. She didn't stop until nightfall, when some men came and took the bodies away, looking at her sadly.

Sakura was picked up by her mother's sister, which was her favourite aunt that lived in the clan area. She was taken home and fed. Then Sakura asked boldly why no one noticed anything. Her aunt hesitated, but admitted that they had all been too afraid, since most of the men were out working, and a group of their arch-rivals came, all being assassins.

Sakura was saddened and lived her school years with her aunt, but everyone noticed that she was more of a hollow shell, than the lively girl she had been previously. Sakura was never the same and she, as everyone else in the clan, picked up weapons and martial arts, also taking gymnastics. She became a workaholic and never went out for leisure. When she was questioned about it, she said doing work and practising her weapons, martial arts and gymnastics was her leisure time.

When she turned 18, she moved back to her old home, she owns the house since she inherited it and she's become the best fighter in the clan, better than all of the men. She became the clan leader when she was 18, since there was no one better than her. Sakura has never loved anyone since the death of her parents, everyone's opinion is that the death of her parents took a lot out of her, all the childhood that had been in her left, and she became an adult, at the age of 9.

Sakura's the youngest clan leader in their history yet everyone respects her, including all of the men, her parents were well respected and loved, and all were sad that they died. None more than their little girl that was left behind.

Character Snippet: Sakura sat cross-legged on the wooden floorboards, her hands rested on her knees and her eyes were gently shut. She took in a deep breath, counting to seven, then she held her breath to seven, and exhaled gently to the count of seven. She repeated it over and over. The large house was silent, and she sat in the centre of the training room. After an hour she opened her eyes, revealing dark brown pools.

Sakura stood and stretched her body, limbering herself for a session of training. After stretching she went over to the wall on her right, unlocking and entering the door that stood there. Sakura looked around the small room, it was full of different weapons. She selected a broadsword, basket-hilt rapier, and a staff before reaching into a set of drawers along the bottom, there were sets of weights that could be tied onto arms and legs. She pulled out some heavy weights and exited.

Sakura rested the weapons on the ground and put the weights on, taking some time to adust to the extra pressure. She did some drills with each of the weapons, working up a sweat. She moved quickly, making the blade look like a silver blur as it flashed through the air.

After 3 hours, Sakura stopped because she heard someone knock quietly at the door. She had good senses, having an incredible sense of hearing, smell, sight, strength and speed.

She put the broadsword down and walked through the house to the door, grabbing a towel on her way and wiping away the sweat. She opened the door and saw one of the clan members with a panicked look. She asked him what the problem was, and he explained there was a group of raiders. Sakura's face became an image of coldness. She threw the towel onto the table and invited the man in quickly, hurriedly pulling off the weights. She retrieved her glaive, a bow and quiver of arrows axnd a bag of shuriken and kunai. The two of them left in a hurry, Sakura was angry, no one messed with the Hiwatari clan and got away alive. No one.

Appearance/Weapon Specifics: Normal - Shadow Blade (see attachment)
Awoken Spirit - Kagejin

Technique: Kage Strike - As the name of the attack is translated into "Shadow Strike," that is exactly what it is. Several shadows of the user are created as what at first seem to be illusory copies. However, even though the bodies are not real, the damage from the swords that they wield are.

Weapon Power: The weapon is made to allow the user to move quickly, making the illusion of a shadow of him/herself appear as he/she moves. This sword also uses shadows to camoflauge its user into the shadows.

History
Bio: Kayin was born into a normal sized family comprised of his parents and twin sister, Kristen. It had been fairly peaceful until Kayin turned 10....when his life took a turn for the worst.

An infamous clan of ninja had attacked Kayin's villiage. Kayin's parents hid Kristen and himself before the ninjas had arrived at their house, where from the closet Kayin watched as his parents were easily slain. He didn't let Kristen see but couldn't look away himself. Times were fairly hard for two orphans to live on their own. They both took on whatever small jobs they could find for a few years.

As Kayin went on in life, however, all he could think about were the ninja who killed his parents. His blood boiled and his eyes welled everytime he thought about it. He made a decision upon turning twelve. He told his sister that he would become a ninja, one that would be stronger than the ones who took their parents away. He figured to defeat the enemy it would be best to become like the enemy. Kayin wasn't alone in this decision for Kristen decided to do the same.

They had both turned 13 at the time they enrolled into the separate ninjitsu academies. Kayin trained hard everyday he was there, even outside of his lessons, never giving up, never giving into fatigue. He was slowly but surely making his way into the higher ranks of the shinobi.

By the time Kayin had turned 19, he had graduated every lesson, mastered every technique and overcame his goals. As he bowed his head to his Sensei, he walked out the door with the infamous Shadow Blade beneath his sash. A year later he found that Kristen had graduated as well and they set out after the two ninja who had killed their parents, only to find that someone had gotten them first. It was good to know that someone had avenged their parents...even if it wasn't them.

Character Snippet: The sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard over and over again from the forest. The force of each strike could be heard, echoing all the way into the villiage. Two shadowy figures clashed once more before jumping backward at a stand off. "So they taught you a lot huh sis?" Kayin said holding his sword in an underhand stance.

Kristen nodded, holding her quarterstaff across her body diagonally. "Yup...And it looks like you've learned a thing or two." Kristen slid the hidden sword out of her staff as she darted at Kayin, lashing out at him. Kayin blocked her attack and pushed her sword to the side, barely evading the strike from her staff.

Both Kayin and Kristen stepped back and then dashed at each other head on and came to a stop. Each of them stood looking eye to eye...each with a blade at their necks. They both smiled at each other and put their swords away. "Good session, Kristen." Kayin said with a smile. "Your technique is really good."

Kristen nodded, "So is yours." They walked through the forest to the villiage, side-by-side. Kristen looked over at Kayin, "Kayin....do you think that we could've beaten those ninja who killed mom and dad?" She had a frown on her face as she looked to the ground.

Kayin smiled over at her, "Sis....they wouldn't have stood a chance against us...."

This looks VERY promising. Something definitely worthwhile. *Claps* Congrats Kamuro.

Character
Name: Phineas (Surname Unknown)

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance: See Attachment

Personality: Phineas actually has two personalities.

1) Phineas can be generally serious, and doesn't joke a lot. He in fact, doesn't like to joke and gets straight to the point. However, in being so serious, he is most likely first to put his life on the line for his comrades and Fuki. He feels that he could die with honor in doing so.

2) The other side of Phineas can be rather bloodthirsty and in the fighting sense, sadistic. He will stop at nothing to eliminate his opponents, and this can sometimes drive him to the brink of insanity, where he would be practiacally unable to distinguish friend from foe. However, Phineas has never gotten as far as being unable to recognize his comrades. The only way to unlock this side of Phineas is when he is in battle and one of his comrades in in trouble, or if he is severely outnumbered.

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics:
Phineas' Weapon This version of the Rapier is a little heavier, and slows Phineas down. However, it packs a heavier blow.
The True Form The hilt changes color to black, the metal becomes lighter, allowing Phineas better handling and accuracy.

Technique: The Weaving Sparrow

Phineas, with the sword in either form, will weave through his opponents. He never stays in one spot and the sword never stops moving. It is fortunate that Phineas has a lot of stamina, because otherwise, he would have to find a different technique.

Weapon Power: As mentioned before, in it's true form, the sword feels almost weightless and allows Phineas to move faster while fighting.

History

Bio: Phineas was born into one of the noble families of Egypt, and while he was raised by his family with the typical love and care, his family knew that there was something different about him. Not just by the color of his skin, which is uncommonly light, but also by the aura that surrounds him.

His family knew that he would be destined to do great things, and so they kept Phineas well protected, which is the main reason for his personality.

Character Snippet:

I was sent on a journey to retrieve something across the desert for the Prince of the Royal Family. However, when I stumbled across an unknown temple of strange arcitecture in the middle of the night, I decided to venture inside.

It was deserted, and the markings inside were different than I had seen before. I did not know of the gods that this temple was buit in honor of, for it did not depict Ra, Anubis, or any other Egyptian god. Instead, there was a mural of a man in battle, being outnumbered by several men whom I could tell were evil. He held a strange sword that glowed with a heavenly light.

I walked closer and looked closer at this painting that sucked me in. As I went to touch the wall, I heard a loud clang coming from the center of the room and a bright light emerged. I shielded my eyes and turned around.

"Do not fear me, Phineas, for I am here to deliver a message." A booming voice said.
"Have the gods come to speak to me?" I asked myself.
"I am not one of your gods." The light began to dim, and it revealed a man in white robes standing in the center of the room. "I am merely a messenger."
"From another world?" I continued my inquisition.
"Never mind that, Phineas. I am unimportant to you. There are other issues to discuss." He replied. "There is a boy in a land from far, far, away. And he needs your help. His name is Fuki, and you have been selected to save him."
"What is this land that you speak of?"
"A land that can only be reached by traveling far to the east. You need to leave your home as soon as possible."
"But how-?"
"There are others that have been selected as well. They are all traveling to find the boy, you must make haste Phineas. Leave now, do not wait and say goodbye to your family."
"Why not?"
"You are destined to do great things Phineas, you have no time to say goodbye to your loved ones."
"So, what about this mural?" I pointed behind me.
"That is you."
"That is me?"
"Yes. And this..." A glowing sword appeared on the floor, which would explain the clang, appeared. "Will be your companion. This is the sword of your ancestors, and I know you will use it well."

OOC: I hope that everything's in order, Kamuro. If you need me to change anything, just let me know.

Wow. Nice RPG -- I'm in, and I hope you accept me.

Basics
Name: Rafael de Machiavelli

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance: [link] He has brown hair and hazel eyes, and wears light, loose-fitting fabric imported from Egypt. He usually wears exotic pants and long-sleeve shirts that breathe well to get rid of excess heat. It is not surprising to never see him wear the same outfit twice, as his wardrobe is expansive, and Rafael loves to don new apparel.

Personality: Rafael is from a very rich area, and thusly can appreciate art in any form. It also has formed him to become a creative individual all around. He approaches problems from many angles, and thinks from different perspectives. In the company of friends, he is very sociable and happy, but with strangers he tends to quiet down more, sit back, and watch things. It is a difficult task to accomplish, as Rafael is a temperate man, but when you upset him, he becomes sarcastic and unaccomodating to those who anger him.

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics: (rapier at left hip, daggers on right hip) [link]

Technique: The Épée (franco-italian style) stresses the delicacy of movement and accuracy of point, achieved with a minimum of force. The almost straight grip allows the greatest freedom of movement of the fingers... Footwork is light and catlike. Guards and parries are very close, and to this end the arm in the guard position is generally more bent than in the other schools. The dagger is employed to ensare the opponent's sword, so as to leave them open to a thrust by the rapier. Rafael does not have lightening-fast thrusts, but can hold is own with the fastest duelists with his unparalleled reflexes.

Weapon Power: Rafael's rapier is charged with high-voltage electricity, which can easily run down his opponent's blade and deliever a painful shock. In rare circumstances, when the blade's direction is changed suddenly, the current will jump off the blade and move towards the opponent's body. Of course, this technique does nothing to affect him.

History
Bio: Rafael was born in Venice, and raised in Rome. His father was a senator, and his family was wealthy. As a child, he was taught fencing by private instructors, and in his free time he went to museums and bid on outrageously priced art. The walls of his family's mansion are adorned with it, as well as a few of his own. Fencing removed his pretty-boy side, afraid of pain and uncleanliness. However, his mother instilled an air of gentleness and calm on him. Rafael was highly attached to his mother, and seeks kind people who remind him of her. He is constantly reminded of her through a small ruby amulet, encrusted in silver.

Rafael's sword was forged by himself after completeing his training in Rome, and as a result, means alot to him. Only the best smiths were called to help him in the forging of his powerful rapier, Giusto. The blade is made of specially-tempered, highly-conductive steel, and his family crest is engrained near the hilt. His dagger and knives were created in an identical manner; superior craftsmanship and infinite patience.

Character Snippet:
"Father, this one!" The boy was young, and his voice laden with childish faith and innocence. Of course a child would be excited at the sight of Italy's best candy, and even most exciting was the prospect of it being his own within a few moments.

"Hm? I don't think so... candy makes boys weaker fencers," he toyed with his son in a joking tone, trying to sway his decision. A woman grinned at Rafael, and patted her son on the head.

"Mother, can you tell Father to let me have that rock-candy?" Her face went soft, looking at her only child pouting for candy. Her child, no older than 5 years, asking for only one more luxury. The dilemma was great, but servitude to her husband trumped her sympathy. Rafael's eyes dropped upon hearing her next sentence.

"No, honey. We're here to get you a practicing foil," Rafael remained unsatisfied with her explaination, but she continued, attempting to sway her small child's mind from stubbornness. "Then you can practice with your father, and soon you could even beat the big boys!"

Taking the time to think over the enticing proposition, he noticed a bee swimming through the summer air, thick with humidity. He idly shot out his hand, capturing it within his index and thumb fingers. It squirmed, fearful of its death; Rafael let go of it, though. The bee darted out of his grasp, flying away from him. His mother shook him back to reality.

"So, what do you say?" She grinned, warmly looking into his eyes.

"I can beat the big boys with practice? Do you promise?" He sounded hopeful.

"Yes! Of course you can! And your father will teach you how. Now, let's go." His father nodded reassuringly, confirming with his son he would indeed train him, and the family set off together. It was not long before Rafael was led into a swordsmith's store, the storekeeper gleefully looking at his rich family. They would be perfect for making money.

"Oh! Welcome, do come in!" he heartily said, shaking hands with his parents. They walked down the aisles of training weapons, inspecting each foil to see if it would be right for Rafael. Oh! What's that for? Looks fearsome. Could probably even kill father in one blow! Hmm... what's that? A real rapier. The ones men wear. And... that. His small eyes rested upon a training rapier, the correct size for him. His parents and the storekeeper were huddled around it, and his focus on the conversation came and went.

"...very light."

"Good. But is it the...."

"Yes... and... best metal..."

"We'll take it. And a scabbard... belt?"

It was hard to listen, voiced echoed all around the dimly lit, small shop. Other people browsed the fine wares, tried things on, and sometimes even briefly testing it with a stab into a wooden counter. The conversation became more audible went they made their way back towards Rafael, who stood staring pensively at the rapier. He had realized that it was now his profession. He could not be a painter, an architect or a sculptor. He was now denied the right to become a carpenter, or a scientist or a silversmith if it were his field of interest. His family had sold him into swordplay without his consent, and he was slave to the profession as he watched the gold coins change hands. With their hollow clatter went his choice.

"Here you are! Oh it looks perfect for my knight in shining armor!" His father smiled, mussing up his hair as his mother attached the rapier and scabbard onto his waist. It was a perfect fit, and any other boy would be happy for such an excellent gift. They moved out of the crowded area into a relatively empty plaza, where his parents questioned his silence. He did not directly reply.

"Mother, can I be a painter when I grow up? I love it," his voice grew weaker, as he anticipated his crushing response. "I mean, I don't have to learn swords do I? Do I, Father?"

"But swordplay is noble! Swordplay has been in our family for generations, and every man of our family has become great with it. So will you, if you train hard," his father said. He gave a faint smile, realizing he could not beguile his son from the immediate sadness.

"You should consider it an honor to be able to duel with others, rather than having to work for a living. Many other people would die to be you, honey."

"But... I don't want to..." He sniffed, tears welling in his eyes as he fought the sadness back. His immature mind could not cope with the concept of forever, and as a result did not fully grasp the magnitude of his next sentence. "But I must... right, Father? I will don a rapier forever, just for you!" He cried even harder, wanting to use a brush rather than a blade, but he wanted to choose. So he chose the only path allowed to him. The way of the sword.

The Basics

Name: (Surname, given name) Shichishito Hauken

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Appearance: Hauken.

Personality: Hauken isn't what he should be, after the loss of his parents. Most kids at his age when they had died, would of grieved uncontrollably. He acknoledged that they had passed on, showed remorse, and then continued with every day life. I suppose you could say, in short, that he's a massive storage of energy shoved into a human body. Jumpy, and can't sit still for long, this young but impressive swordsman has show remarkable courage in the face of death.

Hauken, can on one occasion, become very serious. If one of his comerades are hurt or in danger, he will take the blow for them without a second thought. And after they get over the intial stun, then the stun that he most likely survived relatively unscathed, he gets the message across. Yah can't go dyin' on me yet!

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics: Hauken in action. Hauken's weapon, Hyourinmaru, is a large katana, larger than his own body. The guard is in the shape of a star, the blade jagged, but very sharp. Hyourinmaru means Ice Ring.

Technique: Hauken has fashioned his own style of fighting. Combining the large size of Hyourinmaru, and his own strength and speed, he manages to take on any range of opponents with either brute force, simple elegance, or a balance of both. He prefers brute force. Hauken calls this way of fighting Shichishito, after his family name.

Weapon Power: Hauken is able to summon the spirits of the dead to Hyourinmaru, powering up the blade and his whole body in a bluish white aura. A mask of bone and stripes forms over Hauken's face, and the aura takes the shape of the bone mask, with flames. He can fire off explosions of spirit energy.

History

Biography: Hauken had a good life. He wasn't spoiled, but he wasn't poverty-striken either. His mother and father cared for him for a long time, until a tragic night, when several gang members had ambushed his mother and father, asking for money, getting two deaths and a thirty year sentence instead.

Hauken didn't dispair long. His mother and father had taught him to be strong, and from the age of 3, had begun to teach him in the noble art of the katana. On his 5th birthday, they had given him a large katana, about six feet tall. This...was the greatest gift.

When Hauken hit twelve, he seeked out his mother and father's killers, the local gang of dropouts and drug addicts. None got away from his sword, but it was broken and serrated in the process.

For the next two years, Hauken lived by himself, training in secret, always honing his skills. He managed to make his old sword renown. He named it...Hyourinmaru. Ice Ring.

Character Snippit: Come on! I'm not even breaking a sweat! Hauken lept off of a mobster's back, taking him down with one slash. Hauken was short, 4'11, but that only served to his advantage. His foot took out the one sneaking up behind him.

"Don't sneak up on your enemy, stupid!" Hauken bent over the collasped figure, taunting, his finger waggling. Sheathing Hyourinmaru on his back, Hauken skipped down the road, the gang with guns all face down in the dirt.

"I'm just too good, ya can't beat me, the Ha~uken-sama!" He chanted to himself, skipping down the road. Someone was coming. Someone powerful. Someone dangerous. Hauken's intuition and incredible power told him this much. He turned the skip into a frontflip, unsheathing Hyourinmaru, the serrated sword gleaming in the soft, dimming moonlight.

He wore a black suit, and had bushy hair, tangled and matted, giving him a rugged look. He sorta looked like Hauken's.....fath...er...? Completely random, on this one night? Impossible...but Hauken didn't want to believe that it was impossible.

As the man passed, Hauken realized that it wasn't his father. Just a random passerby, wearing the same look. Hauken's spirit fell, but he knew he had to stop playing with himself like that. His father wasn't coming back. He was murdered right in front of Hauken.

Nickles and dimes, old time ryhmes. That was his childhood, a loving but poor one. He didn't have time to ponder the past, as he set out for home.

Purple and red, the bottom of her dress ends six inches below her knees. Dorothy's dress has slits coming up the side to allow for easier movement and flow. Underneath it she wears knees high white stocking. She wears, a little over, ankle high boots.

Dorothy can usually be seen wears red, fingerless, gloves. The bottom plams are made of a harder, strange colored, leather.

On her back she wears two leather crossing belts that wrap around her arms. These are used for carrying the fans. Dorothy can usually been seen wears a white vail.

Personality.: Intelligent. Kind Hearted. Obedient. Quite.

From what others have been able to understand of Dorothy thus far she seems rather kind hearted and somewhat naive. However this is most likely due to her language barrier. Since Dorothy solely speaks Latin she often times will not understand those around her, but she is rather intelligent and has begun to be able to put different motions and gestures together. Rather then trying to speak she is fairly use to taking orders, obedient. If she should fail the task assigned to her Dorothy will simply try again until she gets the correct out come.

She doesn't seem very serious about most things. Dorothy had originally came from a land covered in snow. Due to the atmosphere of the town, she learned to be the opposite of the environment. Instead of cold, she's warm hearted and very forgiving.

Weapon of Faith

Weapon Specifics.: Two Red Steel Fan.

Please, click here.

Ribs.: 27 ribs.¹
- 24 Steel.
- 2 Bamboo.
- 1 Bleeding Autumn Strip.

Height.: 45 Inches.¹
Width.: 65 Inches. ¹
Extend.: 55 Inches.¹
Weight.: 30 Pounds.¹

Color.: Base Red.

Technique.: The emblem of Chang-li-chuan of the eight immortals. This weapon requires an amazing amount of dexterity from its user.

Although this weapon is not used for heavy blocking or striking, it's use was often to be used as distraction tool as well as for redirecting blocks. A fairly well aid when one is looking to use it for locking techniques. As well as for light strikes and harder pressure points, including bruising the pressure points, brain 1 through 15, stomach 3 through 24, and heart 16, 17, 18, and 19. Obviously in the right hands this weapon can be rather lethal.

Since each fan is so heavy the person wielding it often must have faster movements then others as to build up power when fighting. Due to Dorothy's size, their are errors in her foot movement. Most of which appear to be the use of Aikido's stance in sparring. Generally, Dorothy is able to wield her fans in perfect synthesis.

Weapon Power.: When using the power of her fan's, Dorothy is able to move fast. Moving in a, literally, 360º circular movement she creates a small gust around her. This gust is used to ward off flying objects while she gains more speed. By causing the wind, the steel spikes are pushed through the Autumn stripe like flesh. As it moves forwards a thin blood like liquid covers the sharp steel and acts as a poison.

After using the power of her fans, however, Dorothy is often times tired and weak.

History

Biography.: Dorothy. Spes. Octavius. Or in Latin: Hope of thu eighth sun, thy lovely Dorothy. Born a place unknown to most of the world, a small town that was simply refereed to as 'The Lost Snow' by out siders. Those within the town had no name for it. They only called it 'home,' there was no other way to describe it.

This place was located in a place covered by eternal snow. The people in the town seemed to live endlessly as well. With an endless winter there were little no visitors, although one or two people came every so often. Usually lost in a blizzard or some sort of crash. The people of the town would help them of course but never took very kindly or warm to them. Dorothy's mother was one of those lost souls. However, the town's leader took very kindly to her. As a result the women stayed and married the town leader. Not only was she the most respected of the town but she was also the most well liked by the town people.

Eventually the couple had a daughter. They chose to name her Dorothy after the town leader's, first, deceased wife. Since they never hand any other children Dorothy was one of their most prized possessions. The father and mother did not dote on her, that was left up to the towns people, but they taught her all the morals that would be need. Universal morals that she could transfer to others who lacked them.

When she was seventeen Dorothy's hand was given away to another family's eighth son in marriage. He was to become the town next leader. The two were to be married as soon as she turned 20.

Character Snippet.: This will be my first and last message to whom ever may find this page. Hopefully as I place it in a bottle and send it into the 'sea' it shall somehow find it's way home.

I find this place strange. Oddly enough I also find my self annoyed and dishearten. I cannot understand what those around me are saying. From the information of which I have been able to gather I am located a few islands off the coast of a larger island known as 'Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun.' The sun here does not glisten as it does at home. Here it is not the 'season' for snow. But the first sun rise I have seen, glistened off mountains in rays of golden light. Still I prefer the endless snow.

Dorothy stopped. The fine tip of the brush bleeding on to the paper, merging into the black lettering. She read over it once more signing the words Hope of the Eighth Son. Suddenly the small rice boat bumped sending back a wave of force. The brush and torn page flying from Dorothy's hands into the water. She stared as the brush sank and the paper drifted. Leaving trails of oil behind it.

She watched until the oil had completely been removed by the water. The paper was then pulled under by the heavy black ink that slide to the center of the ruined letter. Kuroda hopped off the front of the rice boat. With a strong grip on the sail he brought the boat fully onto the sand and tied the rope to the side of the shambled dock. Stepping off she watched as he forced out a smile, out of courtesy she did the same. Dorothy bowing as he left her at the end of the dock area just before it lead into the main town.

Character

Name: Kurai Imogen (or just Kuri)

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Appearance: Kurai and Liari; five feet even, pictured with Liari, the spear.

Personality: Very spicy, with a fiery temper, Kurai is not to be messed with. Although she startles easily, Kurai recovers faster than one could notice you caught her off-guard. Smooth-talking and with a whiplash mind, Kurai can out-think anyone. Get on her good side and she will protect you with and without faults ? on her bad side and you can never redeem yourself.

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics:

Named - Liari

Pre-Transition: A normal, six-foot spear made of soft aspen and a half-foot blade of steel, it is wrapped around the middle with silver leather, used as a hand grip. Commonly used as a stave, the end is detachable and used as a knife.

Post-Transition: When the spirit is awoken, the spears blade lengthens to a foot, double-edged, and the soft aspen wood hardens and silvers. With a hand guard just below the blade to avoid slicing her hands open, the spear hardly changes in physical appearance.

Technique:
Cat?s Claw: Called thus because of it?s slightly curved blade, and the swift accuracy.

Weapon Power: The edges of the blade become intensified with electricity and heat, scoring through flesh and bone and metal. Although the stave part is made of wood, it has a core inside that is essentially untouchable. Should the handle be cut through Kurai would have to drop it or risk having no hands.
History

Bio: Given the fact that she has had three sets of parents during her childhood, you should understand that Kurai was a problem-child. Never following instructions very well, and being a total tomboy, she was constantly moving from family to family, trying to find a pair that could put up with her. Finally, when old enough, she gave up and left home entirely. Has lived on her own for a while, with no mysterious past ? except that there was one other reason she left home. What that reason is, no one knows. And, if she has her way, no one will know; and with Kurai, she usually gets her way.

Character Snippet:
?Kurai!!?

The girl cursed and whirled about, eyeing the boy coming down the street towards her. She sighed and then slipped into an alley way. Behind her she heard angry cries of protest and soon the boy was in the alley with her. She whirled. ?Stay away from me, Juu.?

The boy looked at her with pitifully blue eyes. ?Kurai, you promised!?

Kurai growled lowly with anger. ?What did I promise??

?That you would-? Kurai cut him off with a cry of frustration.

?Is Miho making promises for me again? I told you, I make promises to no-one! Now leave me ALONE!? Whirling she dashed away, anger draining as she ran. Losing Juu fairly quickly, she made for the outer rims of the city. Passing everyone without even a backwards glance, she left.

Kurai never stopped moving. She could never stay in one place. She would begin to have obligations to someone, begin to be dedicated ? and someone else would come into the picture. She would begin to tell why she was there, why she had left ? and then someone else would begin to listen. Someone who wanted to know what she didn?t want them to know. And so she left. Left with arrangements half-made, with promises unkept, secrets unwhispered.

This was the way it had always been. Find a place she could call home, become attached, and just have to leave again. Kurai assumed this was the way it would always be. Little did she know how true it was.

Hope this is all right, Casey. :)

Name:
Sozoro Tetusya (Surname, Given name) "The Silver Dragon"
Age:

Gender:
Male
Appearance:
Tetsuya
Tetsuya stands at 6'1''. His hair is silver and his bangs are quite long, covering his face. He wears a bandanna on his face, and it covers his left eye. He holds a wakizashi at his side as well.
Personality:
Tetsuya is a silent individual who prefers to keep to himself, though will open up if he feels he can trust you. Though still a young man, he is very wise and mature for his age, and portrays the aura of one who has lived for ages. He has endured many loses, and is constantly plagued by his past. He keeps his problems to himself, however, as he doesn?t like worrying others. Some often see him as a cold-blooded murderer, but he only kills when necessary. He does not hesitate when the time does come for battle, though.

Some people, when they are with him long enough, will find that not only will he open up, but he will also become quite a carefree person around those close to him. He?ll talk openly, joke, and fool around.

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics:
Ginryû
(Silver Dragon)
In it?s original form,it's a normal katana with a beautiful silver hilt . With the use of Ginryû he can manipulate the elements. He acquired Ginryû after being put through great emotional damage (see bio) and thus is very attached to it. After it transforms, it becomes the blade in the his pic (not much is seen, I know, but I wanted to get across the length of the blade). It's hilt looks like this, only it is silver, not gold.
Technique:
Jutsu No Ginryû (Art of the Silver Dragon)- The Art of the Silver Dragon is a mixture of a technique he was taught by his master and his own style of fighting. Tetsuya makes quick precise ?bites? with his blade at the opponent, using the wakizashi to ?claw? at the enemy. He also makes quick, rapid slashes and strikes at the enemies arms and legs, rendering them useless, and the person defenseless. Using the power of his blade, he can create a mighty dragon roar to blow enemies back, knocking them off balance and allowing for a full on assault unguarded.

Weapon Power:
?When unleashed, the great power of the Dragon God
Will make it apparent to all his arrival.
The Earth will tremble and split under his might,
And the winds will bow to his whim??

歴史
History

Bio:
Tetsuya was born into a family of samurais. His mother died giving birth to him and his twin brother. Tetsuya and Jegin grew up near a dojo, where they often watched the young men train in the art of Bushido. Their father was a strong man, who often traveled on missions for the emperor. Whilst he was gone the children would reside in the dojo, where the Ginzai, the master of the dojo, would watch over them, and they would occupy themselves by imitating the motions made during training. Their father died on one of his missions, and they moved into the dojo. As they got older, they were finally admitted into the Dojo as students.

They trained for many years when, at the age of 14, it appeared that the training was straining Jegin?s body. Tetsuya was fine, though, and feared for his brother. Jegin was made to stop his training. However, even when Jegin stopped his training, his condition did not get any better. He fell terminally ill, and Tetsuya too, stopped his training to watch over his brother. A doctor came to their house, and told them that Jegin had an undiagnosed disease, and that he would die in three months. Tetsuya couldn?t believe it. His brother would die and there was nothing he could do.

Those three months were filled with pain and misery. Jegin?s conditioned worsened every day. His body was violently racked with pain every night. Until finally, his body went limp after one of his convulsions. He died. Tetsuya buried his brother and mourned his loss for months. Finally, Gizai cam to Tetsuya and told him to stop mourning, as his brother would never have wanted it. He forced him to restart his training. Tetsuya tried as hard as ever to become a samurai, to honor his brother.

He had almost no one left in his life, save Ginzai. He kept Tetsuya living. That, and one story Ginzai always told Tetsuya. The story of the Chosen One. About his guardians. About the weapons they wielded, and the great strength they held. The story always gave him hope, energy, and courage, though he never understood why. Tetsuya continued his training, and was finally told by Gizai one day, to Tetsuya?s great amazement, that his training was finished. He then led him to the back of the Dojo. There lay a blade, mounted on the wall. Ginzai bent over and whispered into Tetsuya?s ear.

?There, mounted in back, is a weapon of a Guardian.?

Tetsuya gasped in surprise. He took a step towards it, and the blade glowed. Tetsuya knew instantly what that meant, he was meant for this blade. He could feel it. He was a guardian. He walked forward, put the blade at his side, and drew it. He heard a chuckle from behind him. Behind Ginzai were the others from the dojo. And they all had katanas drawn. Tetsuya was grief-stricken. All this time, Ginzai had just been waiting for the guardian who belonged to this blade so he could destroy them. Ginzai spoke again, the last line he?d ever say.

?No offense, Tetsuya. But it is what Lord Tanaka wills.? Tears streamed down Tetsuya?s face. He assumed battle stance and kept his head low. Die? No one stood a chance. He tore straight through Ginzai, and had no trouble slaughtering the others in the room. He walked into the main room, where more warriors had gathered. Tetsuya looked up at the ceiling, at the walls, the floor. This place had been his home. Those people his family. He clutched the blade fiercely, and attacked.

Tale tells of a young man walking out of a burning dojo unscathed. He mumbled something about finding the chosen one, then went on his way.

Character Snippet:
?Don?t worry Madam, it won?t feel that bad?? Four men had a woman pinned to the wall. The closest one to her was groping her, and was licking her ear. The others laughed as if it was some sport. The man stopped groping and reached for her skirt. Before he could touch her, a foot collided with his face. The man was sent flying, and his minions ran to his aid.

?Ryou! Are you okay?!? He pushed them off, looking for the man who had hit him. He was standing next to the woman, talking to her. She ran off, and he turned to face Ryou and his henchmen. Ryou got angry and drew his blade.

?Who do you think you are to mess with our fun? Well now we?re gonna have fun tearing you apart limb from limb!? The other men drew their blades as well, and lunged at Tetsuya. He merely gazed at them with his right eye, and stood there. They made were ready to strike at him when all of a sudden, a fierce gust of winf lifted them backwards. Tetsuya smirked.

?Now. If you?ll all leave I won?t have to kill you. I?m just passing through this town, and I have much more important matters to attend to. Well?? Ryou sprang up angrily.

?I?d rather die then walke away with my tail between my legs.? Tetsuya shrugged.

?Suit yourself.? The battle lasted only one minute. He killed Ryou and thwo of the henchmen, leaving one alive. He walked over to him and crouched in front of him.

?Since I let you live, I would suggest you help me in any way possible. Where can I find Tanaka?? The man shook violently from fear. He stuttered an answer to Tetsuya.

?I..I don?t know?B..but you might want to t.t..try a man named Sasurai. He?s searching for Tanaka as well. I?I heard ar..around that he?s searching for him to save the chosen one everybody?s talking about.? Tetsuya smiled. This is good? He grinned at the man and threw him a couple gold coins. He then started walking off.

?Thanks for the information. And you should find a better past time. I don?t want to have to come back to this town to come find you. That won?t end well.?

OOC: I hope that's alright, Kamuro. Hope I get accepted. ^__^

Character
Name: Sasurai Hitorine
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: Sasurai
Sasurai resembles that of a wanderer. His clothes are old and tattered, both his vest and pants of a dark black variety. A silk white belt encircles his waist, tied tightly just below his stomach. He lacks shoes and has developed rough feet from years of traveling without them. However, he does possess an old pair of wooden sandals for lavish occasions, a seldom occurance. His hair is long and of blueish tint matching that of his goatee, often put up towards the rear of his head. He wears both of the Twin Dragon swords upon his back, the handles shown just above his broad shoulders.
Personality: Sasurai is a confident fighter and an overall self-indulgant person. When he heard of the task that lie ahead it took heavy convincing to even get him to consider it. He was never one to put his life on the line for that of others, he fights for himself and his own motives. However, he has been forced to save the Chosen One, taken out of his element, and expected to succeed with flying colors. The weight of the world has been shifted from the Chosen One to his own shoulders, and he's not at all happy about it. Those of the Higher Counsel were very reluctant to choose him as leader of the Divine Kinship, yet they had no choice.

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics: The Twin Dragon swords retain the shape of an ordinary blade yet are composed from quite the opposite. The first sword named Junkin Doragon, or Gold Dragon, is made from pure gold. The blade is thick and incredibly solid, yet still sharp enough to cut through even the toughest material. A lavished black design runs along the edge of the sword, thinning towards the very tip. This sword exemplifies all that is good, giving off a true essence unlike any other. The second sword, Aibori Daija, or Ivory Serpent, is of similar shape to that of it's counterpart. The blade is cluttered with black designs as well, implicating it's connection with the Gold Dragon. This sword is the exact opposite of the first, giving off an ominous aura, a sword of pure evil.
Technique: The Twin Dragon
A special technique used when a person is wielding swords of identical length and weight. It is extremely important that the body is balanced allowing for swifter movement and a strong attack as well as defense. Few men are able to master the technique for lack of the proper swords and ability to distribute chi.
Weapon Power: With such opposed swords one could imagine the power of each blading meeting that of the other. Junkin Doragon was forged to save people, it's true purpose to protect life. While Aibori Daija was forged to take life, a truly evil weapon. Each sword's strength depends upon the situation. When fighting to save life Junkin Doragon is intensified, and the opposite is true for Aibori Daija. When brought together nearly every element of the users ability increases allowing for fighting on a whole new level.

History
Bio: Sasurai was born the child of a priest and his wife. His father wished nothing more then for him to follow in God's footsteps and become a priest as he had. However, times were hard, Japan was a country burdened with anarchy and famine. Even when crops had been grown their town was raided and all the food was taken to supply those of undeserving nations. All boys, no matter their age, were taken from their homes and expected to learn the ways of the samurai, the most famed title in all of Japan. They were taught to fight, and to protect what was theirs.

However as time passed even certain samurai became unjust, abusing their newfound power and taking advantage of those below them. Sasurai was torn, he wanted nothing more then to stay true to his country, but the things he'd seen were nothing he wanted to be a part of. He was accused of treason and exiled from the way of the samurai, and all of Japan was encouraged to turn him away and not offer aid to a fallen warrior such as himself. So he became a wanderer, traveling from place to place and killing as he desired, taking the lives of even the most famed officials responsible for his undoing. Such a troubled past worries those aware of his leadership position within the Divine Kinship.
Character Snippet: The night was dark and the air was dry, the wanderer known as Sasurai walking quietly along the edge of a dirt road. He was alone, the only source of light showing from the tip of his tobacco stem pipe. He merged his way towards the middle of the road, sensing an approaching carriage. He could hear the hooves of horses beat violently upon the dusty path and the crack of a whip encourage them further.

It finally came into sight, the very tip of the carriage emerging from the peak of a hill, obscuring the moon and stars as it began it's descent. However, as it reached flat land once again, Sasurai stood in it's path. A government soldier stood from his seat, looking eagerly towards the silhouette just ahead of the carriage. "Hey you, move from our path!" shouted the man, brushing his arm through the air and motioning the man to move. Yet he fell instantly, Sasurai's head moving slightly to dodge the squirt of blood from the driver's neck.

He heard a voice from within the carriage, "What's the hold up?!" shouted a man, jiggling the handle and opening the door to reveal the dark night sky. As the door swung open he became the second to veiw a tattered silhouette against the open scenery. "W-Who are you?" spoke Fuushin Minomori, a samurai overlord responsible for a vote against a young man's treason. "You don't remember?" spoke Sasurai quietly, approaching the man. Fuushin jumped back, attempting to slam the door to the carriage yet unsuccessfully, a golden flash shooting through and pinning him to the opposite wall of the coach.

The silent night was interrupted by a loud cry of agony, and Sasurai smiled as he entered the large carriage, quiet whimpers filling his ears. One would think that a samurai overlord would be a formidable opponent, however the title samurai meant nothing to him anymore, and this man was merely another spoiled lord responsible for the change in chivalrous ways and his own exile from the faction.

Fuushin pleaded, attempting to move his arm and clasp his hands before the dominant Sasurai, a second sword of tinted ivory in his hands. "Tarnished ways must pay with tarnished blades," spoke Sasurai, the very tip of his sword caressing the soft skin of his villain's neck. Fuushin brought his hand to the wound, attempting to put pressure on the area yet only forcing himself to cough and spit the sanguine liquid from his lungs. Sasurai ripped his sword from the wall, watching the body fall limp to the floor and forming a new silhouette, one of scarlet lies and mistaken beliefs that burdened the samurai lord. Another step on the way to changing a corrupt nation.

Character
Name:
Fayth Archer
Age:
18
Gender:
Female
Appearance:
Fayth
A girl raised by parents with very deep routes, Fayth has grown used to formal evenings and hunting trips, usually seen around her house and parties with the kind of dresses as shown in the picture. When she is in school or socialising with the few friends she has, she wears long skirts and button up blouses. Very plain colours like black or brown, despite her shocking hair and eyes.

She never wears any makeup, only a little mascara, and deeply wishes to go unnoticed, an impossible wish considering her natural appearance. Fayth stands at 5?3??, not aided by heels, seeing as she only wears flat shows. Despite the fact she spends most time outdoors, the young woman does not tan easily and will only burn, hence the reason for her unhealthy, pale complexion.

Personality:
Fayth was raised with parents that didn?t show much affection, only striving for perfection in their only daughter. They clung tightly to old traditions and the roots of their family?rich English nobles that had dealt a lot with France and Spain during the time of Henry VIII. They wished for their daughter to be a well educated, beautiful woman who would marry an equally rich and beautiful man who would bring wealth and pride to the family name.

Thus, Fayth was home tutored by only the best and she learnt many sports and dances since she learnt how to walk. A very quiet but self-confident girl, Fayth has not grown used to socialising with people she does not know. She tends to slip away at any given opportunity when faced with a group of people who she knows nothing about. Despite her quiet attitude, Fayth is a very polite and exceedingly kind girl.

She has the ability to tell when others are feeling bad, despite how hard they try to hide it. This comes from many years of listening and not speaking, she has learnt to read people?s eyes very well in the last couple of years. Ironically enough, Fayth finds it very hard to show her emotions and things like love and fear are things that she has never felt. This puts her at an obvious disadvantage, another reason why she is not good with large groups of people.

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics:
A spear that stands at six feet tall, the bottom rounded off with a silver sphere, the top of it sharpened to a fine, but strong point, tipped with silver to make it stronger. In the centre of the spear there is a black leather grip with etching on two sides for a better grip.

The weapon is light, but because of it?s length, is hard to handle. Someone not experienced would find that they became unbalanced with a hard thrust or swing. The spear is very good for close combat because both ends are deadly if used in the right way, but because of it?s lightweight and streamlined design, the spear can be thrown a long distance.

There is another advantage to the spear. If Fayth so wishes she can undo the sphere and leave it. Inside there is a chain (the, kusari) made of a material so light yet extremely strong, said to be enhanced by holy magic. This chain can be attached to a bracelet that Fayth always wears around her left wrist. When the spear is thrown she can easily pull it back, as the chain will retract back into the spear?s body. This chain also makes the weapon useful so that it can be swung around or, in desperate situations, used like a rope for scaling walls or strangulation.
(The ?transformation? will be described when it happens in the RP, providing I get in of course, and if I am accepted I?ll draw the spear and attach it to one of my ?in-play? posts.)

Technique:
Fayth?s technique is known as ?Sune-Kudansu? or ?Snake Dance?. While by no means a perfected or exact technique, the sune-kadansu is, like a provoked serpent, wild and unpredictable. Using an intricate combination of quick footsteps and long, fast spear thrusts, Fayth is able to not only deflect and dodge many blows but also deal fatal damage. If perfected, sune-kadansu would be an almost unstoppable technique. The user must be small, flexible and fast. Fayth is all of these having studies dance for a number of years. She is able to manipulate the kusari, using that as a weapon on it?s own or attacking hard with the thrown and swung spear. Her feet are light and she is a very nimble dancer, able to carry out fast and difficult routines whilst attacking her opponent.

Weapon Power:
The kusari is an unending chain, able to extend to any length and hold any weight. It will never run out and will never break, but is made out of a magic enhanced metal that adds little to no weight to Fayth?s weapon. This lightweight material also makes the body of the spear, which means that it?s one of the lightest weapons to handle, giving Fayth more freedom in her complicated ?death-dance?.
History

Bio:
Born, and still residing, in a beautiful thatched cottage just outside the town of Ilminster in the County of Somerset, Fayth has only known good fortune and impeccable living since she was brought into the world.

Her life, as such, has had no significant occurrences, seeing as she was shut off from the world. However, there have been recent goings on that Fayth has not been aware of?things that her parents are involved in that are, indeed, dangerous and illegal. While these events are not known to Fayth at the moment, her aunt has been trying to get time to tell her. Eventually the results of her parent?s misdoings will catch up to Fayth and it will be her who is left to deal with the consequences. *

Character Snippet:
A soft dawn lit up the dew-covered grass in front of a large thatched cottage. A half open window allowed a gentle breeze to enter, stirring the curtains on the other side of the glass. Slowly the young woman inside began to stir, opening her eyes to the early morning lightly filtering through into her room. She yawned and rubbed her eyes, turning over in an attempt to go back into a blissful sleep. But it was no use, she was awake now and getting back to sleep would be impossible. Sometimes Fayth hated the sun.

She rose from bed and crossed to her dresser, her feet padding lightly on the floorboards as she went. There was no need to wake her parents, so she trod lightly and carefully picked her hairbrush up from the glass tabletop. Brushing her flaxen curls to get them into some sort of style before tying them back with a black bow, Fayth watched her reflection in the mirror and sadly sighed as she lay down the brush once again. This house, this life, was like her prison. She knew she had to get out?do something, but there was always her training?

Two weeks ago, Fayth had stumbled across a very old spear in the shed at the bottom of her parents? garden. Having more sense than to ask them what it was, the girl had taken it upon herself to figure the weapon out. For some reason she had a great attraction to it and was compelled to see it in action.

It?s feathery weight and pinpoint accuracy made it a joy to ?play? with and she found herself being occupied for hours out on one of the old horse paddocks, practicing her dances. Deciding that she wanted to know more about this weapon, Fayth went back to the old shed and found, after a long time of searching, some old books detailing the spear and it?s origins. It was Japanese, made from a material that Fayth did not recognise. She didn?t care what it was?it was real and it was powerful, and she promised herself to master its fighting form even if only for her own enjoyment.

Fayth stood from the small chair in front of her dresser and crossed to her wardrobe, pulling out a summer dress that reached her knees and gloves to only came to just above her wrist. She quietly stole downstairs and pulled on her shoes, opening the back door and crossing out along the still damp grass to fetch her spear where she had hidden it.

Today, seeing as it was a Saturday, would be fine. The sky was clear and the air was fresh, Fayth?s parents didn?t really care where she went as long as she stayed on the grounds, so her being caught was not likely. She set out, spear on her shoulder, to the furthest horse paddock, hidden behind some old trees. She set down her weapon and pulled off her shoes before beginning what she had come to call her ?dance of death?.

(*= I added this, even though it may come to nothing, I thought it might be interesting to either have a character know what is going on with Fayth's parents o for some delicious little plot twist come into play later.)

Name: Zhou Tao, also known as the "Silent Viper"
Age: 31
Gender: Male

Appearance: Tao
Tao is a relatively tall, lanky man, at least considering his place of origin. He has thin, hooded gray eyes and shoulder-length brown hair, which he has streaked with red dye. He is leanly muscled - not skinny, but not overly buff. He usually wears clothing that is loose and baggy, easy to manuever in and not very noticable. He tends to have a pair of darkened glasses perched on his nose, and is known for wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and most times. He usually wears black, but can occasionally be seen in other colors. He usually has a bottle at his hip filled with some kind of liquor, and his weapon on the other side. He has a black snake tattoo winding around his neck and down his right arm, with a black lotus blossom on the back of his left hand, vines wrapped around his left forearm.

Personality: Zhou Tao is not your usual assassin. Some are high-strung and paranoid; others deranged and sadistic; some are just angry and filled with blood-lust; and yet others are cold, distant, and ruthless. Zhou Tao is none of these things. Where some are tense, Tao is loose and fluid. Where some are insane, Tao is calm and acutely aware of everything. While some are brutal, he is placid and calm. And where some are cold and heartless, he does his work with a calm smile.

Zhou Tao is an assassin who does what he does because he's not good at anything else. Killing people is his trade; it's not a joy, a hobby, or something he necessarily takes pride in. He just does it like anyone else does their job. And, from time to time, he does it with a smile and whistles while he works. Because, if you have to do something, he thinks, why not enjoy it? His calm, amiable, and downright normal behaviour may be the most frightening thing about him.

Weapon of Faith
Appearance/Weapon Specifics:
Pre-Transition - Tao is a master with the jian (Chinese straight sword). His paricular blade, his only cherished possession, is a piece of art. A long black ash handle, laced with steel and iron, with a snake's head at the end of the pommel. In addition, it has carvings of a wicked snake, and a handguard in the shape of a serpent. The blade is slightly waved at the edge for extra bite.
Post-Transition - After Tao's power awakens, his jian turns into something far more threatening. Instead of a simple waved edge, the sword sprouts several long spikes that can catch and enemy's weapon, and hurt far worse. In addition, the snake-head serves as a cap, as the grip as become hollow and filled with a venom that can leak through the spines.

Technique: Way of the Silent Viper
Inspired by a mixture of Snake-style Shaolin Quan, traditional Chinese sword-fighting, and Drunken Monkey Kung-Fu, Tao's fighting style is dangerous and unpredictable. Offensively, its focus is in quick, controlled stabs, much like a snake. However, it's not just a linear fighting style, as the Way of the Silent Viper focuses entirely on movement. To stay still while using it, Tao feels, is suicide. So, he has mixed in the wild, uncontrolled movement of Drunken Monkey Kung-Fu so that he's always moving. This makes him hard to track, and the sheer randomness makes it hard to tell what's coming. However, his style also relies entirely on momentum - take the momentum away from Tao, and he is lost.

Weapon Power: Tao's weapon gives him power in the form of speed. As an assassin, and a warrior who relies on movement, the incredible boost in speed that his weapon gives him is extremely advantageous. At top speed, he can move almost too fast to be seen. However, dramatically increasing his speed like this puts great strain on his body, and using it too long could result in extreme danger to his health and life.

History
Bio: Little is known about Tao's past, and he certainly isn't telling much. It is believed that he was born in, or at least lived in, Wudanshan, where the Snake style is prominant. Tao probably had his family killed in a raid by bandits, or possibly soldiers. However, some legends circulate that he killed his own family so he could dedicate himself to a life of death and shadows. He was trained in the Snake style of Shaolin Quan, and a style of Chinese swordfighting.

He became an assassin around age 16, give or take a few years. For almost 15 years, he's been a feared name throughout China, and some other countries as well. The Silent Viper is feared as a man who's never missed a mark, never lost a fight, and never let someone go alive. He's said to be the most ruthless, cold, efficient assassin ever to walk the face of the earth, and while he's not exactly the cold-blooded killer he's made out to be, it would be wise not to discount all rumours...

Character Snippet: Smoky and dark. Such is the way of the lairs of criminals. The only places that take in scum and villains, murderers and theives. The violent, the greedy, the deranged, the brutal. All the filth from the streets of China, gathered into small shacks and burrows. Filthy.

The liquor in his hand was heady and bitter. The smoke trailing from his pipe foul smelling and acrid. But it was the best he could buy in the rundown old town, filled with drunks, vagrants, and killers. Zhou Tao could always pay for the best. Assassins were well-payed no matter where you went. Tao knew the truth quite well.

The door creaked open. Eyes flickered to it, and a small boy moved in. Dirty, disheveled, and nervous, his eyes grew wide as the thugs watched him. His bare feet slapped against the grungy floor, and he bowed his head low as he approached the Silent Viper. He spoke, voice shaking like the earth during a quake.

"M-Master w-w-will s-see you n-now, g-great one," he stammered.

"Good," was the assassins curt reply. He spoke with a cold voice, sharp like his blade but with a smoothness that did not fit his reputation. Neither did the lazy elegance with which he rose from the old chair, nor the slow gait that he walked. For the deadliest assassin alive, he gave of a startlingly calm disposition. None of the bloodlust or agitation that filled most. He was simply a man going about his work.

It was blood-chilling.

The sword clinked lightly as Tao walked, his sandals sqeaking with each step. The patrons marveled. How could this be the great Silent Viper, when every step he took made noise? At last, several rose, drawing up their arms. Tao stopped immediately, speaking in the same calm tone.

"Is there a problem?"

"We don't think you are really the great assassin," one growled. He stepped forward, towering over Tao. The unwashed thug brandished a massive sword, and bore many scars.

"I assure you, I am," Tao said, a placid smile on his lips.

"Prove it!" another man screamed, swinging a long polearm at the assassin.

It cleaved through the floor, but Tao was untouched. He stepped to the side of the swing, dancing forward and drawing his jian silently, driving the sword into the thug's stomach.

"Proven."

With inhuman skill, he turned slightly to bring his foot up into another attacker's face. The large sandle shattered his jaw, and the man staggered back. Tao pulled his blade loose, bringing it forward to pin the broken man to the wall. Blood splashed onto Tao's hands and face.

He still had the same smile.

Five minutes and the rest were dead. Cleaved, stabbed, broken, and bruised. They lay upon the floor, slumped over tables, bleeding from countless wounds. Tao stood in the middle of the carnage, untouched save for the blood of others. Smiling calmly, he took a puff on his pipe and snuffed it by pressing it to a carcass's back until it stopped sizzling. He turned to the young boy, who flinched at a single glance.

"Shall we go, my boy?"

Name: Axel (second name unknown)

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Appearance: See attachment for picture

Axel has always been a wanderer, never wanting to stay in the same place for too long, but his appearance definitely does not reflect this lifestyle. His long black cloak is always spotless and is never tattered, and his shock of red hair is always immaculate. However, he barely spends any time on his image, not being a vain person. Along one arm, he has a series of steel plates linking together to give a full arm of protection, with sharp metal spikes on the shoulder pad and the gauntlet. The metal is blood-red, almost matching the colour of his hair. However immaculate his clothes and hair are, though, his face and body are covered in scars and injuries. Along one side of his back he has a series of metal plates sewn in to his skin to keep a wound shut, a revolutionary method of healing for this time.

Personality: Axel, being a man who had been through so much pain and anguish, is, unsurprisingly, a very quiet person, never letting his true feelings show through. He does not like to make friends, as he has been betrayed by so-called "friends" before in the past. However, if he spends a lot of time with people, people who are stuck with the same duty as himself, he will eventually grow to accept them, and regard them as friends.

Weapon of Faith

Appearance/Weapon Specifics: Axel's Weapon of Faith is a simple, steel sword, around three feet long, with a simple wooden hilt with small engravings in it. He does not know what the engravings mean, as they are in a language he has never seen before. The wood of the hilt is a glossy black colour, polished by Axel every day, and the blade is long and of a similar black colour. It is truly a one-of-a-kind weapon, belonging only to Axel, and no-one else owns anything like it.

After the transition, the blade turns to a deep scarlet, with the image of a long serpentine creature running down the blade in black. The hilt becomes longer and more sturdy, wrapped in bandages, and the guard turns to the shape of a snake's head, made from silver metal.

Technique: Axel uses a style that he developed over long years of fighting, which he has called the Lizard technique. It involves using any type of solid object around him, such as the side of a building, or the trunks of trees, and leaping around from one solid object to another, slashing enemies as he goes. If there are no solid objects around, he will use the floor or the ground to great advantage, often either leaping off it, or ducking down onto it. It is a very tricky style to master, and Axel is the only person who can use it, as it involves a lot of difficult jumping and acrobatics.

Weapon Power: Axel's blade, when transformed, superheats the air around itself, making the blade become covered with a film of crimson fire. This also increases Axel's strength by a fairly large factor, and when it reaches full power, the flames that cover the blade can spread and cover Axel's entire body. These flames will incinerate any living thing they touch, whether it is a tree, an animal, or a human.

History

Bio: Axel is a legend around Europe. Starting from humble beginnings in England, he worked his way upwards, eventually managing to con his way into becoming a Lord, shedding the burden of his parents and the rest of his family. This would turn out to be a curse. He fell in love with a young member of the Royal Family, and on the day before they were supposed to be married, she was struck down by pneumonia, which killed her almost instantly. From that moment on, everyone Axel had ever cared about died in front of his very eyes.

He moved away from England, in mourning, and began to wander across Europe, trying to find a career that helped to fill the loneliness of his life. He eventually hit on becoming a bounty hunter, and travelled the land looking for the perfect bounty, along the way procuring a rather unique sword, and developing his fighting style, the Lizard Technique. He is known as the man who never fails to get a bounty.

Character Snippet: Footsteps crunched along the quiet cobbled street, a black cloak flowing gracefully down around the feet that made splashes as they hit the ground. Rain pounded down on the street, that was lit only by the moon. The only thing that showed up of the figure that was walking slowly down the street was his shock of bright red hair.

The figure walked into the shop, the closed sign meaning nothing to him, the darkness swirling around him.

"I'm sorry, we're closed," said the man sitting behind the counter.

"It doesn't matter," said the figure slowly and calmly, his deep voice quiet, almost a whisper.

"What do you want?" asked the man.

"I want you." The figure had momentarily drawn his sword, leapt onto the wall and back again, and smacked the man behind the counter in the face with the flat blade of the sword, knocking him unconscious.

He dragged the man out of the shop, and to his destination, where he dropped the body and collected his money. This was how this business worked, complete anonimity...

(Hope that's alright for you, Kamuro, PM me if it's not)

Name: Rieur

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Appearance: See attachment. Props to the great Falcoon.

Personality:
A peculiar drama queen who uses her skills in acting to get what she wants.
The habitual and sudden change in her temper is quite normal. If one wastes enough time with her, she might just lapse into an apparent state of confusion, uttering nonsensical phrases that will drive sane characters away.

She loves to hang out atop grassy knolls and throw things at moving objects, preferably at small animals. Happier than most and might actually be clinically insane.

Weapon of Faith
Joyeuse
Weapon type: Composite Bow
Length: 148 cm (strung), 158(unstrung)

In the true spirit of classic composite bows, Joyeuse is made out of rigid heartwood enclosed in a smooth sapwood shell from the same tree. Golden horn nocks keep a red silk string tied down to the stave. At the core is a hair strand of the war deity Bishamon which supposedly heightens the user?s senses and brings an incredible amount of luck.

A vicious history belies its rather cheerful nickname; it is said that the wood got its red marks from the blood of an unnamed warrior king who put a curse on the weapon before he died. His spirit now resides in the weapon and will possess anyone who summons him, filling the user with insatiable bloodlust.

Technique:
Now, now. Don?t think that we bowmen haven?t got weapon techniques like swordsmen do. Ours may not be as fancy but they?re just as hard to perfect. Every movement is calculated, governed by stolid accuracy and the fickleness of Nature. Yep, Mother Nature. Them swordies haven?t got wind, temperature and humidity factors to worry about; I do.

I?ve developed a technique called La Sauvage Apprivoisée. You won?t see it in my movements? and that?s how you know it works. Since Joyeuse here is a bit of a shrew (she guides herself, really), I?ve to keep her still with my left while maintaining a good rhythm in the drawing and releasing of arrows with my right. I can?t explain it well but it all boils down to complementing my movements with the weapon.

Be one with the bow, yeah?

Bio
Coming soon

Character Snippet

Holy Mary, mother of God?
Pallid moonlight streamed through a rose window, staining the weathered tiles below a vision of the Blessed Virgin. As her immaculate heart poured gold and silver pools of light on the aisle, her downcast gaze rested on the wretched figure that lay between her fair hands.

?Pray for us sinners?
She didn?t seem to mind the cold that had slowly crept across the floor nor the blanket of dust that had then lain over the pews and the floor. A hand covered her side where blood had seeped through lace and silk, and drew a sharp contrast from her white dress. The slow rise and fall of her back was the only sign of life.

?Now?
Her lips parted. She drew in her first deep breath and lifted her head. Her other hand shielded her eyes from the flooding light and she saw what looked like stars further down the aisle. Fighting against the uncontrollable trembling spreading across her limbs, she crawled towards the stars.

?And at the hour of our death?
Nearby, a man knelt, shrouded in the darkness that enveloped the rest of the hall. His head was bowed and his hands were closed around the hilt of the sword planted before him. Thin shafts stuck out of his chest, at the tips of which were silver arrow tails that glistened in reflected light.

The woman reached for the hilt and pulled herself level to its owner. She wrenched the sword free and gently laid the man's head on her lap. Her fingers traced the smile that rested on his face before she once again slipped into the shade of sleep.

?Amen.

Personality:
Sakarai has always been a caring and sweet person, hence is the reason her father named her "Sweet daughter". She has a soft spot for people and hates confrontations. She would do anything to get people to get a long but do not let this full you. She likes physical activities and is a skilled hunter. Hunting is her passion and she loves to stock down prey despite her love for animals. Her favorite saying is To hunt or be the hunted. for she believes that is how life goes. She's lived in the wilderness for most of her life so is often very scared of other societies and confused by most educated people. However, the thing that angers her most, is the people who consider her barbaric or make fun of her heritage. Sometimes her anger can get the best of her....

Appearance/Weapon Specifics:
[Tomahawk]
Sakari carries around a tomahawk that is black with feathers and beads attached to it. She can throw it at many different angles and carries two on both her sides. What is special about this tomahawk though, is that one of the tomahawks call upon nature spirits for help and the other one is used for death. She only ever uses the one on her left side for emergencies.

The tomawk has silver markings of the spirits that can be called upon up the handle and markings on the blade. This helps the tomahawk reach it's destination.

Toku Karyuudo - "Virtous Hunter" is an attack that strikes the heart of the victum with almost a guarantee of hitting. Only way to stop this attack is by blocking.

(Each weapon is unique and different in it's own way. They've been forged each with different purposes, so what does your's do? Extend to unmentionable lengths? Manipulate air to your advantage or simply offer a little extra speed when fighting? This will also influence your technique)
