Prank Calls

I did a prank call to a kid with the last name Hancock, I turned out pretty well except for the fact he found out who made it.

I did another one on a walkie-takie and some firework show and I ended up getting put in a cop car because some cops were using the same frequency, let's just say the joke involved cops.

So what's your experience been with prank calls?

Maybe we should post WHAT we did on the prank call instead of who we called.

My first and only prank call was to a rock radio station, 97.1 "97 X." Listeners were calling in to vote for a band, either Bowling for Soup "1985" or Alkaline Trio (I think) "Mexican Radio" (or something to that effect). So I called and screamed into the phone in a stupid voice, "Bowling for Soup because Soup is my favorite flavor of sock!" and hung up right after. They didn't air it, though.

Sometimes when I know friends are calling me, I'll prank them when I answer. I remember one time, my best friend called and I started singing some made up song for an animal band. "Hey boy or girl, you've reached the Singing Monkeys, leave a message after the banana" and then in my deepest voice: "banana!" And several times I've pretened to be a high voiced boy (which I'm not) named Joe Miller with a brother named Antonio. "Hewoo? This is Joe Miwwer. No, this is not them, you must've dialed the five instead of the nine because five and nine kinda sound alike."

And it's not much of a prank, but last night at my party, the phone rang and I answered, but no one was there. So I sat back down to talk with some friends, then the phone rang again. "HELLO!" in an angry, gruff voice. That cracked up my friends.

My cousin and I heard someone on our frequency while we were at Lake Cumberland, so we shouted things like "Boobies!" into the walkie-talkie. We really got a kick out of it.

I just came up with a "Please leave a message after the..." joke:

Hello. You have reached Donnie and Beck's XXX. Please leave a message after the sex:
Ahhhh. Ahhhhhh. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I didn't nessecarily make the call but I was on the bus with the kids that did it. After going to a state convention, we waited for our teachers to come back out of the building. There was a payphone sitting right beside the bus. One boy called his cellphone with it and got the number. After this, they all climbed on the bus and started calling waiting for someone to walk by and answer it. One girl ran away screaming, about three more stared at it before walking away and two boys picked up eventually. They put the girls on the phone and started talking to the boy. He was starting to get freaked out because after repeatedly saying, "You don't know me." they started to describe him and what he was wearing so he hung up. The girls called back again and talked to him as we pulled off down the road until the phone went out of service. It was all flirting and teasing 'til then.

I sat kindly and watched as they made ***** out of themselves while I stroked my little plush dog I bought the day before. Someone figured out who was calling and saw the county's name on the side of the bus. And it was supposed to be a convention for the gifted minded. Please....

Well, once me any my cousin were looking thru the phone book. We were watching this movie called Belly (it had rappers DMX and Nas in it). Anyway, we found a hotel number and called it. There was this scene in the movie where they're in a strip joint and these two guys have an argument, and then they start shooting.....so when the movie got to that part, we turned the volume up so the person on the phone could hear it.

OK, well my cuz was to scared to do it (and he's older than me, I was 14 at the time and he was 16) Anyway, we call the place, a man pics up, and I ask for the price of a room and he tells me. After that, I act like im at the place (in the movie) and I say "hold man, Im on the phone" and then my cuz (in the background) says "No, I need to use it now! Give me the f***ing phone" and I say to man on the phone "could you hold on please?" and he says "sure"

SO, I say "WTF did I just say!? Im on the phone" and my cuz says "oh we got a problem here?" and (the part where they start shooting in the strip joint comes on) I say "no, aint problem" (BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM) (in the background, my cousin changes his voice and he says "OH MY GOD!") The man on the phone also says "Oh my god!" and then I yell *ahhhhhhhhh* then, I hang up the phone.

ME AND MY CUZ WE DYIN!!! (With laughter of course)

Our house has caller ID and I know which places/numbers are advertising phonecalls and such, so once when my friends were over we waited for one and pretended that I was one of the legal guardians (I really sound like a guy over the phone). My friends randomly picked up a Harry Potter book lying around and I while I was heartily replying to the advertisor's offers, I would insert random quotes from the book. More specifically, I just read out the scene where Hagrid tells Harry that he is a wizard. And then at the end I started screaming 'OMG it's Voldemort! He's come to kill me!'. The guy on the other line got really pissed and hung up.

:D

My friends and I still want to call the KKK hotline (there is one, believe it or not), but we're sort of afraid at the same time.

For all you fans of prank calls you should check out the comedy of Roy D. Mercer. My cousin and I a few years back. Went through the white and yellowpages pranking people with his classic calls.

And if you really want to mess with somebody, call a girl or guy, depending on who you want to mess with, who a friend has a thing for. Preferably a big thing for.

Pretend to be a local radio station secretary, not a DJ because that's to obvious, call about a prize giveaway. Something small like a free dinner somewhere, a hundred dollars. Nothing like "You've wont ten-thousand dollars" Because that's way to obvious.

Next tell the person that they need to call "Insert friends cell/telephone number here" and just play it off like its the number to the DJ booth and say something stupid when they pick up like "I'm crazy for K95" or something like that, once again not to over the top. But something that will screw your friend, and that person up when he/she realizes it's not the radio station, or a wrong number.

Then make sure you're hanging with your friend at the time the person calls and bask in the glory of a great great prank.

And don't forget *67 before you call otherwise if they have caller ID (which almost everybody has) or they *69 you, your prank will be blown and you will hate me

If anybody uses this, please PM me and tell me how it went. It's worked three out of three times for me, and each time It held my funny bone over for almost a week.

Me and a friend first went calling random numbers, saying we were from a model agency that was looking for people. We gave them the mobile number of someone we don't like. Eventually we called the little sister of a class mate. She actually called back oO"
One number we called we got an old person at the other end of the line. We apparently called a resthouse and the man was just about to get his medication.. Wonder what happened to him after he was invited to come over to Amsterdam for a test photo shoot. -.-

When that prank got boring we called people with the message "Hi, we're from radio 10 Gold and we have a caller who has a birthday, could you sing a song for him?". Almost no one did it except someone who sang Marilyn Monroe's version of "Happy Birthday to you".

All in all we weren't as criminal as you bunch of people, but it was fun.

You live in the Bay area too? Coolio.

I'm too boring (mature? Na.) to make prank calls, but I recieved one at work one time. It was 2 AM and I wanted to go home, but for reasons I don't understand, I played along. And I think I won, because I was so obnoxious to her that she yelled "**** you!" and hung up the phone.

Darn right, lady...
