Tyler Koregaten
I'm just wondering, who, besides me, likes the string quartet Bond? Bond is a string quartet of four women who take classical pieces and re-do them with additions like MIDI sounds and electric instruments. They've also written pieces of their own. Their song Explosive was used as the theme for Australia's coverage of the 2004 Olympics. eleanor
They're a fun bunch to listen to. :) I really like the combination of techno/classical music, as I always have, so I was bound to like them. It's sad that they've had to take a mass-media approach and dress up scantily-clad on the CD covers, but whatever. I haven't actually bought their CDs, but I've listened to them a lot on my friends' iPods in orchestra, and I have been planning to get one for some time. :
Tyler Koregaten
If you want a Bond CD, check the classical/easy listening CD section in the electronics/home entertainment department at Wal-Mart. There shoul be a tab that says "Bond". Look there. So far, I've found Shine, Classified, Born, and Explosive at Wal-Mart and purchased them. You could also try going online for Bond: U.S. Re-mix or Bond Live DVD. Visit CLICK HERE TO VISIT BOND'S WEBSITE Thanks!
