Qman1
They are my favorite old school hip hop group. I love their music. I STILL listen to it today. Classic songs like "bonita applebum" or "luck of lucien" are prime examples of their rhymes and music. One the best. Album: Hits,Rarities, and Remixes circa 1999 Artist: A Tribe Called Quest Track 1- Oh My God (Remix) Track 2- Award Tour Track 3- Can I Kick It? Track 4- One, Two, S**t Track 5- Electric Relaxation Track 6- Mr. Incognito (Previously UNRELEASED Track) Track 7- I Left My Wallet In El Segundo Track 8- Check The Rhyme Track 9- Lyrics To Go (Tumblin' Dice Remix) Track 10- Scenario Track 11- Same Ole Thing (From Men In Black) Track 12- Buggin' Out Track 13- Bonita Applebum Track 14- Jazz (We've Got) Track 15- Glamour And Glitz (Previously UNRELEASED Track) Track 16- Clap Ya Hands Track 17- The Night He Got Caught (Previously UNRELEASED Track) Track 18- Peace, Prosperity, and Paper (Previously UnRELEASED Track)
Manic Webb
Qman1, I deleted your second post. Double-posting is not allowed at OtakuBoards. I know you feel your thread was being ignored, and you probably wanted to bump it to the top of the page so someone would notice it. Still, you can't double-post. Please review The Rules. With that said, I like A Tribe Called Quest. In fact, I like their work as a group better than some of Q-Tip's solo work (although Q-Tip alone is far from bad). They're one of the few groups that define true hip-hop in the 1990s. Yeah, their music was great. "Electrice Relaxation" is one my favorites. But, for some reason, everyone always says that their number one song was "Bonita Applebum" Their music was pretty good too, not just the lyrics. The song that I love because of the music is "Luck Of Lucien".
Posthumous
I love Tribe. Wonderful hip-hop band, one of the, if not best hip hop band of the 90s. A Love Movement is probably my favorite album. Have you heard any of Q-Tip's solo work? I have his album, Kamaal The Abstract which was never released for some reason. Great great album again. These guys just outdo themselves all the time.

Now get this, the Tribes name was orignally given to them by the Jungle Bros. (and in finding that out, I wanted to listen to the Jungle Bros. music, THINKING that it was similar to the Tribe.....I was SADLY mistaken) Yeah, my favorite album (so far) is The Love Movement and the other one is Midnight Mauaders. EDIT: I recently bought The Anthology. Its very good. I only have 2 CDs made by the tribe. (The Anthology and A Tribe Called Quest: Hits, Remixes, and Rarities) I plan on buying the rest. Some my favorite songs on The Anthology are "Luck of Lucien" "Bonita Applebum" "Electrice Relaxaion" and "Description of a Fool"
Petie
Qman1, this is your second warning about double posting in this thread alone. And, according to one of your own posts in this thread, this is at least your third warning overall. You are not allowed to double post at OtakuBoards. If you want to say more after your initial post, use the edit button. That's why it's there. I'm tempted to just close this thread but I'll give it one more chance.
Genkai
You've gotta be pissing me putting a compilation as a greatest album Midnight Marauders ius definiteely my favorite TCQ album, but there's no way that anybody could think that a complilation would ever be better than any of their albums except maybe beats, rhymes, and life. Anyway, TCQ are fly *** ****. Today mostly whiteboys listen to them, but they always get respect from everybody. Geniuses.

Midnight Marauders was good too. (had a few songs on there I liked) I have The Anthology now (which is really just like the beats, rhymes, and rarites)
