maverickwarrior
I *LOVE* L'arc En Ciel... They're my favourite j-band right now ^^ My favourite song is Lost Heaven... It's featured in the FullMetal Alchemist movie ^^ They've done lots of other good anime songs too. *cries* I wish they would come over to BC... I would pay so much to see them in concert ;_;

Sara
Ever since I first heard it several years ago, one of my favorite songs (ever) has been Floods of Tears. I also love flower. I can't think of the names of most of the other songs I really like, but I also recommend Neo Universe. I love the opening, it reminds me of watching TV as a little kid. I have no idea why. It's weird for me to say I like a song without knowing what's being said. I guess I can honestly say I like the sound, huh? :)
Sinistra
Ah...L'Arc~en~Ciel... I heard that their new Album is coming out. Labeled "Awake", it includes "LOST HEAVEN" as noted by maverickwarrior. Along with "Killing Me", "New World", "Invitation to Freedom ~ Jiyuu eno shoutai", "Poem ~ JOJOUSHI" and a special bonus track....I think it's "HEAVEN'S DRIVE" live from Yoyogi National Stadium. It hits American streets on September 20th, and I'm going straight to Media Play after school to get it. :p As for my favorite song, I'd have to say that it's "Coming Closer" from their album Smile. I want to get my hands on Moon Child, the Japanese movie with hyde and Gackt...I'm sure that it's good, and if not, it's still got hyde and Gackt in it which forces it to be good.
OtakaMoon
Awwww once the album comes out im going to get ready to buy it!! hahaha I hope i still have money left... And theres a movie with the lead vocalist?? hmmm I gotta check that out..

My L'Arc-en-Ciel favorite song would be The Fourth Avenue Cafe. Yes, it's pretty old and a bit obscure but it's the song that got me into the Laruku craze. I don't know why but it sounds different from many of their songs. It's pretty light and it didn't focus on one instrument alone (get my drift?). Yet for all the subtle deviations, it still sounded like a true-blue hyde composition with lyrics that paint a vivid, albeit surreal, picture of a scenery that goes along with the song. Man, I love 'em to pieces.
Sinistra
Buy it if you want to see Gackt and hyde sport lovely hairdos.
Heh...I will. I think I've seen Gackt's hair from that movie, but I want to see hyde's! XD
MAN I wish they had a concert...
Actually, they did in the U.S. just about a year ago down in Baltimore for Otakon 2004, the (formerly) Largest Anime Convention the East Coast had to offer. They performed some of the songs from their album Smile. And I got so close to going...:animesigh There's a DVD out now for the concert, it's on sale now, too. I'm not sure if they would be touring, I would guess so because of the new album. But just to check, click here, this is the official site. That should have something about it.

I've had it for months ^_^ I love L'arc-en-Ciel. I'd have to say they're my favourite band, although X-Japan's pretty darn close. My favourite songs are 'New World' and 'My Dear', from AWAKE, 'NEO UNIVERSE', 'hitomi no juunin', 'as if in a dream'... there are lots I love, just because so many of them are done so well ^_^; I can't understand the words, and reading internet translations only gives me a pretty vague idea of what they actually mean, but I listen to it for the sound more than anything else. They're so well orchestrated and incredibly talented musicians. Gackt and hyde's duet in 'Orenji no Taiyou' from Moon Child is pretty good, but it really shows up Gackt's lack of vocal range. I much prefer hyde's singing.
Revolut1on
I've been a L'Arc~en~Ciel fan for almost a year now. They're so awesome, they surpassed Porno Graffiti on my list of favorite Japanese artisits. I really like their songs Lover Boy and Eien. Eien is so beautiful sounding; I get all misty everytime I listen to it. I just wish I could find the translated lyrics for it.

Killer7
Laraku is pretty good, not as great ad Dir en AGrey or Kagrra, but good nonetheless. the only two songs I listen to alot are Ready Steady Go! and invitation to freedom, most of their other songs are a little boring. bellpickle
I was once L'Arc~en~Ciel fanatic. For a year or so, I was so obsessed that I watched L'Arc~en~Ciel concert videos more than I watched anime or movies. I also attended the L'Arc~en~Ciel concert at Otakon 2004. (6th row, baby!) It's died quite a bit since then, but for the past couple years, my favorite L'Arc songs have been fate, Ibara no Namida, and glass dama. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of their newer releases.
haru sakurai
i've been a fan of L'Arc... over 6 years now. wow. unlike a lot of old-skool fans i like the direction they've gone in, though i'm a little unimpressed with the recent influx of fan. i guess it's just old fart syndrome setting in. *l* my favorite songs are, in no particular order: Finale Neo Universe Pieces Perfect Blue Dive to Blue Bravery Neo Universe Are You Feeling Fine? I'm So Happy Butterfly's Sleep Twinkle, Twinkle Time Slip

Does anybody know about this?[/FONT']
there was a period several years ago where L'Arc didn't have much activity and all of them worked on solo projects-- Hyde as himself, Tetsu as Tetsu69, Ken in his band Sons of All Pussys (SOAPS), Yukihiro with his industrial project acid android. at this point, they had been together so long, people wondered if they were breaking up. this was not the case-- since then they've produced SMILE and Awake, and are still at the tops of the charts in Japan. yes, Hyde is still involved with his solo project. actually, Tetsu's coming out with a new single soon as well. it doesn't mean the band is breaking up, and there's no word of them breaking out-- they've been 10 years and going strong. I read about this in Anime Insider last month. They're just taking a break, but they do plan to get back together soon. Their 'final' concert wasn't too long ago, but I thought they had announced it then. They were touring for their new album 'Awake'. I want to follow their solo projects and see how they do.
