My Otaku Image Background Problems

Hi. OK, over the past few days I've tried EVERYTHING to get rid of the background for my background image on my otaku. I'm using the edit styles thing on the backroom, and I wanted rid of the coloured background that was over the top of my image.

I thought it must be either the Main Background, or Inner Background,so I tried to get rid of those.

I tried putting in nothing at all, #XXXXXX, XXXXXXX, # then random letters, random letters, and all sorts, but it just goes black. You can see little strips of the background at the very top and very bottom of the page, but thats it.

If you have an image background on your my otaku site, could you just copy and paste what you put into these fields or just tell me how to do it? I tried with html, but it wasn't working either, the black background just went over the top of it.

Thanks for reading this, anyone who replies gets huggles! Lol.

BTW, we need an anime fall smilie.

Oh, btw (again) if it says how to do this somewhere, just point me in the right direction, and don't hit me for being an idiot (please??).

For your background image, just use the background image field in Edit Styles and simply remove the entry. It isn't necessary to put in any codes or anything - just leave it totally blank, or fill it in with #FFFFFF (white) or something. Unless you've done it in some other way, that should be fine.

Also, please do not double post. It's against the rules here. I strongly recommend taking a look at the rules page, located on the left navigation menu.

James, I think the problem she's having is that the site's table is covering the background. I think she wants the background to show through instead of getting rid of it completely.

Tammy, to do this, you need to use the value #XXXXXX in all three of the following fields in the Edit Styles section of your backroom:

1. Site Border Color
2. Inner Background Color
3. Menu Color

If it isn't in all three fields, it doesn't work.

Also, just to follow up on James' mention of not double posting, I see you added that post just a few minutes after the first post. If you need to say more after your first post (and before anyone else has posted), you can just use the edit button at the bottom of your own post to add more to it instead of posting again.

Ah, good. I think tiredness is my problem at the moment. ^_^;

As a footenote I should add that it might be worth visiting www.founderweb.com for some more general information on HTML. A lot of that stuff is quite useful on myOtaku, since posts themselves are fully-modifiable using code.

AHH! Sorry about the double post! And I didn't even know about the edit feature, on the rules it says 'edit post' so I was like, how?, so now I feel very dumb >< (I just noticed it).

Anyway, thanks for the help. Huggles to you both. I'm gonna go try that now.

...IT WORKS! Thanks so much :catgirl: :animesmil
