The showing was indeed an interesting one in Riana's mind for the moment. Many things the servants had been able to train their puppies to do and Riana only had hers for a day and wasn't even able to compare. But still Ryu was very obedient when it was their turn. Things were a little slower for him as it was time for him to show off and perform a few small stunts. But he was still given treats by Riana for the jobs the tasks he tried to complete.

For a moment Riana felt just like Ryu, trying hard to impress the Master of Games. As the other contestants had their turn Riana clapped in unison with the others and kept glancing at the contestants. She was a little happy that Jacqueline showed up, but inside she felt a little silly with a new pup and no experience. A dogs bark snapped Riana out of her train of thought and she continued to smile and clapped as another contestant came forward.

Think about what you'll be getting out of this Riana. She began to think to herself. She needed to change her attitude, she needed to transform herself, then she remembered what she was about to do a few nights before she came here. That was needed again soon. But what or who could she direct that to. As the contest proceeded Riana looked at the participants march through and even at some of the contestants. Some seemed to have been missing, but no bother. She just needed to be at the right place at the right time.

Sakura flipped from the uneven bars into a proper landing position as a servant entered the gym. She was panting slightly and picked up a towel, mopping the sweat from her face.

"Miss Hiwatari, I have come to tell you that dinner is at 6.00 pm." he bowed.

"Thankyou." she said, she looked at the time and cursed, she gathered up whatever she had brought with her and ran through the halls to her room.

Sakura looked at her bed and saw the things she had requested earlier. She turned away from them and undressed, throwing her sweaty clothes into a hamper. She took a cool, refreshing shower, washing the sweat from her body.

Sakura dried off and dressed into the clothes on the bed, then she threw on a long trench coat over to conceal it. She grabbed the items she had requested and left the room. A servant passed and she gave them to him.

"I need someone to throw these to me when I need them at dinner." she said, he nodded and took them away.

Sakura re-entered her room and applied some light make-up, she stretched out her body before going to dinner.

As she left her room, a loud shriek was heard through the mansion, Sakura jumped from the loud noise, she was worried but wasn't sure what to do, so she made the decision to continue on to the dining room.

No one else was around, so she took a seat and waited for the others to arrive.

James dropped the hard, white thing on the floor, and the knife clattered down as well. He ran to the bathroom adjoined to Allegra's room, and threw up. He knelt with his head in the toilet for at least half an hour, as he had been doing a lot recently.

He stood and washed his face with cold water. He poked his head out of the bathroom to see Allegra wrapping the stump of her finger in bandages, the blood soaking them crimson. She had picked up the bone of the finger and thrown it into the waste paper basket.

"Allegra?" he asked, "Can I use your toothbrush? I'll get you a new one as soon as I can."

"Sure you can," she said, her voice stammering, her hand now cradled in the other hand.

James took the toothbrush and squirted a generous amount of toothpaste onto it. He brushed his teeth for almost ten minutes continuously, until the foam around his mouth turned pink from blood that had been drawn from his gums. He rinsed and threw the toothbrush away.

"Thank you," he said, wiping his mouth. Allegra was crying as she cradled her injured hand. James went over to her and put a comforting arm around her.

"Listen, this guy is sick. I can only imagine what runs through his mind, but he has made some people do some pretty disgusting stuff. God knows I have to. So just don't cry, and we'll get through this. Ok?"

She nodded, drying her eyes.

"Good. Now let's go down to dinner. We'll show this sick bastard what we're made of."

Riana and Ryu moved back to the house quickly as the show ended, she didn't care to hear if she won or lost but was drained from parading herself this morning. She needed a soak and she needed to get ready for dinner. She could even see that Ryu was hungry and a little tired from the day. She carried him up the stairs as he began to fall behind. He snuggled in her arms and lay his head down on her as she continued to walk up the stairs.
She entered her room and placed Ryu on a towel in the bathroom and began to run a bath for herself. He looked at her with sleepy eyes as she stepped into the room grabbed a few essentials and returned. She undressed and entered the tub the water hot to her skin as it kept flowing in. Her body immediately feeling all the stress wash away.

"How do you think we did Ryu?" She spoke to him casually and then turned off the water and leaned over the tub and looked at him. He yawned and placed his head at his paws and continued to look at her then he closed his eyes for a long awaited nap.

"I wish I could do that about now." She sighed and began to wash herself in the hot water. Slowly rejuvinaing her tired muscles. After about 30 minutes of just soaking she stepped out of the tub and wrapped a towel over her body before grabbing her puppy and placing him on the bed. He yawned again curled up and napped some more. She dressed for dinner, then sat on the bed and stared at the clock.

Only 20 minutes to go.

Jacqueline left the show and made her way to her rooms. The results of the competition would probably be announced during dinner. She entered her room and lounged across her deep comfortable bed. The tropical pink flowers had been changed for fresh ones while she was gone. She inhaled them deeply and rolled over, crushing the carpet between her toes as she crossed the room, her dress flowing as she walked. She looked in the mirror. She felt that she wanted to look beautiful at dinner that night. She didn?t know why, but she had an urge to look her best.

Jacqueline went to the drawer where she had placed her jewelry upon arrival. She thought the tropical blue dress she wore now was perfect as far as flattering her basic shape and setting off her eyes and hair. But she needed to wear a necklace with a dress with that low a neck. After a few moments, she brought out a three tiered shell necklace her grandmother had sent her from France. She put that on, ran a brush though her hair and headed down the stairs to dinner.

She was early, so she took a minute to drift back toward the ballroom. There Jacqueline leaned in the doorway and watched the lights dance across the mirrors. In her mind, she saw finely dressed couples, dancing across the glass to a familiar tune. She felt the warm breeze from the circular porch as it swept across the floor and smelled the glorious cooking from the kitchen near by. She imagined herself dancing among the people gathered in her mind, held in his arms?

A scream ripped through the mansion a tore her from her thoughts. Turning she hurried back up the stairs. As a journalist, she was naturally nosey, but that scream had hit her to the bone, someone was in pain. She ran up to the hall and turned in the direction of the scream. Approaching the door her hand paused before knocking. What if this was a card? Her card alone had been enough to make anyone want to scream, what if this was something just as horrible. No, she couldn?t just turn her back on this. She knocked urgently

?Is everything alright? Do you need help in there??

She thought she heard a man's voice, but a woman answered, ?No? no I?ll be fine. Don?t bother yourself. ?

Jacqueline paused. She didn?t want to just leave her, but she knew she had to. Without another word, she turned and started to walk back down toward the dinning room?

Day 1, 2:00 PM, the Front Door

"So, little Mieruru," the Master said casually as Mieruru followed him back up the stairwell to the front door, "Did you enjoy the show?" They stepped through the door, and once again began winding their way through the impossibly complicated maze of hallways. Mieruru looked up with a smile.

"Yes, Master, it was a lot of fun!" She replied exhuberantly, "I think miss...erm..Riana? Yeah, that's it. I think miss Riana put on a really good show." The little kitty tail swished back and forth. Probably 'cause she was walking too fast. She slowed down a little.

"Yes, miss Riana did do a remarkable job, considering what little time she had to prepare herself..." the Master laughed quietly to himself. A horrible shriek suddenly pierced the relative silence of the hallway, stopping Mieruru cold in her tracks. Her eyes darted around, up, down, everywhere, fear-stricken. She turned, wide-eyed, to the Master.

"Wha-what was th-that?" the Master turned, a somewhat vacant expression across his face.

"Hmmm...? Ah, that. Well. It's nothing, little Mieruru. Don't worry yourself over it. I'm sure it was just one of our other guests...probably just had a little accident..." As the Master turned to resume his casual walk, Mieruru could've almost sworn she saw a self-satisfied smirk coming across the Master's face, but it was so brief a change, it could've been just a trick of the lights.

Finally, they arrived at the Master's room again. The Master stretched slightly before shaking to relax his muscles. A thought suddenly occurred to Mieruru. "Ummm...Mr. Master? Sir?" the Master turned to face her with a soft smile.

"Yes, little Mieruru?" he said softly, before turning back to smooth out the comforter on one section of the bed.

"I...never thanked you for your gift." Mieruru indicated the kitty ears and tail she was still wearing. The Master turned his head to face her.

"Oh, those?" he laughed lightly, "I had hoped you would like them."

"Oh, they're wonderful! But, I was wondering how-"

"You have to understand, Mieruru. You seemed like the kind of girl who loves little kitties. I could tell when I first saw you." Mieruru tried to hide her surprise. The Master was clever indeed if he could 'read' peoples' personalities so easily. The Master walked towards the oversized bathroom, cracking his neck softly.

"I...really like them. Thank you..." Mieruru said quietly, bowing slightly. The Master looked back at her for a moment, an uncomfortable smile crossing his face.

"I'm glad you like them, Mieruru. I'm sure you've become quite...attached to them." With a surpressed laugh, he closed the in front of him. Mieruru heard his voice through the door.

"I'm getting ready for dinner, Mieruru. You can do the same if you wish."

Mieruru nodded to nobody in particular, and grabbed the elegant but small dress that was suddenly waiting for her on the bed, not even questioning where it had come from.

Whoever that was, Allegra thanked them for being concerned, but she couldn't face anyone at the moment. The pain was slowly, very slowly, ebbed away. She wanted to thank whoever it was who was concerned about her.

In the corners of her eyes, Allegra still had tears - tears of pure pain and disgust. James wiped them away with a finger before giving her another comforting hug. She didn't dare look at her hand. She knew there was blood seeping through it - her blood. A cold sweat broke out on her forehead.

" The Master is one sick man...." she said softly to James as they walked into the corridor towards the dining room together. She didn't feel like eating, but she had to prove to the Master that this wasn't going to overcome her... like her brother didn't.

When they entered the corridor, Allegra saw a retreating back.
" Excuse me!" Allegra called out. " Were you the one that knocked on my door before?"

The girl spun around and looked back along the hall. " Yeah, that was me." She came up to them. James was still looking ill from what Allegra had requested him to do. Allegra's face was still white with pain but she forced a smile on her lips.

" Thank you for being concerned about me."
" What happened?"
" Oh... a little accident with the door. James accidently shut it on my right hand's little finger."
" Oh... it sounded like you were in real pain."
" Well he slammed it rather hard."
" Oh...."
" What's your name?"
" Jacqueline."
" Nice to meet you Jacqueline. My name's Allegra. And this is James. We're pleased to meet you."

Jacqueline smiled

?It?s a pleasure to meet you. James and I met earlier? James smiled at her. He didn?t look too well. In fact, he rather resembled her reflection from earlier. ?Are you headed to dinner?" Allegra nodded and James stepped forward between them, offering his elbows.

?Shall we??

Allegra and Jacqueline exchanged looks, obviously neither was used to this kind of chivalry. They then smiled, each taking an arm and he walked them down the stairs.

It was then Jacqueline noticed Allegra?s bandage. It was quickly turning red.

?Have you tried ? closing it??

?Closing it??

?That injury to your hand. It looks as if it needs stitches, or you could try burning it.?
Allegra looked sharply at Jacqueline.

?I know, burning would be highly painful, I agree but??

?But it would work? James finished for her.

"Right..." Jacqueline looked up at JAmes for a moment, then turned to Allegra to explain"... my father is a chef, kitchen accidents, he's had some knife injuries."

?OK, maybe I should see the doctor before dinner. Please, make my excuses to the master should he arrive before me. If they can?t stitch it now, maybe they can provide a better bandage to stop the bleeding.?

Jacqueline squeezed her shoulder reassuringly as she left them, then she and James entered the dinning room to see what was to be served up next in this game?

Kaine was not at dinner. James noticed this about three minutes after walking into the dining hall. He looked around, trying to find him, but could not.

"I'm gonna go try and find Kaine," he said to Jacqueline, getting up from his chair, "Make my excuses to the Master, will you?"

He slipped out of the door, and crept to the guest's rooms. He found Kaine's room, and edged the door open a little. He saw two shadows from the bathroom, one obviously Kaine's, the other a young woman's.

"This toilet isn't blocked," she said, "And if the toilet isn't blocked, then why did you call me up here?"

"I called you up here for one thing," came the reply, a gruff voice, and then a muffled scream, as though a hand had been clamped over the woman's mouth. James saw a scuffling of shadows, and a woman being thrown on the bed. Kaine jumped on her, and ripped open her shirt.

James gasped, and edged back to his room. He grabbed the knife from under his bed, and crept back to Kaine's room, the knife dangling loosely in his hand. He opened the door, and saw Kaine on the bed, openly straddling the young woman.

"Sick bastard," whispered James. But he said it too loud. Kaine looked up, and saw him there.

"James!" he shouted, "What are you doing here? This is my room, and if I want to entertain a lady friend, then you have no right to interfere!"

"Well, if you're entertaining her, then why is she tied to the bed with a sock in her mouth, and why is she struggling so much?" asked James coldly, walking towards Kaine, hiding the knife behind his back.

Kaine edged backwards into the bathroom, looking more and more nervous as he went.

"Dude, what are you doing?" he said, stammering slightly.

"I don't want the girl to see this," he said. He threw Kaine to the floor of the bathroom, and kicked him in the ribs. Then he revealed the knife.

"What the hell!? Are you psychotic? What are you gonna do to me?"

"What someone should have done a long time ago, Kaine. I'm going to take the rape from the rapist." He lifted the knife, and brought it down sharply...

* * *

Twenty minutes later...

James walked slowly out of the bathroom, drying his hands on a towel. The young girl was still tied to the bed. James walked over and untied her. She sat up, crying, and cradled her stomach slightly.

"Oh, God," she stammered, "I hope he didn't hurt the baby."

"You're pregnant?" asked James, "How long?"

"Six months. But I'm kind of embarassed about it."

"What are you embarassed about?" asked James, moving towards the girl, putting an arm around her.

"I don't know whether its my husband's or not. I had one night with this guy about six months ago, and I haven't been able to contact him since, so I can't get a DNA test to verify it. It's the worst thing in the world, not knowing whether your unborn child belongs to the person you love or the person you made a mistake with."

James ran through a list in his head, thinking about his task. The last thing he needed was right here. But could he take it?

He grabbed the knife, and pulled it slowly out of his shoe. The girl was crying more and more now, obviously traumatised by her experience.

* * *

Another twenty minutes later...

James walked into the dining hall, slightly dazed, and sat down. He was wearing different clothes to the ones he was wearing when he left, and his mouth tasted slightly of vomit. He felt woozy, and when he moved the chair, he practically collapsed into it. Jacqueline looked at him, worried.

"Are you alright? You were gone a long time. And where's Kaine? Did you find him?" she asked.

He turned his head to look at Jacqueline, and nodded slightly. The Master's own personal manservant came in at that exact moment, and made an announcement.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please do not be alarmed," he said, his voice loud and clear, "But there is a killer somewhere in the mansion. One of the contestants, a certain Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley, has been found, murdered and mutilated in unspeakable ways, in his room. Please return to your rooms, and preferably stay with one or two other people when in your rooms. Do not wander the halls alone, and if you need anything, please call the servants, they will bring it up to you. Good evening."

"Jacqueline," said James, "Will you stay with me tonight? Please? I feel as though I have a bond with you. We shouldn't be alone, and it will give us a chance to get to know each other a little better."

"Everyone...be seated and remain calm. I know who the killer is...believe me, you all are not in danger...so please..sit down and relax, enjoy yourself till dinner is ready to be brought out."

With some hesitation, everyone sat back in their seats and remained quiet...the master realized this and noticed Mieruru looking up at him from his side with concerned eyes.

He made a nod in Sakura's direction and she was passed a note from one of his servants...

Jacqueline looked at him with a slight surprise but she was glad he thought of her ?Thank you James I?? The other guests stood in a panic and started to leave. The master looked over the situation and then stood, ordering the other guests to calm.

With some hesitation, everyone sat back in their seats and remained quiet. Jacqueline took this all in with some interest, some fear. A murderer? she looked up at James who placed a comforting hand on top of her's.

"Lady's and gentlemen, we have some special events going on this evening...and I wish for you all to enjoy them."

The master made a nod in Sakura's direction and one of the servants handed her a note.

Riana sat at the dinner table and glanced from side to side following but confused as to the conversation thus far. She only sat there with her mouth shut and her eyes gripping the envelope that was delievered to her only minutes before the dinner started. She read it there and thanked the servant, she grabbed Ryu and before the servant could leave asked him to take her to the kitchen.

She floowed the servant quickly and they reached the outskirts of dining room but made a sharp turn into the kitchen.

She saw a gentleman with a knife and a chopping board. She approached him slowly. Telling him what she wanted for dinner.

"How would you like your meat cooked?" The burly guy asked.

"Not..too well done please."

20 minutes later

As she sat at the table her head was not totally concentrating on the conversation that was afloat. She knew that Kaine was dead but that didn't phase her at al, niether did the posiblity of finding out what James had collected for the Masterl. She just kept looking around soon settling her eyes and staring at the Master. He sensed her glare and glanced back at her.

" Is something wrong Riana?" Everyone's attention focused on her.

"No!" She replied shaking her head nervously. " Just a little worked up from this afternoon."

"Ah yes!" he started. "I would imagine so. I believe that was your first contest correct?"

" Of that kind yes. Thanks for the experience. She cleared her throat and took a drink of water, then continued her statement. I'll never forget it."

the Master looked at her and smiled, the slowly responded " I'm sure you'll be coming across a bunch of firsts here, Riana. He began to look around the table "Actually I think all of you will. Now come let us stop this idle talk and enjoy dinner."

The table became a little quiet as the servers slowly started to file in. She looked at them as they filed in her stomach tying into knots. The conversations around her began to pick up.

She made no attempt to carry a conversation. She just stared at a large silver covered platter emerging. Some glanced at the platter as it was brought out. Complementing on the wonderful aroma as it circled the table and was placed directly in front of Riana.

"For you ma'am as requested." The server spoke, and uncovered the dish.

"Smells like you got something good-" Mieruru stopped mid sentence as lifted up to glance at Riana's platter.

Everyone else had essentially done the same, they quickly turned away as they saw the small animal hairless and lifeless, but otherwise whole laying on the platter. They all seemed to recognize immediately as Riana had what it was.

The server stood behind Rianam finally interjecting, "Anything else you need to go with that Ms. Riana."

She looked at him and smiled. "No thanks this is more than enough.," she replied cooly as he departed and she turned back to her plate.

She glanced over her entree once again as her stomach began to tighten up.

Eat Riana! Feeling herself shake from the inside out she gripped a knife and fork in each hand. Soon loosening it up and Taking a gulp of water and closing her eyes for a moment before settling her eys once again at the lifeless being in front of her.

She had everyones attention by now.

"Not hunrgy tonight Riana?" The Master asked.

She swallowed hard and then looked directly into the Master's eyes.

" It's not that at all."

Sick bastard I can play hard ball too. She grasped her fork and knife and began to cut the meat in front of her, soon replying more. "The meat looked a little dry." She said placing a small cut piece of meat in her mouth and chewing slowly. She took another sip of water, swallowing down the first bite and then cut some more meat and began to chew once again this time speaking as she continued to chew " I usually like my dog a little less well done than this. But my compliments to the chef."

She picked up a glass of wine and took a sip. Before getting another piece of meat in her mouth. Everyine else around her only continued to stare at her in shock as she casually continued to cut and eat her former pet, Ryu.

Day 0

Allegra silently thanked Jacqueline for realising what she had done to herself. A smile spread on her full lips for a few moments as she walked towards the doctor's wing. She hoped James was all right. He seemed like he was doing more than his share of the cards lately. Even before she asked him to do what she had to, he looked rather white and sickly.

" I wonder what sick and sadistic plans the Master had planned for James... he seems like such a nice person, even though his reputation proceeds him. What could be his fears?"

As Allegra pondered this, she came to the doctor's office. She knocked. There was a soft answer from behind the door, beckoning her to come in. An elderly man sat at a desk, looking at the door, his chin resting on his hands.

" So you're the one..."

=======================================

Allegra made her way very wearily to the dining hall. The pain in her hand was excruciating. She had never felt such physical torment before. It was amazing at how much it hurt. She knew what emotional pain was, but this, this was in a realm of its own.

As she approached the doors, she heard the mentioning of a murderer on the loose. Her natural police instincts kicked in. Allegra shook her head.

" It's no time to be a cop. This is survival of the fittest... and the most cunning."

Allegra pushed the doors open to see Jacqueline and James sitting near to the doors. She joined them, trying not to let on that the pain in her hand had increased ten-fold.

" Evening James... Jacqueline."
" How was it?" Jacqueline asked, looking at Allegra.
" Painful... but I think it's going to heal over fine." She noticed James' white face. " What's happened?"
James shook his head as he stood and left the room. Allegra wondered what in the hell had happened. Her eyes wandered up to the end of the table and firmly caught the Master's gaze. She glared at him. She wondered what in the world made a man like this do this to people.

People do a lot of stupid things for money... said a voice in her mind. Privately, Allegra agreed.

Sakura had waited, trembling in anticipation. She was a bundle of nerves about what she was about to do.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have some special events going on this evening...and I wish for you all to enjoy them."

Sakura had his eyes on him when he turned his head slightly and gave a nod in her direction. Suddenly a servant appeared beside her and handed her a note. Sakura opened it and read it quickly, it was only comprised of a sentence. She tucked it into trenchcoat pocket and pushed her chair back, standing up from her seat. Sakura tried to calm her nerves and took a deep breath as she opened the tie of her coat and flung it from her body.

The coat had covered all the way down to her ankles, and now what was beneath was revealed. She wore a sexy, semi-transparent, red dress that was tight, and clung to her body in some areas, but loose and flowing in others, along with a long slit up to her left thigh. She had talked to a lot of the servants earlier to prepare the whole thing out.

The lights dimmed and she walked out into an open area at the opposite end of the table from where the master was sitting. There was silence, with only the sound of her heels as she walked along the wooden floor. She struck a pose and the music started slowly with a heavy beat.

Sakura steeled herself from practise and changed into a different person as the music started up, she kicked out her right leg and bent her head back and stepped forward, spinning and she moved to the end of the room and she ran forward a few steps before twisting into a gymnastic routine of backflips, cartwheels and ending with her constricting her body and launching off the floor to land on the table in a laid out position, with her left arm stretched out toward the master.

The music thrummed now and Sakura got up, running her hands down her body while walking along the table, nimbly avoiding the dishes, glasses and cutlery. She stopped in the middle of the long table and danced to the music sexually.

Sakura finished up and struck a pose as the music ended before hopping off the table and returning to her seat, picking up her coat and just wearing it loosely since everyone had seen what she hid. Sakura was back to her regular, shy self and flushed about what she had just done.

James paled as he reached his hand into his pocket. Mieruru was looking at him expectantly, and he was white with fear, making everyone else at the table look at him nervously.

"To explain to you why I have been disappearing a lot recently," said James, his voice stammering slightly, "The Master has sent me on a little treasure hunt. I had to find five items around the house, and the Master gave me a weapon with which to find them. He gave me this knife." James threw the knife down upon the table defiantly.

"And the five items were?" asked the Master, a devilish grin appearing on his face, "Please place them on the table in front of Mieruru, telling us what each one is as you go."

James took the first item from his pocket.

"First item," he said, laying the plastic bag down in front of Mieruru, "The tongue of a beast. This is from a pig I found in the kitchen."

He took the next two items from his pocket.

"The second and third items I got from the same person. Number two: the heart of a faggot, and number three: the hand of a masturbator. Both of these came from a kitchen servant I happened to come across."

The next bloody plastic bag came from his pocket.

"Next item came from Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley, and I took them, slowly, before I killed him. Item number four: the manlyhood of a rapist."

The final bag remained hidden under the table.

"And the final item?" asked the Master excitedly.

"The final item was the worst of all of them. Taken from a practically innocent girl I found with Kaine. Item number five," he produced the bag, inside which was a completely unrecognisable, bloody item, "The unborn child of an adulterous mother." He threw the bag down on the table.

"I hope you're happy," said James, "I've participated in your sick little game. Now tell me what I have to do next."

"Funny. You seem disgusted. But I saw the video footage. There were cameras inside Kaine's bathroom, inside all of your bathrooms. I saw you kill him. You were laughing as he screamed for mercy like a little girl. You cut his manlyhood away, and as he lay there bleeding, you sat and you watched him. You took pleasure as his life ebbed away in great suffering. You can't look me in the eye, James Gregson, and say that when you took his life, you didn't enjoy it just one little bit."

"You are sick."

"Look me in the eye, James, and tell me you did not enjoy killing Kaine Maxwell-Kingsley."

James turned to Jacqueline and Allegra.

"Please," he pleaded, "Don't think less of me because of this. I was only doing it because otherwise he would kill me. I had to bring him his items in fourty-eight hours, and my life would be spared. Please, I was only doing what any of you would do."

Allegra was the first to stand up.

"I faced my fear to complete my card. You had to do horrendous things, I understand that. But I cannot forget the fact that you have killed three people in the last two days. Please, James, don't talk to me any more."

"Jacqueline," he said, turning to her, "You have to see what I have gone through. Please, don't you leave me as well!"

"I-I'm not sure I can look at you right now, James. I understand that you were doing it to save your own life, but to kill three people. That is something I cannot condone. I'm sorry..."

"No!" he shouted, turning to the Master, "You see what your sick, twisted little games have done! You've destroyed me!"

He slumped into his chair, his eyes glazed over, his face blank. The Master got to his feet, and begant to speak...

(OOC: Sorry about my last post, Kairi, I didn't mean to try and take control. Do whatever you have to now, you sick, twisted individual...)

"I-I'm not sure I can look at you right now, James. Look, I understand that you were doing it to save your own life, but to kill three people... that is something I just cannot condone. I'm sorry..." Jacqueline spoke through the shock and horror of what she had just witnessed, it didn?t even sound like her voice

"No!" James shouted, turning to the Master, "You see what your sick, twisted little games have done! You've destroyed me!"

He slumped into his chair, his eyes glazed over, his face blank. The Master got to his feet, and began to speak...

Jacqueline couldn?t hear him. She just stared at the table. Too many things were running through her mind. Sakura's card had obviously been an attempt to humiliate her. Riana had been forced to eat her dog which she had walked beside so proudly only a couple hours before. The mere thought of what that emotional pain must be like brought a glisten to Jacqueline?s eyes. She suspected that Allegra too had lost her finger not in an accident, but from some task of the master?s. And what James had done was horrendous. But the master seemed committed to drawing the worst from all of them, forcing them into a form of twisted survival?

She had voiced complete disgust with James? actions, and it did go against everything she ever believed to be able to kill another person? particularly that mother...

However, upon entering the mansion she had assumed that if there was any task they decided not to complete, they could just walk away. Now, looking in the master?s cold twinkling eyes, how he fed of James? pain, she wasn?t so sure if any of them would be walking away from this venture?

Jacqueline pulled a small pad and a pen from her purse. She placed them in her lap and, never moving her gaze from the table, scribbled out a short note and passed it to James...

(OOC: I'll pm the note to you Fallen)

Day 1, 7:23 PM, the Dining Hall

Mieruru stared down at the bagged, bloody...things placed in front of her. She felt sick to her stomach. She pushed her plate away, not even vaguely aware of anything being nearly shouted between the others. The food she had already just eaten sat coldly in her stomach. She stared at the bags, and their deformed contents.

And she shuddered.

The Master looked down at her with an interested glint in his eye. He smiled coldly. "So, little Mieruru. Do you like James' present?" He thought for a moment while she choked on his words. "I actually think it's a very...considerate gift."

Mieruru's face whipped around up to look at the Master, stark horror in her eyes. No way he would do this. It was...inhumane! Way, way beyond the line! But from such a kind, gentle old man...? No. Mieruru refused to believe that this man, who had treated her with such kindness, was capable of such horrible things as to order another human to do that.

Mieruru forced herself to stand up, sending the chair crashing backwards. She was trembling, tears beginning to form at the edge of her eyes. She stormed out of the dining hall, blindly running down the hallways until she found her way to the Master's room, mostly by luck. A haunting laugh seemed to follow her, the laugh of a cold-blooded mind. She opened the door to the Master's room, and threw herself under the covers of the bed, shaking.

The Master would never make anyone do that...

Some time later, she heard the sound of the door opening. She squealed as she felt five wet thuds against the covers she was crying under. And she heard a voice. "You left in such a rush, little one, that you forgot your gifts..."

Riana ate as much of the animal as she could. She swallowed down another gulp of wine to force down the dry meat and pushed the plate aside. She couldn't stomach another bite. As the servants came around to pick up the dishes she made sure to stop the individual who picked up her plate.

She whispered gently in his ear and she had another glass of wine poured in her cup. The red liquid went smoothly down her throat. She sat back in the chair, closed her eyes and cleared her mind of the small animal that she cared for for the past 24 hours.

When she opened her eyes, things around her were in full swing. She thought things couldn't get more hectic, but Sakura's dance only turned her on, and James' show of emotion made her feel slightly for the man, but she heard worse in her lifetime and knew it was only a matter of time before Jacqueline and James were buddy buddy again. They were in the same boat and she knew it as well as they did.

It's better to have someone with you...

Riana's mom said that often after seeing her baby do so many things alone. Riana relived the memory even throughout all the dramatics going on in front of her.

Mi nina. Why you all alone? Go have fun. Stop waiting for things to come to you go out and get it yourself.

Easier said than done mama.

You remind me alot of Abuela. She was just like you but you will realize just like she did that this is not what life is about. She was very alone after abuelo died and she felt there was nothing else left in this world but do die. But you know what. She met someone and they are very happy now. Its always better to have someone with you, to enjoy each others company to experience new things together. To have each others back. You'll see one day. Listen to your mama. You'll see...

Riana smiled to herself and opened her eyes to see what other festivities lay before her. She decided not to let the trouble of being alone get to her now. She had dealt with it before and she could deal with it again. After a few moments of silence Riana cleared her throat and spoke up.

"Sakura, I have to say that your dance was a good one. " She winked before continuing. "But just a touch bit off tempo for me." She sipped from the wine glass once more. Are there any other festivities you have planned for us tonight Master? If not I'd like to retire for the night.
