Guest Yamchaa
Hey guys ^^ Im Yamcha Im new here at theotaku boards, but ive been a member of the Myotaku section for almost 2 years now. Since then, my anime collection has grown from inconspicuous-ness to pretty steep in size. For a while now, ive been wondering how cool it would be to have an "Anime Collection section" here at theotaku. I mean, they have a cosplay section, hubs for different anime , review sections, and so on. Sadly to say ive been asking around for quite a while, but with my myotaku site, ive only managed to get so far, so today i took a step and registered here at theotaku boards, which i must say is quite a site indeed ^^ Im hoping maybe i can be heard here and hopefully we can get some opinions flying around. I just think it would be cool to actually prove to people how much of an anime fan you are, with pics, comments and stories about how your collection has risen from the ranks of obscurity to the heights of greatness and the only way that comes to mind is through the help of a section based solely on fan's collections. Anyways, it's just an idea, maybe we can make a difference ^^ thanks for your time, Yamcha

Dagger
Thing is, a venture like this would require a tremendous amount of resources & effort to even start catching up with the more popular DVD collection sites (not to mention that ListerX all but has a monopoly on the manga & merchandise niche). If anything, the type of stuff you're describing here--i.e. using pictures and anecdotes to give people an idea of what you're collecting--is best suited for, well, one's personal myO page. That's my take on it, anyway. ~Dagger~
Horendithas
I?ve seen other myOtaku users sign up for a different webservice that is free to build their own site regarding different things like stories they have written, art they have drawn, etc. If such a thing is not going to be done here you could do what others have done by building a seperate site about your collection and then providing a link on your myOtaku page so visitors could go and check out your site if they so desired. Sara
I have to admit, the idea of a myO "feature" that lists one's anime collection would be an interesting perk, particularly if you could write notes on what you thought of it, where/when you purchased it, etc. It's something I wouldn't mind seeing.
