RPG The Mixed Experiment [PG VLS]

Chrysanthema sighed, not being able to hide behind a small smile any longer. As soon as the fighting had ceased, she left the table. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"I'm going out for a while?later," [/COLOR] she called from the door.

As much as hanging around there was fun and all, she needed a little quiet time. Glancing around, she left the quiet streets to fly around for a while. Maybe explore the city a little. She could feel the chill in the air, more sensitive to the temperature due to her customary environment. She perched herself at one of the outer walls, looking elsewhere over the area beyond the city.

[Lionheart]

Gale walked outside of the bar. He slowly scanned the area. He was right. They where in the Fujin Kingdom. He slowly breathed in the air of Fujin.
'Great to be home." He began his long walk to the kingdom.. To meet his mother. The queen of Fujin.

The guards let him through the large gates as he strolled through the castle to the 6th level. He reached the throne room as his mother talked quietly to her right hand man, Belon.
"Hello mother." His mothers face let up as she noded her head.
"It is good to see alive Gale. I was scared that my son died in battle.'
He bowed slowly. It would be devestation to his mother if the prince of the kingdom died. Only to her was he a prince. he never took that title. He wanted to be a knight of honor. a True leader.
"Mother to cut to the point. I would like to lead a small army to defend The Highlands captial." He had to do it. It was the only place they would go before they attack the castle.
"Please let me."

[Starwind]

Emilio was feeling full from his meal, he just ate a whole deer, nothing left but the bones on that thing. He walked to the exit "Do I really want to go to the damn city again?" He hesitated and jumped in the water. He used the water ans started to build momentum to get the hell into the city, they didn't particularly care for him there. He was well knowna nd ahted for his habit of showing no loyalty, as such, he's gotten into quiet a bit of trouble with the locals. He had to break into the city if he wanted in, and unbelieveably, he wanted in. He drove himself around the lake til the water in it began swirling and drawing a center. He hurrdled himself from the water with unimaginable speed. He flew over the gate and landed in the city streets. He could already hear a commotion from some of the guards "Don't those clowns ever take a break. Hopefully they didn't notice it was me." He ran off and hid in the sewer track on the side of the street. Once he felt the coast was clear he got up and went about his way. He had only just now cleaned himself up when he should bump right into Chrys "Ohh, hey there babe."

Chrysanthema turned with a rare but unmistakable scowl. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Don't call me 'babe'," [/COLOR] she warned, obviously a little ticked.[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"The name's Chrys. Keep it as such?so what brings you to the city?" [/COLOR] She was under the impression before that he wasn't particularly interested in coming.

Emilio shrugged lightly.[COLOR=DarkOrchid] "Eh, I felt like it. What are doing out by yourself away from everyone else?"

"I felt like leaving the bar. You can join the guys if they're still there."[/COLOR]

[Starwind]

Emilio smiled "No thanks, not much of a drinker. I am a Kappa, give me some clean spring water and I'm happy." he said with his sarcastic smile. He looked at her still not sure why he came all this way for this place "So....uhhh....why did you come if you didn't feel like hanging out in the bar with those other dorks?"

[Deadpool]

Sarin picked up one last guy and threw him out the wall nailing the kappa and sending him across the street. "Oops, my bad" He smiled as Amer started laughing. Sarin paid for the damdges and the three of them walked out the door. "Hey kappa, I ain't entirely human so I heard what you said. So I would watch it"

Amer smiled. "Maybe we should beat him"

"Sarin shook his head. "No let him be. Achillles, We will see you later unless you want to come"

Chrys laughed behind her hand as Emilio turned to snap at Sarin. She put the other hand lightly on his shoulder. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Don't bother. It serves you right for calling everyone dorks."[/COLOR] She turned around, debating on which direction to take. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"The reason I left the bar, was to get some fresh air and become use to the environmental surroundings here. I've never been this far from Mt. Hino and the other volcanoes."[/COLOR]

[Darth Vectis]

[COLOR=DarkGreen][SIZE=1]Achilles shook his head at Sarins offer.

[B]"Sorry guys, but I need to heal up. I am only mortal, so i'll see you guys when we are leaving."[/B] Sarin nodded his head and him and Amer walked away. Achilles smiled and shook his head lightly, he walked over to the where Emilio and Chrys stood and laughed lightly. Emilio dusted himself off and looked at Achilles with an angry look.

"Whats so funny human?"[/B] Achilles smiled dulled to a straight face.

[B]"Whats funny is that you don't respect the people around you and you get punished for it in the end."[/B] Achilles stepped closer till he was only about a foot away from Emilio.

[B]"You look at everyone as inferior, and that mercenary. Will be your downfall, as long as you treat us like we are nothing. Nothing is what you will get in return.[/B]" Achilles turned and walked down another street.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

Emilio mutterd under his breath as Achilles walked away "What good are others? They just get in the way. And when there done using you, they dump you." achilles looked back to him for a moment and walked away. He turned to Chrys again "Well, I'm hear and I don't know why. But, I guess that I should enjoy myself." Emilio put his head bck downand he turned and walked off down an alley, the words he said as Achilles walked away still ringing in his head. He began to feel sad, then depressed "others are useless."

[Deadpool]

"See ya Achilles" Sarin and Amer headed up the road. "Which place should we rob now. We can change into our demon forms and be out before the Guild shows up"

Chrysanthema flew off to a secluded spot outside the city boundary. If she knew Gale well enough, they would have something to do relatively soon and figured to take advantage of the quiet time to train.

Placing her weapon in the ground standing straight up, the winged demon sat Indian style on the grassy clearing and closed her eyes to meditate on controlling energy flows for a while. She was getting better, but still not where she hoped to be. Then again, she was never the type to do her homework.

The wind picked up a little bit, and Chrys felt like there might be a storm on its way. Hopefully not too close?She looked at the sky, noting the position changes. It grew darker than before. Oh well, the girl wouldn't let a little thing like the dark stop her from practicing.

Picking up her scythe blade, she concentrated on an invisible opponent that only she could see. To anybody else it would look as if fighting with air, but Chrysanthema was so detached form what was going on in the outside world she didn't pay any attention. All she could see was what her mind saw, not the eye.

Emilio stopped in the slum district of town. He looked down the streets and saw gangs, homeless, and the destitute. Emlio looked on with his dry empty gaze "This is what society truly is. The land of the disgarded. I guess I have more in common with the people here then I thought. He walked from that place and headed to the uptown district and watched the wealthy upper class go about there little lives. He watched these people, this time with anger "These are people who would disgard others to better themselves. They are the real enemy of man." He walked back through the alley, he had come here to enjoy himself, but now he rememberd how miserable this place made him. He headed for the gate and left this damn place and decided to sit outside til the others were ready to leave. He went outside the gates and saw chrys sitting out in the grass. He decided to leave her be for the moment and went off by himself to meditate. He walked away still locked in misery "People use you and lose you. Just like her."

[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Ack!" [/COLOR] Thud. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"ughk." [/COLOR] Chrys rubbed an ankle as she glared at the offending rock that she stumbled backwards over. Eh, so it would be a pinkish color for a while. No big deal when you stop to think about it?but damn annoying. She stood up and dusted herself off a bit, than kicked the rock in a random direction.

[I]'Crap,'[/I] she thought. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Emilio!! Watch-" [/COLOR] too late. The girl rushed over as the rock hit the meditating Kappa square in the side of the head. She was sitting on her knees next to him. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"You ok? I'm [I]really[/I] sorry."[/COLOR]

Emilio brushed her hand away with an irritated look on his face. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"What the hell's your problem?"[/COLOR]

Chrysanthema stood back on her feet, looking him dead in the eyes. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"It was an accident, sheesh. I said I was sorry?"[/COLOR] [I]'I ment it?'[/I] she thought while turning her back on the Kappa and walking defiantly back into the city.

Once out of sight, she started running. Being pissed for getting hit with a rock, fine. Chrys could handle that. But there was something else behind it?contempt? Did he hate her for something she didn't even know about? The girl half hoped to run into either Achilles or Gale. She knew she could always talk to them about almost anything.

Ame laughed a t a joke Sarin told him as he walked around a corner. When he looked in front of him, he was blindsidded by a girl.

"Why you little demon, whatch where you go." Amer spat at Chrys.

"Amer, that is no way to treat a lady."Sarin said walking around Amer.

"That may be how you feel. But remember, I am not as leanient to demons as you. It takes alot for me to not steal her soul." Amer growled at Sarin as he walked off.

"Sarin, I shall be back at the hotel. See me after you talk with the small demon."Amer said waving at his brother.

[Deadpool]

Sarin held out a hand to Chrys. "I am sincerly sorry about that, he isn't the best around the ladies" He helped her up as she dusted herself off. "I do not mean to be rude or anything, but I can tell and...feel...that there is something bothering you"

[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Hmph. What does being a girl have to do with anything? Thanks though."[/COLOR] Chrys said. She looked at the ground before saying anything about what was bothering her. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Don't worry about it?I-It's nothing, really. Just a bad day gone worse," [/COLOR] she lied through her teeth. Sarin probably knew it too.

Knocking into Amer had either put some sense back into her, or chased it all right out. It was her problem, Chrys resolved to just deal on her own. Who knows? Maybe it was nothing after all.

[Starwind]

Emilio sat still as Chyrs marched back into the city "Christ, why do I always have to suck an asshole." Emilio sighed and fell to his back "It's not that I hate her or anything it's just....." Emilio stopped and thought on it for a moment "I should probably apologize, even if she did hit me, she did say she was sorry." For some reason the thought of apologizing seem to make him shudder. He rose to his feet and looked to the city again "Well, if I don't go now then I'll never be able to do it." and with athat said he ran into the city to go after her and actually apologize for being... well.... himself. He ran up and saw Chrys with Sarin standing in the road.

[Deadpool]

"Just let me know if there is anything that I can help with. I may be heartless on the outside like my brother but I am not that way on the inside." He saw Emillio running up then stopped when he noticed Sarin. Sarin then held out his hand. "I do believe we got out on the wrong foot and i am determined to make this right. I am Sarin"

[Starwind]

Emilio looked at his hand akwardly, but could tell that he was being sincere. He reached out and shook his hand "I am Emilio Batou, it's nice to meet you Sarin." They shook and looked each other in the eye. Emilio turned his attention to Chrys "Listen, I wanted to apologize for the way i treated you out there. You didn't deserve it and well I'm sorry okay." with that he turned away, still feeling a little akward. Finally he spoke "I think I'm going to get a hotel room and rest up for the evening. see you in the morning." He turned and left the street and walked into a small in at the corner.

[Deadpool]

"Night" Sarin turned to Chrys. "Where are you staying at? I booked rooms at the big inn down there, one for me and one for Amer and also for Achilles. Would you like me to get you one as well, I pay since I have quite a bit of money from when me and Amer used to be theifs, but we gave that up. I got Gale one but don't know if he is going to use it. i didn't know if you were going to stay there or somewhere else"

[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Nah, that's alright," [/COLOR] Chrys said. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"I have something else in mind. Old habbits die hard."[/COLOR] She grinned. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Guess I'll see ya in the morning then, 'night."[/COLOR] She gave a light wave over her shoulder while turning to walk down another street.

Emilio checked into his room and proceded to walk up the stairs to the room. He still felt a little akward from apologizing to Chrys, it just wasn't something he normally did. Not to mention shaking hands with Sarin, that was also a little strange to be showing some kind of familiarity. He came to the second floor fourth room over. He opend the door and walked in. It was small, it had a window and a bed in the corner, obviously not ment for two. The floor was creaky and the color of the room was drab, but considering he was only spending the night it didn't matter. He started taking his clothes off and climbed into bed. He left the window open to keep ventilation, didn't want to sweat all night. He rolled and put his back to the window as a light breeze blew the light drapes. He suddenly could detect the fragrance of roses in the room. He jumped for a moment and then realized what was happening. He set his head back down "So you finally came back, did you" A light chuckle could be heard in the corner of the room. The voice was light, as if it traveld witht he wind and was just audible. Finally after several minutes teh voice returned words "I'm sorry we haven't gotten to see each other in so long." The voice was that of a womans and sounded almost nutureing in it's manner and tone. But there was a certain air about it that made the skin crawl. Emilio sat up in his bed and looked to the corner. She stepped from the shadows, she was wearing a beatiful silk dress, it was pale white. Her skin was almot as pale as her dress, her eyes were as blue as spring water. She moved with all the grace of the flowing water and could barely be heard. She walked over to him as he still sat on the bed "Emilio, I really did miss you." They sat in silence for a moment. She put her arms around him and then only a single word crossed her crimso lips "Now". A thunderous wave erupted from the small building as the second floor was completely blown out. Emilio came flying out of the room and landed on the street below and took his stance for a fight. In the frame of what was left of the second floor the woman could be seen standing staring down at Emilio with tears in her eyes and a sword with his blood on it. Emilio had been hit on his right side, fortunatly it was neither deep nor wasit bleeding anymore thanks to his quick response. She gazed down at him with her sad eyes "This is how we knew it would end." Emilio looked up to her witha smile different from any other he had shown to the others "I've been waiting for this for so long. Thank you, Kami." She pulled her sword up and prepared to strike again.

Chyrs walked down a side street. She was partly a bit of a night owl, able to function very well on very little sleep. She passed a small shop, but a call from a figure next to the door caught her attention. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Hey Chrysanthema. I've been looking for you,"[/COLOR] they said stepping forward onto the street.

An older woman, with golden orange wings to match Chrys' red ones. She was dressed in a long brown skirt with a green, long sleeved top and dark eyes. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"Your father wants you home."[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"I told you Ma, I'm not coming back until either a) they realize that they are wrong, or b) I succeed in helping these people."

"Stubborn as ever little one, is there no way to change your mind? Not only do we miss you, but also there's uproar. They want to declare you exiled for disobeying direct orders from the top," [/COLOR] the woman explained, not wanting to see her child punished so.

[COLOR=DarkOrchid]"I can't Ma, you know that. If that means not being able to return home, so be it. You now me better than that."

"Very well, but I had to try at least. Good luck my little one." [/COLOR] The two hugged, for what would probably be the last time. [COLOR=DarkOrchid]"G'bye?Mother,"[/COLOR] Chrys said. She looked like she was about to say something else, but the moment was ruined by a loud crash, sounding like part of a building was detached from the rest of it.

"What the hell was that?"[/COLOR] Chrysanthema spun around to look in the direction, and when she turned around her mother was gone with a wave and a burst of flames.

[Starwind]

Emlio set his hands in the gutters of the street and pulled from it all the water that was available. He used it to prepare himself some armor and a long sword of his own, he took stance as Kami attacked him. She dove from the second floor and made contact with her blade to Emilios with a force that made the ground beneath his feet crumble and shatter. Emilio pushed off on his blade and she was pushed back off of him and then he retaliated with a sweep from his long heavy blade. She dove to the sky and began to hover and watch him "So nice to see you. If only it could have been under better circumstances." Emilio smirked "Like there ever would be better circunstances. You know good and well what you did to me and I'll never forget it." She smiled "Then why did you start to cry when you saww me in your room? Did the thought of me being in your room again stir up old memories?" Emilos face filled with anger "Shut up you stupid slut and prepare to cut and splain like a deer." Emilio recrafted his sword to long barbed chains and swung them at her where she floated. With her grace she was able to keep from being hit, while Emilio kept his defense up and keep on the offensive he heard his name and was distracted for a moment. It was at this time he felt a burning pain as his hand clamped down on Kamis slender wrist, he let his guard down for a second and she managed to bury four inches of her blade into his gut.

[Darth Vectis]

[COLOR=DarkGreen][SIZE=1]Achilles was walking through the city, tired and sore from the bar fight and the vast amount of men he and the others had to fight to survive. Achilles heard the loud explosion and ran instantly to the inn, he stood in an ally way when he say Emilio and some women fighting. Achilles had his shield still on his back and his swqord was still stuck through it, he though about helping but rejected the idea when he say Emilio holding up against this mystery women.

That was until he saw her stick her blade about 4 inches into his gut, that is when he put his shield on his arm and drew his sword, he instantly bolted out and charged her. The women had just spotted Achilles as he was in mid-air preparing to slash at the women, she pushed him away with what he thought was air and flew back.

He hit a wall and fell to the ground, the wind knocked out of him, the women tunred her attention back to Emilio and smiled. Achilles gritted his teeth and charged her again, this time bashing her with his weight and knocking her away from Emilio. Achilles breathed hard and looked to Emilio, Emilio yanked out the womens sword and grunted, Achilles held out one hand.

"Looks like mortals are more helpful then you thought."[/B] Emilio just looked at him and stood on his own, Achilles chuckled lightly when he was smashed back again into another building. This time Achilles was slwoly fading into darkness, he wound on his leg reopened and bleeded openly, Achilles grunted.

"Hope I wake up from this."[/B] Achilles passed out.[/SIZE][/COLOR]
