Gale sighed as the same messager came back.
"My lord, I have some bad news."
"You guys can't clean up? Jeezz."
"Well one of are soldiers saw Chrys get hit into a building by a demon." Gale froze and stared at him.
"Is she okay?!"
"Well, he left." Gale kicked him to the ground.
"What?!! You didn't do anything?"
"Please forgive me...." Gale sighed, not letting his anger get better of him.
"I will handle this 'demons' in this city, once and for all." He jumped down off the airship and began to walk down the road.
"My lord, do you need are help?" said a soldier near him.
"No, I shall handle this." He walked on and on until he reached a dmeon looking down anohter one. Chrys was there staring down at them, while the Kappa was resting. She looked like she ewas about to burn them to ashes.
"Might I ask why you must fight and destroy half the city, while we're trying to protect it?" Everyone seemed to turn to him as he everyone seemed to have made a perfect circle.
"Well, if it isn't the weak human who got us in this mess." said Amer if Gale could remember.
"I see this is your doing?" He looked around the city.
"No, that was my dear brother, but I can do this anytime i want to." Gale pulled out his crimson sword.
"Your might be a Harmonizer, no one is unstoppable." Amer laughed.
"You? A human? That puny demon right there has a better chance of beating me then you." Gale this time smiled and rolled his neck.
"Back in the years, I taught Chrys alittle bit of how to fight." His sword began to glow as Gale got ready.
"Get ready." He bent his knees and charged after the demon.
"Explosion combo. Winged-Dragon Explosion! He roared as he sent chains of explosions of fire as he sliced at the demon.
Smoke cleared as Amer laughed.
"You missed everytime, great prince.' he turned around and gasped to see no one.
"Where did you go, you stupid human."
"Up here!!!" He gasped and looked up to see Gale coming right down.
"Mad Dance! He cried as he sent a great explosion on the demon. Gale bounced back to see Amer fall to his back.
"How does it feel, demon? To finally get beat by a Human? Let's stop this and get ready for the task ahead and to fight a more greater enemy. The Shadow army."

Achilles sat in the library going through the oldest scrolls they had, librariens kept coming in constantly to give him more piles of scrolls. He finally had to specify what scrolls, what era, and what on for the flow to slow down. After about an hour or so he came across a scroll in a tounge he didn't understand. The only world he saw that was understandable to him was Dreadnaught, he jumped from his chair in exccitment.

"Yes! I found the scroll! It has been hidden in mortal hands while the sword was in demon hands. The sword was given to demons because they couldn't use it, the scroll given to humans because they couldn't read it. It makes perfect sence!" Right then the voice broke through.

"I can read this, it is a old language. Long since been forgotten, this scroll reads out to be more of a prophecy then an instruction manual."

"Read it anyways. It might help." Achilles waited impatiently for the voice to speak again. After a moment it spoke.

"A warrior who skills go unmatched, who has a pure heart can weild the fabled sword of Dreadnaught. Forged from the fires of Hell and crafted by the gentle hands of angels, it holds the power to do what the user desires it to do. But before it can be come a weapon of true power. The user must first give it's self to the weapon. Only then can the weapon do what it was destined to do. Destined to end the war of the century. Destined to be the savior of the world." Achilles dwelled on the scroll.

"Give myself to the sword? What does that mean?" He sat there thinking, the voice abruptly interrupted his thinking.

"It means that inorder for you to unleash it's full power. You must give you soul to it." Achilles froze.

"Wait, that can't be right. There must be another way to bring it's power to life."

"No, there is not." The voice said sternly. Achilles slumped and fell in his chair.

"So, for me to end this war forever. I must give my life up for it?"

"Yes." The voice said with a hint of sadness. Achilles sighed heavily and rubbed his head with his hand.

"You know, before we go through this. I think I should know about you. Who are you?"The voice reamined silent. A few moments later, that seemed like forever, the voice spoke.

"I am a druid. My name is Walker Boh, I was the last of the druids. When I came across you I knew you were destined for great things. So I wanted to train you. Your parents refused that oppurtunity, so I had to intrude you mind periodiclly. As I told you before, I slowly introduced pieces of me into you. On my last trip you pulled me and I was permeanetly stuck in your mind. And I can see now that it was a good thing." Achilled nodded his head.

"Well, good to know I have a druid inside my head." Walker laughed. Achilles tried but couldn't. Walker stopped laughing.

"Are you going to tell the others?" Achilles stood up.

"No, we don't need them worring about this weapon now do we."

"Seems like a good enough plan." Achilles snatched up the scroll and stuffed it in his pocket, he walked out of the library and into the streets.

Emilio looked down to the ground, he saw Achilles. He turned to Chrys and asked her to take him to her. She floated down to Achilles, setting Emilio down on the groudn since he still didn't have the strength in his legs to stand. He looked Achilles over, as he did he noticed something in his pocket, a scroll. He looked Achilles in the face "You know don't you?" Achilles looked at him surprised for a moment, then nodded "Yeah, I just found out." Emilio nodded with him. He waved his hand for Achilles to lean down next to him. he got with in an inch of Emilio, he nodded and he deliverd a quick jab to the ribs. Achilles jumped back "What the hell? What did you so that for?" Emilio looked him dead in the eye "Don't give me that, you know what it is. And let me tell you, I didn't give you that sword for that self-sacrificing bull crap. I gave it to you so you might protect these people with your life, not give it to the sword." Achilles looked to Emilio "What other choice do I have?" Emilio thought it over for a minute. Then looked up to him "There is one possiblity, or might I say the only possiblity." Achilles looked very intent as Emilio continued "If you truly are worthy of the sword, which I believe you are, you could merge with it." Achilles looked a bit dumb struck "Come again. Merge with the sword. How, prey tell, might one do that?" Emilio looked to the sword "If your really the one, you run it throught your heart and the mind and body of that sword will become one with you." Achilles looked at him questioningly "And how is that different from the self-sacrificing thing?" Emilio sighed "It's a game of wills. If your will is stronger then the one that governs the sword, your mind will hold out and you will hold indomiatably control of dreadnaught." Achilles swallowed hard "Okay. Either way I'm dead right." Emilio nodded "Pretty much." Achilles took the sword and Emilio spoke again "Place the tip of the blade just over your heart and thrust it in quick." Achilles nodded, still seeming worried. He closed his eyes and pulled the sword toward him fast. As the sword broke his skin there was and intense flash, that could be seen around the whole city. And as the light dimmed Achilles could be seen standing, the sword no longer in his hand. The question was, how much of him was left now that he had merged?

Emilio and Chrys stared at Achilles as he stood there motionless, he then stood up staright and rolled his shoulders. He then used his hand to rub his chest.

"Ow, that bloody hurt." He rolled his head and his neck poped. Emilio nodded his head.

"So how much is left of your old self?" Achilles thought for a moment.

"Well, quiet a bit. Not all of me is here but what has replaced it feels good flowing through my vains." He had a content look on his face, Emilio smacked him upside the head.

"Focus." Achilles snapped back.

"Right, swords energy is strong. It would take control if not for the strong will as you said. And a little help from a friend."

"Friend?" Emilio asked.

"Yeah, it's a long story. I'll share with you later. But right now I want to see what this power can do." Achilles said as he jumped up onto a roof, landing with a thud. Shingles falling off from his landing, he sped to the end and jumped off. Twisting and spiraling in mid air and landing perfectly on the roof.

"Oh, enhanced agility and strength. I like this already." Chrys sighed.

"Achilles get back down here." Achilles pecked over the edge of the building and saw Chrys on the ground.

"Alright, be right there." He jumped off and landed in a crouched position and stood up.

"This thing is great." Emilios face turned serious.

"Don't let it go to your head. If you let it's power influence you to much, it will take control." Achilles nodded his head.

"Understood. So what is our next move?" Achilles waited patiently

Emilio could feel the strength returning to his legs an he began to rise "First, we need to deal with the problem with Sarin. Then we can move out and deal with the dark capital." Achilles nodded "Sounds good." Emilio smiled back to him "Now remember, this much more then a simple joining, this is a merger. Call to the sword, call to it by name." Achilles nodded "Dreadnaught!" and witha bright flash, the sword appeared once again in his hand. Emilio continued "Notice a difference?" Achilles had a very excited look on his face "Yeah. It's so light, it's like a part of my arm." Emilio nodded "Not only that, but as you progress the merger will become more and more complete." Achilles looked to him "How do you mean?" Emilio continued "As long as you can maintain control, yu will eventually surmount the will current in the sword and your two wills will become but a single one." Achilles nodded "And which one would it be?" Emilio nodded back "Which ever is most dominant. As long as you keep a very constant and regular control, yours will be the one to prevail in the end. If not, your mind will be lost to us." Achilles nodded "And how long would this take?" Emilio continued "Any where from two to three days." Achilles nodded "That dosen't sound to hard." Emilio smacked him again "DOn't get cocky, it'll get harder as the sword begins to realize it's losing itself. You must be the stronger one." Achilles nodded and looked down the way "Well, let's get to work." Emilio nodded and then looked to Chrys "You should go help him. I can walk again, so I'll be fine. Even with his new strength he still might need your help. Afraid, I'll have to sit this one out again." The tow nodded to him and ran off toward the smoke still bellowing into the sky as Emilio got comfortable on his legs again.

Chrys glanced sideways at Achilles as they ran back to where Sarin and Amer were. "Don't yell at me, but uh. I sort of left Gale there against Amer who was going get locked in this sort of like classic battle thing with his own brother."

"By himself?"

"I figured he could stand his own pretty well for a moment or two. Something felt a little different about him?not unlike the change in you, but utterly different at the same time."

They arrived back at the scene, knowing just where to go. At one point Chrysanthema had to take to flying just above Achilles to give her legs a rest. She didn't have the endurance for that kind of ground running. Achilles and Chrys stopped to stand on either side of Gale, who was looking at Amer, who was getting back onto his feet. Amer didn't look too happy, and she wondered if the harmonizer was going to attack again.

Amer closed his eyes and growled. "In the mist of night, a storm will rage, tearing everything in its wake to peices." He opened his eyes and smiled as he clenched his fist. Sparks began to fly everywhere, destroying anything it touched.

"What is going through his mind? Why is he trying to destroy everything?" Gale asked. taking a step back as to not get hit with teh lightning.

"I shall explain. Both me and Amer have a serious problem. We can, and will get lost in our blood lust, and when we do, we want to kill any thing with demonic powers." Sarin slowly began to stand up.

"If that is the case, then why hasn't he tried to kill me yet?" Chrys asked, looking as Sarin.

"Because, I posess multiple demonic auras, while you only have one. There are only two ways for us to get him to stop right now, one is to knock him out, either by brute force, which will not be easy now, because of Gale. Or, be shorting his electricity out. The other option is one that I will not permit anyone to use." Sarin stretched as he reached his full height.

"Whats the otherone? To kill him?" Chrys asked, then sighed because of the expression on Sarin's face. "Never mind."

"So, what does the two mortals, the demon and my brother plan to do?" Amer asked, slowly letting the bolts that fly off of him to grow in size.

Emilio limped down the streets, as he did he could hear Sarin and Chrys yelling, while Amer went ballistic. What a roll reversal. He saw there options to beat him without him dying were few. The only one that seemed possible was a short, and Emilio could do that. If he had enough strength. As it stood he was still a little off balance, but he had little other choice. Emilio called to Sarin "Hey. You guys need help." He walked up to Chrys and Sarin, still limping. Sarin looked to him "And you plan to do what? Your completely exhausted." Emilio nodded "Yeah, I know. But if you could give me a hand, I could help you short him out." Sarin looked to him "How?" Emilio smacked him upside the head "Think science for a minute. Water shorts out electricity. All I need is a jump start." Sarin nodded and grabbed his hand. Emilio closed his eyes, and there was a sudden surge. It lasted for a minute, but it was enough of a transfer. Emilio dipped his in the gutter and pulled the water. He ran toward the insane Amer, dodging the bolts as to not be hit. And with one quick move he began to quickly dowse him with copious amounts of water. Amer screamed as the electricty seemed to fade and short. Amers cries began to fade as he began to regain his senses. Amers eyes seemed aware again. He fell to one knee and huffed heavily, he began to look around seeming almost lost. Emilio sighed in relief and fell falt on his back.

It took Chrys a moment to realize she was holding her breath. Sighing, she leaned over and looked down at Emilio. "How're you feeling?"
"Exhausted."
"Heh." She held out a hand and helped him to his feet. Repositioning her weight for support, she turned her head to look at Sarin. "What about you?"
"For the moment I am fine."
Chrys nodded. "Gale, most likely you're about ready to pull out. But not everyone is in shape to go rushing into anything at the moment. I'm not leaving until everyone is ready. I know your responce, you know how stubborn I am. Lets skip the argument."

OOC: Question. Water would only act as a conductor for electricty, not put it out.

Sarin walked over to Amer careful not to touch the water. "Nice going watr idoit. You just made him stronger." Amer's eyes went back to theri blood lust look as elctricty tore through everything around him, thanks to the water. Sarin dodged a bolt of lighting as it flew past him. "Stupid water sprite." Shadows came up behind Amer who was to intent on trying to get to Emillo. "Amer" He smiled as the shadows lifted a large peice of rubble above him then dropped hit. It nailed Amer on the back of the head, but not afdter he fired a single powerful bolt, hitting Sarin in the chest knocking him stragiht towards Chrys and Emillo. Sarin caught them both with his arms and turned his back taking the stone walls that he was plowing through head on, keeping her from harm. He slid to a stop and tried to move but was unable. "Damn you Amer, Oh well at least if I don't make it you can kill . He looked down as he let go of the tow demons. "You alright?"

Chrys nodded as Emillo did the same. "i'm fine"

"I don't care about you, sprite. It is your fault that this happened." He coughed up a lot of blood as blood ozzed from his wound on his chest and the gashes on his back. "But you did what you thought would help. That is all that matters. Damn that hurt"

(ooc= ::smacks self in the head:: I can?t believe I missed that little detail! But water DOES short out electrical appliances and stuff like that?)

?I could have evaporated off the water you know,? Chrys offered. ?But it would have gotten extremely hot and uncomfortable around here.?

She eyed the blood nervously, and was alarmed at what Sarin coughed up. ?Uh, lets try to keep as much of your blood on the inside as possible all right?? ?We?re the doctor when you need him? Now I wish I didn?t skip basic med training.?

Sure enough, an old man with a beard was walking over, undisturbed by the mess around him. The guy stopped in the middle of the street holding his medical bag, and made the motion of opening a door that wasn?t there. He squinted for a moment, and realized he had no offica anymore. ?Well at least it didn?t burn down like last time??

Chrys audibly groaned. Why him? ?Mr. Dunstrum?I know your office is, uh, all crumbled and all, but do you think you are able to fix my friend up a bit?? The old man turned in her direction, and hobbled over to get a better look. She inwardly cringed, and stiffened up a bit as she hoped he wouldn?t recognize her. ?Who, this youngin? He looks like he needs a bit of sleep is all-?

?No, not him. The one with the blood,? she said turning the doctor?s attention to Sarin. ?Right, right,? he mumbled.
?What?s that about?? Emilio asked, because of how nervous Chrys was acting.
?See that huge burn scar on his face?? she whispered back, ?That?s my work. It was an accident I swear.?
?So how?s her going to help Sarin if he can barely see??
?Oh, his vision is excellent, just like his hearing. Only pretends otherwise. Its his memory that?s a bit unstable.?
?I heard that Young Lady. You?re the fire-starter who burned away my office last time! Rotten little?I moved up here thinking I?d never find you this far north?? the old timer complained without looking up from his work. Chrys placed a hand on her forehead and shook her head.
?That bad, huh.?
She nodded.

Gale sighed as he put away his sword. He didn't want to push on Chrys to get the airship ready. The same messanger came by, breathing heavily.
"SIR!! There coming!!" Gale turned around and grew angerily.
"What?! Belian's army?"
"Destroyed!!" Hearing Belian dieing took the air out of him. Belian had always watched him like a father. Gale bowed his head as he began to walk towards the gate.
"Sir? What should we do?"
"Guard the city..."
"What about countering them?"
"I'll do that.." He whispered as Gale walked out of the front gate. He looked at the gate master.
"Shut it!!" He nodded as the gate shut tightly. A large dust cloud was not far from where he was standing. He pulled out his sword, ready to revenge his good friend.
"You.....monsters."

Gale cut through the next soldier as blood flew. He pulled back his sword, as it glew.
"Burn in hell....ALL OF YOU!!!" He swirled, sending balls of fire at the black army. He felt something impact him as he fell to his knee. A bollet rest in his left leg.
"Dammit..."

Sarin knocked the old guy a way from him as he stood up. Amer's charge suddenly disappearred as the water took its effect. "About time" HE began to walk where Gale was when Chrys spoke up.

"You can't fight Your hurt"

"Yes I can, I may not be able to change shapes in my current condition but I can still kill with these" He took out a lond dia katanna and a large axe as he blocked a rain of bullets from hitting Gale. "Get your ass up, we got work to do" He sprinted forward, blood and human pieces flying every were as he slashed and hacked. "Die human scum"

Emilio was still to stripped of strength to attack or do anything useful. He looked to Chrys "You better go to. Otherwise that idiot will get himself butcherd." She looked to him for a moment and nodded. She carried him to the old man "Look after him. He's pretty useless, but he tries." he huffed and laughed at her comment "My, your so sweet to me." She smirked and flew off, Achilles following shortly behind. He leaned off against the wall and slid down. The old man walked over to him to help him up. Emilio brushed him away "I'll be fine you just get somewhere safe." The old man looked to him "The girl would really burn out my eye if I just left you here." He laughed again "She knows what an idiot I am, I'll say it was my idea." The old man scuffed "It is your idea." Emilio sighed "Ehh, technicalities. Anyway, just get out of here." The old man looked back once then headed off to a shelter. Emilio layed proped up to a wall staring into the darkening sky. The wind seemed to whisper to him, he knew what this meant. Kamilla was near. All that was left to know was where. She whisperd to him throught the wind. He could hear her voice "Emilio. I've missed you. Why don't you come to us? Your father is impressed with you. He wants you to come with us. We are rising together. Soon they'll all be dead, and it'll be just us again." Emilio chuckled at this comment "If they could have been killed easily I would have done it already. You won't kill them, and neither will he." He felt her warm breeze across his chest and face "So full of hope, that's something I admire in you. No matter how bleak it is you try, I'll remeber that about you." He felt a sharp sting and blood ran from his mouth, his eyes, his ears and his olds scars began to open back up. The wind whisperd one thing as he fell to his side in pain "I'll be there soon Emilio."

Chys Looked down on everything then dove in herself to hack away at the army. She sliced easily through many of the humans, continuously having to dodge in the most annoying erratic fashion to avoid getting hit as much as possible. These people were really getting on her nerves?the demon backed off to a slightly higher altitude. "Fire Scourge!" A fair number burst into flames, running around and causing more confusion as they burned alive.

Another of her kind flew over, covering her back as they talked. "I assume a decision has been made?" she asked.
"Yes, I've been sent to tell you that all are agreed. We will help, but will not take orders from just anyone Miss Chysanthema."
"Understandable, but stop with the 'Miss Chrysanthema' crap?Heat wave!" Humans were hit suddenly by the volcanic heat, many of them dropping weapons or coughing with the air harder to breath. She let out a shrill whistle, and waved a couple of others over. When they arrived, she stopped what she was doing for the moment to address them. "Listen up, and spread the word to everyone else. If you're going to fight, join in quick. Anything and everything goes, just don't waste energy. Got it? Good. One more thing. Since I won't always be able to do it, I want a man keeping an eye on Gale, the younger human, at all times. Same with Achilles, the other human who's pretty demonic in skill, and Sarin, he's the Harmonizer. No exceptions. Anything of importance, I want to hear about it. Dismissed."

The others nodded reluctantly and took off as the rest of those left joined the fray. Chrys made her way over to Gale, who was back on his feet despite the injury, with a firm look on his face. Uh oh, something must have happened. She stood behind him with her back turned and scythe poised, facing more of the dark army. "I have your back," she said casually.

Achilles made his way into the battle feild, fighting now with a new sense of speed and power. Dreadnaught felt like he was carrying a feather into battle, cutting away at men like they were butter. He spun through the air with acrobatic skills he didn't know he had, taking out at least 3 men per slash. He was becoming absorbed in the battle, and lost all sense of time and where he was. All that ran through his mind was he was doing what he was good at, taking lives.

He crippled one man by slashing at his knee and killing another by bringing his sword staright up and cutting the mans face in half. Blood sprayed onto Achilles, splashing his already blood stained armor with a new coat, but he cared less for this. He turned back to the man who was on the ground holding his knee that was bleeding. The man tried to bring his gun up and shoot Achilles but he quickly cut the mans fingers off, the gun followed.

The man howled and Achilles brought his blade back, prepred to stab it right through his throat. Right then Achilles felt a sharp pain surge through his whole body, crumpled to the ground, he could feel something invading his mind and felt a horrible pain in his chest. He screamed witht he pain and curled up in a ball on the floor, he was twitching and shaking violently.

"No! You will not have me!" He screamed as he flailed around on the ground, as if he was being restrained and he was trying to push his repressor off. The man picked up his gun with his other hand and pulled the hammer back with his thumb, he smiled through the pain of his cut up knee and his missing fingers.

"Die!" The man yelled as he was about to pulled the trigger, to Achilles luck, the fire demon that had been assigned to him intervined last moment and took the mans head clean off. The mans body fell to dirt with a loud thud and his blood pour out from his neck, Achilles continued to thrash around as fought his internal battle.

"You can't have me!" He screamed once more, the battle muffled his screams, so none could hear him except those who were right next to him. A small batallion of men circled around him, all of them watching as Achilles screamed and thrashed. They all pulled out ther guns and pulled the hammers back, prepareing to fire all simultaneously. Achilles stopped thrashing and his eyes shot open, he instantly hopped back onto his feet and cut the 15 men that circled him, moving so fast they didn't realize they had been hit until Achilles spun in full circle and cut away at their knees. They all collapesed, and Achilles dropped to one knee. Using Dreadnaught as crutch to keep him up.

"Never that many at once. This swords got some benefits. I'm getting tired." He said with a huff of breath inbetween, he staggered up and rushed back into battle. His muscles were getting sore and he was only running on his power of will and the energy Dreadnaught seemed to provided. The fire demon was right next to him, running beside Achilles. Achilles charged right into a massive group guarding a giant cannon. He gave a battle cry as he brought his sword up and smashed right into the group.

Emilio layed twitching on the ground, blood filling the cracks on the street. He could here a light wafting drawing near him, she was coming to him. Her voice rang like the gentle breeze coming from her "Thank you for waiting Emilio." She knealt down to him and ran her hand through his blooky hair. She was rubbing it in his face, making him feel as weak as she could. She leaned down to whisper in his ear "Come with us. Your not strong enough on your own, come with us and become strong enough." Emilio tremmbled in rage. He lacked even the strength to speak at this point. Suddenly the air felt warm, then hot. A shower of red appeared and pushed Kami back off him. A tall man with wings like Chrys' landed next to him and attacked Kami "I've been orderd to see to your well being." Kami didn't take to this interuption well. She pulled her sword out and threw a torrent of wind to the brave soul. He took up Emilio and jumped to the sky. Kami glared and disappeared into the darkness once again. Emilio sitherd and tenperd as he faded into unconsiousness.

Achilles continued his hack and slash, the fire demon near by burning and cutting his way through the men to the cannon. Achilles was killing men faster then the demon could so Achilles progress was quicker to the cannon, Achilles finally reached the last few men who operated the cannon.

He quickly dispatched them, Achilles then jumped into the crowd that the fire demon was fending off. Back to hacking and slashing, guns went off but missed there intended targets. The fire demon and Achilles finished off the group that circled the cannon and both breathed harshly. Achilles looked to the cannon.

"Blow it up." He said plainly to the fire demon, he nodded his head and quickly started up his fire abilitys. Summoning up the energy he needed to be rid of this awful device, he released it in one huge ball and straight into the barrel. The gun power inside the cannon made it that much more effective, Achilles started to sprint away when the fire demon picked him up as they flew away from the explosion. The fire demon started to fly away from the battle but Achilles tapped him with the sword.

"No, go back and drop me off." The fire demon stared at him but soon complied, he dropped him about 10 feet form the ground and Achilles had his blade ready, he went for the nearest group and slashed at them. To the fire demon, Achilles fatigue and soreness seemed like it wasn't effecting him at all. He saw Achilles was just fine and flew off back to Chysanthema, he arivved there and was panting when he landed.

"What do you have to report?" The fire demon was bent over trying to catch his breath.

"He won't quit, we've killed at least 100 men and he still fights. I can't keep up with him." Achilles slashed down cutting a mans face open and quickly moved the gun so it pointed towards another man. The tigger pulled and the man fell over dead, Achilles stabbed a man through his chest then through his lifeless body into a group with Dreadnaught still stuck in him. He charged into the group, they held out their guns and Achilles spun quickly through them.

Breaking mens arms along the way, he snapped another mans neck like a twig and proceeded through the ranks. Breaking wrists, arms, legs, fingers, necks, skulls. Anything that kept him from getting back to Dreadnaught he broke or killed. He got it back and finished off the men that were screaming with pain from there broken body parts.

"So many, this is really providing a work out." Achilles said as he just made his way through the field avoiding fire balls that missed targets and bullets that aimed for him, taking off the hands that shot at him. Killing more.

Chys cut through another human as she listened to the demon's report. She looked extremely worried. "Fine. You stay here with Gale, Mizale. I know you're worn out, but I promise this will be easier." The other demon nodded still out of breath, but he felt able enough to handle it. "Gale, I'll see you again later." She sent another wave of energy through part of the army, setting a good many of them on fire, and then jumped up to fly off to look for Achilles.

Immediately the girl spotted her father close by, carrying Emilio. "Thanks Dad," she said looking at the unconscious Emilio. He was breathing, that was good, but he was bleeding, which was bad. "It was as you thought," he said. Chrys nodded, she figured as much. "Yes, and she'll probably be mad at me for getting in the way," she said. Her eye color started to change, but she shook it off.

"You care then," her father said with a scrutinizing look at the Kappa. "I wouldn't have specifically asked you if I didn't," she replied taking hold of Emilio's hand and checking to make sure his pulse was all right. "At least he's demon."
"Don't even go there, Dad."
Her father laughed, reassuring her that Emilio would be fine in his care.

Chrys parted, and shortly spotted Achilles taking out scores of the Dark army. Wow. She couldn't believe her eyes telling her that he wasn't tired; he must have been exhausted by now. The fire demon dived to reach Achilles, making a neat flip off of kicking an enemy soldier in the back of the head and landing neatly next to her friend. She immediately sent a huge wave of the Volcanic heat upon the area, making most of them around drop their guns and such with a gasp. It seemed not to affect Achilles at all, but it made her job easier. She grabbed his shoulder, and winced at the energy from Dreadnaught running through him. "Achilles, Stop! There's no way that you can't be tired in the least the way you're going. Take a breather, and pull yourself together. I know Emilio said the thing with the sword was a battle of wills, but if you expend all your bodily energy, you could die before then!"

Achilles had lost himself in the battle and when Chrys grabbed his shoulder and spoke to him he flipped over her and brought Dreadnaught up to her throat. No realizing what he was doing.

"Achilles!" Chrys screamed.

"Snap out of it! It's me, Chysanthema. Wake up!" Achilles eyes had a glazed look to them and he kept his sword there for a few more moments, suddenly he blinked and color came back. He looked around and saw what he was doing, he made Dreadnaught disappear and back away from Chrys.

"Chrys! I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you. I just reacted. I was gonna kill you. What the hell is going on?!" Achilles was starting to breakdown, a new sight to Chrysanthema. She stood him up straight and smacked him hard across the face.

"Get a hold of yourself. If you breakdown Dreadnaught will take control." Achilles shook himself and took a breath. The exhaustion was pouring in to his body. His muscles tensed and he struggled to keep his eyes open, he started to stumble by just standing there.

"Can't stop.... must keep going.... must stop dark army." Achilles fell backwards and landed hard on the blood stained ground. A cloud of red dust shot up around him and then settled on his body, Achilles was out cold and was breathing regularlly. For the time being. Achilles was still having his internal battle with Dreadnaught, thankfuly he had Walker helping him. Achilles might just win this battle.

In the shround of darkness nothing could be seen or heard, but much could be felt. The world seemed as if it was rushing past him even though he still couldn't move. With heavy eye lids, he peaked out into the world and saw a tall figure set him to the ground. It was the one who had taken him from the city and saved him from Kami, she really was just a vulture waiting for his moment of weakness. The man looked to him for a moment "You'll be fine, I'll make sure of it." Over his voice, Emilio could here the guns blazing, he could smell blood and gunpowder mixing in the air. The fight was still on. He was driven to act, but knew full well he lacked the strength to speak, let a alone fight. The large man returned, he had the appearance of one who had seen many battles like this one and spoke with a deep and very proud voice. He returned carring a small canister with a red salve of some kind inside. He dabbed it on his fingers and began to trace strange marks on Emilios body, speaking to him all the while "This is a healing agent found only in the deepest pits of volcanic craters. It will make you better, but since your a kappa it will take time." He finished appling the strange cream and stood straight above Emilio. He began chanting some incoherient verse over and over again. It was happening so fast that Emilio wasn't able to recognize what it was that was happening to him. The marks on his body, made from the cream, grew warmer and began to sooth away the pain he felt. His breathing began to regulate, he was returning to normal. But he still felt weak, the cream had only made his pain subside. The old man was right, it was going to take more time before he could move again. He found the strength to speak, so he might ask the old man a few questions "Hey, who are you anyway?" He looked to Emilio for a moment "I am here to over see your well being." Emilio sighed "I mean your name, who are you?" He glanced to him for a moment "I am..... Torran. I am Chrysanthemas' father" Emilio stared at him for a moment. He sighed "So why are you helping me? We both know it's not normal for two enemies to help each other." He was silent for a moment and Emilio began again "I figure your already aware my father is Dredick Batou. I thought your people despised him and all his blood line." He was silent a bit longer.

Chrys stared at Achilles for a minute in shock. She sighed in relief, haven been terrified that he actually was going to kill her back there. Her attention was drawn away as the Dark Army humans in the area stated to recover from the fading effects of the heat wave. Some stared for a moment, but they came to well enough and readied their weapons. "Oh no you don't?" she muttered, a flash of orange crossing the normal color of her eyes.

Gathering up a massive amount of energy, she changed her position in flashes, surprising the soldiers and chopping heads clean off one by one as she moved quickly around in a circle. She released the pent up energy in a triple set of ranged attacks that took out many of the humans at once. With one arm she motioned above at a fellow demon, signaling a group attack at the army's larger mechanical weaponry. They knew just where to hit the blasted things too for a full explosive effect.

Covered under mass confusion from other fighting nearby, Chrys picked up Achilles and made her way to get him out of there. She took off, and felt something tear through her wing sending a wave of pain through her system. Have a little difficulty flying, she made it none the less to a safer place outside of the battle zone and set him down under a tree to sleep in peace. "You better win Achilles, or I'm taking my anger out on Emilio for giving that damn sword to you. I'll check back in a bit?" She turned back to the battlefield, and inspected the hole in her left wing, glancing briefly at the blood dripping onto the clean patch of grass. 'Damn, the thing actually hit a vein?Oh well, I'll deal with that later.'

She saw her dad and Emilio nearby and walked over. As she arrived within earshot, she heard Torran say, "...For my daughter." That stopped her dead in her tracks. Buy the looks on their faces something was going on and she didn't think she wanted to get involved. Too late, she was already too close to just walk away. "You all right?" she asked Emilio. Looking from his face to her father's she said suddenly, "Anything I should be aware of now that other wise I'll end up finding out later on my own anyway?"

Emilios strength was returning to him now, so he turned his head to Chrysanthema "You may not be aware, but my father has not exactly been on the best of terms with your people for quite sometime." She looked to him and knealt down "What do you mean? He's our enemy." Emilio sighed and turned hi head from her "I'm sure you've heard of the tragedy of 'Dantes Peak'." She nodded, already fearing the truth. Emilio continued "The tragedy that claimed the lives of nearly 4000 demons of you kind. It was suppose to have been a horrid accident, a mix of carelessness and over excertion. The truth to the story was it was caused by Dredick, my father. He was trying to gather forces to him for a war against humanity. They denied him time and time again, til he finally posted threat of attack." Her eyes grew wide and angry "So that's all the more reason for us to kill him." Emilio spoke up again "That's not the end of the story. After his threat the high alert was raised, your father was not going to give him the chance to get close enough for an attack. He made sure every man in his security force knew his face better then they knew that of there own mother. My father knew they wouldn't take such a blatant remark lightly, so he sent another deal in his stead." Chrysanthemas eyes grew wider still as Emilio hesitated "I was the one sent to Dantes Peak that day. I was the one who killed all those of your kin. even the women and children weren't spared." Chrys' whole body trembled for a moment, her eyes filled with anger and tears.

"If I hadn't been late that day?" Chrys stood back up; she turned her back on Emilio. "I was supposed to be there, when it happened. I was caught late on another matter, and only arrived at the precise moment that marked 'too late'." She shuddered before continuing and caught a shaky breath. "I-I knew it wasn't an accident but couldn't back it up. Many of them were close friends, not just kin. That day?I?swore revenge if I ever found out!" She wouldn't look at him, tears falling from her face onto the ground.

After a pause she gathered her bearings and crossed her arms, trying not to sound sad or angry although both feelings were screaming for control in a mix of turmoil. "I'm supposed to hate you. Part of me does. But at the same time, I can't. Given the chance now, I'm not sure if I could make good on my words that day. He was the one you were fighting with before, right? I couldn't see well, but I could still see." She turned her head sideways to look at Emilio out of the corner of her blurry vision, face streaked with tears. Chrys was about to say something, but closed her mouth again and shook her head. Head down, she walked a couple of steps away. "Feel better," she said rather callously before walking away.

Chrys' father looked at the Kappa from the corner of his eye has he watched his daughter walk off, then sighed. "If you didn't tell her I would have said something later, and the results would have been worse. You got off easy so far, be grateful."

Emilio sighed "I didn't tell her cause to be honest I didn't think I would have lasted long enough for it to matter. I would have figured to be dead by now, and if you hadn't pulled me from Kamillas' grasp, I might have been by now, or possibly something much worse." Torran looked to him "You sound upset, does her knowing really bother you?" Emilio turned his head to look toward where she had wanderd off to "I'm not proud of what I did. No one with any moral fiber possibly could be. Until just now I'd never freely admit that to anyone, not for fear, but for shame." The old man looked in the same direction as him "Why is that?" Emilio hesitated again "Even I don't like killing the innocent like that. True it may have been guarded, but they couldn't win, and I knew that from the begining. I didn't tell her this, but that was what drove me from my father. I'm sure you heard about the hell storm three days later in the Tonic mountains to the north." Torran nodded to him "Me and daddy dearest had a falling out over the incident. After he kicked the crap out of me and left me for dead, I took up a new life. Sadly my new life isn't much better then my last one. I'm still a merc, still a murderer for hire." Torran sat down "You don't have to live like this, we know you could go back to your mother and she woudl leave you as the heir to the guardian of the northern lakes." Emilio sat up, now feeling strong enough and shook his head "I couldn't bring such a burden on those people like that. I've ruined to many lives already. Besides, my mother still doesn't know it was me who did it, and I know it would break her hear to find out what I did. She has always been on good terms with your people, many even her friends. I could never bring myself to tell her what I did, it would hurt her too much." Torran nodded "How is Tsubaki these days?" Emilio chuckled "She's just the same as she ever was." Torran smiled "That's good to hear, she was always very kind." Torran got to his feet "You seem better now, I'll be returning to the battle feild now to help in driving back the last of the enemy forces, they'll be retreating soon." He turned and walked after his daughter. Emilio hung his head again, still weighed heavily by having to tell her the truth. He wished she could have gone on not knowing, but he realized that was just as bad as anything else. He looked to the pluming smoke of the battle feild. He knew he had to talk to her again, but he didn't know what he should say. An apology would only seem like a hollow gesture, but that was all he could think to do. He layed back flat on the ground.
