Well... if you're into drama (do-ra-ma? ^^) then you'd better get the OVAs first (a good move, considering that the OVAs happen before the anime series...I think.) Anyways, the series' has got a good mix of comedy, action, drama and a bit of *implied* romance. It's also divided into arcs so can watch it part by part.
