Pathetic compared to yours I'm afraid Baron, in my opinion you're going to win this one hands down.

But, my piece has been posted for all to see!

Baron Samedi: I like this piece. It's not too complicated and the position of the person bends my mind. xD The colour scheme seems to match the theme and I really like the white border on the top, left, and bottom. What I like the least is the text. It doesn't seem to fit for me. I'm not sure why. ^^ But it does match with the swirlies in the back... and I like the swirlies so I'm lost. XD

Sean: The texture in the background is beautiful, especially combined with the colours you used. I don't know if the colour would match with what I felt was "ennui" but it's your interpretation. ^^ What stands out to me is your reliance on words and text to convey your message. Also, the positioning of the text doesn't do very much for me.

Sorry, I'm going to have to go with Baron Samedi for this one.

Baron Samedi: I really like this image, a lot. The picture fits very well and I like the position you used with that image. I also like the erased look you used on the three sides. The text you used fit as well. I really liked how you made everything work. Wonderful.

Sean: I love the image in this one, it's great. However, I didn't like where you put the font on there. I also didn't like what your definition of "ennui" was. It is very dictionary-ish, I don't really like it. I do like the font you used for that, though. It fit, in my opinion.

My vote goes to Baron Samedi on this one.

Baron: I like your piece, the cold colors and blue moody effect give a stark visualisation of Ennui. I like the font selection and the choice of white for the color makes it stand out. Well done.

The scratchy border is also very classy, and the image on the side makes my head spin. Nice arranging.

Sean: I like the blue blurry background in your pic, it sort of accentuates the boredom blurr lol. I agree with other shere that your definition of Ennui is a bit too dictionary-ish. Still, the choice of font was a good one. It was well compiled.

I'm going to have to go with Baron on this one, though, his submission just has that "wow factor"

Ennui - I needed to actually look up that word... ^_^ Very fun.

Baron: Based on the definition, I really do love your piece. ^_^ Hell, without the definition the piece is awesome. I have seen you use this stock before, and it always yealds great results. The color and text choice is superb... The border is unique, and covering only three sides is a fun idea... but is understandable with such a large ammount of earth showing. All in all, wonderful.

Sean: The abstract is what you seem to lay back on... The background is nice, but doesn't preach the quality that Baron's does. The text isn't appropriate for this theme either... in my opinion. All the colors are bright, and draw the eye... but that's probably one of the only goods I find with this. The Textbook definition doesn't seem fitting either... I'm just not fond of your piece.

Baron has my vote. Well done.

Quite interesting

Baron Samedi: Your picture is well put together. I like the colors, the edges and the font and background swirls look nice together. I also like the general blue-green tone of the overall picture. What I don?t see is how it fits with the concept of Ennui. It just seems more like the person is relaxing and taking it easy instead of being bored. At least to me anyway.

Sean: I like the washed turquoise colors of the background; it gives the impression of dullness in the sense that nothing interests you so therefore there really isn?t anything to look at. It seems to capture Ennui in an abstract manner. What I don?t care for is the placing of the words. They fit the theme; they just look out of place in the middle of the picture.

Although I think Baron Samedi?s picture is put together better, my vote goes to Sean. I like the abstract feel to it a little better.
