Pagan
Yes I believe EA is evil. They are playing hard ball in industry that should really just be about fun(atleast I think it shoud). EA chose to buy the exclusive rights for the NFL and the NBA (I think) instead of competing ESPN to see who could create the better product. Evil you say? I must agree. EA has also gotten hostal with Ubisoft after its strive to become a major player in the industry. It bought several stocks in the company, not enough to actually have a say, but enough that they can profit off of the company and pull the floor out from under them if needed. Evil you say? I must agree with you on that one my friends. Now they have gone exclusive rights crazy. They signed a contract with Steven Speilburg for the exclusive rights to create games for his upcoming movies. Mainly wanting King Kong all to itself. Yes that is quite Evi. You may call me parnoid, but I see where this going. If EA is the only company that can make games then they can charge whatever they want for them (59.99 for Madden should be considered robbery). Something must be done about this. I say we Microsoft them and make their already divided division stand alone. And yes Electronic Arts is Evil
Corpse Torcher
100% agree EA is completly evil. They bought out origin inc and took Ultima Onilne (my old favorite game) and completly butcherd and ruined it. Now its the worst game ever imo. Blast that EA!!! EA has done all of the Lord of The Rings Movies and I read in Game Informer they are also slated to do King Kong.
Killer7
OK, it is your own fault EA got this power. You bought thier badly made American games, and crappy movie translations. I hate American games, 95% are terrible, so obviously I don't like EA. I am not a big fan of sports games either, so really the only other reason I hate EA is because they take money away from companies like Nippon Ichi and Suda 51, who make good games. America makes such wonderful series as GTA, Ratchet and Clank, Lord of the Rings (Two Towers and ROTK only), Star Wars: Battlefront, and Burnout in this generation alone. Many other games aren't great, but they'll keep you for a day.
Guest Warmaster
A lot of the best games of this generation have come out of Washington, Maryland, and Alberta. A lot of the worst have come from Japan. BUT, the reverse is also true. So, let's not start bashing games based on region; anyone who does is, in my opinion, not a hardcore enough gamer to even have a well-founded opinion on the matter. EA is being very ruthless in the industry. But, they're good businessmen, and the only way to really kick their butt is to not buy any of their games. But, they're really good businessmen, so they'll keep marketing and selling their games like crazy ^_^ Oh well. The only games from EA that I personally truly enjoy are the Need For Speed series. Other than that, I really don't care about them. I do hear that working as a developer for EA is terrible and people burn out in like a year. satan665
I could have been OK with EA buying ou the NFL franchise if they didn't get really lazy with Madden 2006. There are a lot of fundamental problems with the game that just smack of laziness and rushed deadlines. If you never play the football games, one example is that punt returning is completely impossible in the current game. Your teammates simply do not block for you. This is something that worked fine in Madden 2004, so there really is no excuse for getting it wrong. There are lots of other examples from the game but I won't bore you with them. Basically EA can put out roster updates for a while with all of their exclusive lisences now. Hopefully this laziness doesn't end up going further than sports games.
