My dad and my mom went to Japan, my grandfather is from Japan. My bad luck is that I haven't been there. I wanna go to anime town(I saw it i the Inuyasha DVD). My dad said he liked Osaka of most placs. I want to go see the golden statue of Buddha. Good luck in Japan TigerFantasy, post pictures when you get back. Man I wish I could go!

I've been to Japan! on a school exchange trip. only for 2 weeks though...
but i only got to go to Kyoto and Sapporo (in northern hokkaido, if you don't know) It was so much fun! except for spending three days in airplanes and airports. I got to go to school too! (Asahigaoka high school, if anyone's heard of it) it was fun but i had almost no idea what anyone was saying. I did get to hear (kind of) the taxi driver person making fun of americans, at least i'm pretty sure thats what he was talking about.
whats tokyo like?
anyway, hope you have fun in the coolest place on earth!

I lived in Japan for nine months last year studying abroad. I lived in Kobe and went to school in a town called Okamoto, near Sannomiya. I got a chance to go to Tokyo too, actually went there twice, once with my friends and the other with my gf.

However, I didn't find Tokyo itself to be that exciting. I definitely wouldn't want to live there, but visiting is all right. I enjoyed the Kansai area more so, mainly because I got used to it and knew my way around (mostly).

lest put it this way
imagine a black person going to a indian country...what will happen?
ok..i am black ...i will go to Japan, i will be the only fool there,...lots of japanese will be watching me, and they can spot me easliy, cuz of my skin

it's easy for white people to go there, because from behind they can't spot them

my friend went to Japan onces, he is Shrlankan, he said they laughed at him (LOL)
and i am thinking your dad/relative that has being to Asia, may look asian or has it's blood

Would you be trying to hide from the scary Japanese people? Why do you see a problem with them being able to 'spot you easily'?

I think you're trying to make an issue out of nothing here. You seem to be making out that all Japanese people are incurably racist. If that's not what you meant, then I'm sorry, but that's what I got from your post; if it is what you meant, then you've picked up a horrible misconception from somewhere.

I'm almost exactly the same. I lived in the Kansai area and I can kind of name everywhere I've been (the cities, but not too specific) but I can't name for the life of me where I stayed when in Tokyo much less where I visited haha.
