In fact, it was just a side-adventure with the unimportant characters in the show, and only in the end do you see Crono and the others, but like, they don't do anything. There was also a "Chrono Trigger Resurrection" fanmade 3D game, but that got shutdown by Squaresoft simply because it was getting to be better than anything Square's put out in quite a while, haha.
