How much do you care about your grades?[/FONT']
Before, I didn't really care much about my grades, but now, I'm in grade 11. In order to get into the program I want in university, I need to have a 80% average, plus I have to take Calculus and two of Biology, Chemistry or Physics. So I really care about my grades so much, but I'm too lazy to study...

Why do they sterilize needles for lethal injections? It just seems kind of pointless to me.

I think they do, only because it's against health regulations not to.
. How much do you care about your grades?[/FONT']
I remember back when I was in middle school I didnt care about my grades because I didnt NEED to care about them at all. Everything just came easy to me and I always got an "A" average or better. There was never any need for me to study or even lift up the textbook at all when I was to study instead of being my lazy old self and do nothing instead.

When I went into High school however it was alot different. I actually HAD to start studing and I couldent be the old lazy me which I do miss terribly *sniffle* However I have always cared about my grades even if it looks like I dont.

Difficult question, if my grades stay above a low-to-mid B then I don't care, but if they drop, then i often put in a half-assed effort to boost them up. MOstly i'm either too lazy to study or i'm putting it off till tomorrow (jecht syndrome I'm afraid)

Question: Why are there so many different translations of the song "a cruel angel's thesis"? (the evangelion theme). the DVD collection has one, the platinum edition has one, and my "day of second impact" soundtrack has another. that's three that I count. but I've heard that there could be as many as twenty.
i have a question.

if you had to choose between being invisible or being able to fly which would you choose?
Thats easy, fly. Definatly fly. I would love to just be like, "Hey, you know what I'm in the mood for? Chinese." Then fly to China and get some. But that would actually take a long time. So I guess to be more specific, it would be to be able to fly really really fast.

Here's one with the potential for some funny answers. Were's the weirdest place you've ever hooked up?

My favourite element atm is Roentgenium (pardon any mispelling). As the most recently named element (2004 I think), checking to see whether its on a given periodic table gives you something to do when surrounded by them in chem lectures.

Is compound interest the most powerful force in the universe?
have any of you guys ever find one of those made in china stickers stuck on you and you don't know where it came from?
Actually, I've sat on one of those stickers before. It's annoying especially those stickers that come on bananas always end up sticking on me too. They come out of nowhere. The anwser? China is plotting to take over the world with their stickers. Imagine that.

Anyways...ahem...my question is...who came up with the name Banana? and why is a Banana called a Banana?

Have you consistently been called the wrong name for most of your life?

I can understand that as more it isnt a misprouncing of my name as it is getting the wrong name entirely. My name is Matthew...Yet you would be suprised how many times people call me Michael. For some odd reason all together my mom always ends up calling me Steven. I can understand that being as my uncle was named that but I get classmates, teachers, and for some odd reason people who I even WRITE my name out clear as I can right infront of them that says my name yet they get it wrong. I just think my name must just be in some reason related to michael in some way.
I think it would be cool to fly. You could go anywhere you wanted.

My question is- the usual -if you were stranded on a deserted island, who would you want as your companion?
IF I WAS STRANDED ON AN ISLAND I WOULD WANT MY GOOD FRIEND PAOLA WITH ME, BECAUSE SHE WOULD KNOW WHAT TO TALK ABOUT, AND SHE WOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO....... AND YOU?

DarkStar666, please lay off the ALL CAPS. It's seen as sort of the internet equivalent of shouting in people's faces, and you can imagine that that's seen as pretty rude.

Yes, I have.
My name is Danielle. But for some
odd reason, my teachers somehow
saw an ivisible "a" at the end of my
name and called me Daniela. Or they
would call me Daniel.

I corrected them countless times but
the next day they would do it again...
some great teachers I have.
Question:[/B'] have you ever eaten a banana with the skin on?
While I myself haven't eaten a banana with the peel still on, I watched my brother do just that a couple of days ago as part of a "macho" game he and his friends were having. Judging by the look on his face and my own experience in taking a taste of what the peel tastes like it's not something you'd do on a regular basis. Well at least he didn't have to eat the expired yoghurt one of his friends had the unfortunate pleasure of being challenged to do.

Blah Just the thought of this makes me want to cringe.

I remember I had just recently moved to a new school just around two weeks before it was to begin and I had to read a book and do an eight page project on it. That really got me feeling kinda..flipy/tipsy. I had done something although I cant remember that I just wanted to do it all in one night..I found out that it took me actually around 24 hours to complete it...I have hated english ever since...

Question: What is the longest you have ever spend doing something without taking a break ?
The longest I did something without a break was right around ten and a half hours. I was taking a load of refrigerated goods up to Seattle Washington and a couple of times when I wanted to pull over and stop for a break the rest area?s were full as it was night time. There just wasn?t anywhere to park a Semi Truck. So I ended up having to continue, as you just can?t pull over anywhere you want as there are regulations against parking in some areas and in others there really isn?t anywhere to park a 70-foot long truck.

Question: Why do dogs circle around several times before settling down to sleep? I mean first they circle moving clockwise and then they turn around and circle counter clockwise. Sometimes they will do that for over five minutes before finally curling up to sleep. I?ve gotten conflicting answers on that one.

That's something that's always puzzled me, the dogs I've had never showed that particular trait but my uncle's pups are doing it constantly. I asked a vet a couple of months ago exactly why dogs do the whole circling thing and he said it's often because they're restless before they sleep and do that to burn off some energy.
My question: Who invented the first pie? I really want to go back in time and thank him with all my heart.
Well, historians have recorded that the roots of pie can loosely be traced back to the ancient Egyptians. The bakers to the pharaohs incorporated nuts, honey, and fruits in bread dough, a primitive form of pastry. Drawings of this can be found etched on the tomb walls of Ramses II, located in the Valley of the Kings.

So go back in time and find Ramses chef and give him a hug for me too.

Here's my question. How do they cram all that gram into golden grams? Or more specifically, how do they make it?

Yes, there would be much thanks to the creator of teh uber pie.

Historians have recorded that the roots of pie can loosely be traced back to the ancient Egyptians. The bakers to the pharaohs incorporated nuts, honey, and fruits in bread dough, a primitive form of pastry. Drawings of this can be found etched on the tomb walls of Ramses II, located in the Valley of the Kings. King Ramses II was the third pharoh in the nineteenth dynasty. He ruled from 1304 to 1237 B.C. After years of the tombe being looted and weathered, great amounts of effort are in progress with the hope of returning the tomb to a somewhat presentable stage.

Historians believe that the Greeks actually originated pie pastry. The pies during this period were made by a flour-water paste wrapped around meat; this served to cook the meat and seal in the juices.

The Romans, sampling the delicacy, carried home recipes for making it (a prize of victory when they conquered Greece). The wealthy and educated Romans used various types of meat in every course of the meal, including the dessert course (secundae mensea). According to historical records, oysters, mussels, lampreys, and other meats and fish were normal in Roman puddings. It is thought that the puddings were a lot like pies..

The Roman statesman, Marcus Porcius Cato (234-149 B.C.), also know as Cato the Elder, wrote a treatise on agriculture called De Agricultura. He loved delicacies and recorded a recipe for his era's most popular pie/cake called Placenta. They were also called libum by the Romans, and were primarily used as an offering to their gods. Placenta was more like a cheesecake, baked on a pastry base, or sometimes inside a pastry case.

The delights of the pie spread throughout Europe, via the Roman roads, where every country adapted the recipes to their customs and foods.
Why, exactly, is the sky blue?
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

As you look closer to the horizon, the sky appears much paler in color. To reach you, the scattered blue light must pass through more air. Some of it gets scattered away again in other directions. Less blue light reaches your eyes. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white.
How many different colors are there? Total.
There are only about 216 websafe colours. But total? Pretty much infinite. Every single possible variation in between the traditional colours of the rainbow. And even once you're outside the visible spectrum into infra-red, ultra-violet or even ridiculous wavelngths like radio waves, technically all those waves have a colour too. It just doesn't show up on our optic nerves.
If one train leaves Ohio state travelling at 725 miles per hour and One train were to leave Guam at 795 miles per hour using a bridge built to Pensicola Florida, Which would get to San Fransisco first?
Well I don't know where any of those places are (beyond the broad umbrella of "yeah, they're, um, in the USA") but I guess the answer would depend on whether the trains are taking the shortest possible route (i.e. a straight line) or not, how many stops they make along the way, and most importantly, whether either of them are actually going to San Fransisco, heh.
