I think the lawsuits are stupid and at the same time I?ve done a little reading and the Food administration in America is corrupt in representing what?s safe and healthy to eat. A huge amount of our food is processed to make things cheaper to produce and to make it tastier so people will want more. Anyone who knows me can verify this. Though, I also like expunge, spleen, verisimilitude, and muskrat.
Where I live at (America) the movie theaters usually show 'real live' movies. Do you ever wonder why people stay in a relationship when the other person is physically abusive? I see people do it and I just don?t understand why they stick around. Every time I?ve had a boyfriend like that I?ve always ended the relationship.
There are numerous psychological reason for the unsettling trend of people becoming trapped in abusive relationships, this biggest being fear; once your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife starts beating you or whatnot, you might not want to run for fear of what they'll do in escalation. Alternatively, some people have such a high degree of self-loathing or low self-worth that they believe they deserve the abuse. Then, you have the types who know that they "really do love eachother," it's just an "occasional incident." Then there are the masochists, like Lix mentioned. It all varies. Don't have another question, I'm afraid. Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. Well, 6, technically.

It?s a bit complex but people who are co-dependant let another person?s behavior affect them. They often become obsessed with controlling or attempting to control the other person?s destructive behavior. We're some back-woods, under developed, primitive, savage planet. The only reason I'd see to come here, from an alien's perspective, would be to get a few slaves, which I'm sure is against their hyper-advanced code of morals. :p Next question: Should we [the world in general] invest time and effort to explore space, or should we focus on events back home? Stuart
Next question: Should we [the world in general'] invest time and effort to explore space, or should we focus on events back home? Is there anything to be gained in space?
Well, that may be why we are investing time and effort to explore space; To find out if there is anything to be gained in the vast beyond. Lol. Well, I don't feel like space exploration really involves "us" as the general public. When you ask if we should focus on events back home, I don't see where space exploration takes our focus of the events, and problems on earth. If you're asking if NASA should quit blasting monkeys into space and begin worrying about our planets problems-- Then no; I don't believe it should. I may not know much concerning this topic but, I don't see where space exploration is our main focus. I find it no different than deep sea exploration in the matter of "is there anything to be gained". There are many oraganizations, industries, governmental, etc etc, That main concerns are the events here on earth. Space exploration is a small issue in the long run. Now getting back to the question "Is there anything to be gained in space?", There is always a possibility, and that's what we're trying to answer-- What's out there? There literally is a universe to discover, and with it many things could be gained, or it may be a complete waste. Who knows? I'm sure there are many factors that could be used to argue that there is much to be gained from all forms of research. I'm sure there were people in history who may of asked "Is there anything to be gained from a microscope, and cell research?" That may be a poor example, but it gets the point across. The future is so interesting to me, I'd love to know what happens to humanity, what comes up next in technology...hell, it'd be cool just to eat in a food court of the future or see a movie of the future (random MST3K reference, sorry) Really, I just want to see what the future holds. Although, being a history nut, the past would be so much fun...eee, it's actually hard to chose. And I've fallen up stairs plenty of times. It's just tripping while walking up so that you fall forward. I'm clumsy, I can say easily that I've fallen up stairs a lot. Question!
