Anime series that really need a sequel

There are several anime series that are out there that sort of leave you really wanting more, I mean the ones that you began to watch, then you get drawn into it, and when its over you start searching for that non-existant sequal. Just about everone here knows what I'm talking about. Some are just too short. Which anime deserve sequals and why. Here are some of mine.

1) Trigun- That series was all around bad *****. It NEEDS to have another season. They can't just let something that good end like that. Does Vash goe back to Merill? Does Knives change? I need more!!!

2)Outlaw Star- Ya I know its kinda old but it was still a good show. They left it wide open for the continuing adventures of the infamous outlaw and his crew, show lets get on with it, what's next?

3) Hellsing ( the original, not Hellsing Ultimate)- They left too many loose ends in that series, such as who Alucard REALLY was (there has been a debate on many a message board on that one) who made the freak chips, and who the @#$% was Incognito's master?

I agree, the anime is far to short in my opinion and as much as i love manga theres quite a few volumes to get through and at £7 a book its cheaper in the long run to buy the anime (how poor am i? cant even afford a manga series :animecry: ) Besides its nice to see the characters in motion :p

I'll have to agree with Star112.
I think Fruits Basket should have a
sequel. But I heard that people are
going to send in 1,000 paper cranes
to try and make the company make
more episodes. I hope it works.

:flasher: :cussing: I think that they should make more Inuyasha episodes. i know that there was more manga to pick up where the series left off. I don't like how the television series ends! If anybody knows if Inuyasha is still being published could you PM me? (Sorry if that was spam)

I've heard they stopped the Inuyasha anime because the manga was running out. I'm sure they'll countinue the series someday. I just wish they'd did a better job with Gundam SEED Destiny though. It's screwed up so much in the end it desperately needs a sequel yet would be nearly impossible to start one.

I think Spiral needs a sequel. There were so many questions still left unanswered at the end of the anime. It was a good anime, I thought, but those questions need answers! ^^

As for Fruits Basket, I'm perfectly content with the anime staying as it is and just the manga proceeding. Though, if they did make more Fruits Basket anime (which I'm not opposed to,) I would want it to finish the entire story, not just do another chunk of it.

Fruits' Basket is the only anime out there that desperately needs a sequel (I can think of some American shows such as Samurai Jack and MEGAS that need sequels, but they don't really count as anime, and there is some shows like Hellsing and Inu-Yasha that have ended without conclusion, but Hellsing Ultimate looks better than the original could ever hope to be and we all know that if they continued Inu-Yasha it would just be more repetitive crap without any actual plot or character development). I'd love a Cowboy Bebop prequel (NOT a sequel) ala Batman: Year One concerning Spike's early days, Vicious, Julia, Gren, and the formation of the Bebop or a few more "midquel" movies that filled in the gaps between episodes, but I don't need it to happen, and it would ONLY work if Shinichiro Wantanabe was directing it.

I get to beat up the first person who says "SPIKE ISN'T DEAD!" and/or suggests more episodes of FLCL. :p

A Cowboy Bebop prequel would be pretty cool, come to think about it.

Anyways, I think a show that needs to be finished is Pilot Candidate. They only did 12 episodes, I think they lost funding. The 3D animation in it isn't the best, but I actually like it alot, it makes things seem more like mechs to me. But even if the rest of it ends up sucking I would still like closure.

ArgentoSoma is one I would like to see a sequel to, I am always plauged but the question "What happens next" even if the anime is ended with a good conclusion. But then again, I have some unanswered questions that it could explain, like
How did Guenevieve(sp?) die?

This makes no sense really but I would like a sequel to Last Exile. I thought the series ended very good and didn't really leave too much unanswered, maybe a Prequel explaining the origin of the Guild and whatknot. I just want more!

I would like to see a sequel to Neon Genesis Evagelion, maybe like a parallel dimention one, where things don't go horribly wrong in the end(I thought the ending was done well, even if I got alittle depressed and disturbed), and Shinji isn't such a little school girl. Thats probably too much to ask though.

Also, a sequel to Soultaker would be sweet as well. Kyoske is probably one of my alltime favorite characters. SO ya I'll be quiet now.:animeswea

Giant Robo could use a sequel. I mean, the OVA practically ends on a cliffhanger, haha. That's sort of an unfair way to characterize it, admittedly, but on the whole it feels like a single arc of what should have been a much longer anime. For comparison purposes, imagine how you'd feel if the only part of Yu Yu Hakusho that was animated was Chapter Black, or if Bleach stopped right after the Soul Society arc.

They wrapped it up as best they could have--I just felt kind of gypped for not getting to see the real
Big Fire (well, except for the very end, wherein he showed up randomly naked).
This is a good example of a case in which there's definitely more material that could have been used to make a lengthy and solid sequel. Something like Witch Hunter Robin, on the other hand, doesn't need a sequel--it just needs an ending that doesn't, you know, completely suck. :p

I love Last Exile. I love it so much. But the ending.....I mean it was good, but.....
In my opinion there were too many questions left floating. I dunno, I just think it could have been a little more in depth. I don't think it would be nessicary to have a sequal *series* but maybe a movie. But it's probably not going to happen. I'd really like to see more though, because it was such an awsome series. :D

I would love to see more of Yami no Matsuei made into an anime. It was just too short in my opinion and there?s plenty more of the story to be told in the Manga?s.

I also would love to see more of Fruits Basket made into an anime. It would be interesting to see how they resolve the issue of portraying Akito
as a guy when in fact Akito is a woman.

I always thought Get Backers badly needs a sequel. It's not that the ending is bad or anything. It just made me screaming for more. There should also be a side story on Himiko and all those Last Children stuff. Another big mission on fighting the Gods of the Limitless Fortress and completely saving the whole city would probably satisfy me.

Characters in arcs that didn't make it to the anime are far more interesting than, say, Maria Won. You've got that teacher from St. Michael's, Tsuzuki's partner before Hisoka and the shinigami. Meh, I've always wondered how (beautiful) Touda and Sohryuu will register as animated characters.

Now there was a sequel to this one, but it needs another one desperatly. Vandread, there was a second stage, but they need a third stage. The ending didn't really give a lot of closure to the series and there needs to be another one, just a thought. there are lots of rumors, but htere has yet to any real proof. I'd love to see another sequel

Oh one more anime that needs a sequel, more then any other. S-cry-ED, simply the worst ending in the history of anime. This series needs some sort of closure, in that, it needs a sequel. It was sucha great series with one of the greateset anime characters ever, Kazuma the shell bullet. The ending was enough to drive me to nothing short of pure rage. They need a sequel to this series more thena humanity needs a cure for cancer, please if there is any kind of god, he will give us a sequel to S-cry-ED.
