Rogger waved his hand infront of his face like it would actually help him see, "Bloody Girls, Hey! Over this way!" He shouted as he noticed the outlines of people form in the mist, "You three alright? What the?" He stopped in his tracks as he noticed a knight, fully armored, "What the bloody ell!?" He yelled as he regained himself and ran to the girls, "Who's this fella than?"

[size=1][b]"What's wrong, Alex?" [/b]asked Amres smoothly. Alex ran his hand through his hair again, and when he retracted it, he realised his palm was slicked with nervous sweat, and his entire hand was trembling.

[b]"It's this note. It's really beginning to freak me out. I mean, it came here this morning, mentioning the water, and hardly anyone knew about us coming down to the water this morning. And then there's the mystery of how it got into my room without anyone opening the door. It's all just a little too much to be an accident. I don't like it," [/b]he replied, stumbling with his words.

[b]"Hey, Alex, we're all a little freaked out. I mean, some of us knew people that have disappeared here, and we don't really want to know whether they're dead, but curiosity brought us here, and it will carry us through. Just keep focused on the task at hand, forget about the letter, and you'll be fine."

"Yeah, I guess you're right," [/b]he replied, and got to his feet, [b]"Hey, where did Ashlyn and Rowena go?"

"They went to find Kei. But now Roger's gone as well."

"That's strange. Maybe we should go and find them." [/b]It didn't take them long. They found Ashlyn, Rowena and Kei standing over what looked like a knight, in full armour, who was lying on the floor. Roger stood a couple of paces away.

[b]"What's happened here?" [/b]asked Alex, making his way over to where the girls stood over the knight, [b]"And who the hell is this guy?"

"We don't know. That's what we're trying to find out," [/b]said Rowena, [b]"The guy just attacked us for no reason, along with another one just like him, but I don't know where he went."

"Are any of you hurt?"

"Kei's got a tiny scratch on her cheek, but apart from that we're all ok, I think." [/b]The other girls nodded, [b]"A little shook up but pretty much alright."

"Good. We'd better try and find out what this guy was doing," [/b]said Alex, grabbing the knight and dragging him, with some difficulty and a little help from the others, to sit him up against a tree.

[b]"Now, what were you doing here?" [/b]he asked, a hint of menace in his voice...

[B]?Trouble? [/B] Ashlyn took cool aim and shot the knight in the arm. He fell off the horse with a clang. The horse started and ran off into the mist. Just then the rest of the group arrived and stared at the fallen knight. Alex broke the silence first

[B]"What's happened here?" [/B] asked Alex, making his way over to where the girls stood over the knight, [B]"And who the hell is this guy?"[/B]

"We don't know. That's what we're trying to find out," [/B] said Rowena, [B]"The guy just attacked us for no reason, along with another one just like him, but I don't know where he went."[/B]

The knight removed his helm. He was Leo?s age, his long brown hair tied back with a strap of leather. He looked at Alex for a moment, and then nodded. The fog, which had started to dissipate, thickened again quickly. The knight smiled slightly and said something in an odd tongue before the fog closed around him and he disappeared, right from under Alex?s grip.

The fog lightened and everyone turned and looked to see where the knight had gone to find nothing but themselves and the knight?s sword on the ground. Alex stood up and shook his head vigorously[B] ?What did he say? Did anyone understand what he said??[/B]

Kei stood and walked over to them. [B]?He said the Lady calls us.?[/B]

Everyone looked confused. Ashlyn looked around at the group. Everyone was there, except?

[B]?Where?s Pat??[/B]

Leanna turned quickly and checked behind her before looking at Ashlyn [B]?He was just here a moment ago.?[/B]

Leo nodded [B]?She?s right, he came with us to check on you. That?s very odd?[/B]

Ashlyn looked up at the field and the hill the knights had ridden down. Her breath caught in her chest and she took an involuntary step backwards. [I]It was the exact same hill from her dream?[/I]

[COLOR=Indigo]Armes was happy. She didn't know exactly [i]why[/i] she was happy, only that she was. She hummed lightly to herself as she watched the others interacting and tried to think of the reason for why she was happy.

[i]Is it this beautiful area?[/i] Her mind responded in the affirmative.

[i]How about this fog...do I like that?[/i] Again the yes as she walked to the edge of the water and knelt, dipping her hands into it.

[i]And the water...the water is good as well, I think...and the mystery of why we're here. I like that as well...[/i] The answer was once more positive as she continued to run her hand through the water. [i]And that note for Alex...how...stange.[/i] A smile crept across her face. She glanced over her shoulder eyes flickering lazily as she scooped water up in her cupped hands and let it run through her fingers repeatadly.

"Who's the...lady? And is everything alright, Ashlyn?" [/COLOR]

Everyone was looking at her now. [I]Everyone was shaken by Pat?s disappearance, from right next to them[/I].

[B]"Who's the...lady? And is everything alright, Ashlyn?" [/B]

Rogger shook his head [B]?No idea who the lady is, but we aren?t going to find out standin around here. I say we go back to the boat and head out.?[/B]

[B]?I agree, Pat?s probably just playing one of his dumb jokes, it would serve him right if we left him behind,?[/B] Alex said, looking over the field

Everyone nodded, and most liked Alex?s explanation and started walking toward the boat with a lighter step. Ashlyn grabbed Leo?s arm and they fell to the back of the group. She whispered as they walked. [B]?Leo, this, I saw this before?[/B]

[B]?What, the knights??[/B]

[B]?No, Pat vanishing? it?s exactly like this dream I had last night. The hill, the field, Pat?s disappearance, all of it.?[/B] she paused and looked up at Leo?s thoughtful face [B]?I must sound like a crazy person.?[/B]

[B]?No, not at all. Don?t worry Kelly, we?ll find him?[/B]

Anyone who is a reincarnate with a magical power will have a kind of ?upgrade? in their power and their knowledge of it and how to use it; this can be through an event or interaction on the boat, or from this next bit, you decide (have some fun with this).

[size=1][color=#6633ff]As the group trudged back to the boat, a thought came over Kei's mind.

[b]How did I know what the knight was saying?[/b]

She had never heard that language before, nor had she ever heard of it. It was like a cross of Old Gaelic and maybe the ancient Gaul language. It certainly had some certain syllable similarities. But what was the strangest thing was that Kei noticed the coat of arms on the knight's shield. It would have been dated to the early Dark Ages - around the time when the myth of Camelot came into existence.

" Strange...." Kei mumbled.
" What's strange?" Alex asked.
" On the knight's coat of arms, the symbols would have been dated to the early Dark Ages, which was when the first appearance of the Camelot myth was documented. By word of mouth of course. But even stranger, is the actual coat of arms. It is exactly how the myth described the coat of arms of Arthur, the King of Camelot."

" That is strange. Could it be a coincidence?"
Kei shook her head. " There's too much evidence in collaboration with each other to suggest more of coincidence. Could these events... be linked? Who is the Lady that the knight spoke of? There was the Lady of the Lake in the Camelot myth."

Alex laughed. " Kei, I think you're thinking too much. Relax. Maybe this Lady is a noble around here, inviting us to something."
Kei gave Alex a disapproving look. " Oh please, who knows of nobles around here?"
" Anything's possible," Alex replied.

[b]Yes.... anything is posible....[/b]

The mist had cleared and now the team could see the lake, shimmering beautifully under the boat as they approached it. Kei looked over to the other side of the lake, the one they were to be travelling to. In the distance, she could make out a castle on the side of the lake, the ruins of a great fortress against the mountains that rose from the other bank of the lake.

All of the sudden, a flash of memory went through her mind's eyes. She stumbled a bit, Alex catching her.
" Kei... Kei, what's the matter?"
She put her hand to her forehead. " That castle..... I remember.... being on top of the highest tower. Fire rained from the sky. I could control exactly where it hit..... " She cringed as she tried to remember what she saw. " I felt like I was as powerful as a god, controlling the fire, the lightning of the storm above, the earth underneath the attacker's feet."

Alex looked at her concerned as she straightened up a little. " Was that a memory? Or was that your imagination?"
She looked at him with an innocent look, her amazing blue eyes surveying the feeling the purest. " It was a memory...... it couldn't have been...... how is that possible?"

" I'm beginning to think anything is possible since this morning," Alex said.[/color][/size]

[size=1]Water sloshed against the side of the boat, rocking it slightly, and Alex looked over towards the castle that loomed over them. It was little more than a ruin now, but he could tell that it had been grand once, home to many brave knights, and place of many battles.

[i]Or maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic, [/i]thought Alex. He thought that it was probably the latter, and looked on as they floated gently towards the island.

[/size] [center][b][size=1]Suddenly...

[/size][/b][size=1][i]The sky was lit up with fire. He looked back and saw the old one conjuring flame into the sky. His armour, although heavy and slightly cumbersome, felt right on him. He felt at home in his armour, with a longsword in his hand. He had discarded his helmet way back up the field. The castle was under heavy siege now, but he felt confident they could win.

The enemy closed in on him, and he swung his weapon, cleaving through enemy ranks. There were some who said he was like a demon when he had a sword in his hand, but he just felt instinct kicking in. He had been fighting all his life, and it was simply his way of life now.

Blood stained him, his armour and his weapon were drenched in the scarlet liquid that poured from his enemies' wounds. And yet, he felt right. He was in his place...

[/i][/size] [left][b][size=1]"Alex," [/size][/b][size=1]came Kei's voice, [b]"Snap out of it!" [/b]She shook him, and he snapped out the trance-like state he was in.

[b]"What happened?" [/b]she asked.

[b]"I don't know. I kinda had a vision like yours. I was in a battle, I was wearing armour. I killed a lot fo people."

"Slightly scarier than mine, then," [/b]she said, half-joking.

[b]"It must be something about this place," [/b]he said, slightly creeped out. A sudden chill came about, and he pulled his jacket on, and wrapped his scarf around his neck to keep himself warm. Kei was shivering slightly, so Alex dug into his bag and pulled out a spare jumper.

[b]"Here you go," [/b]he said, offering the garment to her, [b]"You look cold."[/b]

[Kairi]

[SIZE=1][COLOR=DarkSlateGray][CENTER]As everyone got onto the boat...and everyone was all safe and sound within their group...Leo noticed the behaviors that everyone was going through and observed them intensly. He smiled at Ashley who was talking with the other and continued in his thought...

Suddenly it dawned upon him...their behaviors...interactions...talents. Looking into his bag, he took a glance at the sword the knight had dropped back where they were. It was large...a broadsword with a particular insignia on its handle. The blades centerpiece was thick with a blue coloring of stone surrounded by it's sharp, sliver edges.

It fasinated him...calming him...soothing him as if it was a part of him. He shivered and blinked...snapping himself out of the trance and zipped the bag closed.

[I]Avalon...[/I] a word the appeared in his mind...bringing him to think about the ancient stories of Arthur and his knights...or Guinavere, Lancelot...then it dawned on him...

[B]"Everyone...ask yourselves this question...these feelings you have...emotions...visions...think of the story of Arthur....try to feel and see through their eyes...who do you associate yourself with the best?"[/B]

[B]"These visions are important...and this fog is the key...which I'm sure will help our search for those missing."[/B]

[size=1][color=#6633ff]Kei smiled her thanks to Alex as she gratefully took the jumper from him and wrapped it around herself. The chill was quite unnerving. It was as sudden as the mist coming in. The whole environment felt mystical... even magical. Kei felt a strange sensation running through her veins as Leo said his part.

Her mind wandered back to how she made the knight's sword shatter and the memory of her controlling lightning and fire raining from the sky, and the earth underneath the feet of the enemy. She had even felt old, but so powerful... wise and powerful.

" Merlin...." she whispered softly, without any knowledge of what she was doing. Alex heard her.
" Merlin? You mean the wizard from the myth of Camelot?" he asked her.
Kei looked up at him and nodded slowly. " Yes... Merlin.... I can associate to him... the most."
" What do you mean?" Alex replied.
" He was a master of magics, so the legend is told. He knew most and tried to guide Arthur in the right direction, as well as the Round Table. A wizard with power and wisdom. I don't know why, but I feel.... I feel I could connect with his character the most."
" Such a powerful entity..." Alex trailed off.

" I don't feel powerful, or wise. But... ever since I was a child, I had always felt something inside was old, or had already experienced the woes and triumphs of life. It guided me through my life to become what I am.... could.... could it be that I share a soul?" Kei wondered.
" That sounds completely ludicrous," Alex said, " But, I can agree to that somewhat."

Kei shivered. It wasn't like her to feel this way - insecure and in unfamilar territory. The boat ride was nearly finished. The other bank was in sight - and with that mysterious mist surrounding it.[/color][/size]
