Why OB?

I joined this forum for similar reasons as kayutori_sama. I started out at gamefaqs though. That was the worse experience ever. I joined that in 2000 and left at the end of 2002. (Why did I stay there... "shrugs" no life perhaps) I was arguing with someone different everyday. Anyways.... at the end of 2002 I was introduced to Gamesquad / Yugioh Dungeon (hide in a corner) / Optigamer.

Met alot of decent people there. They had their ups and downs. Some kids tried to mature way too early. But it was alot of fun there. A little later on down the line (March or April 2004 I think) the owner sold it to someone else, and all hell broke loose. Got banned. (Got banned for telling the truth... how do you like those apples >_>)

Anyways. From that point on I went forum searching. Ranging from Videogame forums to Anime Forums. 3 months later, I get an IM from a friend saying that the old members were getting together at another forum ran by a 12 year old.... (big mistake) I decided to join in on the party. Turns out that this 12 year old admin is holding a grudge against me from something that happened way back then. And even then it was over he said she said garbage. (I think this is where I started hating all 9 - 16 year olds)

And so I get banned there as well. (Corrupt admin <_<) Went forum searching again and this time I hit a crossroad. (Computer problems, that damn blackout, finanical problems, family problems, broke a leg, fired from work.... blah blah) I'll skip the beginning of this year. (hard times again) Took a break from the net for a good 3 - 4 months. Come back and continue forum searching and came across Anime Chains. At 1st glance. That forum is very decent. Get to posting and such, it's a whole different story. It's pretty much an Inuyasha population there.

I had to leave from there fast mainly because you cannot criticize on animes. (You can share your opinions but you can't criticize.) And everybody was obsessed with Inuyasha. (I LOVE SESSHOUMARU, INUYASHA IS MY LOVER..... the hell??? Too weird for me.) So I found this forum. (I've known about this forum for quite some time although I was kind of scared of joining because I think there were some craved fans of some series.... don't remember though) I've been looking for a forum that can have some nice conversations and such. And so I've came here because this is the only forum that I know of that can handle such things.

If I had to count.... I would think I've been to over 50-60 forums. (Final Fantasy, anime, games in general forums) And most of them had the things I can't stand in common.

Nice people but the forum isn't active
Active forum but corrupt staff
Active forum but with 9-16 year olds who thinks they're bad and thinks you have to share the same opinions.

So there you have it. My semi-life story over the internet ^_^.
You were Red XIII? I wondered where you'd got to, didn't realise that you had changed names.[/color']
Oh I never really went anywhere, though a lot of people who I role-played with as Red XIII never realised I went on to become Outcast and the same goes for those who never realised Outcast eventually became Kane and later Gavin. I'm fairly sure I remember you under another username other than Evil Jedi, Saiyangohan2002 or Shinji, but with my memory I could be just going senile with age as an Oldie.
I originally came to this cite after a bitter rivalry with a 'clan' at this other cite, which cause me to abandon it forever. I had heard of it through friends at the other board, and quickly became enthralled by the RPs, joining up with the likes of DragonballZMan, Warlock, Angel Saturn Healer, Gouchan, and if memory serves me right, RedXIII, now Gavin. And man did we have some good RPs. The Hunt for the DragonBalls went through 3 full instalments, and lasted for months. Granted the posts were short and simple, as most RPs were at the time, but they were fun.
Yep I was there Outlaw, and I remember those RPGs of yours fondly. It was times like that that makes me sometimes wish I could get back to just simply role-playing and having fun without getting worked up over posting quality like I have a tendency to do now.

Initially I joined myOtaku as I was looking for a site that not only was more tolerant of yaoi and yuri anime, but one that would let you post wallpapers from the various games and anime shows of that nature.

I had a problem with one of the wallpapers I submitted and it was suggested to me by another myOtaku user to come here to OtakuBoards for assistance. So I started a thread in the Suggestion and Feedback area and I was literally blown away and how friendly, nice and helpful the people here were. The issue was quickly resolved.

As a result of that I have made several new friends here and I keep coming back as it?s thankfully fairly spam free and it?s been a pleasure to talk with more open minded and educated anime fans.

I?m really enjoying being a member and I have just recently started becoming involved in the RPG side of this forum. Overall I wish I had found this place much sooner.

Hahahaha...you would think you wouldn't see the whole typical Inuyasha fangirl on every forum, but I guess I was wrong. :animesigh

Actually, I joined OB finally after a couple of years. I was hesitatant at first because I have a very hard time keeping up with conversation (it would help if I'd visit more than once every three months, though), but I finally gave in to the hype. I'm actually pretty pleased with the fourms. People actually follow the standard rules of grammar. I can't read writing with symbols and numbers stuck in odd places, so this is a lovely reprieve from the stupid. ^_^
