What is your dream job? It can be a real job or a fantasy job.

i guess I have always wanted to be a sorceress. :modrod: :stupid: :help: Of course, I would be a good sorceress. i did not say goody two shoes- but not too evil!

Of course this would not be possible -because of my religion, but oh well!

What is your choice?

Fantasy:
Guardian of Lost Souls. After I pass on, I would look after those who have lost their way and guard them from external influences and attacks. I would protect them until they found their way based on their own decisions.

(Yeah, I know, kind of corny, but still, I can be unrealistic for a moment, can't I?)

Reality:
I don't really know, but some career in biology pertaining to entomology and/or herpetology.

(Any suggestions?)

Well, over the years I've been through many ideas of what I've wanted to do. I believe when I was five I wanted to be a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, a firefighter, a cop, a mailperson, and alive. Now, I dread the idea of being any of those except a teacher but that's not where I'm trying to go.

Now, I'm thinking about directing myself toward food and psychology. The two have absolutely nothing in common, but it's what I'm interested in. I still have time to think about it though so bleh....

Reality Dream Job:
Simultaneously a composer, music teacher, and musician.
Yes, I know none of these pay very well, and are time consuming, but I love music, and I have always wanted to be a part of the arts. Fortunatly for me my dream reality job may not be a dream at all. I am already going to a school that focuses solely on the fine arts and hope to be very sucsessful there.
In-your-Dreams Dream Job:
A proffesional bum. I would get paid to sit around and do nothing. And love it. But more fantastic you ask? How about this then: The 27th Supreme One, Pramita Hare Krishna Holy Holy Holy Law of Moses, Below the Honored Bronze Statue Never Sinking Dharmapala Mountian God 7113218? That would be a fun job, indeed.

Dream-Dream-Job:

Goalie for the Montreal Canadiens. I really wish I was good enough to play in the NHL for my team, the Montreal Canadiens. I'd get paid millions to do what I love. I'd play agressive and I'd play well. I'd love it! I'd love to be good enough!

More-Likely-Job:

Author. I've got an uncanny talent and love of writing, and I'd like nothing more than to do it for a living. I'd go for a blend of Sci-fi and comedy, akin to Douglas Adams but not quiet so brilliant.

My dream job for right now would definately have to be an author. In order to get there though, I'm majoring in English and I think I'm going to be a book editor until I can get to the point where I think I'll be confident enough to be one. Of course thats not the only job that I want to do, if anything else, I'll be a part-time author and teacher. It's kind of simple and not exciting to most, but otherwise I'd rather do something involving hollywood like doing screenwriting for a movie.

Fantasy Job:
A Mediator. It would be so cool to talk, see, and touch ghost. I would either pester them, or ask them how their lives were. Plus, I'd have some kooky adventures trying to get them to the other side.

Reality Job:
A Geologist. I really like plate tectonics, natural land formations, and the rock cycle. Yeah, to some it may be boring, but to me, I become a maniac. A plus is that I'd get to travel...

Fantasy: I would like to be a professional martial artist. Probably in Kenpo Karate, Muay Thai, or Wushu.

Reality: I would love to create movies, or video games. If I were to create video games it wouldn't be on the technical side as I'd rather be the guy designing the concepts and yelling at the programmers when they tell me the technology hasn't been made to do what I want my games to do.

Movies would be great and instead of using anime or actors I would jump on the computer animation aspect of it and try to make something that uses concepts from anime and comics, but not it ways that are too hard for audiences foreign to anime and comics to swallow. When possible I would use actors in movies not so demanding on special effects, but I would refuse to use camera tricks that distort the action so you can't see. I hate that effect.

A geologist! *hugs celestialcharm* It's a wonderful job! It's so fun that I wouldn't mind dying in the field. I've always wondered if other people can appreciate the obvious changes in rock types one sees in a trip down country roads. Made me appreciate this planet more, it did.

As for a fantasy job, I'd love to be one of the Ghostbusters. The thought of being able to lock malevolent beings in some man-made container works for me. And hey, they surely wouldn't mind adding a girl into their posse, yeah?

Reality is for people who lack imagination.
What my diploma says is that I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant. Unfortunately due to my health I am "retired" from working in vet med. So currently I am in the process of turning my dream job into my reality. As of now I work on theOtaku.com network, freelance work for anime companies like Harmony Gold and I am a screener (reviewer of anime) for ADV films.

Dream a little dream with me.
I am currently in the process of working my way into the anime industry. I would love to become a staff writer for an anime magazine like Newtype. :catgirl:

Interesting, most interesting.

Having spent the last two years pondering that very question you'd think I'd have actually have a concrete answer, alas like so much else in life we can never settle on what job we'd be happy in.

Fantasy: If we were to take fantasy as to mean something that would only occur either in television, movies, books or our dreams then my fantasy job would be a toss up between being a Starfleet Captain or a Jedi Knight. Having been a science fiction fan since before I can remember I've always dreamt about being one in one of those two roles. In the case of the Starfleet Captain, I think it would be the sheer thrill of adventure, being out among the stars going boldly where no man has gone before.

As a Jedi Knight, I think being the pinnacle of morality and justice would do wonders for one's self-esteem, the thought of being the personification of all that is just in the galaxy and upholding the rights of the downtrodden is something I think I would very much enjoy doing. I suppose the ability to gracefully decimate all enemies with my lightsaber and Force powers would also be nice, but wouldn't be the most important part of it, at least to me.

Reality: I think my dream reality job would be to be a doctor, when I did my work experience in my local hospital three years ago it was very satisfying to be able to help people either feel or get better. I doubt however without finding some backdoor entrance through other university courses that I'd ever be able to get the point requirements to do Medicine. I think the hours might eventually catch up to me as well, as would losing patients which inevitably will happen to any doctor, and having something like that happen would have a very profound effect on me.

Currently I'm looking to do Psychology in the hope of becoming a counsellor or psychiatrist though the former would be the preference rather than the latter. Having actually required the services of a counsellor I think I would enjoy helping people get through impasses in their lives and rebuilding towards a brighter and better future.
