My first serious crush, I do believe, was a guy named Gareth Cawood. I liked him when I was about, er, 8 I think it was, when I lived in South Africa.

I liked him for two years and despite the fact he and the whole year knew I liked him, I never told him personally. Shame, that, we could have been good together.

I've gone through a lot of relationships (long ones) where I've thought I was in love, but was sadly mistaken. This ones for keeps, though.

My first serious crush was probably around early middle school. We were already good friends from fifth grade. One Spring Break, I went to stay with my old family friends in Iwakuni. For some reason, he was the only person back home I thought about. I found that I had taken a liking to him. When I came back, I kept it to myself, letting only a few of my close friends know about it. Every time he came around, I started getting giddy, nervous, and shy. It stayed like that for about three years when he finally had to move. To my disappointment, another close friend of mine, who was also a close friend of his, told me that he did like me. The only problem was I was so quiet around him.

Anyhow my first serious crush. Last year...LOL WEll he's one of my close/best friends. And unfortunatly I fell in love with him. We've been through lots and lots has been pain and hurt. But I still love him. Even when I've been angry and didn't care or think I didn't care ...part of me still did in a weird strange way. I'll always love him. I though I lost him ( a few times) too and it hurt so much. Stark will find this funny, but my first serious crush was on a girl named Joanna Bok. I met her in grade school and knew her through to middle school and she even goes to my high school. Back in elementary school and part of middle school, I had the biggest crush on her, and like most I never told her either. It was kind of sad, but I've always been kind of a shy person, so I could never bring myself tell her. I'm becoming more open now, but now I'm more interested in someone else. And I've made it no small point to let them know.

Any way, my first crush was also in elementary school, and his name was Alex Brown. He was, of course, one of the more popular kids--you know the type. Athletic. Cute. Friendly. Knew everyone's name.

There was no hope for me, becuase I was the class wierdo. Had too much of a stigma against me for the other kids to even approach me, and too quiet to even defend myself. Let's just say that he was nice enough to smile at me every once in a while, and that was enough for an elementary school girl to start a crush.

Then for a long time I renounced the idea of ever having a boyfriend, determined that it was too inane to bother with while dealing with school work. But now...I guess I'm growing up a bit more, and I'm starting to see the error in those thoughts.

I've had a lot of crushes, but the most prominent (and long-lasting) started my sophomore year of high school. I had a pretty heady crush on a guy who was in drama with me , and that lasted for about a year and a half. (Amusingly enough, I didn't realise I had [i]had[/i] a crush on him until it was over. Then I was like, "Oh. I get it now. [i]That[/i]'s why!" And I felt pretty silly about the whole thing.

He asked another girl out a few months after I met him, which was a pretty painful (lol) experience for me. I kept entertaining this notion that he might like me (he teased me a lot, invited me to sit with him at lunch, etc.), and then he started talking about this other girl and what kind of jewelry to buy for her. Ouch. :whoops:

And I still had a crush on him for about a year after that. (It's not like I was [i]trying[/i] to, heh. Those things just sort of...happen.)[/font][/color]
