Dagger
Yes, I admit it, I'm a Gilmore Girls fan. I haven't actively watched the show for several seasons, but when I found out that
Jess would be making an appearance in tonight's episode,
I flipped out. So I guess I haven't gotten Gilmore Girls out of my system quite yet, haha. I haven't really been following the current Rory storyline (with Logan, DAR, Grandma Gilmore, etc.), but I've heard enough second-hand reports to have an idea of what's going on. Either way, though,
Jess' big return
was totally worth sitting down to watch. I was rooting for him and Logan to start actually fighting (c'mon, Logan would've had his *** handed to him)--but alas, I was disappointed. The next episode preview kind of had me rolling my eyes (time to manufacture another crisis!)... although I'll probably end up watching it anyway. I want Luke to turn out to be a murderer or a CIA spy or something. Now that would justify the melodramatic voice-over. Seriously, though, I'm putting my money on him having a kid from a former relationship. No real reason why--just a hunch. Anyway, do I need to go wallow in guilt for enjoying this show, or are there any other fans around here? (Come wallow with me!) ~Dagger~
SilentSecurity
I've watched a few episodes here and there. Nothing really exciting. When I come over to my parents house on Tuesday's my mother makes sure it's being recorded or she's plopped in front of the TV. I was surprised when I read this today
(USA TODAY) Television these days is loaded with sex, sex, sex ? double the number of sex scenes aired seven years ago, says a study out Wednesday. And the number of shows that include "safer sex" messages has leveled off, it said. There were nearly 3,800 scenes with sexual content spotted in more than 1,100 shows researchers studied, up from about 1,900 such scenes in 1998, the first year of the Kaiser Family Foundation survey. The examples of sexual content cited in the study ranged from discussions of sex on the WB's Gilmore Girls and Jack & Bobby to depictions of oral sex on NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and sexual intercourse on Fox's The O.C.
Notice that Gilmore Girls is on that short list in the last paragraph. That did indeed surprise me. In the end though it doesn't change my opinion of the show, which is a 5/10. Of course I'm a guy so shows such as this one don't really get me pumped. Kuroshin13
I used to watch it all the time in the earlier days, but now I've been watching it less and less. It just seemed to be getting very repetitive, and how some of the characters had changed. Rory and Paris are nothing like I remembered them being, and I miss all the jokes and comments when Luke and Loralai(sp?) were just friends. From what I have seen lately (which I admit is very little) their thalks have gotten a bit seriouser. I don't know, I miss the older episodes that were a little less soap opera-ish. Of course that's just my opinion.
Noodle
Ok, I admidt it, I watch that show RELIGOUSLY(mainly 'cause my name is Lorelai). Actually, I used to hate that show. Lorelai was annoying, Rory was annoying, Jess was hot, and everyone else was annoying. It was just a whole bunch of one-liners that took up an hour. One day, though, nothing was on, and I noticed that the pilot ep. was on. With nothing better to do, I watched it. The next day, noting was on, so I watched the 2nd ep. Soon, I was watching the show everyday, and then the new eps. on the WB. So yes, now I am a HUGE fan of that show...
I want Luke to turn out to be a murderer or a CIA spy or something. Guest Heero yuy
Honestly, I find it really annoying. Especially, how the mother and her daughter talk so fast, it reminds me of all the girls in my A.P. Psych class, when they talk about Leguna Beach.
