Submission Problem

[COLOR=DarkOliveGreen]Lately I?ve been seeing a lot of wallpapers being submitted two and three times. It didn?t make any sense, as you usually don?t see so many people doing it. Well when I went to submit 6 new wallpapers today I noticed that when I submitted them, even though it said they were approved and that I could go and look at them, when I actually tried they didn?t pull up.

I went back to myOtaku home page and at the bottom the number for how many I had up was showing that I had indeed added 6 more, but they still didn?t show up. It wasn?t until about 5 minutes later that I could see them. So I was wondering if the system was just lagging a bit in showing the new submissions.

I am assuming that the reason people are submitting them two and three times is that they encountered the same problem I did and thought that for whatever reason it wasn?t accepted into the system. Since I figure that you can get in trouble if you keep submitting the same background over and over I thought I would mention this as they may have actually thought it wasn?t accepted.

Especially since after a five minutes one showed up, and then after another minute the next one I submitted showed up and so on. So they could have submitted one three times, finally saw that the original submission was up and left not realizing that the other two times are going to show up as well.[/COLOR]

I have had a similar problem. When I submitted some fan art , it never said that it was uploaded. So I ended up submitting one twice. I thought maybe they would catch it at approval, but when it was on display-both were there. So now I have two pics exactly the same in my gallery. Maybe it's the volume coming in or something? :catgirl:

Justin is aware of the submission issues and they will be dealt with soon. If some of your work has shown up twice please use the report button on one of the doubles and report it as a repeat image. Thanks.

[COLOR=Indigo]I?ve wondered about this as well. I?ve also noticed that it is happening when you leave comments on wallpapers, articles, people?s myOtaku sites and such. You submit your comment and though it tells you it?s is displayed below, it isn?t. You close the window and re-open it but yet the comment still isn?t there.

It?s like SunfallE said, after a bit of time it finally does show up. It?s not a big deal, as I know my comment is there. But it did throw me off at first, as it didn?t use to do it. It doesn?t do it every time though. I think that out of about 10 comments I left today only 2 had that problem.[/COLOR]

There was also a problem when I wanted to try and open a comment tag to comment on someone's wallpaper. Instead of opening the comment window it must have somehow confused it witht he top command so it brought it to the top of the page. This must have been a recent development and I was just wondering if it was just happening to me..so it seems like I am not alone.[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]
