I believe in ghosts. I think I have seen one before. Where I used to live there was an old family crypt in a cemetary close to my house. It obviously has not been opened in a long time. Well anyway there is a door similar to a dungeon cell door in the front and a barred window in the back. I used to drive around cemetaries at night. One night I was driving by and stopped where the headlights were shining in the door. I saw a figure in the doorway inside the crypt. I went back in the daytime and there was no way in but the door. It was sealed and locked with an old rusted thru padlock. I checked the door and it didn't budge.

My second experience was I was standing with my friend (who was a witch)in an older graveyard. It was the poor graveyard and there were a lot of children that died of disease. Well there were no houses for miles and miles. It was in the middle of the day and I heard a little girl laughing behind me. I turned around and no one was there. I looked down and at my feet was a grave of a little girl. I told my friend that it was time to leave!

She was into black magic. She was there gathering gravedirt for curses. She also practiced voodoo, santeria(not so bad) and bukeria. She had an altar in her room and a picture of Satan above it. :animesigh

Around three years ago (here in Texas) I used to live in a small house which was previously owned by an old woman who at the moment was at the hospital (we lived in the house, but we didn't own the property, the old woman still did). Now, her daughter was threatening to sell the property since the woman was in the hospital, and , of course, the old woman died away with a form of grudge.

After this, my family and I noticed every now and then that a shadow would go across the living room, and there were no roads or anything outside the living room window. My mother then noticed that this happened everyday, and that in one room in our house the lightbulbs burnt out too frequently, and that the room never responded to changes in the thermostat.

However, we moved out of that house when my mother found a house we could finally settle into about 5 minutes away from the old house.

My old house is now currently owned by someone else who moved in sometime after we moved out (I don't really go and check the house out), and they don't seem to be budging. I guess they don't really care.

As for the Quote problem, you have to make sure when you submit your message that the quote "identifiers" aren't cut off. Try using "Preview Post" before actually posting just to double-check.

Also, check out my new entomology thread here in the Otaku Lounge.

I belive in ghosts. And as soon as I get enough money i'm going to join a paranormal investigation group.

One story I have is my friends house was haunted by a little boy who died of being wet and cold somehow. We would purposly close his garage door so it would be pitch dark. The little boy would appear and point to my firends washer and drier. One day my friend finaly worked up the courage and tossed the boy a dry towel. He dissappeard and the towel floated for a bit. We heard the whispered words "Thank You" and then 2 wet footprints remained on the floor for quite a few months.

Another thing is my gf is a walking ouiji board. I guess she could be called a clairvoyant since she communicates with ghosts. They will talk to her and she will write down what they say. They mostly want help to be freed so they can go to their eternal destiny. I know she is'nt insane since I have tried contacting them as well. As well as her firends. So she is'nt hearing voices in her head.

Are you sure the room wasn't just wired improperly? I know from experiance that lightbulbs will burn out very quickly if they get an improper amount of voltage. Could explain the theromstat thing, too. Just a thought.

As for me, I don't believe in ghosts. I've never had any personal experiances and any so-called evidence seems to fake and/or logically explicable.

It all just seems so fake.

It was a dark and stormy night. A young person sat at their computer in hopes of creating a thread in the Otaku Lounge... then the impossible happenend. They spelt 'stories' with a 'Y'....

All joking aside. My former hometown of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas had a widespread reputation of having many haunted buildings and homes. One of my favorite ones involved a young child telling his parent's of an old lady in black telling him stories from the late 1800's at bed time. If I could remember the details, I would retell it more accurately, but unfortunately, I moved from there some time ago and cannot recall it. It was quite beleivable though, seeing as how that same house where the family lived is still up and in use.

I'm a sucker for the supernatural and have an undying belief that ghosts are a real phenomenon. Although they are pretty scary on paper, I think it would be pretty awesome to contact some how or another. I just hope that it's not the kind that like, you know, hurl glass objects across rooms at you.
