Fyxe
I'm sure that at least a few of you have heard word of the Teen Titans movie, entitiled Teen Titans: Tokyo. I've known that there was going to be a movie for awhile, but wasn't aware of when it was coming out, or even what it was called or about. Tonight I did a little research, however. It looks like the movie will becoming out on DVD directly, not far after the end of season five is aired on Cartoon Network. I guess the movie is posing as episode number sixty-six. As for the plot, there hasn't been much information revealed about it. All I could find was that the Titans are taking a vacation in, well, Tokyo. It's a totally original story concerning the team, no villan we've seen before... nothing. It's a completely stand alone thing. Which makes everything even more mysterious of how it will go. Which makes me even more excited about it's release. Also, this whole thing brings up another very important subject concerning the Titans. Folks, I'm sure a lot of people are aware of this, but Cartoon Network is planning on canceling the Teen Titans for it's sixth season. Why they feel the need to, though, is beyond me. I heard ratings were shooting right up there. Now, nothing is completely confirmed yet, but, just in case.... HELP FIGHT! >> I know I'm sounding totally cheesey right now... but seriously... write those letters to Cartoon Network. My banner has a link to a site where you can print out a sheet to send CN, or just the address to write an independent letter. Either way.... Okay, anyway, so... if you have any comments on either or both subjects... tell the world, or at least post in this thread. As with the movie, if you have any new info, want to share your thoughts... anything, I'd be happy to hear it. And I hope you Teen Titans fans mail those letters. Heh. I am so a Teen Titans activist right now.
Dragonboym2
CN also cancled "Samurai Jack", "Justice Leauge" and "Megas XLR". Those shows were great, and doing very well too. Why did they cancel shows that were doing so well? "KAMEHAMEHA!" Dragonboym2
IceRose
Cartoon Network always cancels the good shows because the "parents" send evil notes on how the shows are corrupting their kids, it happenned to Toonami in the old days of Outlaw Star and Sailor Moon, then they transferred the shows to Adult Swim but that wasn't enough for the parents they had to go and complain about Adult Swim too, and it was only about japanese shows not about American shows. I hope they don't take Teen Titans out or else they will get it!
Doukeshi
They cancelled Megas?! Now way, aww man I really love that show. Isn't always the way that for no good reason networks just cancel shows. You see it all over the place with thigns like Farscape and Firefly. Good shows with great ratings that just get dropped like a hot stone. Why the hell would they cancel Samurai Jack?! That thing was gold, pure gold!
Eureka
Yeah, My sister's really into it, I'm going everywhere I can trying to help the cause. It's actually not a bad show. Lots of anime influence and pretty cute. ^_^ I feel like an activist myself. lol.
Fyxe
Yeah, the whole thing with parents sending their little evil notes... wouldn't networks just assume to ignore those letters after awhile? Because they take away their popularity. *Shakes her head* Yeah, I loved Samurai Jack, and then one day, it just didn't come back on. That was definitely a sad day. But, honestly, why do a lot of people blame the things their kids are watching for their behavior? Most kids are smart enough to know that they shouldn't re-create what they see on TV... >> Or, at least, all the kids I know. But, Cartoon Network will be hearing a lot of crap from me, that's for sure.
