Gravity

A thought occured to me the other day. Before I tell you what it was, I just want to say that I dont think about this stuff all the time, but occasionally it just 'occurs' to me, cos I am doing physics at degree level.
I was thinking about antimatter, which apparently goes the time in the opposite direction, and I thought- how does gravity affect antimatter? After A lot of thought I realised that it is affected in exactly the same way as us. I will explain- If you are left a mile above the earth to fall (unlucky guy) and someone measures the speed you go down at, you see a constant increase in speed, until the big moment where you cease to be a person as such. In this time, you go from a LOWER speed to a HIGHER speed, downwards, so you are accelerating downwards (if youre lost, give up now). If you look at this in reverse, you start at a high speed and slow down, but UPWARDS, so you still accelerate down. There you go. If you move backwards through time, gravity affects you as if you went forward. Anyone who understands this, thank god youre out there.

i understand this. i love science and we are studying matter this year. it sounds interesting, in fact, like it would work if you were to build some sort of machine to send someone down, from a high speed to a lower speed. which i think would be hard, because you have to start at a low speed...

Ive thought hard about this and i reckon that my rule of gravity working in forwards and reverse also applies to any force in general. When i say 'my rule' I do not actually claim to be the first to think of it, i just claim to have thought of it. Would you like a disclaimer with that?

You say that gravity effects antimatter as it does us.. So if if were to drop to earth it woul increase in speed at a constant...right!? I undertand your theory..but you most refresh my memory..what exactly is antimatter...(its been a while and I forgot about it...SORRY)

OK Ill explain the concept of what im saying. Anti matter is the opposite of matter. If you mix equal amounts of matter and antimatter, they are converted to energy. It is believed that antimatter moves through time in the reverse way that we do, ie from future to past. Antimatter is acted on by gravity in the same way as us- we know that anyway. What im saying is i think that if youlooked at antimatter in the same time direction that it goes through (future to past) then gravity acts in the same way, and in the same direction. In other words, gravity is an attraction force even if you look at it backwards. Confused?

Unfortunately you are wrong. antimatter has been proven as has the idea that when combined with matter the two annhialate.
The reason you probably didnt know is that you dont learn anything new in school or college- heres an idea of how old the stuff you learn is- (in science anyway)

high school- 400-1000 years (except for values, such as speed of light)
college- 100-400 years
University first year- 50-150 years

PS college in england is the stage between high school and uni, not another place where we do degrees, for anyone who didnt know. we finish school at 16
