thank you for saying so but the side effect of this sensitivity is the horrible fear of watching another anime series ever

Both, I think. I know a guy that cried after FFX (I cried too, but then again, I'm a girl...I guess we're more emotional). But it's kind of endearing in a way, knowing that you aren't afraid to show that side of you. I cry during movies and shows A LOT (especially Buffy THe Vampire Slayer and Angel...or Trigun, that show really got me teary).

I agree with you,, it's nice to know that some guys actually cry, well, for me it's really nice to show your true feelings,, even though it was only for an anime,, anyway,, nice one!!! :catgirl: :catgirl:

I never thought that I will find someone who is also a Chobits Fanatic!!! Let me ask you a Question??? do you like the plot of the story?? I just love the two main characters,, especially when Hideki 1st saw Chii on a dumpster,, giggle giggle giggle!!! :animesmil :animesmil by the way,, will you be my friend??? PM me please!!!!!

Whoa, easy on the punctuation. There's a shortage of exclamation points in the world--don't use more than your fair share. ;)

This isn't a thread about Chobits, this is a thread about crying during anime. If you'd like to talk about Chobits, please do so in the Chobits thread. If you'd like to address a specific member, please do so through the PM system.

And please calm down a little. I'm ready to switch to decaf just reading your posts. -Lore

Watch Grave of the Fireflies. It's about World War II from the perspective of a Japanese boy. It's deeply emotional and touching.
Whether or not you're a boy or girl, f you don't cry to this anime, you don't have a soul.

Yes, I saw it.
Yes, I cried.
Yes, I'm a guy.
No, I don't regret it.

I myself want a sensitive man who isn't afraid to cry. It shows you aren't a cold dried up person. It shows you are human. We all have feelings and you shouldn't be afraid to cry. It's quite admirable for you to be brave enough to cry.So yeah it's ok.

I have no idea why I have such a hard time crying even when I want to but when I saw
the one guy from Fullmetal Alchemist with the daughter who's name scapes me right now die, I cried. I also cried when Nina was transformed then pulversied.
FullMetal Alchemist really pulls no punches. I only saw half of Grave of the Fireflies but it was pretty sad.

The show's that got me were Shaman king the time of it were Yoh
Dies and all of his friends
kept fighting. Or the episode of one piece were Luffy puts his hat on Nami and goes to fight Arlong that gets me every time. Also And I know this is not anime but the last episode of MASH. ... Now I am sad

I think the question is more about crying and less about anime, but that's just me.

Long story short, if two guys are in the room together, no it is not ok to cry - over a show at least. The presence of the other guy should be enough incentive to not cry. "Dude, are you crying." "Nope, are you? OMG, you totally are!" And from there, the moment the show created should be lost by then, and crying doesn't become a possibility.

Of course, if you are alone, cry away. ^^
sensitive guys are hot.
Then I must be the sexiest man alive XD

I rmrmbered a moment from X the Movie which made me want to cry.
At the very end when Kamui hold Fuma's head and cries.
I thought it was sad, but the moment was sorta ruined by my cousin and bro who were laughing their brains out :animeangr

i tell ya what, i got a little teary eyed when
hughes dies in fma, hew was one of the one of the best characters in the show, and even at the funeral, when alicia started yelling at the grave, and he died
, and jus think about whats ganna happen when ed and al find out

Do not post spoilers (things that give away plot events) without using spoiler tags. If you don't know how, read the STICKY POST at the top of the anime forum.

Please read our Rules before you continue posting. Your post quality is hard to read, and that takes away from the discussion in this thread. Thanks. -Sara

For the love of god, man! Spoiler tags! But yeah, that was the scene I meant.
Why are they burrying daddy? He''s got a lot of work to do! He's gotta get up! Mommy, why won't daddy wake up?
My god I think I'm gunna cry just thinking about it!

It's great that you know how to use spoiler tags. But when you quote someone who DOESN'T use them, it would be terrific if you could add them in the quoted portion of your post. It means less for for me. Thanks! -Sara

Heh..... I don't really have an opinion about guys getting sensitive or not. That's on them. Instead of crying I tend to get irritated. (in my language... pissed off) So would that be considered sensitive?

In Full Metal Alchemist.... I found myself getting the urge to throw something across the room in the episode where they 1st showed the chimera and such.

It really depends for me. Sometimes I'll cry, sometimes it will just piss me off as Sting put it. Though other times, I find myself busting into mechanical laughter. It's kinda scary cause it's at parts where people are like getting massacred. I guess it depends on the situations in the anime, as well as the characters. Like at the end of Berserk, I was about ready to get wild and beat some ***, though it made me sad and sick too.

But I don't think there is anything wrong with crying period, it is a good release of emotion. I am very emotional areound people that are close to me, and I would cry in a movie or something. A guy that can cry openly is just more comfortable with himself in my eyes. He doesn't have to put on a masculine front.

I agree with the statement made by both Hug Monster and passionate slay said about that episode of Full Metal Alchemist. Every time it comes on t.v I cant watch it because I'll start to cry, it was a real shocker the first time I saw it..... :animecry:

I think it's sweet, that some guys can show emotion that is meant to be shown and i find that attractive. I don't think there's anything wrong with crying during anime or other stuff. Like at the end of The Titanic got to me. Animatrax III also got to me. I'm a girl so don't confuse me :shifty:
