sbsp13668
I don't know I've seen the Ranma1/2 mangas but I haven't ever read them but Escaflowne I loved it! Escaflowne The Movie is about a girl who wants to disappear from Earth but is granted her wish but she's put in a different world called Gaea (or Gaia I'm not entirely sure!) She's found in a giant suit of armor called Escaflowne and all the people of Gaea think she's "the wing goddess". The girl is totally lost and has no idea what's going on but apparently there's a great war going on between 2 brothers (Van Fanel and Folken Fanel). The girl becomes friends with Van (the good brother) and a catgirl named Merle and basically the girl is the wing goddess and has a lot to in this war and has to change the fate of Gaea! Woo! That's all I can say without spoiling it! ^.^ :catgirl: It's really cool though and if you're wondering about where my other favourite character comes in . . . well he works for the bad guy Folken! LOL! ^.~ :catgirl:

sbsp13668
Yeah! The music is sooo good! I only have the movie but I want the soundtrack so badly! ^.~ I researched a tonne on Escaflowne and stuff like that so I'm pretty sure the liondude's name is Jajuka! Roar! Teehee! :catgirl: ---- LOL! Don't worry about it there's still more to the movie! :catgirl: I think the movie is kind of like a different version of the series so I don't think the characters are reincarnated and yeah I guess you're right that was kind of the catch to having such an awesome machine thingy! :animesmil :animeswea
Dagger
Okay, guys, I added spoiler tags to the post in question (and deleted the subsequent posts that dealt solely with the tag issue, as they were off-topic). In the future, please click the "report bad post" button (it's the exclamation point) if you want a mod or admin to be aware that a post lacks spoiler tags. Thanks. :) ~Dagger~
Hittokiri Zero
The Escaflowne movie followed a different storyline from that of the animated T.V. series. While the opening scene blew me away everything seemed a little to condensed for my liking. The Guymeloth battles were well done, but as is the case with many anime movies out there the ending was lacking in some regards. Now to be honest I saw this movie long ago that I have forgotten what the actual ending was like, but I do recall being dissapointed with the ending confrontation between Van and his brother ^_^'';. The relationship between Van and Hitomi was a nice twist on what we saw in the T.V. series though.

Delta
After seeing it for the second time, I finally, firmly believe them fans who say that the movie's animation was waaay better than the series'. I loved the dark, saturated colors they used throughout the movie and the character designs were out of this world! Millerna's better off as a redhead, IMO. As for the ending, it's good that they found a solution for the characters' dilemmas (well, most of them), even if it's a solution many fans didn't approve of. I loved Dilandau's ending but I just don't know about the whole
Hitomi flies off and Gaia evanesces
-thing. One thing though: who was the real Wing Goddess? Many say it was
Hitomi
, but I saw a site (Tsubasa no Kami, I think) that suggested the possibility of
Sora
as the real thing. Hrmh...
