"The foam was thick that morning, unlike I had ever seen, abnormally so actually. The paddles wouldn't even go throught he water underneath. It shocked me becasue I have been sailing for years, ever since I was 3 with my father, and I have never seen something like that. It was like the water didn't want me to sail that day, so I docked here in Torgas and well, I've been waiting ever since then. I hear that there's a ship around here that can cut throught this mess and get me to the next port but finding it is the thing.I hear it'sa deadly looking thing, all black and red, I hear it needs work done as well, nothing I cant handle I'm sure. But as I stated, it's finding the bloody thing thats my problem...so here I am spreding around the rumor of this ship and I need it my self, gods know somebody else has gotten to it by now, knowing my luck with this sorta thing. Then again I could be lucky and just stumble on it. I'm clumsy that way as well."
The bar tender looked at her and shook his head.
"You know girlie, you sure don't know the first thing about this port do you?"
"No, never been here, why?"
"You see that mound of dirt and debris there?"
"Yeah, it was there when I got in here."
"Yup, thats your ship kid."
"Your shitting me...that's the Sea Scareb? That's the ship thats said to be able to sail through anything?"
"Yep, that be here girilie, looks like you have your work cut out for you."
"Sure does...lucky for me, this trip I'm going on is to find the largest known treasure in the world."
The bar tender lookedat her and scoffed.
"You mean Black Jack's? That's just a tale thats told to make kids want to leave home."
"What if I told you I've seen it?"
"You? You've seen Black Jakc's gold?"
"Not just gold old man, diamonds and jewles like you'lll never believe. And only those who know where it is can find it."
"And you girlie, you know where it is?"
"Not right off hand, but you see this?"
She held up a golden locket around her neck, this here holds the location to the Isalnd of the Damned, the island where Black Jack hid all his treasure. My father, you may have heard of him, Fargo?"
"You mean your Fargo Kreel's daughter?"
"That be right old man. I need a crew and a ship, that ship. It's gonna take a while for me to fix her up but I can do it, and after taht I'm sailing outta here with agood crew and we're going to the Isle of the Damned to get that treasure."
"And who do you think will side with a crazy young girl like you?"
"You never know, now do you?"
she downed her drink and walked away smiling.

8 Years later....

Standing beside the giant scarlet ship Lieanda felt a deep sense of pride take over her heart. She had fixed the Sea Scareb in only 8 years by her-self. She could remember the day she come into this little port, at only 12, now at 20 she had fille dout and beciome a true lady of the sea. Her skin bronzed and her hands weathered she took a deep breath and pulled her shirtup and tied it around her waist to cool off. She was done with the first task, fixing the ship. Now for the harder part...finding a crew that would believe her ot want to get off this rock so damn bad they'd go with anyone. Her smile couldn't be doused even by the thought of going on her own but she knew that someone had to have as much passion for sailing s she did. She grabbed her fliers and changed shirts, she was only staying another day and then in the morning she was off. She posted them everywhere she was allowed and then went to the bar to wait. The old man looked up and her and smiled, he had grown to be a father figure to her over the corse of the 8 years.
"Finally got it doen eh Lie?"
"Yes'sir I did! And she looks great!"
"You bet, you get those fliers out as well?"
"Just put out the last one. Now we wait."
"Yup, we wait."
She took the drink he handed her and took and sip of the foam on top and sighed. Her heart was tight and her hands sweating, she was nervous to see the kinds of people that would show up to be in her group...only time would tell. She sat and waited patiently as more and more sailos came and went. She sipped the drink slowly and sighed. The day was leaving quickly and still no one had showed.
"How long you plan on waiting Lei?"
"Not much longer...if no one shows with in the next hour or so I'm gone and going on my own."
"That'd be to dangerous."
"And you know me."
"Aye, that I do. Give it some time, I'm sure you'll have some one Lei."
"By the powers I hope your right."
She sighed agian and down the rest of the drinka nd smiled as he gave her her second one of the day.

Azuroth walked through the dull little town he was lead to in his hunt for the people that ruined his life for their own greed, his hood was drawn over his head. As he made his way through the town he noticed a flyer that was placed over most of the twon, he tore one off a near by building and read the flyer.

"Need a crew for The Sea Scareb. Hmmm, I wonder if the owner of this ship is going after something worth while." Azuroth read the paper a little bit more and found the person who owned the ship was in the near by pub, he smiled under his hood and crumped up the paper as he walked to the pub. He walked in and saw an open chair next to a young women, he sat down and ordered a drink. He pulled the crumpeled flyer out and handed it to the bartender.

"Where can I find this captain for the Sea Scareb?"

"I'm the Captain." The women next to Azuroth spoke, he turned his body slightly so he could see her with his eyes through the hood. She was young in his eyes, younger then he would think a Captain could be, but she seemed to have a great amount of confidence in her eyes. He smiled lightly.

"So your the Captain of the Sea Scareb, Interesting. I'd like to know what you need a crew for." The women looked at him like he was asking an idiotic question.

"To help me work my ship, it's hard for just one person." Azuroth rolled his eyes.

"You know what I meant." She smiled lightly and took a sip from her drink.

"I'm going after something that will make any crew members rich beyond your imagination." Azuroth smiled under his hood, he dropped his hood and held out his left hand. The chain now exposed.

"Names Azuroth, and you got yourself a crew member." She shook his hand and he put his hood back on his head and went back to his drink.

Jem dealt impatiently with her last customer of the day, a glance outside told her that the time was growing near, she might as well have missed her chance to get off this hunk of rock. One of those fliers was posted in the window, and through the light the pirate would be able to read it backwards. Her fingers drummed silently on the countertop in the rhythm of an old sea chantey she was taught by the first pirate captain she had ever sailed under. "Yessir, the price has not changed from yesterday, nor the day before. One of the finest compasses this side of the seas."

"It still seems a bit off for such a claim?I don't like being scammed," the man said, carefully examining the carvings and mechanics of the compass for the 75th time this week alone.
"And I do not like to be cheated out of a deal. If you would like me to play around a tad to make you feel better, then so be it. I had intended to be closed today, and you time grows short as my patience grows thin. This is the last time I offer this price to you, take it or leave it."

The woman snapped her head to look at another person eying things a bit too carefully for comfort. Another inspector? Great. The last thing she needed was the Navy or port officials poking their nose in her business at a time like this. She even cancelled a business meeting set for this evening to be able to take advantage of the opportunity that presented itself. Jem longed to be out at sea once more.

"You drive a hard bargain Miss Clarice. I yield to your resolve." A bag of coins was set on the counter, and the pirate put on as much of a smile as she could manage. "Pleasure doing business with you, have a fair evening" she said pleasantly as any true shopkeeper would as the two men left. She closed up, and hurried to change into something a little more suited for traveling over seas.

-----------

Walking into the bar, she immediately spotted the girl who had posted the flyer in her shop earlier that day about help with a ship. Good, she didn't leave yet. She saluted to the captain and the man she was talking to in a manner traditional to some of the pirates she formally sailed with. "Clarice Minerva, at your service. Reporting for crew duty if help is still wanted."

Ron was running his ususal rounds about the dock, scoping for either possible targets or clients. He was a master theif and would take on any challenge presented. Despite his enthusiasim for his job, every day he had to stay on this island he had to see that place and remember what they did and it made him physically ill. He wanted to escape more than anything, there was nothing left for him here. He walked along the port side looking to all the posters set along the wall and doors to the port side businesses. As he walked a wanted sign caught his eye, he stopped and approached it slowly. He plucked it off the wall and looked it over. It was like a godsend, someone needed a crew for a ship to get out fo this god forsaken place. The tavern wasn't far from here, he could be there in only a little bit of time. He had to take this chance to finally leave this place. He ran the whole way to the tavern and stopped outside, the flyer still in hand. He opend the door and walked in. The place was quiet and simple, he regulared it. He looked out front and started to realize. The ship out front was a reck when he first came here, but now it looked like new. He had only ever seen one person work on it, it was unbelieveable to think that one persone fixed this ship, and that person was a woman no less. Could this be the ship he was destined to escape on. He walked in the bar and took his usual seat on the far end of the bar. He orderd a shot of whiskey and set the flyer on the bar. When the bartender returned he pushed it forward "You know who's been putting these out?" The bartender took only the briefest look "Oh yeah, she's over there." Well, it was true. That was the same girl he had seen fixing that ship two years ago. He downed his shot and walked over to her "So your looking for a crew to help you get that ship sailing." She glanced up to him "Yep, that'd be me." Ron nodded "I want in." She looked to him "Do you know what your in for?" He looked to her "I don't care. I just want off this rock." She shrugged "Alrgiht, welcome aboard. The names Lieanda Kreel." Ron shook her hand "The names Rondo Stellmen, but people call me Ron." She nodded and he stepped out front of the bar and gazed on at the ship. For this was the ship that would finally set him free.

As Dante moved from roof to roof, a piece a paper floated toward him. He reached out and grabbed it. He opened it up and read it.
"A crew huh....? Sounds like fun."
He moved to the roof of the tavern. As he looked down he saw them. He let out a low growl and walked off the roof. He slowly fell before them.
"A crew is it?"
"What of it?" She proclaimed.
"Then I shall join. You may need the help. I expect you to trust me, as your father did mine."
"Wha--"
"I am Dante Ombra Diavolo. Son of Christoph Morte Diavolo."
"You..."
"Now I shall join you..."

Lieanda looked at them and nodded.
"If this is everybody, lets go.I'll show you wich dock to go to and then you'll meet me there in the morning."
"Why can we not leave tonight?"
"Because, the water is choppy byond all reasoning tonight and it's suicide for even the best of sailors to try it. Thats why. If you want you can bunk here and get your stuff ready for the morning. If you have other things to do at your home I suggest you take care of them before you leave for we aren't comong back."
They all nodded and looked at one another, Lie looked at them and blinked.
"By the way, my name is Lieanda, you may call me Lie or captin, which ever you prefer."
They all nodded, she lokoed at Dante.
"And no more sneak ups, that was creepy."
She walked away, feeling alittle better knowing that she had help going with her.

Sano stood staring at the Sea Scarab. It was a good boat. Proabaly would have kept it for his own if he was still out at sea and had met it there. A young woman came up beside him.

"you like the boat?"

"Yes mam. Sure did a nice job on it"

"How do you know I am the captain?"

"Otherwise you wouldn't be asking me now would you?" He gave her a smile

"Guess not." She let out a small laugh. "Guess not"

"Well tkae care" He turned around, the many guns and blades clinking inside his jacket.

"May I ask what you have in there?'

Sano turned around and opened one side. "Just a little bit of firepower"

"i don't knwo if you have seen the fliers. But I am looking for a crew. i would.."

"I'd be pleased to join your crew, mam. To serve on a nice boat like this one here and under such a fine captain." He made a small bow and kissed her hand then gave a smile. "Can't think of anything better" He smiled as he walked off.

Jem smiled after the captain turned away from those that still stood by the bar. The waters indeed were choppy, she had noticed on the way there. Her gut was telling her that her impression of the woman Lie was correct. 'It'll be a pleasure to sail under this captain,' she thought to herself as she walked along the docks. The Sea Scarab really was a gem of a vessel. 'I bet it would put the old Obsidian to shame, bless its rest.'

Arriving 'home' she pulled out her key to unlock the door. It was already open. "Knock knock," she called out irritated that she was being disturbed this time of night. "Aye, greetings Roally. Are you going to invite me in for a night cap?"

"There's no need to invite you, I can see you've found my best on your own. Did word not reach of my cancellation Dave?" She sighed, pouring herself a drink as well. "Anyway, lets get down to business. I'm heading back out tomorrow, and the authorities have been tailing me again."

The two pulled up chairs around the table with a deck of cards, some gold coins, and a few other players. "You never could resist the ocean, Jem."
"It's only been my home as far back as I can remember. Now hurry up and deal."
"Alright you little runt?no mercy this game," Dave grinned under the rim on his hat.

The game went on for a few hours, catching up on the latest news and trader info.
"A dead even heat again, I believe I?m starting to best you at your own game."
"I know other gambling games I'll teach you next we meet. If you're ready to loose some treasure that is." They laughed as they finished off the last drinks of the evening and Jem escorted her adopted older brother out. "Fair sailing little runt," he finished. "Aye, the same to you," she said.

Azuroth went back to the bar and sat down on the bar stool, drinking his whiskey. He tapped his fingers on the table as he thought of what to do about the lie of one of those people being here.

"I'll get that liar, just like the people who ruined..." He trailed off as he caught sight of an old Mercenry he knew. Azuroth smiled sinisterly under his hood.

"Mabye I won't have to kill that source after all." Azuroth said as he stood up and approached the merc, some chain dropped from under his cloak. Azuroth came up behind the man and quickly threw it around the mans neck, the man grabbed it out of reflex and gashed open his hands.

"What is this? Whats going on?" The man said frantically, Azuroth grabbed the end of the chain with his left hand and removed his hood.

"Remember me?" The mans eyes were open wide with disbelief and fear.

"No your dead! You can't be alive, you should be dead!" Azuroth growled in the mans ear.

"I'm not dead. And I'm coming for all of you, I've gotten quite a few of you."

"Your the one that mutalated the theif from last week, and the Pirate the same week. Your killing us off one by one." Azuroth smiled again.

"Yes, and your next." Azuroth quickly yanked the chain and severed the mans head, Azuroth retracted the chain into his body with a grunt. He went back to his bar stool and drank his whiskey like nothing had happened.

Ron nodded as the Lie left the bar and he took back his usual place, decided it best to just hang around the bar for the night. He saw one of the other guys was still hanging around, didn't look like a very socialable person, so he decided it best to keep to himself til the morning. He called for another shot and the bar keep came to him with the bottle and poured a fresh one "Gonna drowned yourself again there son?" Ron took the shot and wiped his mouth "You should just leave teh bottle. I plan to stay the night." The barkeep shrugged "Have it your way son." Ron grabbed the bottle by the neck and took a deep swig. Ron leaned back and proped his stool against the corner of the wall. He looked to the ceiling of the bar and took another chug of the bottle and set the stool back down and laid his head on the bar.

Kyle walked through the docks, mumbling to himself.

"ARe you ok? You seem to have something on your mind."A yourng woman asked, standing behind him.

"Forgive me. I am sorry to have worried you." Kyle gave the woman a small bow then went on his way, leaving the woman with a confused look on her face.

Momenmts later he walked past a billboard and saw a sigh for a crew. He spat on the gruond and cursed under his breath.

"Why would someone ask for a crew that way? It seems pointless. Seems you would only get the idiots." He sighed and continued on his way.

"Do you not think that that was a little uncalled for?" A womans voice rang out behind Alex. He slowly turned around and saw the woman from before.

"Why would things be uncalled for?" Alex asked, eyebrow raised.

"Because, it is not nice to talk about someone's ship in front of them." The woman smiled, then turned around. "And to think, I was going to ask you if you would like to be on my ship."

"I do not like to sail." He bowed to her agian and continued to a local pub. All while he was in there, he kept seeing the flyer pop up into his head. He finally sighed to himslef and left the pub and headed twards the docks.

"Miss, I would like it very much if you would let me onto your ship." He bowed even lower then he had before and closed his eyes.

"Well, this change of heart is sweet. My name is Captian, or Lie. Welcome to the Sea Scarab." She smiled and shook his hand. "Be here in the morning, we set sail." He noddoed to her and sighed to himself once agian.

I hate sailing, why did I do this?" He slowly began walking twards his small home.

About 17 shots later and 2 hours, Ron was finally starting to suffer the effects of his ill gotten habits. He found he could barely remember why he was even at the bar, and he was begining to get a little anxious. After half an hour of rambling and stumbling around he passed out on the bar and spent the night like that. he rose in the morning with a hang-over that could of killed a whale and a shirt drenched in a mix of beer and drool. He looked around the bar and quickly rememberd what he was doing there. In a panic he ran out front, worried they mgiht have left without him. He ran out front and saw eveyone already gatherd, captain looked to him "Nice of you to join us." He smiled and apologized and tried to explain what happend, but he realized no matter how you try to say it, it still dosen't sound good. So he apologized and readied himself, to day was the day he would get to take to the seas and leave this place behind.

Jem woke up a bit later than she had planned to. 'Damn, we must have really went to town on the drinks last night. Strange.' She didn't know whether to take it a good omen or bad. Probably bad, considering her luck recently. Everything would change today though, out on the salty seas once more. Pulling together her things for travel rather nimbly, the pirate didn?t bother locking the door behind her as she left. It wasn't worth the trouble. Nothing of personal value stayed, and she doubted ever to return to this chunk of rock.

Racing to the docks and the Sea Scarab, she almost tripped headlong into a wall and so decided to walk the rest of the way. It would keep her rapier from creating a nasty bruise on her leg as well. Reaching the group, she bowed her head to the captain slightly saying, "Sorry I'm late Capt'n. Had some unexpected company last night and must have drank a bit more than I thought." Good thing they didn't set sail yet. Jem took the time to look others who were gathered around. Something was giving her stomach a bad feeling, and it wasn't the drinks. 'Hopefully none will catch on about my real identity as Jem Roally and not Clarice Minerva, at least for the time being.'

Sano eyed the late girl. He knew her from some where but couldn't but his finger on it. He held his hand out to the girl and did a bow and kissed it. "Name's Sano. The Dark wolf is at your service" He watched her eyes grow wide with surprise. He smiled on the inside to himself. So she is a pirate or a smuggler. Or maybe both He straightened up like he didn't notice anything. He would have fun on this little trip

He moved quietly from roof to roof. He stopped on one of the roofs over looking someone who was surrounded by a few men. He could hear them...
"Come on girly... I won't be too hard on you..."
Then men laughed. Then she screamed as the man reached out to touch her. Dante dropped off the roof and landed in between them. He lighty growled.
"Leave her alone...."
"Looky here boys... A hero."
They all laughed. Dante tilted his head slightly.
"Get him."
The men charged toward Dante. He smiled as he seemed to dissapear. He reappeared on the other side of the group his fists tight. As he relaxed the men dropped. Everyone unconscious. The girl ran up to Dante.
"Thank you Dante..."
"Go home beautiful..."
"Yes sir..."
She quickly ran home with a big smile on her face. He shook his head, jumped onto the roof and left.

Azuroth finished off his 5th drink and wasn't feeling a thing, he saw one of the other crew members gulping down shot after shot. He shook his head under his hood.

"Drinking that fast is gonna kill him someday." He took another shot and stood up from his stool. He cracked his knuckles and stretched a little.

" I need a bed." Azuroth then turned to the stairs leading to the upper level where the rooms were. He woke the next morning wondering where he was, his air shooting in random directions with sleep still in his eyes. He rubbed his eyes and scratched his head, he suddenly felt something cut him and pulled his arm away quickly.

"Ow." He saw that a piece of his chain and scratched him, a drop of blood was still on the edge.

"Son of a bitch, One of these dats I won't need this thing and I can get it removed." He stood up from his bed and put his short back on and fastened the cloak over his body. Bringing the hood over his head before he left, he was one of the first to make it to the docks. Save for the Captain and the man known as Sano, Azuroth just rolled his shoulders until he heard a satisfying pop.

The others came one by one, the man with the drinking habit showed up with a soiled shirt and the merchant was being greeted by Sano. Azuroth kept to himself and waited for Lie to let them know when they were leaving.

Trying to recover from her shock, Jem mustered up a friendly smile. 'Aye, an ill omen indeed?' "Clarice Minerva. Pleasure to make your acquaintance sir," she said with a small curtsey.

She had a right to be nervous; the girl wasn't exactly retired from the business. It took everything she had to keep her wits about her. Luckily it would seem to her that he had taken no notice of her minor slip. Jem almost sighed in relief. Perhaps I'll be safe after all. Whatever the outcome, this venture promises to be interesting to say the least.'

Alex walk up to the group and smiled, for some reason he felt he cound trust some of these people.

"So, you must be a part of the crew. My name is Sano, the Dark Wolf." He smiled and held his hand out to Alex.

"Alex, and I know who you are. A ruthless priate that only works for money." Alex shook the mans hand and smiled.

"And you would be the body guard that I have heard about. Seems like I never attack the ship that you are on. Why is that?" Sano eyed the man then looked out to the sea.

"Your guess is as good as mine. I would guess that namy pirates wish not to meet me." Alex said, looking at the sea as well.

"So, now the two on the other end of the stick shall work together to survive." Sano said with a smile.

"Seems that way, a deadly pirate, and a loner bodyguard, a perfect combination." Alex smiled as well. He had a feeling of trust in his soul, 'something in this man is telling me to trust him', he thought to himself.

"Aye, damn right some of us would not want to cross yer path?" It wasn't meant to be heard, she herself could not be certain it was voiced aloud or just a thought. Nonetheless Jem could feel a pair of eyes buring into her turned back. She wanted to turn and snap, but resisted the urge as part of last night's conversation came back to distract her.

Dave: *shuffling cards* "You've started to make a name for yourself, runt."
Jem: "I have? I'm sorry to say I haven't heard the news."
Dave: *dealing* "Aye. It isn't just your name; there are those that will know you by sight."

Silently, she wondered what some of the others did for a living. It seemed to be quiet the colorful crew Captain had rounded up. She glanced over her shoulder at the guy who arrived shortly before she did, curiously noting the soiled shirt. 'What would cause a man to drink that severely?' Of course there were infinite possibilities. Just something the pitate had pondered briefly.

Lie streched as she emerged from her quarters to see everyone, or almost everyone on the ship already and the sun finally getting into the sky.
"Well looks like I slept in, everyone here?"
She looked around, the creey dude wasn't here yet and it seemed as everyone else was.
"Oh, well looks like enough are, I suppose if people didn't want to be here they shouldn't have asked or offered their services."
she turned and saw Dante looking at her coldy.
"Oh, I suppose I was wrong. Well then since we're all here I suggest you all pull out the sails and get this thing moving unless you wish to stay here. Clarice I'll put you at the helm for now, you seem to know navigation pretty well. Alxe, Sano help me get the main sails out and full, we need to get out of here and as fast as possible. I have a feeling if we don't we're to miss a good wind."
She worked withthem till they were out on the open water and sighed as the sea spray filtered across her face. This was what she missed the most.
"Alrighty everyone, there's grub int eh mess hall to the left of the captins quarters, help yourself."
they seemed to scatter and like a shot they were all in the mess hall save for Dante and Sano. She looked at both and felt a tension rise and she broke it by motioning for Sano to go ahead and eat. He nodded and did so. She jumped a rope and swung down to stand beside Dante.
"So, what exactly are you leaving behind? Or what are you moving twards? I mean what brought you to sail away fromthat place?"

Ron was past out on the floor and in this moment he was dreaming. He saw the past and it was a bitter sweet thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hey rich kid, what are doing here?" Ron turned and saw a scruff looking girl with blonde hair and green eyes. She had a smug and irratated look on her face. She had just come to his rescue, she saved him from a group thugs patroling the streets. He was embarassed taht she had to save him, but he couldn't take his eyes off her, she was stunning to him. He rose to his feet and dusted himself off and looked to her "Hi... uhhh.... My name is Rondo. You can call me Ron." She just huffed and turned away. She walked away and he started to follow her, it was dark and he had no idea where she was going, but he knew he had to follow her. After only ten minutes she spun around "What the hell do you want, rich boy!" Ron jumped at this for a moment. He thought for teh words for a moment "Um... I just wanted to talk with you." She just looked at him with the same scuff look "Why don't you go off with your rich friends." And as she left he spoke "I actually don't have any friends. But Id like you to be my friend." SHe stopped and walked up to him in a march like she might hit him. He braced himself for the hit, then he heard her stop "My name is Tina." He opened his eyes and laughed "Well, it's nice to meet you Tina." He reached out to shake her hand. SHe simply turned and left. She walked ot the end of the alley, then looked back "What are you doing Rich boy? Get up here now." His eyes went wide "Uhh... Yes ma'am." he ran up to her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He opened his eyes as he lay on the floor, tears welling up in his eyes. He past out again and slept on the bar floor that night.

Azuroth walked into the mess room, he was one of the last to get in and grab a plate. the others sat together and conversed amongst eachother. Azuroth sat by himself, not trusting anyone one he has just meet. He ate his food in solitude, when it came to the meat he held out his left arm and opened his hand, some of the daggertail pushed out from under his skin and the exsposed daggertail was turning slowly.

About 12 inches of the chain hung limply from his open hand, swinging lightly. Azuroth flicked his wrist and the chain stiffined, he slashed the meat into small pieces and withdrew the chain back into his body. He grunted again but quickly went back to his meal, after a moment or so he became aware that someone had decided to sit next to him.

"Hey, names Sano. Yours." Sano said cheerfully.

"Get away from me." Sano looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"Excuse me?" Azuroth turned his head slightly, the opening of the hood now slightly visable to Sano.

"I said get away from me. I don't like Pirates." Sano chuckled.

"And what makes you think I'm a pirate?" Azuroth set his fork down on his plate.

"By the way you move, the way you talk, behave, act. I can go on with the ways." Sano grinned.

"And you saw all this just by looking at me for a few moments?"

"Yes, yes I did." Sano nodded his head and scratched his chin.

"So care to say why you don't like pirates?" Azuroth turned so a little bit of the opening of his hood was visable again.

"Becasue you are all greedy. And I have faced what happens when you get in the way of a pirates greed. Now leave me alone." Azuroth went back to his food.

After eating, Jem had wanted to get out of the mess hall as quickly and quietly as possible. It took awhile to find a good open window however. 'I really must pick my seating arrangements more carefully?Ha. Finally,' she thought. In order to take full advantage of the moment, she had to pass by the man sitting by himself away from the group. As she started to walk, that 'Dark Wolf' guy Sano sat down and started a conversation. Too late to turn around now.

Passing the two from behind them, she caught the tail end of the speech, a bit about Pirates and greed. She couldn't help herself. In an offended tone of voice she said, "Not all of- pirates, are dirty and greedy rotten pieces of filth." Without another word Jem continued on her way as if she didn't hear a thing, and wasn't even there. She had almost said 'all of us' just then and was determined not to draw attention to the fact.

The girl found her way up top to an empty stretch of deck, looking out at the sea and thinking about life on the Obsidian before it was sunk. Those were fun times. Jem felt at home once again, sort of, now that she was off of land once more. She relaxed, no more trying to act like a simple merchant for the moment, and had a small real smile watching the ocean foam.

Azuroth heard the girl and saw her walk away, Sano looked to Azuroth.

"She's right you know. Not all pirates are like that." Azuroth growled under his hood.

"Of course a pirate would defend themself, she is no different then you or any other."

"And she's a pirate?"

"Don't play coy, you know she is. I can tell the same way I could about you. She knows her way around a ship better then anyone, save for you and Lie." Azuroth cracked his neck and sat motionless, Sano sighed and rubbed his head.

"That last part you said about pirates being greedy was cryptic in the sense of explaining why you hate us so much." Azuroth finally turned his fully and looked at Sano through his hood.

"I'll show you why." He dropped his hood and showed the extensive burns and scars across his face alone. Sano nodded his head in undertanding.

"I see, but this looks like the work of more then pirates."

"Yes, it was also theives and even mercs." Azuroth slipped his hood back on.

"I'm going outside." Azuroth stood up from his seat and walked out onto the deck.
