I am also thankful that I haven't been in a major disaster(but pray for those who were). I am also thankful that God made sensitive men who are just beautiful people through and through. Men who arent liars and basically scum of the earth. There's quite a few on OB! You know who you are. I am very thankful for OB- the dedicated people who started it,those who run it and everyone on it. Without all of you, my first semester in college would have been quite lonely! Retribution
I was thinking about this the other night. I'm thankful for my family, for a nice home, for my family's cars, for my family's tight bond, and the blessings that the higher power has bestowed upon me, for without that I would have nothing. If we are thankful for such things, perhaps we could try to give a fraction of it to those who lack them?

Despite the fact that a lot of them benefit me in no way, at least I have them XD I am thankful for my strange talents as a writer and psychilogist (strange meaning extraordinary *bragging*) and my vast knowledge (despite uncaring attitude)
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. Like most people here the things I am most grateful for are the things I take most for granted, my family, my friends, my home and my health, though I do thank God for them every time I think to do it. I suppose other things I'm thankful for is that I live in arguably a democratic country, have a good standard of living and am not oppressed in any shape or form. I think even when times seen their darkest, have things to be grateful for and it is important we accept such things and pay our dues for them.
Sinistra
Thankful for? My friends and I were just talking about this on LiveJournal. Here's what I said. My friends. Life is lonely without them. They understand me and are very accepting of everyone. My family and their support. Without that, I wouldn't be able to do the things that I am able to do. The fact that I'm alive. No one is ever guaranteed tomorrow and I'm just glad that my life so far has been as good as it has been. The opportunities I've been given. Not only as a Native American, not only as an American citizen, but through my own achievements. I'm able to go places at a young age that others would love to go to. (For instance, I'm going to Japan next year as a Student Ambassador.) I think one of the things that I am most thankful for is my independence. No one can do things for me, I do it on my own. And I'm glad that I have the ability to do that.

Most People do what others want them to do, and when that happens it's like the original person no longer exist. No one should ever take anything for granted because it can all be snatched away in an instant.
renayiiq
My boyfriend Korey, my two greatest friends Justin (a.k.a Roach) and Jeremy (a.k.a Jerm), my three sisters (not by blood, though!) Tara, Lashawn, and Mari, my other friends (smoking buddies and school friends), and that I'm not a poor person living in a third world country where they don't celebrate thanksgiving or anything of the sort.
