rainbowphoenix
I just rented the exorcism of emily rose ad I was surprised and dissapointed at the same time, first it wasn't as scary as I thought and second the whole movie is flashbacks to what happened to emily which kind of sucked but at the climax the movie really gave me the jeepers creepers (the part when the exorcism begins) anyway the movie wasn't bad nor the best, it was midiocre I'd rather watch the grudge or house of wax. Crimson River
Wow. I just watched the craziest but still really cool (in my opinion) zombie movie ever! Everyone who is reading this, you need to run to some place that rents or sells movies and look for one called Undead. There is a picture of someone with a gas mask on the front. Shouldn't be hard to miss. This movie has a good amount of humor, blood, gore, and zombie killing action. There is a certain part where it starts to suck for a while, but stick with it. The ending is worth it!:animesmil
Renate
Somehow I'm really imune to horror movies. O.o They usually don't scare me very much. Take the exorcist, it was a good movie and a decent scare, but it didn't give me nightmares or anything O.o. Nor did Friday the 13th. Wasn't the Shining supposed to be elected the scariest movie ever? I watched it when I was like, 11, and it didn't manage to scare me whatsoever! Horror movies that managed to scare me: -Blair Witch Project - The whole 'it's real thing' was scary, I really believed it! x3 It still makes me scared! Very effictive in waking scared emotions. -The original Japanese Ring - There was a feeling of tension troughout the whole move that I really liked. -Nightmare on Elmstreet - Very good modern-day horror movie. The rhyme still lingers in my head. -The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - It was very scary and gruesome at some parts, although one part was especially laughable. childofthemorgu
I love horror films but the lack of interesting ones are starting to bother me. I just seen Hostel (which was horrible gore movie) and the previews before the movies showed all horror movies. After watching them all I can say maybe 2 I would like. It just seems like horror genre is falling deep down into horrble horrble movies. I do like some modern horror flicks but not many. My favorites probably are May, The Devil's Rejects, The Excorcist, Hellraiser, Omen, Interview with the Vampire, Wicked City (anime), Vampire Hunter D (anime), Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (anime), House of Wax (Original), Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining (Orginal), Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and others. Renate
whats the big deal with the blair witch project, how is it that scary, I understand that a bunch of people get lost in the woods and then what happens? can somebody plese tell me.
Reasons I found the Blair Witch to be scary: 1. The use of a handheld camera gave the movie a more realistic and eery (sp?) feeling. 2. Because the actors didn't have an idea what would happen one they'd enter the forest, the emotions and especially the scare are much bigger. 3. I still believe that the things you can't see scare you the most. We never get to see 'who' really does this thing. It's more like what you can't see that scares you. Take a curtain for example. When it's open it's plain obvious there's nothing in the neigborhood. But once it's closed, anything can be on the other side. It's actually a really phsycological movie!
