Random
Hardest =final= boss, eh? Interesting. I have only two final bosses that I've had any trouble with. First is all the friggin' forms of Ultamicia (spelling??) in FFVIII...Griever always killed me, what with his version of
taking magic from your characters, and crippling mine in the process.
My characters where all at level 100, but I still can't seem to beat her. WHAT HAPPENS???????? Arg....*sigh* whatever The second one that I had some trouble with was the final boss in Legend of Legia...another one I've yet to finish. Although I've not played the game in...*thinks hard*...over three years, I still pitty myself for not beating it. Meh... As for "not-final" bosses, the award must go to Sephiroth in KH. Damn, that mo-fo's hard. Even after beating every other friggin boss in the game, except for after him, he still kicked my arse...and in no time, flat. Well, I've finally beat him now, so TAKE THAT, SEPHIROTH! A close second goes to one of the final battles with Seymore in FFX. The one up on Mt. Gagazett. This form had me trying, and trying, and trying...but, glad to say, he finally fell before Rikku's awesome Mix power...*laughs evilish* Well, that's it! Ciao! -Random
GUNmanZERO7
For me it was probably the last boss on the first Xenosaga game, right after you fight Albedo (he has the best laugh ever) which is just unfair. I don't know how many times I tried before I actually beat it and when I did it was pure luck, I think I had about 150HP with Jr. when I did. I remember when I beat it I screamed joyously at the TV screen but I can't repeat what I said on the forum. But as far as optional bosses go the award has to go to Sephiroth on Kingdom Hearts, I still havn't beaten him to this day. I don't even get the chance to let One Winged Angel pick up before I'm killed, but that's just because I'm at a low level I suppose. He's a lot tougher than what he is on Final Fantasy VII anyway in my opinion.
I agree with you on xenosaga Abedo is a freak. if you play the second game that clears up a lot about him but that boss was easy. WHAT HAPPENS???????? Arg....*sigh* whatever
Agreeing very, very much here. I never got to level 100, and my memory card committed suicide so I can't (easily) redo it, but I eventually had the satisfaction of killing that *****. The only characters I had with a chance of surviving (I neglected all the others) were Squall, Zell and Rinoa, and in the end Squall was the only one I had left. What I hated most was how I had to let her kill off members of the party, then let them disappear and switch with the ones I needed, meaning that it took at least 5 minutes to get into full swing. Then she went and took out Rinoa, which left me with just 2 characters to fight her with. If it wasn't for full stocks of Aura spells, Junctioned Ultima, a couple of those invincibility potion things, and as many Curagas as you could shake a stick at, there'd be no way I could've done it. Veritas
Ultimicia was a peace of cake for me the second time I fought her. The first time, it was a game that I was very stupid about to say the least. Anywho my second time I can't even remember the level I was at honestly but I had to wait to get Rinoa, Squall and Irvine. The had all of their ultimate weapons. Squall had the revive command, darkside and I think magic. Oh and right before Ultimecia, I traded in all my cards for items, so I had like a ton of mega- potions, mega-phoenix's, and mega-elixers.
Anyways I just put aura on Squall and Irvine, and casting meltdown on Ultimecia. Then you just keep on canceling til you get the limit icon. If Squall does Lion Heart it's pretty much guarenteed that you move on to her next form, except for her last form. Make sure you have plenty of heath though, especially for Griever though, when he falls he does his special attack which is very powerful. She dies pretty quick though. In my opinion, other than her multiple forms, Aldea or whatever he/she's name is
(the sorceress you fight in Lunatic Pandora) is a harder overall fight. Dodeca
Adel? Hmm... I thought she was much easier... So long as you use the right kind of attacks, that is. It took my brother quite a while to work out the subtleties of using single-target attacks on her, so he lost that fight many a time. Now that I think about it, the final battle with Anubis in ZOE: The Second Runner took me a while too. In theory, it should be really easy, since he only uses two or three attacks. Still, he was a real nuisance. All the teleporting in, out and everywhere, and then even when you catch him he always seems to guard or get his attack in before you. Lord Dante
For me, the most difficult final boss that I've ever come across would be Whizpig from the N64 game "diddy kong racing". I found it impossible to fell him, despite me not being all that good at racing games. I think that whizpig isn't meant to be beaten anyway. I reckon he's just an Easter egg. Desbreko
Do you mean the first Wizpig race, or the second one? The trick to the first one is pretty much just making sure to hit all the zippers. I found that once I could do that, it wasn't that bad. The second race was really hard, though, until I found the best route through the track. Knowing where to go helps tremendously in that race, especially on the first lap. If you do things right, you can get ahead of him by hitting him with a missile just before going into the cave, I think it is, and then you can stay in first the rest of the race so long as you don't screw up. Using TT makes things a lot easier, but unlocking him is probably harder than just beating Wizpig on someone else.

To be honnest I got so frustrated that I tried the race in the plane.
Desbreko
You unlock TT by beating his ghost on every track in the time trial mode. First you have to get a good enough time to make the ghost appear, then beat it; you'd probably be able to find a list of the times somewhere like GameFAQs. Personally, I used Pipsy (the mouse) through most of my first run of the game, including the Wizpig races. She has the best handling and acceleration, but the lowest top speed, so I know it's possible on the slower characters. Her excellent handling is really nice for swerving around all the obstacles on the course.

Thanks a lot Desbreko. - I went back to my cart of DDKR, and Boy am I out of practice! another Final boss I have always found difficult is Gouki, from street fighter 2: The world warrior (I think this is the version - But I'm not sure) I can really only beat this guy If I'm lucky.
