You can also use this thread to do the usual Underground stuff such as asking about the main storyline behind the RP, how the pairs will function and so on. As said in the story section of the PM that this is going to take place in the Brak sector so here's the article on the Brak Sector from Wookiepedia. KKC
EDIT: ok, I fixed it. It was Gavin who told me Yoda was Whill :p ----- Character Overview Name: Yaru Age: 17 (padawan) Species: (Yoda's unknown species) Gender: Female Appearance: Like the rest of her species, Yaru?s stands roughly at 2 feet and has a darker green skin tone then most of her kind. Because of her light weight, Yaru?s foot steps are very soft and she is able to sneak up on people very easily. Yaru wears no shoes because the rough soul on her feet acts like a shoe. She has deep brown eyes and her hair is chocolate brown. Her bangs come over her large forehead (not making it look so big) and in the back it comes slightly past her shoulders where she usually keeps it tied back. She wears a dark brown tunic with the same colored pants and a tan sash belt is wrapped around her waist that holds her lightsaber and other useful equipment. Her jedi robe that she wears over this is a creamy tan color and the hood has holes in it so she can poke her ears through. Although she is small, Yaru is still physically strong like the bigger jedi. Maybe on a slightly smaller scale, but she isn't a wet noodle either. A big part of her training is building her muscles so she can hold her own with a lightsaber. Personality: Although Yaru is very tiny, she has a big personality with an even bigger heart. Even during the most wearing training sessions you can always see a smile on her small face and a glowing in her eyes. Yaru is in some ways different from the other jedi who are usually very calm and have a peaceful personality. Yaru on the other hand is very carefree and always seems to be excited about something. She sometimes has trouble during meditation because she has the urge to get up and move, instead of sitting so still. She speaks her mind unless she knows it could mean trouble. She also likes to have her alone time like most jedi. She usually retreats to room that is filled with waterfalls and a stream. Most jedi come here for meditation or just to get away from the busy academy. Yaru is also good with younglings and story telling. Sometimes younglings will come and beg for a story. Most of them are made up, but some of them are true tales of the jedi knights and masters who lived before them. What she loves most about the younglings is watching them grow from a silly toddler to a mature and respected padawan of the academy. Yaru doesn?t usually get angry and get along well with others, which she finds to be her greatest gift of all and usually in a good mood, unless death or other issues occur. Though Yaru is laid back than most, she does have her serious side that breaks in when she knows she is needed by others. General Overview: When Yaru was only an infant she was left at the star port in Gal'fian'deprisi, the capital city of Galantos. She was found by a good natured ship captain who took care of her. It was obvious that she was different from most babies, but the man just couldn?t figure out why. It wasn?t until he went to Coruscant on business that he considered that the little green girl possibly had the same cells of the jedi. When he returned to Galantos he called the jedi temple and said that he thought he had a being with midi-chlorians. So, the temple sent out a knight to see and sure enough, Yaru was taken to the temple where she began her life as a jedi. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: Here On the top is an inscription that says: Pure heart. Lightsaber(s) Type: Short Lightsaber: Yaru chose this specific kind because all the others are simply too big for her size and grip. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: The color of the blade is an emerald green that came from a crystal similar to adegan. Emerald resembles peace and the color reminds Yaru that there is no emotion, just peace. Lightsaber Combat Style: Ataru (form IV): Yaru decided that this would be the best style for her to learn because of her small size and weight. Any of the other styles would seem to give her some kind of disadvantage due to her height. Sense Ataru uses speed and jumping, it has so far turned out to be the best choice. Favoured Force Power(s): Burst of speed and Force jump: For Yaru these are very important. The combination of these two powers can able her to jump at great heights and alone burst of speed can help her move quickly. This is also essential for the Ataru style. Farsight: Yaru discovered this power just a month or two ago. She isn?t very good at it and right now it only seems to work every once and a while when she?s asleep. View of the Force: Yaru believes of the force being the energy that surrounds everyone and is all in all peaceful. To her it isn?t the ?dark side? of the force, but the force being manipulated and used by dark people who have the ability to use it. Yaru?s belief in the force is strong and she tries her best to follow the right path.
Corey
Character Overview Name: Laruc Torio Age: 20 (Padawan) Species: Human Gender: Male Appearance: Here Personality: Laruc is a person of action. He much prefers taking a part in what needs to be done rather than sitting there and watching how it plays out. He's usually one of the first to act, and the last to stop. His Master, on more than one occasion has commented that his impulsiveness is his curse and the main obstacle in his continued training. General Overview: Laruc was born on a mountainous world to a loving, if not large, family. He had four brothers and three sisters. Everyone on the planet was somehow involved in the mining business that was the planets main income generator. His father worked the deep shafts. His mother was an accountant. His two much older brothers worked in the mid-level shafts, and the brother that was only a year his senior, ran shipments from the mines to the Starports. His sisters worked mostly as cooks, though one moonlighted as a safety engineer. The Jedi came to his planet when he was only two years old. His parents were more than willing to give him to the Jedi. It was an honor to have your child accepted as a Youngling, plus it would be one less mouth to feed... He went to the Academy and began his training with all the aggressiveness he showed for two short years on his homeworld. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: Here Lightsaber(s) Type: Standard Lightsaber. Laruc constructed this lightsaber to aid in his study of the Ataru style. The Dual Phase saber does not allow for the true connection between weapon and wielder due to it's shifting nature. The allure of a dual-blade lightsaber is there, but his skill is much to low to wield such a weapon. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Laruc's lightsaber color is orange. He has combined the singular coloring crystal with a Nextor crystal from the world of M'haeli. This gives his lightsaber a very powerful and volatile blade. When it connects with another lightsaber, the blade momentarily will glow red from the volatile nature of the Nextor crystal. Lightsaber Combat Style: Ataru (form IV). Laruc has always been a little aggressive in everything he does. He plowed his way through every book he was given at the academy without food or drink until he was finished. Back on his home planet, he'd play extremely rough with the other kids. With a relative agreement from his master, he pursued the Ataru style. Favored Force Power(s): Force Valor, Burst of Speed. Studying the Ataru style of lightsaber fighting, increased speed would be a plus to any Jedi using this specific kind of dueling strategy. And the increase in bodily movements that Force Valor gives, is just the edge a Jedi needs to finish the duel with the Ataru style. View of the Force: Laruc sees the Force with more of a Karmatic view. What goes around, comes around. There can never be any kind of true good in the universe, the Force itself being multifaceted. This is why the Galaxy goes through periods of good and evil. Eventually, the Sith Lords will rise again, and eventually the Jedi will conquer them and rise to the pinnacle of inspiration.
Jokopoko
Species: Whill.
I assume by Whill you mean the unknown species of Yoda but it has been stated by Lucas himself that Yoda's species is still nameless, if you wish you can be Yoda's species but list it as "Unknown (Yoda's species)". Other than that KKC your sign-up is fine. Same goes to you Corey. If any of those invited to the RP are reading this thread and wondering what to do with your sign-ups we've decided that it's easier on the whole to post them here rather than PMing them back to Gavin or myself so please post them here and we'll review them. Jokopoko N/B: The best sign-up scenario would be to have five Knights (I'm taking one of those spots) and five Padawans (Three of which are filled including Gavin). That way everyone can get the "rank" they're requesting. The figure of ten characters comes from my current understanding of who's elected to take part.

4815162342
Character Overview Name: Eshka Sei'pek Age: 35 (Knight) Species: Bothan Gender: Female Appearance: Eshka stands at 1.2 meters, shorter than the average adult Bothan and her build is lithe and agile. Her fur is a light silver with black splotches through it. Her eyes are a light violet. Eshka usually wears loose, flowing pants and tunics in blues and silvers. She also prefers to go barefoot. Personality: Eshka has a somewhat strict and reserved personality, and at times she can be rather clueless to when others are joking. She, like most of her race, is somewhat intolerant to imperfection, but as she is always continuing to grow and learn through the force she is well on her way to accepting that not everything is going to be perfect and she can't hold it against others, especially since she herself isn't perfect. She doesn't have a very obvious sense of humour, you have to be around her for a while before you catch on to it, and she is very quick to help those who need it, medical or otherwise. She is a very gentle person and doesn't like to hurt others, but if she has to protect herself, other of the Jedi, or civilians, she will. General Overview: Eshka was born on Bothawui and was taken to be a Jedi at the age of two. She grew up amongst other children like herself, learning about the force at an early age. From that early age she always has had a caring and healing nature. Once she was old enough she was taken as a padawan by Master Gotto, another Bothan who was an expert on healing and taught her that as well as how to fight and other things that are necessary for a Jedi to learn. She did better at the healing and defense parts of her training than the attack, but was quite competent in that as well and at the age of twenty she became a Jedi Knight, something she had looked forward to since becoming her Master's Padawan. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: The handle is silver and ebony metals inlaid and is completely smooth, its switch being indented into the handle. Lightsaber(s) Type: Double-bladed lightsaber. Combined with the use of Soresu, Eshka is able to protect herself and others better as she can switch from one side to the other faster than if she were to swing the blade from one side to the other. Unlike previous users of this type, she uses it with the intention of only defending herself. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Eshka?s lightsaber uses an Adegan crystal, more specifically a Pontite. The blade is a pale blue which is almost white. The crystal she chose is known to radiate a powerful aura that cools both skin and tempers. Lightsaber Combat Style: Soresu [Form III]. Eshka chose this form as it reflects her personality and views. She would rather just defend herself than attack. If absolutely necessary, however, she will do what is needed to stop others, even if it means attacking and even killing. Favoured Force Power(s): Improved Heal and Force Shield, these also reflect her personality and views. Always protective and always a healer. View of the Force: Eshka believes that the force is in everything and that everything is the force, that the force aids life. She also believes that people should be influenced by it and not use it in a quest for power, that just because someone has it does not mean they are better. Onix
Character Overview Name: Erien Yar Age: 21 (Padawan) Species: Zabrak Gender: Male Appearance: Erien stands on the taller side for a Zabrak, at a relatively impressive 1.85 meters. His skin is a dark, brick-ish red, he has fierce golden eyes, and his head is completely bald. Like all Zabrak, he has a distinctive horn pattern, with a mid-length horn in the center of his head with four slightly smaller ones surrounding it. He has had his skin tattooed, like most of his species; his eyes are outlined in thick black, with streaks down from the center reaching to his chin. There is another, thicker streak coming down from the center of his lip towards his chin. His clothing of choice are black, baggy robes, the bagginess allowing enemy attacks to hit fabric and nothing more. He has no real distinctive pieces of clothing, preferring to blend in. Personality: Like most users of the Djem So style of combat, Erien is a bold, powerful person both in combat and in life. He is reluctant to let anything stand in his path to greatness, a confidance that some would say borders on arrogance. He's much like a hurricane, a swirling mass of emotional strength that barrels through any in its way. With his powerful heart comes an almost complete lack of fear that leads him to attempt greater challanges than most think possible. In addition, he is completely and utterly loyal to any who gain his trust, and will do whatever is needed to protect them. He uses his emotion skillfully in combat, channeling anger, loyalty, pride, and confidence into the swinging of his sword whenever he sets out to do battle. General Overview: Born on the harsh planet of Iridonia, Erien was raised in an environment that pushed him to be strong, independent, and fearless. He could face any storm, climb any mountain, fight any enemy that came his way. When his parents grew wealthy enough to fly him off the planet, he was already a sculpture of strength hewned by the rough winds around him. He was found by the Jedi almost too old to be taken in, a lucky break for him. Soon, he was on his way to becoming truly powerful. He quickly rose to the top of his class when it came to one on one combat, letting loose his emotions to become a whirlwind of flashing blades and unrestrained aggression. His teachers tried to soothe his spirit, making him restrain his feelings so that he could release them at a better time. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: An unusally thick hilt, with grooves inlaid into it to give him a strong place to grip it. A narrow piece of metal is spiraled densely around the grip from the blade-end all the way back to help protect his hand while in combat and, again, help him keep his grip on the weapon. Lightsaber(s) Type: Erien has chosen a standard lightsaber, primarily because he sees no need for the extravegance of a dual-phase or double-bladed lightsaber. A single, focused blade is all he needs to do combat with, and he will never use anything else. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Erien forged his blade from a damind crystal that gives his lightsaber a longer and wider blade than most, giving more range and power to his strikes. The color of his blade is a pure silver color, which he chose due to his search for purity in his combat. He wants his blade to be fierce and untainted by fear or hesitation. Lightsaber Combat Style: Because of his powerful, bold nature and preference towards strength and offense, Erien has chosen to study in the Djen So style, pushed onward towards it by his master. He has taken on the strength of his heart and turned it into the power of his body, pushing his enemies back and never giving them a chance to strike back when he can. Favoured Force Power(s): Erien favours powers like Battlemind and Force Valor, which give him an edge in power by increasing his physical capabilities. Also, he is known to use the Force Push and variations thereof to help in dominating the opponent in power. However, he primarily sticks to his own physical abilties rather than Force abilties. View of the Force: To Erien, the Force is primarily a mean to an end - it's a way to become strong. However, his goal is not purely to become powerful, for he knows that that way leads to the Dark Side. He only wants to become powerful enough to do what is right and defeat those that would challenge peace and the sanctity of life. The Force lets him do that, and that is all. OOC: Let me know if anything needs changing.
Ezekiel
Character Overview Name: Payja Sunstorm Age: 27 Gender: Female Race: Human, from Tatooine Rank: Jedi Knight Appearance: Payja stands at 5?5?? in height, her build and features in proportion to each other. Her fighting style lends itself to a lean build and while Payja does not look like the strongest of fighters she can most definitely fight with the best of them. Her smallish build is very deceiving and many have been caught unawares by it. Her long slender legs and longs arms give Payja bursts of speed that are useful in battle, she is also able to jump easily. Her red hair is kept short and is usually spiky though this does not make her look less effeminate as it shows off her long face with it?s high cheek bones and slim eyes. Her eyes are a dark green colour, often getting darker when she is angry. Her lashes are long and thick, giving her a stare a very lasting effect on people. She has milky white skin and long fingers tipped with clipped nails. Her robes are a mixture of cream and brown, like Mace Windu's. She also has gold streaks along the front part of chest armour. Her boots are black suede and she wears a dark brown cloak like Obi Wan. Personality: Payja is, as her fighting style suggests, an aggressive woman when she wants to be. While most of the time she chooses not to hint at whatever emotion she is feeling at the time she does open up to her master and shows her ?true self? around him. When with the people she trusts, Payja wears a small smile and can crack out a few good jokes gaining laughs from those she socialises with. When pushed too far Payja has been known to snap, some claim this is because she was taken away from her family too soon, other?s have opinions they choose to keep to themselves. Sometimes sarcastic though mostly a genuinely decent human being, Payja is a steady and eager learner even though she can handle herself in most situations. While by no means the most elegant of fighters, Payja is fiercely determined and will carry out a mission to the very end no matter what the consequences. She is very loyal to her master and to the rest of the Jedi. She is a firm believer in morals and humanity. Biography: A sweltering hot day with the sand storms rising far off in the distance marked the birth of a little girl, second child of the house of Sunstorm. She didn?t cry when the nurse wrapped a soft brown towel around her, the few strands of dark red hair sprouting from her white and bloodstained head sticking to her forehead. Her mother was proud, no, ecstatic that her daughter had acted as such?. just as she had been told by the travelling Jedi Master. The woman, now in her forties, took the silent girl into her arms and cradled her softly to her chest, smiling warmly down at her newest daughter--the only daughter of the family. ?And you shall be Payja, my child, and you shall grow strong?? ---- The Sunstorm family well were respected people on the planet of Tatooine. Payja?s father (Sarle Sunstorm), a merchant and ex-pilot, had made a tidy sum of money over his years and he had donated a large amount of it to various charities. Her mother, a beautiful women, designed clothes but also made a point of going into the poorer areas of their hometown to help out with whatever she could. They were a model family and when their first son was born it was obvious that he would grow to be a great man. As his son grew older, Sarle Sunstorm knew instinctively that there was something about him that was special?different than the boys he had befriended. Even though he did not know what this feeling was he was sure that it was something good and pure. These suspicions were confirmed when a Jedi Master was forced to stop in Tatooine, his ship battered almost beyond repair. The people directed the Jedi to Sarle and his wife, Nu?Yav, telling him that he would be well looked after while his ship was repaired. The process, they explained, could well take up to a week if the Jedi was willing to wait that long. When the man entered the house of Sunstorm he immediately sensed the force strongly radiating from the child?s room. The boy, at the time, was six years old and his mother was with child once again. As the Jedi master entered the room and introduced himself to the women he was once again hit by the power of the force, faint though it was. After a few days of staying with the Sunstorm family he realised that their children, both the unborn and young boy, would become great fighters if they so wished. He informed the parents of this and they asked if he would one day come and visit them, he promised he would and that promise he carried out eight years later on the day of Payja?s brother?s birthday. He took both children the following day, showing more interest in the eight-year-old girl who clutched protectively to her brother?s hand while he instead wept for his mother. The girl shed no tears. She did not frown. It was as if she was void of all emotion. The Master knew all too well that she would turn out to be a Jedi while her brother would not survive through such intense training. As Payja?s skill grew with her years she realised that being a Jedi was what she wanted, and being a Master eventually was what she needed. Her master was killed while she was still a Padawan and even then she did not show any sign of sadness or remorse. The other Jedi did not know whether to be shocked or awed by this. Payja has made a name for herself among the other Jedi Knights. She is by no means the most powerful of them all; she repeatedly failed when training in using the Dual Lightsaber and was very close to injuring herself in the process. She is able to wield the force with acute accuracy, but once again she does not have much power when using it. Her master believed this was because she had no emotion, not even the adrenaline that anger provides when in the heat of battle. Payja is seemingly content with whatever situation she finds herself in and will remain loyal to her cause throughout. She continues to train harder than she has done when she was younger and is eager to move to a higher level. This sudden thirst for more power is proving to be worrying to a few Jedi masters; it is something they have decided to keep a watch on. Jedi Overview Lightsaber: Payja uses a single Lightsaber having long ago abandoned any hope of mastering the skill with Dual Lightsabers. Her inability to master combat made it clear that she shouldn?t attempt to use a more complex weapon and her skills with a single Lightsaber are pretty efficient. The blade itself is a bright yellow colour, giving the whole Lightsaber a very rustic look. She prefers this colour as it reminds her of home, with the vast expanses of sand and brown that was there. The hilt is made of a bronze coloured metal and has a very rough appearance with scores across one side of the hilt for a much better grip. Payja finds this to work much better for her, as it lets her keep control over her weapon in fast combat. The hilt itself is very simple in design with the activator being the only protruding aspect of the Lightsaber. The hilt itself is short, just long enough for Payja to wrap both hands around it. The top of the hilt has a guard for her hands which spreads out in a star shape, Payja has been known to use this part of her hilt as a weapon without even activating the blade. Payja has made sure that her Lightsaber is as light as possible; she finds this easier to handle considering the style of fighting she uses. On the end of the hilt hangs a short chain with two beads on the end, one red and the other black. Payja has these as charms?they remind her of her master and how he is always with her in spirit while he cannot be there in person. Lightsaber Style: Shien (Form IX)- Payja, while lacking in areas of combat, tries harder than most to prove herself. Shien, being an agressive form, shows Pajya's slightly arrogant side in that she only wants others to see that she is capable and she is powerful. To make up for her unsure footing and occasional slips, Payja is an all-out offensive fighter who believes in going quick for a defeat. Favoured Force Power: Battle Meditation- Simply put, Payja knows that her skills can let her down in intense combat, and is covering her basis by training herself to use this technique expertly well. View of the Force: Payja is not a woman who concentrates her energy into something that she feels won?t bring her something in return. The Force, to her, is something that will bring her recognition and status, and this seems to be very important to her. She respects the Force, and wishes that it works on her side throughout her time as a Jedi. Good stuff, looking forward to this.
Jokopoko
This is earlier than I thought I would post it but its finished so here it is, the leader of this little band. ~*~ Character Overview Name: Asi-Mar-Umdal Age: 33. [Cerean males age at twice the rate of Humans so he looks around 60.] Species: Cerean. Gender: Male. Appearance: Click here. The clothes are also his standard Jedi garb but he does often utilise the large cloaks to hide his true identity. Personality: Asi differs from other Cerean in that while he too has the inner calm and focus that most of his people possess he also has an emotional side and, what Jedi purists would call, a Dark Side. Rather than completely abandon his emotions Asi-Mar-Umdal feels he needs to keep them with him, not only for his family but also because he wants to use the Force as it should be and not just one point of view of it, such as the ?Light Side? of the Force. He is not a storm of emotion though as he uses his emotions in conjunction with his peoples common calm and analytical nature. In personal relationships Asi-Mar-Umdal can sometimes appear to distance himself from close relationships with fellow sentients as he does not wish to be connected with more people than he needs to be, the exceptions are his family and his Padawan. With others he always limits himself to acquaintance if need be. This often gives him the appearance of being aloof but he is merely protecting himself and others from emotional entanglements. However there are times when Asi can do something as rash and, apparently, random as Juyo. General Overview: Asi-Mal-Umdals family has always been strong with the Force, his paternal Grandfather Umdal-Sen-Tue was a great Jedi in his time and ascended to the Council quickly for a Cerean. His father, Mal-Umdal-Sen too is a Jedi but he has not reached the Council, though he currently resides in the Temple teaching the Younglings. Many Jedi are without families and relations but as is traditional with Cerean Jedi all the males are allowed to be part of polygamous marriages due to the low birth rate on Cerea. After his birth Asi was watch closely by his father for any hint of Force prowess and he took routine midichlorian counts. By his seventh month Asi was taken by his father to the temple on Coruscant to begin his training. He seemed to have the same abilities as his father and some even likened him to his Grandfather. He seemed more attuned to the living Force and so he did not seemed as intent to learn of the aggressive side of the Force so he was educated in using the Force to benefit others as well as preventing combat with an opponent. On the other hand he showed a great aptitude for Lightsaber combat and he quickly overcame the basics of Shii-Cho and began practising with Makashi. By age eleven he had been chosen by Jedi Knight Heru Semper and the two became fast friends. During his Padawan training Asi gave up on Makashi and decided to study the rarely used Juyo form of Lightsaber combat. During his Knighthood Asi-Mar-Umdal went on many solo missions to the Expansionist region and often times to the outer rim. He did return to Cerea and take his first of four wives, his first child being a son named Lim-Asi-Mar and the rest of his children, for now, have been daughters. He took his Padawan fairly young and the too have become close friends in their time, it was due to their experience in the Expansionist region that the Council chose them as the ?lead? pair in their last mission before his Padawans Knighthood. Jedi Overview Lightsaber Appearance: Click here. His design was inspired by that of his Grandfathers Lightsaber and the fact that his Lightsaber operates at different lengths requires the focusing prongs above the blade emitter. Lightsaber Type: After completing his Padawan training Asi had already chosen to be a practioner of the seventh form of Lightsaber combat, but he felt that this form required a different type of Lightsaber rather than the standard type. His choice of a Dual Phase Lightsaber was because he liked to have the upper hand on his enemy while fighting, they would be far to focused on the outlandish style of Juyo to notice the sudden change in the Lightsabers length, and then it was too late. The fixed lengths for his Lightsabre are as follows, the ?standard? length is 2? 5? which is the length Asi operates the Lightsaber at whilst holding it idle or facing opponents with blaster based weapons. The secondary length is 1? 5?, this not only shortens the blades length but also increases its intensity so this length is more effective at surprising an enemy during Lightsaber combat and for cutting through various materials. Lightsaber Crystals/Colour: The first Crystal that Asi-Mar-Umdal owned was the standard Mephite crystal from the Adgea system, it was the crystal used in his Padawan Lightsaber and produced a light blue colour when ignited. It was somewhat rare for Padawans to continue using their original Lightsaber crystal in their second Lightsaber but as Asi had chosen a Dual Phase Lightsaber he knew he needed to keep his first crystal. The second crystal was a Bondar crystal from the asteroid belt in the Alderaan system. This crystal created a deeper blue, almost green colour, so when his blade is ignited Asi-Mar-Umdal?s Lightsaber is Aquamarine. His Adgea crystal is the main part of his standard blade length while the Bondar crystal serves as the shorter length crystal, the Bondar crystal can also enable the Lightsaber to temporally stun the opponent. Lightsaber Combat Style: Most of the Cerean Jedi prefer to use the second, third or fourth forms of Lightsaber combat due to the analytical nature of their binary brains. Asi-Mar-Umdal on the other hand prefers to use the highly complex seventh form know as Juyo. He is able to use the highly unpredictable Juyo in combination with his inner-calm and binary-brain to be a very formidable opponent. While Juyo is thought by many to be a release for the practioners Dark Side this is not the reason Asi chose to utilise this form. Juyo is Asi-Mar-Umdals answer to how he views the Force, he prefers to see it as a whole rather than separate so he channels his emotion and other ?Dark Side? forces into his Juyo combat so he can fully realise the power of the Force. N/B: This form is used by Mace Windu but he made a variant called Vaapad so Asi-Mar-Umdal?s Juyo shouldn?t be confused with Windu?s Vaapad. Favoured Force Powers: One of Asi-Mar-Umdals favoured powers is the ?Force Sight? power. He prefers this because not only does it enable him to track his quarry in darkness but can also limit the amount of Lightsaber combat he takes part in due to his element of surprise. In conjunction with ?Force Sight? he also uses ?Force Body? which allows him to use Force energy in tandem with his own life force thus giving him an edge in combat. His last primary force power is ?Force Stun? which he uses alongside his Bondar crystal blade to further incapacitate his enemy. View of the Force: Asi-Mar-Umdal looks at the Force as one whole and dislikes the idea that it can be split into the Light and Dark side. With the Sith Wars still close in memory it is hard for him to vocalise these beliefs to his fellow Jedi as many view this way of thinking as some kind of heresy and a path to the ?Dark Side?. He does not admit this to his colleagues but there have been times when he has used a ?Dark Side? power to subdue an enemy, but he has never used them with the intent to kill. He has been trying to imbue this belief in his Padawan but he seems reluctant to do this as many of the young Jedi fear the path to the Dark Side because of the recent conflicts. Gavin
In response to the Whill thing, far be it from me to shift blame onto someone else, but I was merely quoting our esteemed Star Wars expert Dave [Boba Fett] on that one. Anyway on to the sign up. Character Overview Name: Galren Jeth Age: 23 Galactic Standard Years (Padawan) Species: Arkanian Gender: Male Appearance: Given the distinctive characteristics of all Arkanians, Jeth has on occasion been mistaken for a blind human, in reality despite his eyes being completely white he can see exceptionally well under most circumstances. His four clawed fingers, well three fingers and an opposable thumb, are as capable at performing the majority tasks as their human counterparts. Having gone through the Arkanian period of maturity, Jeth now also bears the characteristic white hair that he has allowed grow out to shoulder length, though he has kept with the single Padawan braid of the Jedi as not to seem disrespectful of the Order?s ways. Tall and stalwartly built, Jeth is typically an imposing sight for most races who regard his size as some measure of power. Of course this outward physical strength is complemented by his attunement with the Force, not only increasing his physical strength but preventing his size from being a detriment by augmenting his dexterity to Jedi levels. Of course all of these traits are typical of all Jedi or in his case Padawan, but that doesn?t stop that 1.95 metre Arkanian from being somewhat intimidating to those who would be unaware of Jedi philosophy. In terms of overall dress Jeth is very much conventional, attiring himself in the typical robes of a Jedi Padawan. Perhaps the only oddity about his tunic is the fact that it's full-length rather than the more normal half tunic and leggings combination used by most Jedi. However these apparels are favoured by those more academic Jedi who are members of the Archive staff, to which Jeth would eventually like to belong. Given his already fair complexion, as well as the distinctive colours of his eyes and hair, Jeth has attires himself in robes of a somewhat darker brown than would be normal for a Padawan. Of course such is not any indication of his allure to the Dark Side, it is simply down to the fact that lighter coloured clothing makes him look even more pale than he feels is necessary. Personality: One of more famed personality traits of the Arkanians is arrogance, stemming from the belief that they are the pinnacle of evolution in the galaxy. Thankfully years as a Jedi Initiate, and later Padawan have purged whatever arrogance he may have possessed and left him a distinctly humble individual. By his very nature he is somewhat reserved, though most would actually consider shy to be a more appropriate word to describe him, and despite his intimidating size he is uncomfortable when it comes to conflict with others. A more bookish individual than most Padawan, Jeth would often prefer to spend his time studying in the Jedi Archives or sifting through the archaeological data from the digs at Ossus and Dantooine. Despite his shyness Jeth is the epitome of what most would consider a Jedi to be, he is immensely hardworking, completely dedicated to the ideals of the Jedi Order and a very compassionate and fair individual, especially when it comes to the process of Jedi justice. Jeth is whether he realises it or not a rather accomplished diplomat in his own right, and is capable of stirring people into action with his words, of course if one were to say this to him he probably wouldn?t accept such a thing as being possible given his shyness. Of course this major self doubt in his own abilities is one of Jeth?s biggest flaws, as it prevents him from truly being able to know himself, which in turn prevents him from truly knowing the Force. Probably the most accurate words to describe Jeth would be those echoed by the current Chief Librarian Sienna Keto on many of the occasions she?s found the young Arkanian in the Archives in the early hours. Put simply she?d say ?He?s such a nice young man? and in reality it?s the best compliment Jeth feels he can ever be paid, as he has great respect for the Librarian Master. General Overview: Born in the Colony world of Arkanian, it was quite likely that Jeth was going to be identified as a Jedi candidate very early in his life. The first child of Galren Gara and Denasa, his parents believed right from his birth that their child was a Force-sensitive, a simple midi-chlorian check revealed that they were indeed correct and the young infant was name Galren Jeth. Jubilation was perhaps the best word to describe his family?s reaction in the knowledge that one of their own was going to be a Jedi, despite the fact that Arkanian Jedi are not uncommon, still it was something to celebrate. Dispatching a message to their Sector Watchman, the Human Jedi Master was to conclude that the infant was indeed suitable for Jedi training and that he be relocated to the Jedi Temple immediately for training. Of course Jeth was only two or three months old at this stage, and as concluded by the Council was not quite old enough to begin training per-se but would be kept in the Jedi Nursery with other infants who arrived too young to begin formal training. He spend the next few years curiously staring at the different constellations and images that would hover over his crib at night before he went to sleep. Over the course of the next twelve and a half years, Jeth as an Initiate or ?Youngling? was trained as part of the Katarn Clan by Jedi Master and later Chief Librarian Sienna Keto. At age thirteen he was one of the Padawan fortunate enough to be chosen by a Jedi Knight for continued training in the ways of the Force. Like many Initiates, Jeth had hoped to reach Knighthood himself by age eighteen, but such was never likely and a further five years later he is still judged not ready to take the Trials. Jeth has high hopes however that upon completing this diplomatic mission to the Brak Sector he will be elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight, but such is as always in the hands of the Jedi Council. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: It is usual for a Padawan or Jedi to create several lightsabers over their course of their lifetime, as a reflection of their ever increasing knowledge of the Force and the galaxy. Often the older the Jedi, the more intricate and complex the design of the lightsaber. However Jeth is one of those Jedi or Padawan rather, in that the more lightsabers he has created, three so far, the more simplistic in appearance they have become. Of course this isn?t to say that they are unsophisticated, quite the opposite in fact. Preferring to keep the lightsaber smooth and comfortable in the hand, he has decided to forego the extra control switches that allow the manipulation of the lightsaber blade, and aside from the red activation switch there are no other control switches on the lightsaber. The outer casing of the lightsaber is probably one of the more impressive aspects to the Jedi tool, the casing itself is a quadrinium alloy, giving superior strength but also a relatively lighter weight compared to other sabres. Etched into the platinum coloured casing are a series of linear 3mm groves that cover the entire sabre itself, it is unknown if they have any significance as Jeth has never spoken about them. Given the use of a Hurrikaine Crystal in the lightsaber, the blade is only slightly darker than the normal Adegan blue as seen in crystals from Ilum. The dimensions of the lightsaber are somewhat larger than normal, the hilt being 36cms and the blade being roughly a meter ten. Lightsaber(s) Type: Crystal Lightsaber, the typical styled lightsaber of a Jedi. Having built three normal lightsabers over the course of his training, Jeth has developed a partiality for this type of lightsaber, enjoying the relative simplicity of the design, given that it performs it?s fundamental task as well as any other sabre variant. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Certain crystals, like Mephite, have become the building blocks upon which most lightsabers are created. But there are others, more elusive crystals such as the Ankarres Sapphire or the Kaiburr Crystal upon which legends are built for their powers. At the heart of Jeth lightsaber is one such crystal, and though the Hurrikaine has not reached the same status as the Kaiburr outside the Archives, it is still a crystal to be held in respect for it?s powers. As has already been stated, the blade created by this deep blue crystal is subtly darker than that of a normal blue Mephite crystal. The Hurrikaine is famed for it?s ability to break through enemy defences, augmenting the kinetic force of the sabre?s impact upon another blade, the crystal also enhances the intensity of the blade itself increasing the damage yielded by a successful strike. Lightsaber Combat Style: Form V: Djem So. One would question why a Padawan as tentative as Jeth would choose to study a lightsaber style as emotionally laden as Djem So, it would seem far more in keeping with his methodology and persona to study the more passive and reserved form of Soresu. Of course like most questions in life, the question as to why Jeth studies Form V has a relatively simple answer, it allows him to divest himself of his frustrations and bottled up emotions. When he fully immerses himself in Form V there is a distinct change in Jeth?s personality, Djem So users are famed for their confidence, boldness and power, and Jeth is no different. Perhaps it is part of his Arkanian heritage breaking through his mental barriers at their weakest, perhaps it is just part of Jeth himself being able to break free of his own self-imposed restrictions. But whatever the reason, the quiet, bookish Padawan is transformed into a fearless, powerful warrior who is more than willing to use his own natural strength to his advantage. Favoured Force Power(s): All Jedi are more proficient at certain powers over others, and Jeth is no different. His strength in the Force and dedication to the old lore of the Jedi Order have allowed him to learn the Force Immunity power, granting him the ability to either dissipate or redirect enemy Force Powers right back at their original caster. The other ability with which Jeth has an affinity is the Battle Meditation Force Power, which of course was the signature power of the famed and progenitor Arkanian, Arca Jeth. View of the Force: Being as true to the teaching as the Jedi Order as he possible can, there is no doubt in Jeth?s mind that the view of the Force held by the Jedi Council is the correct one. There is the Light Side of the Force, the path all Jedi should strive to walk, the side from which all Jedi draw their strength, the side upon which the Dark Side cannot prevail. Then there is the Dark Side, the aspect of the Force that must be fought without fear, without hesitation and without end, it must always be fought, or the galaxy will suffer because of it. Those who walk the Dark path must be confronted and defeated, including those who would see the Potentium Heresy as acceptable, the Dark side is insidious and once one begins the path it will forever dominate one?s destiny. Revelation
Character Overview Name- Kora Nov Age/ Rank- 28/ Jedi Knight Species/ Gender- Kiffar Female Appearance- Kora stands at 5 feet 4 inches with pale ivory skin marked with a thin black line running vertically down the left side of her face, a small black arrowhead underneath her right, and a series of, what appeared to be, rose thorns varying in rotations around the upper arm of both arms. Her body is lean and muscular, well adapted to the different climates of the various planets scattered across the galaxy and her luscious dark-colored hair falls to her waist though held in a ponytail. The Jedi clothing attire she wears is a pale gray with ocean blue linings, her armor bears a silver trigram and silver linings on the front, as well as the back, her shoes a storm gray which are all worn underneath a hooded midnight blue cloak. Personality- Strangely, Kora is rebellious, outspoken, and spontaneous with a fiery spirit that cannot be extinguished but more so, she is also rational, understanding, and hard-working, having contradictions that seem to coincide quite well with each other, never colliding with anything she was taught. She walked with a cool head that could only invoke thoughts of nothing but training and ravenous information that could never escape her. She held onto a strong will and a powerful tongue that could tear apart even the smallest thing that anyone could say or even twist words only to make her not seem what the other perceives her to be. Kora is passionate about what is fighting for, her beliefs, and her morals. She holds them dearly but also is open-minded and will listen to whatever another wishes to say, which makes her one of the few Jedi who give a bit leeway but only in very little. Overall, this Jedi Knight is a Kiffar who pushes herself to become one of the best, a Jedi fighting hard to hold onto her pure force-sensitiveness; above all else, she wishes to create her own destiny and not allow others to create it for her, which explains why she is defiant in many things. Yet, in the end, Kora does what is right and holds no regrets. General Overview- Like many Kiffar, Kora was born with psychometric abilities which were enhanced by the force-sensitiveness within her. This had already labeled her to be a Kiffar Guardian and soon a sheyf to the planet Kiffar. Yet, unlike most Kiffar, Kora had no family who would be with her, therefore making her an orphan but being on the planet Kiffu, Kora had family friends who had high hopes for her, knowing well enough that she would be great either as a Guardian or Jedi. They also acknowledged that whatever decision they came to, they would support Kora even if she left Kiffu, they would be the family that Kora never had. While training as a Youngling, it was apparent that Kora was a bit more adept than most of the young Jedi children at the academy. She had skills foreseen only in some Jedi, abilities that fathom even the greatest of Jedi, albeit of all this, she is still young. Soon enough, Kora became a Jedi Padawan and was paired with a teacher who shaped her into a rose that hid her thorns. With her teacher, Kora learned of the Jar?Kai lightsaber style and practiced daily, even hourly, to perfect it and become a master of the style. She was also taught to control her abilities; especially her Psychometry for it was the most powerful of all abilities within her. Now as a Jedi Knight, Kora awaits her own Padawan to train and create a Force Bond with, teaching them everything her teacher had taught her, shaping them into who they should be and not what everyone wants them to be. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s)- Beginning as a Jedi Padawan, Kora mainly wielded a standard lightsaber, but never felt challenged by its use. She felt as though it had held her down and did not allow her to battle at her fullest extent. It was then that Kora found that the intricate dual-lightsaber was best fit for her because of the difficulty of the handling, the defense and offense it had to give, and the agility it had due to the separation of the two lightsabers. It was definitely a slight challenge but soon grew to become an obstacle that Kora had to overcome for she soon held onto twin lightsabers, which were created from Mandalorian Iron. Her lightsabers were one of few that were difficult to destroy, let alone wield for its unparticular metal. It took great practice and concentration to finally perfect the feel of the metal placed within her hand before she could combat with it. Both lightsabers held a Jenraux crystal, the refined form of the Opila, cleansed of all impurities. It is a crystal that produces a more agile blade, known for its unerring quickness, and believed to give its wielder enhanced dexterity in combat. It is a crystal that provides both mental and physical concentration and durability for Kora. Yet, the lightsaber Kora wielded in her right hand held a Lorridian Gemstone which was given force by force-Adept, enhancing the ability to read the owner?s opponents and the lightsaber wielded in her left hand held a Kasha crystal from the planet Cerea. The Kasha crystal had the power to help clear the owner?s mind of distractions, even during tense combat. The two sabers, though, emitted a unique jade-colored blade. Lightsaber Combat Style- Though having learnt all forms of combat styles, Kora has found that using the Jar?Kai combat style was best fit for her for she wielded twin lightsabers, just as Asajj Ventress had, as well as several others. It was a difficult style for parrying and striking with two sabers was confusing, and concentration was key to perfecting Jar?Kai, as well as footwork, handling, and agility. Favored Force Power(s)- As a Kiffar, Kora was already given certain powers that they attain either in their early years or at birth. But as a Jedi, Kora was able to learn new powers quickly and retain them as if they had been with her since birth. Her heritage and strong will furthered her to awaken Force Empathy, a force power similar to Psychometry, a force sense that involved picking up impressions and traces of information about the object touched and the events that have surrounded it. Though, those two mental force abilities were opened because of her Kiffar heritage, Kora had learned other mental force abilities such as Force Concealment, allowing her to mask her Force alignment, her ability to use the force, or even her entire presence from those who are force-sensitive, and several other abilities Although, Kora is known for her mental force abilities, she has shown ruthlessness in using force abilities that deal with the physical aspect of a force power. She is seen using Combustion, a force power that was used to explode an object by sheer force of will, and Saber Throw, as well as much more. Albeit, this Kiffar Jedi had seen Yaddle, the most prominent practitioner of this dangerous technique, use the Morichro ability, a force power similar to Force Trance, slowing a being?s metabolism, breathing, and heart rate or similar biological systems, but unlike Force Trance, Morichro could be used to affect beings other than the Jedi. Some could say that she had a knack for desiring the more dangerous and forbidden powers that most Jedi would rather stay away from. View of the Force- Born into the Jedi way, Kora owes her life to the Jedi. She is bound by honor, pride, and life to them and there is nothing more satisfying than to fight to defend its name and to defend the people who depend on it. All in all, Kora is Jedi, and Jedi is life, and in the end, life is relived through Kora.

This is, for lack of a better word, a way for those who applied to that to have a second "Star Wars" RP and we also wanted a smaller number than applied to the original RP in order to keep a small even numbered group. I'll talk with Gav to see if he'd be happy with you joining and if so we'd need another player because we're currently on ten players, plus you would be eleven.

Outlaw
Character Overview Name: Torrin Zalrock Age: 40 Species: Epicanthix Gender: Male Appearance: Here. Commonly, he can be found in his Black and Brown standard Jebi Knight robes. Torrin stands an imposing 6'3" with the fit and athletic physic possessed by most Jedi. Personality: Much like his Jedi brethren, Torrin has a cool and disciplined manner, which has only been magnified by his Jedi training. Torrin has also been in contact with a variety of species his entire life. This has led him to become master diplomat. His calm attitude allows him to always see any conflict with objectivity and wisdom. This does not mean that he is entirely without emotion. Torrin is, in fact, a friendly and humorous man. His years of diplomacy have taught him that kindness and friendship is the best way to prevent conflict, and so he tries to make such a relationship with most people he meets. General Overview: In the years after the New Sith War and the fall of Lord Kaan, most of intergalactic space was left in turmoil. Trade routes were ravaged by pirates, who had become such a threat that the Republic was forced to look to the Jedi Order for aid. Johun Othone, the former padawan of the legendary Lord Hoth, agreed to help the Republic as payment for aid in building the Valley of the Jedi. While responding to a distress call from a trade fidget on the Outer Rim, Johun found that a band of pirates comprised of mostly humanoids had slaughtered the ship's crew in order to commander the fidget and it's supply of industrial metals and alloys. The pirates were well trained but no match for Johun's Jedi skill. After dispatching of the pirates, Johun explored their ship for any stolen goods, but found something else entirely. Inside the ship's living quarters lay the infant Epicanthix Torrin, sleeping calmly. Normally, Johun would bring the child to one of the many orphanages back on Coruscant, but this child was special. Even at his young age, Johun could sense Torrin's force sensitivity. And so, Torrin was brought too the Jedi Council on Coruscant and trained in the Jedi arts. After finishing his youngling training, Torrin was sent to the Outer Rim as the padawan of the man who had found him in the first place, Johun Othone. They worked as peacekeepers and pirate hunters for many years, visiting several planets all around the outer rim. It was on these missions that Torrin developed his innate sense for diplomacy, as well as expanding his own Jedi skills. It wasn't until a fateful run in with a clan of Mandalorians that Torrin achieved the rank of Jedi. Torrin and Johun on their way to investigate a routine distress call from a Republic trade ship when a squadron of Mandalorian warriors ambushed them. Their small Jedi fighters were no match for the Mandalorian's war-ship, so they boarded the Mandalorian ship to battle them light saber to blaster. Luckily, the Mandalorians were caught off guard by this tactic, and Torrin and Johun were able to fight through most of their rank with relative ease. However, upon reaching the ship's bridge, they found the ship's captain to be a great deal more formidable. While Torrin handled the pilots and support crew, Johun attempted to take on the captain alone. Tragicly, Johun fell to the Mandalorian's his masterful blaster pistol and vibro-sword. Unwavered by the loss, content with the knowledge his master was now one with the force, Torrin was able to overtake the Mandalorian captain as he gloated over the fallen Jedi. With the Mandalorian force defeated, Torrin returned to Coruscant with his fallen master's light saber and robes to report his death to the council. Upon hearing about Johun's death and Torrin's victory over an entire war-ship of Mandalorians, the Jedi Council unanimously elected to promote Torrin to the rank of Jedi Knight. Because of his history and experience on the outer rim, Torrin was a natural choice to send to the Brak sector and return it to peace. Jedi Overview Light sabers : Shown here, Torrin opted for this design for both his light saber's favoring this dark and sleek design. He covered the hilt in a black grip to improve his handling. Both blades are focused through standard blue crystals found on Ilum. With his duties as a peacekeeper, he has had little time to explore for more powerful crystals. However, now that he is a full-fledged knight, he hopes to eventually find time to further develop his sabers. Light saber Combat Style: In his years as a peacekeeping padawan on the outer rim, Johun developed a knowledge of a number of light saber techniques to deal with the many challenges he faced. Chief among these were Form II: Makashi and Form X: Niman / Jar'Kai. He developed his Makashi skills in years of sparring with his old master Johun, as he found it to be the only way to counter his powerful Soresu technique. His Jar'Kai technique he developed as a way to best handle the many opponents he encountered in major peacekeeping missions. Favored Force Power(s): While Torrin is adept in most common force abilities, such as force push and mind tricks, he has also developed a number of skills focused on battling or defending large numbers. His favorite amongst these are force stasis and wave when on the offensive and force bubble for defending himself and those around him. One of his favorite and most effective techniques is force blinding, which he often uses in conjunction with burst of speed to blind large numbers of enemies then cut them down with blistering speed and dual light sabers. View of the Force: Having lived his entire life under the Jedi order, Torrin has an unwavering faith in the Jedi Council and the will of the force. He sees his life as simply a tool through which the force's bidding can be done, and has often sacrificed his body and nearly his life to uphold it's balance. Blayze
Character Overview Name: Corin Gerul Age: 17 (Padawan) Gender: Male Appearance: Corin is a young, healthy-looking individual, with tanned skin, crimson eyes and a thick head of dark-brown hair. He stands at a reasonably impressive height, just under six foot, with a slight, sinewy muscle build. His Jedi robes are the brown-and-tan robes of a Padawan learner, and he has the single braid of a Padawan hanging down his back, so it doesn?t get in the way of his combat. His thick black boots are typical of a Jedi as well, and come up to his knees. His body is pitted with scars from an incident which he doesn?t like to talk about, and especially notable is a long red scar running from the bottom of his neck, in a twisting pattern, down to the small of his back. Another one goes from his hairline down the left side of his face and stops level with his mouth. Personality: Corin is still young, and he still has much to learn about the Force. Currently he is slightly disrespectful of the Jedi Council, as well as many other authority figures, but the Jedi hope to teach him how to control these thoughts and instincts. He shows great potential to be a Jedi, and he is often found meditating, trying his best to overcome these conflicting emotions. He shows dedication to the Jedi Order, and he wishes to become the best Jedi he can. He simply has to shrug off the more rebellious parts of his nature. General Overview: Corin was born on an almost completely aquatic planet, almost four-fifths covered by water. He was discovered as an infant of only 18 months old, and was taken to the Jedi Academy. He grew up in the Bear Clan, and it was soon discovered that he was a powerful attacker in the style of Ataru, or Form IV, and this was expanded on as he grew from being a youngling to a Padawan. What was kept secret from him, however, was that he had a high midi-chlorian count, suggesting that perhaps someone in his immediate family was a Jedi. It was revealed after a long while that his father did in fact have the midi-chlorian count to be a Jedi, but unfortunately it was far too late for him to begin any training. As it turned out he was powerful with a lightsaber, it was also revealed that he had a huge amount of potential in the use of the Force. It was decided as soon as he left the Bear Clan that he would be most comfortable in using the Ataru form of lightsaber combat, and so he started learning this much earlier than many other Padawans began learning their own personal lightsaber styles. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s): Since early in his training, he was discovered as a powerful Ataru user, so he was almost immediately drawn to constructing his own lightsaber for use. Thus, he has only ever had one lightsaber built by himself. And so, he began to construct his own lightsaber, and, somewhat controversially in the eyes of the Council, he constructed a curve-hilted lightsaber, an unusual design for a first saber. This gave him the ability to make more spinning actions during combat, something which marks him as a good combatant. He took many painstaking weeks researching and developing his lightsaber design, and even longer actually building it, making sure that the crystals were aligned correctly. Eventually, he resurfaced, with his new lightsaber in his hand. The crystals were a deep crimson, much darker than those commonly used by Sith Lords, crystals which were given to Corin when he was born, by his mother, who hoped that they would come in handy one day. They were a rare crystal, found only in the coral reefs of Corin?s homeworld, and they were worth a vast amount of money. But Corin?s mother knew this, but still she gave them to her son to take with him wherever he went. This gift means that Corin is extremely protective of his lightsaber, one of the reasons he made the hilt from the rare and expensive Phrik alloy, usually used to make electrostaffs for military purposes. This meant that the hilt of his blade could not be cut by another lightsaber. Lightsaber Combat Style: As mentioned previously, Corin is a powerful user of Lightsaber Form IV, also known as the Ataru form. Many powerful Jedi used this form, including a powerful Jedi Knight known as Yoda. It involves powerful use of lightsaber skill, with offensive, quick strikes, many jabs and stabbing motions, combined with use of the Force. By allowing the Force to flow through their body, the user can overcome physical limitations and use their body to perform amazing acrobatic feats, both to attack and to evade. He hopes to master this form, enabling him to move around his opponents like a blur. Favoured Force Power(s): As well as extensive use of the telekinetic and Force Push portions of Force Powers, Corin also uses Force Speed and Force Jump to great effect, helping him in the use of Ataru, and he is trying to learn the Saber Throw technique, but he is not very good at it yet, so he doesn?t tend to rely on it in battle. View of the Force: Being a rebel, Corin states that he disagrees with the Council, but in reality, he believes that most of their teachings were right. But not all of them. For instance, he believes that if the need arises, a Jedi should be allowed to kill an opponent. For instance, if the life of an innocent is being threatened by a hostile, the hostile should be taken care of in any way possible. And secretly, he has studied some Dark Side Arts, but never put them into practice, only read about them.
Jokopoko
You're sign up [And everyone elses since my own bio was posted.] is fine Wraith but I need to point something out. This RP is roughly 850 years before "A New Hope" so Yoda is a Jedi Knight at this point but still well respected and revered but Jedi such as Qui-Gon and Dooku are a long way off so if you could edit those parts of the bio that'll be great. Currently we just need two more sign-ups and then Gav and I can pair up the Knights and the Padawans, then the fun begins. Yoda
Name: Krauv?os?seoni (Is called by the abbreviation ?Voss?) Age: 27 Species: Chiss Gender: Male Appearance: Despite a very humanoid form, a combination of the universal secrecy of the Chiss and many Races? religious views on evil means that Voss is often aesthetically compared to a demon. He has the intimidating deep blue skin and glaring ruby eyes of his race, and has allowed his navy hair to grow scruffily down to shoulder length, covering a scar extending from the upper left of his forehead to the temple-side of his left eye. Voss is quite tall for a man of his species, standing at 1.82 metres. He is of medium build, and like most Jedi has an exceptional level of physical fitness, reflected in his body. If not for his race and thus skin colour, he would not stand out at all in a crowd. However, his striking appearance gives him a somewhat dark aura, one that many people would find quite unsettling. Voss wears what would be considered very dark attire for a Jedi, as although he wears the traditional attire of a Jedi, they are black in colour. Though this only augments Voss? somewhat sinister appearance, he would feel more uncomfortable wearing anything with a light tone. Personality: As a Chiss, Voss has been conditioned to temper feelings of anger, fear and revenge, as they were considered self-deprecating by his species; limiting their ability to focus completely on their field of work. This would seem to be the perfect racial match for a Jedi lifestyle, were it not for a Chiss? natural air of superiority, which, unfortunately, Voss also exhibits. Though he battles against it, he was cultured with a natural cynicism for other races from birth, and though he would never speak it aloud, he subconsciously blames his companions? race for their shortcomings. Most would consider Voss a somewhat distant and brooding character, though not shy. His eyes are a mirror to the workings of his mind, which seem to constantly be analysing and calculating; another trait of the Chiss. His tendency to see the harsh logic of every situation mean that often his Jedi responsibilities conflict with what is mind is telling him is the sensible solution. As such, some situations can quickly become frustrating for Voss. Voss? cynical and commonsensical mind do however aid him greatly in battle. He has a brilliant tactical mind, and is expertly able to exploit an enemies greatest weakness; their confidence in their strengths. This is exemplified in his Makashi fighting style, which uses precision and balance to turn an enemies attack on its head. General Overview: A Chiss child is born under the flag of one of four major families, and Voss was born to the Leoni clan. As per most Chiss, his name is comprised of three parts; his clan name, his given name (Voss), and also a pre-curse, which is Voss? case was Krau, a play on the Cheunh word for gifted. The four rival families often lived in concern that their line may be wiped out by another, and so they would breed shadow children; Chiss babies whose identity and very existence would be kept secret from all but the most essential people. Voss was one of these children, and if not for this fact, he would never have been allowed to become a Jedi. Some 22 years ago a Republic Vessel was shot down as it flew unauthorised through Chiss space. The crewe was taken captive and treated as criminals, which in essence they were. This Chiss held no affiliation with the Republic at this time, and due to their secret nature, were most unwelcoming to alien craft. The Chiss treated this as an act of disrespect, and demanded their contempt be heard and noted if the prisoners were to be released. As it were, a Jedi was dispatched to Csilla to amend the dispute. Whilst there he met with the Head?s of the four families, all of which came supported by their own personal guards. The Leoni Head was guarded by Tristh?un?kleoni, and the Jedi could not misplace the scent of the force on him, thought it did not come from him. When the opportunity came, the Jedi confronted the Chiss male, inquiring about his child. The male was perplexed and naturally defensive that this Jedi knew of his child, as he had been kept a secret from even the head of the Leoni family. The Jedi played on the Chiss? incline towards logic, suggesting that he would be nowhere more secret or more protected from enemies than in the hands of the Galaxies peacekeepers. This is how Krauv?os?seoni came to be a part of the Jedi Order. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: In his pursuit of precision, Voss has made only two lightsabers in his life. The first he made when he was a Padawan, it was very basic in design and function. However, to further his prowess in the Makashi style, Voss made a lightsaber with a curved hilt soon after he reached Knighthood, which he has been constantly tweaking and upgrading ever since. The casing is made of dallorian, an alloy that is almost as light and strong as it is expensive. The inner curve of the hilt is made of etched graphite; allowing superior grip, which is essential as Makashi favours a one handed style mostly. At the base the hilt bulges slightly into an orb, where Voss keeps twin power packs, one as a back-up incase the primary one fails. The alloy gives the hilt a very light-silver sheen, which almost gleams when held in his dark hands. Lightsaber(s) Type: Most practitioners of Makashi use Dual-Phase lightsabers, the Dual Phase function used as an initial, pre-emptive strike to surprise an enemy and throw them off balance. However, Chiss believe pre-emptive and unannounced blows to be most dishonourable, and so Voss chose not to include this function on his lightsaber. As such, he stuck with the standard lightsaber build. Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Voss uses a very rare Eralam crystal in his lightsaber, renowned for producing a very defined and sharp blade of sky blue, making it lighter than the blade produced by llum crystals. Voss saw this crystal as the clearly definitive choice for a Makashi practioner. Lightsaber Combat Style: Voss uses the Makashi style in order to minimise his own weaknesses, by specialising in enhancing his opponents weaknesses. Using Makashi?s focus on precise strikes and balance, he can quickly make the strong seem sluggish, the quick seem erratic, and the focused seem asleep. Favoured Force Power(s): Voss? tendency to turn his opponents attacks against them naturally was started when he developed this power as a Padawan. He seemed to have a natural affinity for the Force Immunity power, which is able to de-direct an opponents attack back at them Voss has also been studying the dangerous technique Morichro, despite the fact that it is frowned upon by the council. This technique allows him to slow the heart-rate, breathing and metabolism of either himself of an opponent. Used on himself, it allows feats such as holding his breath for longer or halting poison in the blood stream, but it could also be used to inflict nausea, unconsciousness and even death upon others, and as such draws dangerously near to the dark side of the force. View of the Force: Voss views the Force as an enhancement of self, much like, say, an extra pair of arms, which is an extension of yourself that allows you to reach greater levels of achievement in whatever you pursue. This is how he rationalises the light and dark sides of the force and the way different beings strive in different areas of the force, as it is an extension of the being you are; your personality, your strength and your weaknesses. Ozymandius Jones
Name: Taj Niko Age: 15 Race: Gungan Gender: Female Appearance: Taj is tall and gangly, like most of her race. Still being young, she's "only" six feet tall, and very slender. Her hands and feet seem to be a bit too big for the rest of her. Her patch-markings are a little darker, and her skin under them is a little lighter than those shown in the picture, and her eyes are dark green. She wears loose white pants and a tunic under a pine green hooded robe. She also carries a silver whistle on a hemp chord. No real reason, she just likes the noise. Personality: Taj is very...enthusiastic. When she is given a job to do, she tries her hardest to get it done. Whether the results always turn out the way that is wanted/needed is a touchy point. She rarely acts with the decorum needed for a Jedi, although this is something she's trying to develop; something her Master has been admirably patient about. She also has problems being patient. When she is waiting for things, she wants them now. However, she is incredibly flexible with her time, often giving up free time to help friends. General Overview: Gungans are not known for being great Jedi. Comedians, perhaps. Mechanics, perhaps. Anglers, perhaps. But Jedi? Not really. Which is why it was such a surprise for Rav and Gil Niko when the Jedi said that their little girl had Jedi potential. So at the age of three, Taj was taken to the Academy. While there, she did have a few problems. The language, for one. Basic is not easy for a Gungan to learn...and while a Gungan can learn it, they sound very silly in the process. And even little Jedi kids can tease. Another problem was her clumsiness. While a little clumsiness is normal in children, it seemed almost chronic in Taj. the friendly Gungan took the teasing in stride, never putting too much thought into what the other children were saying, except when they teased her accent. Over the years, the teasing has ceased, most realizing that behind the odd accent and gangly form is someone always willing to listen to any problem. Taj has slowly began developing into a slightly more graceful being; her lightsaber training unlocking a sure-footed-ness that she's never felt before. Thus far, the grace only appears in lightsaber training, but her master assures her that she won't be clumsy for the rest of her life. Jedi Overview Lightsaber(s) Appearance: The hilt is silver blue, a foot long, and etched through with bronze sea creatures. The etchings serve a dual purpose - they remind her of her home world, and also act as grips to keep her saber from slipping through her fingers. Lightsaber(s) Type: Standard. This is mostly due to Taj?s lack of learning and grace; she is not yet at a skill level where she could use a double without causing injury to herself, and her constant darting makes the concept of a blade that shifts lengths, as in a dual-phase saber, a terrifying concept indeed... Lightsaber(s) Crystal/Colour: Taj?s lightsaber is powered by a Mephite crystal, as is typical. The blade is a sunny orange, and Taj has inhanced the blade with a Jenraux crystal for speed. Lightsaber Combat Style: Sokan [Form VIII]. This form uses much of the agile, flexible traits of Ataru, along with a knowledge and use of the fighting surroundings, effectively forcing an opponent to shift positions according to the landscape. Its combination of speed, agility and large use of terrain make it ideal for a long-legged fighter. Favoured Force Power(s): Force Jump and Valor are the areas Taj studies the most. Her method of combat is very close to her method of everyday living ? enthusiastic and energetic, and often spastic. While this does make her an unpredictable opponent, it is draining when used as a combat form. Valor is used to increase her stamina, and replace the energy that she rapidly burns off. Force Jump is often used to inhance her already large jumps, allowing her to cover the large amounts of land utilized in Sokan form combat. View of the Force: Taj believes the Force is in all things, and all things are in the Force, and that it is something to be respected as you would respect any other living being; also that it is good to have a healthy fear of it, same as you would fear any tool or weapon.

Boba Fett
Character Overview Name: Irik Nar Age: 24 Species: Rodian Gender: Male. Appearance: His skin like a watermelon ? dark green with an assortment of lighter streaks ? Irik?s mottled complexion isn?t the only was he stands out from his peers. With big antennae and larger, oval ears he is easy to spot in a crowd. Unlike the flowing and distinctive robes of a Jedi knight, Irik dresses in the clothes of a commoner. He is most often seen sporting faded pants with a utility belt and a comfortable nerf-hide jacket. Personality: Even in the cloistered, aloof bubble that is the Jedi Temple, the mindless savagery of the Rodian species was well known. Although Irik feels the same primal drives, his training as a Jedi has led him to suppress them. Timid and unsure of himself, Irik has been unable to harness his inner feelings constructively as many Jedi do ? Mace Windu in has adoption of Vaapad, for example. Instead, Irik has become a dedicated pacifist. His lightsaber, although it has seen combat, has never killed another being; he will not even deflect a blaster bolt back at an opponent. Creative problem-solving has been his answer to this self-imposed handicap, which continually confounds his opponents and infuriates those assigned him as a sparring partner. General Overview: Irik knows nothing of his parents, and like many Jedi his earliest memories are of the temple?s nursery. A bright child, Irik learned to speak quickly and never tired of asking ?Why?,? to his caretakers. Weeks before his third year, Irik was one of only two children that survived the crash of a large hovertaxi into one of the temple?s towers. The trauma of the accident, where seven younglings perished, affected Irik deeply despite the best efforts of the temple?s healers. He didn?t talk for six years. It was during this silence that Irik spent almost all his free time in the temple?s archives, where he spent much of his time reading classical literature and following galactic politics on the holonet. This has given him a great deal of knowledge about ? and opinion on ? galactic politics. After he did, finally, speak again, Irik made up for lost time. He never misses a chance to ask a tough question or offer a dissenting opinion on conventional wisdom. Sparring is a favorite activity of Irik?s, and his choice of form III fits well with his personality. Physically fit, mentally sharp and patient as a granite slug digesting its food, Irik will duel for hours without pause. Not wishing, even in practice, to deal a ?killing? blow, he will instead point out to his opponent their mistake (often sparking another, and another). Irik?s Jedi Knight trial was one of the more controversial in recent memory. Assigned to break a glitterstem ring in the Corporate Sector, Irik successfully infiltrated the network and was able to destroy a freighter full of the addicting spice. His plan hit an unexpected snag: the penalty for spice trafficking in the sector is death. As a pacifist, he could not in good conscience turn the half-dozen prisoners he?d taken over to the CSA. Instead he dropped them off on an uninhabited world with the full supplies of the consular vessel he?d been assigned. After ensuring the planet was safe, Irik returned to Coruscant. ... a week later than expected and missing thousands of credits worth of Republic supplies. Not to mention an infuriated delegation from the Corporate Sector demanding to know what happened to the missing smugglers. After much deliberation, the council decided to grant Irik the title of Knight. Other haven?t been so forgiving. Blacklisted diplomatically, Irik has become a follower of the living force and travels wherever it leads him. Jedi Overview Lightsaber Appearance: Irik?s lightsaber is constructed in accordance with his view of it ? as a tool. Light, with variable blade length and circumference, this saber is a versatile tool that can be used a weapon. The hilt is made of an ultra-light durasteel alloy and is coated with a vulcanized rubber grip that allows the wielder to retain his grip even during the longest of battles. It is a dull gray in color. Small recessed dials and buttons control the saber?s functions. Lightsaber Type: Irik?s lightsaber is of standard design Lightsaber Crystals/Color: The blade of Irik?s lightsaber is a soft yellow, almost white. It is provided by a synthetic crystal. Lightsaber Combat Style: Style III Favored Force Powers: Irik favors force persuade and force push. He practices a wide array of force endurance and healing techniques, most notably force-trace for healing. View of the Force: Irik considers the force to be, just as it is was first related to him ? an all encompassing energy field. Sentient beings, he believes, have divided it ? like themselves ? into the camps of good and evil. He has not used a ?dark? force power, although he has used mind tricks for less altruistic purposes (?This meal is on the house.?).
Gavin
I know myself and Bill promised we'd have Shades of the Force launched by Saturday, and while I am somewhat regretful about missing the deadline, we will have two new characters for the RPG added by two of the most knowledgably and skilled Star Wars role-players on all of OB. Alex [Siren] and Dave [Boba Fett] have agreed to come on board the RPG and we're going to delay launching until Wednesday evening. Again I am sorry for the delay, but when we launch this it will be worth the wait, I promise.
Jokopoko
Shades of the Force is now up in the Square. We've decided to use the Chapter system now given that we have, I think, sixteen players and without it things would just go nuts. Those who have yet to finish their sign-ups forms please wait until you've finished them to post. All out of character discussion can now take place here, see you in the RP. Boba Fett
While I like the idea of having knight/padawan teams posting more or less concurrently, it appears this suggestion is slowing the plot development (with regard to posting in general) considerably. Currently we are "waiting" for Mr. Jones or Gavin to post following Jokopoko and Yoda. No rush, criticism or other negative feeling implied above. Further, as my padawan (Brasil) hasn't posted his sign up, I'm not sure I could follow this advisement if I wanted to. In short, just how strictly should we be adhering to this advisement?
Jokopoko
Okay, lets have the Knights posting first because given that they're the "leader" of their own pair if would make more sense. Padawans should follow suit, either posting a continuation of events or their own reactions to what has already happened. Just as long as this doesn't get too much out of hand I'll be happy. As an after thought in order to keep track of who's who, other than reading user names, I may start asking people to post who they are at the start of their post and who they're following on from. Something like: Asi-Mar-Umdal in reply to Galren Jeth. I'm not saying do it now but it may happen because the pair dynamic of this RP just makes posting that little bit harder when posting as a team.
