Guest Heero yuy
1-The blood brothers (they messed up, but it was fine anyway( 2-As I Lay Dying (It was awesome, besides the hardcore dancers) 3-Taking Back Sunday (When John Nolan and Shaun Cooper was still in it, I was in 10th grade.) 4-36 Crazy Fists (I knew the Leadsinger, Brock from his old girlfriend, she was my math teacher.) 5-Underoath (with old singer, I love Changing of Times...) 6-Story Of The Year (Adam aka "femass" was too good..on bass..great on stage presence...backflips and guitar swings up the ying yang) that's all I have, that I can remember. What's yours?
OMNOMNOMALY
I've only really been to two concerts. I've seen The Killers with Tegan and Sara, and I've seen Metric with The Lovely Feathers, and The Most Serene Republic. Out of the two, I'd have to say Metric. Emily Haines has an amazing stage presence, and she just gets so into it. Brendan Flowers of the Killers pretty much just stood there. :animestun
Jakehammaren
The best concert I've ever seen (and possibly of all time) was Trivium and Amon Amarth in support of Children of Bodom. I'd be hard-pressed to find a concert in the U.S. that tops that.

Corey
The absolute best concert I've ever been to absolutely had to be System of a Down during their most recent tour. They stopped in Chicago in late September, and my best friend and I drove down there to see them. Those guys know how to rock. There's absolutely no other way to describe it.
Guest bblackdahlia
One of the best I have been to has to be Authority Zero. Don't get me wrong, I have been to at least 20 to 30 different shows within the past few years, and they have all been great, but the crowd for that band just moved in one solid mass instead of having about four mosh pits going on all at once. Almost a spiritual experience, lol. Korn a few years ago was pretty cool, but they lacked the energy by the time they got to Tampa for the Untouchables tour... V. Guest poison girl
well considering i have only been to 2 concerts i would have to say the lamb of god and fireball ministry one. although it was a very crowded place and we were upstairs, it was still a really good show. ^_^
Saya
The best concert I've ever been to (to date that is) was probably my first concert ever. It was the Community Service Tour including Orbital (mainly an Orbital concert), Crystal Method, Lo-Fi All Stars, and a few really cool DJs (Kelley, etc). Again though, for an Orbital concert, as many people know that have gone to electronica concerts, you probably see the main band performing for about 30 minutes if you're lucky... but it was worth it. At the time I think I went with my friend at the time Pierre and either one of my parents because I was nervous about there being so many people (I'm actually one of those strange germ freaks you read about in the paper when you have nothing better to do) or with a girlfriend at the time, not quite sure (might just have been with Pierre after all). When we came home from the concert I remember my ears felt like... well, I felt like I was going to die... little did I know that I'd feel that same horrid feeling in my ears and throat every time I went to a similar concert! The lighting was the best I've ever seen at techno concert - I mean really awesome, from the standard smoke and laser lights through the sky, to big full florescent lights that lit the entire stage the full length of the concert room... truly mesmerizing. There are a number of pictures from the tour online, I'd check them out. I've been to a number of concerts since (for all sorts of music from blues - which I might add is my heart and soul to techno, and yet this concert was my favorite). Community Service Tour was in New York *tries to think when* sites say 1999 but I seem to recall it being a little earlier, oh well, I think my shirt has the date but I'm going to have to look for it later. :) EDIT: Wow, all these bands you guys are naming... I've never even heard of them with the exception of Story Of The Year, Korn, and System of a Down. :/ lol
sakurasuka
Green Day, hands down. They just have certain something that makes you want to scream until your throat hurts--Which I did! It's hard to believe Billie Joe's in his thirties, he looks so young! I also liked that Jimmy Eat World opened for them. They're alright. Better than most punk bands these days. Oh, and the REO Speedwagon/Styx concert a few weeks ago in Atlanta was good, too.

The Newfie
My best-concert ever is a bit of a three-way tie: A few years back (I really cannot remember when) I somhow managed to snag some tickeets to the Runnin' Back Thru Canada tour by the reuinited Guess Who. They didn't play at huge venues, and the band itself is incredible. It was The Guess Who's first tour together since Randy Bachman left the band (To form BTO) and Kurt Winter died. Seeing Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings on stage together was just amazing - and when they did their tribute to Kurt I was almost in tears. That, and the band is totally kick ***. Another one was this year. Again, I had to spend obscene amounts of money, but I managed to get my hands on a few tickets to the RUSH R30 aniveristy tour. The closest place was all the way in Montreal, though, so I had to drive about 8 hours to get there - absolutly worth it. They played in the Bell Centre, which is a pretty large place that mainly serves as a hockey arena not a concert hall, but it was great! I've been a huge RUSH fan since I was a kid, but this was the first time I'd seen them live. RUSH's drummer, Neil Peart, is the greatest drummer of all time (And that is not bragging, listen to him and you'll have to agree) and when The Professor went into his 15-minuet drum solo I, and 30,000 other RUSH fans, were exstatic! One of my most memorable concerts wasn't in a bar or in a huge concert hall - it was out at sea on a fishing run. We ran into a pod of whales (Big freaking whales!) out in the open ocean, and, let me tell ya, whales can sing. We were all alone that night and the sea was quiet. The whales seemed to be singing only to us - the whole thing was just serene. We took a break from out ship duties, grabbed the lawn chairs, and just sat there, listening to the whales sing. They really seemed into the concert, too - they were leaping clean out of the water, and I tell ya that beats the hell out of any light show or fancy concert effecft. Charon
I love Tegan and Sara. But some reason, they skip the city I live in.
Yes! Tegan and Sara have the best live show I've seen. And they have some really hardcore fans...their fanforums have video and audio of tons of shows they've done. Of course, being there in person is about 90% of the concert. M.I.A. is also really good live. It's nice that she can actually rap without a backing track/ a dozen back up rappers. Shi no Tenshi
I'd have to say Nazareth. It's great when a band does a little bit of stand up comedy rather than just expect the audience to entertain themselves by thrashing around. Besides, I got to appreciate the music without the addition of sweaty preteens and flailing 'rock on' hand symbols. Oh yes, and I was right next to the speaker ;>
Sara
I've only been to one concert (not counting school groups and the like). I went to go see The Newsboys, a Christian rock (?) group a couple years ago. It was seriously so much fun. ^_^
Boo
I've been to two concerts in total. Paul Simon and Queen & Paul Rodger. The Paul Simon concert was brilliant. There were only old people in the hall, so if I stood up, I always blocked the sight of people behind me. I went to the Queen & Paul Rodger concert just for Queen and luckily they practically didn't sing any Paul Rodger songs at all (1 and a half at most). This one was brilliant aswell. The drums and the guitar (Roger Taylor and Brian May) are still fantastic, and Paul Rodger's voice was a good replacement of Freddy's. He has this really nice concert voice. At the end I got myself a tour guitar pick in the shape of a coin. It's always in my wallet, which is always in my pocket :3 Hmm, I also went to a performance of a dutch band, which was pretty good aswell. I'm just sure no one of you knows it. Gothic InuYasha
LEPROSY! I love death metal! They did a cover of ' Raining Blood ' by Slayer and they also did a cover of Cannibal Corpse. It was great!
Linkk
I love concerts and I love going to see them. Am expensive hobby of mine. So far all the concerts I have seen have been great. Samsara
My best were: Metallica w/ Godsmack - Godsmack suprised me that night, much better than I expected. Metallica were beyond great. I can't wait to see them again. Ministry w/ Hanzel Und Gretyl and Opiate For The Masses - Every band on this gig was amazing. That was the first time I had heard Hanzel Und Gretyl and Opiate for the Masses. I fell in love with both bands. I actually had a chance to meet a couple of members of Opiate for the Masses, so that was really cool. Sevendust w/ Nonpoint- This was great because it was my first concert and it was in a small venue, which made it even better. Big Day Out in ATL- I forget the year, but the two bands that made this really cool was Stone Sour and Stone Temple Pilots. STP broke up not long after this, so I was lucky I suppose. Nine Inch Nails w/ Queens of the Stone Age and Death From Above 1979- DFA1979 were good, Queens of the Stone Age were a little disappointing, and Nine Inch Nails were amazing. These are the worst concerts I have sadly attended: Seether-Saw these guys at some festival in Birmingham, AL. I am a fan of the band, but they were terrible that day. The Roots-These guys were at the Big Day Out in ATL I attended. They were extremely boring. Tonic-(see above) Crossfade-Ugh. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. If you thought their album was bad, their live show makes their album look like The Wall.
TIFFJUGGALETTE
I have been to Many Badfish (A tribute to Sublime)Concert's.If your a Sublime fan and Badfish play's in your area it's a must see show. They are awsome and sound just like sublime.Their concert's bring out so much energy in people and it's just awsome.I also went to an ICP Hallowicked concert in October,I like ICP but the concert was a big dissapointment. We paid $30 per ticket and they were saying we hope u plan on being here all night and they were only on stage for like 30 minutes.I was very dissapointed will never go to see them again waste of money i'll just buy their cd's longer time of hearing their music and cheaper.lol.I am most deffinately going to the next badfish concert on March 4th 2006 at POP'S in Sauget Illinois. You can check them out just click Badfish.com into your browser and u can listen to them.Remember the music on their site was recorded live at concert so there is interferrence from the crowd sound's much better being there.Check it out though. eleanor
I don't know if this will count, but I went to see the Blue Man Group recently when my school orchestra went to Chicago. One word= amazing. It was hilarious at times and the music they made was pretty crazy good to listen to. I also sat in the 'poncho' seats, which means you have the possibility of getting stuff thrown at you... unfortunately I got pelted with this incredibly weird red gelatinous thing that smelled very bad... >_> Anyways. It was a very enjoyable concert. The place it was held at was small, so it was nice. For some reason I don't really like sitting through the giant ones bands play at where everyone is screaming their lungs out. :/
lankyjick
I went to a Polyphonic Spree show. It was a really awesome experience, it was so much fun. Even if they're not my most favourite band it was the best show I'd ever been to. Also Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, just because I was seeing one of my most favourite bands live who were playing my favourite songs. It was... surreal. Beause I listen to them everyday and I just see pictures and video of them, so seeing them in person was... wow.
Renate
I haven't gone to a lot of concerts in my life yet, but the best one definitely was Howard Shore (composer of the LOTR music) giving a LOTR concert in Antwerp. It was the first one in Europe I believe and it was really enchanting. Howard had to keep coming back because the public kept claping while standing. My brother said he had tears in his eyes! =^^=
